Chapter 5

Posted: May 25, 2007 - 01:39:38 pm

Gilas accompanied Jon to Control as their visitor started getting closer. The Light Cruiser slowly spiraled out from the sixth planet in a definite search pattern. At one point it stopped and sat for ten minutes. Jon and Gilas arrived just in time to see it fold out of system.

"Strange" Bill said.

"Captain on deck!" A marine stationed at the door yelled.

Everyone stood and came to attention, Jon just eyed everyone strangely and said "At ease."

Jon and Gilas walked over where Bill was standing and introduced them.

"What was strange?" Gilas asked.

"They just folded out after sitting still for about ten minutes." Bill said having the record replayed.

Gilas watched the cruiser and said "That's the Advent, she was one of the escorts."

"Ghost log ship displayed as Advent." Jon said "Also log Titan's signature."

"I can do better than that Captain. I'll get Carex to upload out data base on current ships to the station. The rest of the information I'll have to get an ok from the Empire to release."

"Thank you, that would be very helpful. Well Bill, since the current crisis is over, I think I'll take the Commander back to his ship."

Bill nodded, saluted and turned to make his rounds.

On their way down to the docking platform their discussion resumed.

"So Jon what can I do to show you we need your help?" Gilas asked.

Jon looked or at Gilas and leaned on the wall, sighing "I know you need our help, well at least you think you do. Would you need our help if you controlled the station?"

"Uh..."

"See, I thought not. I just happen to be in a unique position right now. You could, if you wanted, take the station by force, I'm sure you have enough men to do so. But I and my crew hold the key codes right now for the station and Atlantis. You still have to send a message to the Empire about what has happened and get a response before you can actually do anything."

"I won't take the station by force. You saved our lives and are helping repair our ship. It would be wrong for us to attack you."

"I don't think you will Gilas. I hope the Empire welcomes us and asks us to join and as long as their goals are parallel to ours we will assist. Right now our goals are the same, to kick the ever living shit out of the Invaru."

Gilas was developing a newer respect for this young Earthling. Using the repair drones the way he did was brilliant. He couldn't ever remember hearing of that being done before. "Jon can I tell you one thing?"

Jon just nodded.

"Like you just said, you hold the key codes. Remember that and never forget it."

Jon just stared at Gilas, surprised he would tell him that.

The lift shuddered, to a stop and the doors opened to admit Brad and Terri, who both saluted, then continued on its way.

"Brad, Terri this is Commander Gilas. Gilas, this is Brad our Chief Engineer and Terri our Flight Officer."

Gilas shook both of their hands thanking them for helping his crew.

Jon asked "Where are you two headed?"

"Platform One." Terri said with an evil grin

Jon laughed and Brad rolled his eyes. Gilas just smiled a bit and chuckled.

"I'm headed down to Platform Control to oversee the replacement of some of the armor plates that were lost in the battle. Terri wants to get a look at the Titan and maybe if she can bribe someone, her fighters." Brad said "On a side note Captain we're running low on supplies for repairs. I don't have the man power to start up the foundries or the production plants. I think we have enough to complete the repairs on Atlantis, Titan and maybe a few other ships but that's about it until I can get production plants back up and running."

"Ok, we might have to pull crew once the ships are finished and build our supplies back up." Jon replied

"What are we going to do about food supplies?" Terri asked

"Gilas is going to be kind enough to help us with that." Jon said as he smiled

"Oh, I think I like him already." Brad said

"You like anyone as long as they put food in front of you. Just don't start humping his leg, ok?" Terri said with a gleam in her eye.

Gilas' mouth dropped open as he looked at Brad, not sure if he had heard right.

"Yeah well..." Brad started but wasn't able to find the right come back.

"What was that?" Terri said raising her eyebrows

"Nothing." Muttered Brad

Jon was trying hard to not laugh. But between the look on Gilas' face and Brad's attempted come back. He couldn't take it any longer and burst out laughing, Terri was quick to follow suit. Then Gilas caught on and started laughing, followed shortly by Brad.

The lift stopped one floor above the Platform, Terri and Brad got off. Terri told them she would see them later on the Platform after she got a good look from here. Jon just grinned at her girlish enthusiasm and gave her a peck on the cheek and said he would see her later.

Two seconds later Jon and Gilas stepped from the lift and walked through the door leading to the Platform. They were both in a quiet discussion about the recent events when they got interrupted by an argument taking place at one of the airlocks that led to the Titan. As they got closer they started hearing the conversation.

"Sergeant Nowl you will stand aside and let me pass!" a man said loudly

"I'm sorry Sir, but the Commander's orders are that no one is allowed to leave the ship for any reason until he returns." Nowl replied

"Do you not know who I am? I said stand aside now."

"Sorry Sir, I can't do that."

Jon saw the other six people behind the irate man and looked over to Gilas. Gilas was as white as a sheet and picked up his pace. Jon turned and motioned the security detachment to follow him.

"If you don't move I'll have you shot!"

"You do that and I'll find somewhere to lose you on this station and no one will ever find you." Jon said stepping up beside Nowl.

Nowl relaxed as Gilas stepped up on his other side.

The man turned his anger on Jon, "And just who do you think you are?!"

"You yell at me again and you'll find out who I am. I'll order the station to move your ship out of the berth and let you figure out how you're going to get home. But first I'll invite everyone willing to come aboard the station and leave you seven to rot." Jon said now glaring at the man

The man stared daggers at Jon but in a controlled voice again asked who he was.

"I'm commander of Ghost Station and Captain of the battle cruiser Atlantis."

"Ah so you're the one who stole our station. Commander I order you to arrest this man and his crew." The man said to Gilas as he pointed at Jon.

Jon sighed, he knew it was going to happen.

"Excuse me? On what charges am I to arrest him and his crew on?" Gilas asked in obvious shock

"The charge of piracy." The man said as he crossed his arms over his chest as a grin spread on his face.

Nowl looked over at Gilas and then at Jon then back to the man standing before him. He felt a presence behind him and turned to look briefly and saw a large man at the head of about 25 security personnel storming their way.

"Well Commander are you going to do as ordered or should I have you removed and allow your XO take your place?"

Gilas looked over at Jon then back to the man.

Unseen to the people inside, four fighters slipped up next to the Titan and covered her only exposed launch bay. The repair drones also were recalled back to the station stopping their work on the massive ship.

"Councilor I can not in good faith follow that order, this man saved our lives including yours. It is an unlawful order since he holds the key codes to the station and Atlantis."

Nowl took a step forward putting himself between the councilor and his commanding officer while pushing Jon back next to the Gilas. "Sorry sir but if my commanding officer thinks you're a good man that's enough for me. I wouldn't want you to get hurt if anything happens." He whispered.

The councilor scowled "Commander one more time I order you to place him and his crew under arrest for piracy. Disobey and I'll remove you from command."

"And I'm telling you it's an unlawful order and I won't follow it. Do what you will but I refuse to follow it and I will report this to the high council. This is a military matter not a political one, so you have no right to demand anything."

As Gilas said that Marc had reached them and spread his men out and walked over to protect Jon. One of the other airlocks cycled open and 50 marines poured out in full battle dress with the XO in the lead.

Jon leaned over and whispered something to Marc who just nodded and turned and walked a slight distance away.

The councilor looked over and smiled as the marines entered the station's Platform. When the XO walked up next to Gilas he looked over at the councilor. The marines and the stations security detachment faced off, ten of them followed the XO. Gilas frowned and leaned over and told Jon he was sorry.

"Lieutenant Commander Carex, if you would be so kind as to place Commander Gilas under arrest for high treason and Mr. Hunter under arrest for piracy. The Titan is yours to command now, I give you full authority."

Carex looked at the councilor and frowned then back to Gilas and Jon.

Carex made a motion with his hand and the ten marines with him started to move towards Jon and Gilas just as the lights dimmed and turned red.

"Do WHAT?!" Bill almost screamed.

"I said lock down Platform One, no one in and no one out, by order of the Captain. A councilor is trying to have him arrested for piracy." Marc's voice said calmly

"Of all the rotten no good for nothing..." Bill mutter angrily "Comm get me Platform One Control."

"Link established" Comm reported.

Hushed whispers filled the air in Control.

"Platform Control this is the Control lock down the Platform until further notice."

"Roger that, we have called in additional security and have four fighters standing by the Titan. I have ordered all drones to return to the station and have cut the power feed and computer links. We also have Medical standing by just incase." Brad's voice replied

"Good keep me informed Control out."

As the ten marines got close to Jon and Gilas, Marc started to intercept them.

"No Commander don't interfere. I don't want any more deaths." Jon said stopping Marc who just nodded.

"You too, Nowl stand aside, no reason to get involved." Gilas said

The councilor let a grin cover his face as he sensed their defeat.

The ten marines stepped past Jon and Gilas and grabbed the Councilor who started yelling.

"What do you think you're doing? Let me go this instant!"

The six people still inside of the airlock started to raise their weapons when eight marines from the Titan flooded into the room ordering them to stand down.

"I demand to know just what you think you're doing?" The councilor yelled at Carex

"My job. You are under arrest for attempted mutiny. Take him and his friends away."

The councilor yelled and screamed the whole time as they dragged him away and threw him in the brig.

The people on the platform relaxed.

"He'll try to have you and me up on charges Carex, you know that right?" Gilas asked

"So let him try, the man you had arrested confessed to the plot to have you removed and to take the station over. You have been a thorn in the councilor's side ever since you defied him in the battle of Ballamead. He's tried numerous times to have you removed from command. I think this time though he's going to find himself in more trouble than he can wiggle out of."

Gilas just nodded and turned to Jon, "Sorry about that, this is my XO Lieutenant Commander Carex."

"Nice to meet you Commander, Captain Hunter. You can just call me Jon." Jon shook the man's hand

"Thanks, you can just call me Carex if we're dropping formalities."

Jon nodded and said "Ghost get me Control."

'Link established, ' Ghost's voice replied.

"XO lift the security lock down on Platform One."

"Yes Sir, is everything all right?"

"Yes, there was just a little mix up, that's all."

"Roger that, Control out."

The light on the Platform returned to normal and Terri burst through the main doors as soon as they cycled open running to Jon. Brad and Andie weren't far behind. Slowly the men started talking and mingling and started to get to know one another.

"Are you ok!" Terri all but yelled as she turned her brother around inspecting him.

"Yes, just a bit dizzy now thanks to you." Jon replied once he stopped spinning.

Terri turned a couple shades red and stopped inspecting him.

"Gilas since you're going to be here for a while, why not allow your men shore leave?" Jon said turning back to Gilas and his XO "It would give us a chance to get to know one another better."

Gilas' eyes turned down "I don't know if that would be such a good idea considering what just happened."

"Oh I don't know about that. Why not just assign these men here to the station as a security detachment." Jon said motioning to the men on the Platform.

With that Gilas' eyes lit up, "That might work, as long as you don't mind."

"I wouldn't have suggested it if I did. They all seemed loyal to you and your XO, so I would have no problem with that as long as while they were on the base they fell under the command structure here. Marc would be their commanding officer while on duty here. He would set up four man patrols, two of ours and two of yours."

"Well these aren't really security personnel, but that's how we use them. They're part of the ship's marine complement."

"Let's set up a reception here where I can tell our story, and while we're eating we can iron out the details."

Gilas nodded "Sounds good."

The next day Jon stood on a raised platform in Platform One's docking bay looking out over the people gathered there. Gilas and his crew had supplied all of the food and refreshments and there were mixed marines and station security stationed at various points. To his right sat Gilas and Carex and a man Jon had not been introduced to yet. On his left sat Terri, Brad, Mike, Andie and Bill. They were all in updated formal dress uniforms, supplied by Gilas.

Earlier that day Gilas and Jon along with Marc's help had finalized the security detail for the station. They had decided not to wait until after the reception. Marc was given 75 marines to use for security and Jon had given permission for the Titan's fighters to be housed in the main launch bay. Terri had been asked to work with one of the flight controllers from the Titan and to set up patrols. She was only too happy to agree, figuring it would give her and her crew a chance to fly some of the newer craft.

Jon's tale of their journey here held everyone's attention in the room. After he was done people started murmuring amongst themselves. Slowly people started to stand and bow to Jon and his crew, sharing their pain in spite of what they had been through the past 800 years.

As the reception slowly came to an end, people kept coming by and telling Jon and his crew how sorry they were that this had happened to his people. Jon noticed Gilas and Carex in a heated discussion and started walking towards them.

"No we can't, not without the approval from the Imperial Senate." Carex said

"I say we can. This is a war time situation and we need to make a choice. We don't have time to send a message and wait for a reply, I'm sure it will be positive anyway." Gilas replied.

"If not, then what?"

"Hrm... how about we send the message, then render assistance."

"Render assistance? There's no one that needs assistance."

Jon finally reached them and asked "Is someone in trouble?"

Gilas turned and smiled turn turned back to Carex, "See what I mean they think about themselves last. It's kind of refreshing isn't it?"

Carex smiled and nodded.

"I heard you say something about rendering assistance. If someone is in need I'll see what I can do." Jon said.

Gilas turned back to Jon "Sure there is someone in need, you."

Jon frowned "Huh?"

Gilas turned back to his XO, "See he doesn't even know he needs it. I'm sure I heard him say the station's shields and weapons were out and that Atlantis needed a complete weapon and shield overhaul. Not to mention they had lost most of their computer software when their computer crashed. What good's a station without shields and weapons? Why we're sitting ducks, it will be another three weeks before the Titan is ready to leave berth. With our help Atlantis could be ready in a week."

Carex threw his hands up in the air saying "Ok, ok you got me. Just let me send the transmission and I'll start getting the spares and sending the station personnel to open the foundries and production plants up. I'll get someone on helping load any software the base can use and get several techs to update the station's manufacturing software."

Jon just stood there gaping at them. Once he recovered he asked Gilas "Aren't you going to get in trouble for this?"

"Maybe a little, but once I explain that we have an Invaru Super Carrier floating around, and that us helping you, helped us; they shouldn't say much." Gilas grinned

Over the next week, with the help of the Titan's crew, Atlantis was almost ready to leave berth. Jon was sitting in this chair on the bridge listening to the final checks. Gilas was standing on his left just as happy as the day he was born. Atlantis stood off to his right double checking diagnostic readings. Titan's crew filled in the missing spots on the Atlantis for her test run.

Brad was in engineering going over the readings on the main reactor watching for fluctuations, but everything was running normally. He called Jon and gave the go-ahead to leave the berth.

"Platform Control this is the Atlantis, we're prepared for departure." Jon said

"Atlantis, this is Platform control releasing docking clamps now. You're cleared for departure on heading 260 Mark 001. Have a safe flight Atlantis." A male's voice replied.

"Roger that heading 260 Mark 001, thanks see you when we get home." Jon replied. "Con heading 260 Mark 001 ahead one quarter."

A soft thump sounded throughout the ship as the docking clamps retracted along with the catwalks.

"Roger that sir, ahead one quarter, heading 260 Mark 001," Carla reported.

Running lights snapped on illuminating her hull in the darkness of space, slowly Atlantis came to life as she moved forward. Once she cleared the station her sensors came to life and started sweeping the area.

"All systems green," Carla reported.

"All ahead full, course 176 Mark 045," Jon said as he stood up out of his chair and walked to the railing separating the upper and lower tiers. "Bring the main viewer on-line."

Gilas and Atlantis joined him at the railing as the main viewer came to life, displaying what was ahead of them. He watched as they passed the eighth planet of the system as they picked up speed.

"Ghost Station this is the Atlantis, we're in the green and starting our shake down cruise," Jon said.

"Roger that Atlantis, good luck, we'll be monitoring," Bill's said

After a ten hour shake down checking that all systems were functioning, Atlantis folded back to Ghost Station. They were headed to docking pylon three when the station called them.

"Ghost Station to Atlantis," A female's voice said.

Jon stood up out of his chair, "Go ahead Ghost Station."

Gilas looked up from where he was sitting at a console helping monitor Atlantis's performance. Atlantis appeared next to Jon, and motioned to the viewer changing the image to display the two Invaru Battle Cruisers heading in their direction.

Atlantis turned to Jon, "I've jammed their communications, but I can't stop them from jumping out."

"Atlantis we have two Invaru Battle Cruisers in system, they're approaching your position." Bill's said.

"We got them, thanks Ghost Station," Jon said. "Con plot an intercept course."

Gilas stood up, walking towards Jon, "You can't be serious they will eat us alive without fighter support."

Jon turned to Gilas, "Fighter support is at least an hour away, if we don't engage and destroy them what do you think will happen next?"

"But..."

"Enough, leave the bridge if you need too, or help with weapons control, but stop scaring the crew."

Atlantis turned and headed for the cruisers, picking up speed as she did so.

"Condition red, all hands to battle stations, this is not a drill," Jon said.

Atlantis repeated it through the ship as the lights dimmed and turned red. A brief glow surrounded Atlantis as her shields came online, the forward batteries started tracking the cruisers. Torpedo tubes were loaded and point defense batteries came on-line, looking for targets.

"Put us right in between them," Jon said, watching the ships on the viewer. "All batteries prepare to fire on my mark."

Gilas paled.

The two Invaru cruisers opened fire as soon as Atlantis reached firing range. Her shields shrugged off the blasts, quickly regenerating. She was too far out and too much of the energy dissipated before it reached her. Of the ten torpedoes they launched two found their target through the point defense weapons. Atlantis's kinetic shield absorbed most of the explosions and started recharging. When Atlantis finally reached them she cut loose with everything she had knocking down the shields of one and almost completely draining the other's shields. In the process of trying to hit Atlantis they ended up hitting each other. Before the cruisers could lock back on to her, Atlantis folded behind the tenth planet.

"What's their situation?" Jon asked.

"Alpha is heavily damaged and Beta is starting to move away. I think Beta is heading for a jump point." Tactical reported.

Jon nodded "That's what I would do. Con plot a fold to put us right in her tail pipe. Weapons free after we come out of fold."

Gilas was shaking his head watching Jon give orders like he had done this a hundred times. He was awed by Jon's tactical brilliance. Again he was caught off guard, why had he never thought to use fold to attack. It was so obvious it was scary, what a great tactic. He would start training his crew for this, well actually Jon was doing that already. Gilas smiled.

Atlantis once again folded and appeared behind Beta, as soon as she reappeared she hit it with everything she had. Beta's hull collapsed in on itself and her reactor went critical as Atlantis turned and headed for Alpha. The shock wave rocked Atlantis a bit as she stopped above Alpha.

"Sir! I'm reading a massive build up in their reactor." Tactical reported.

Jon was just about to give the order to demand their surrender. Instead he ordered her away from Alpha, best possible speed. The resulting explosion rocked Atlantis and pushed her a bit sideways. Atlantis came out of the battle unscathed.

Jon's only words were, "I think we're ready."

Three days later Gilas and Carex were in his ready room talking about the events of the past few days.

"This man is brilliant. I have seen him do maneuvers and stunts with Atlantis that I have never dreamed of." Gilas said.

Carex nodded "I have reviewed the flight recordings and all I can say is wow. You were right to trust them and also help them."

"I had little choice; we would have all died if it hadn't been for him and his crew." Gilas turned and looked out through the window in his ready room.

"Oh before I forget, our engineers and their engineers got together and upgraded the repair drones. I have ordered 150 for the Titan, Engineering Chief Anspach and Chief Yev are working out where they want to install them." Carex fiddled with his drink

"Good," Gilas replied "I think it was a mistake for the Empire to stop using them. We carry five outdated drones on board but they are not really any use."

"Chief Anspach is installing the software needed for our computer to run them."

"What about the Councilor?" Gilas asked as he turned and leaned back against the window.

"He still demands to be released. We have rounded up another five of his supporters, I think we have most of them now. We should hear back from the Senate in the next day or two."

Gilas nodded "Sad it takes this long now to get a response. It used to be minutes."

"That was before most of the relay satellites were destroyed."

"The Invaru definitely know how to wage war. Every time we start to rebuild the communications network, they sweep in and destroy it. It keeps us from coordinating our fleets at a long distance."

"I never understood that, why not just have courier ships and have them fold messages?"

"First the ships would have to be at least the size of a stripped down freighter with a crew of at least 45. Then there was the possibility that something could happen to the ship and the message never received. Also folding still takes time especially on multi-system folds. You have to fold then move to the new fold point then... well you know."

"Never though about that, it just always seemed to me like it would be faster."

"Oh it would, it would cut the time in roughly half. You have the ship, Captain Hunter asked me to come with him to interview their prisoner."

"The Buranis that was on their ship?"

Gilas nodded as he walked for the door, "Yes, I'll be back in a couple hours."

Mike, Brad and Yev were sitting around a table looking at the holographic display of the Titan. Several areas along her hull were highlighted in red.

"Here is where we plan on putting the drone bays." Brad said as he pointed to the areas displayed.

"Looks good, I can work with that, the main junctions to the computer network are close enough. But you will have to reroute the power conduits." Mike replied as he looked at the holograph

"Well Brad and I were thinking about that. He told me what you all have done to the Atlantis's power systems and I think that's a great idea." Yev spoke up.

"You mean the secondary main reactor?" Mike asked

Yev nodded, "I reviewed the battle logs from three days ago and saw how fast the shields and weapons recharged. Not to mention the extra power you had available for the engines, and I think it's a great idea. The Titan is outfitted with only one secondary reactor, which is enough power to run life support and a few other small systems. We have another replacement main reactor on board and we could install it here." Yev said pointing to an area that turned green.

"Why only one fail safe on a ship that size?" Mike asked

"The powers that be thought it was a waste of resources that could be used to repair or build other ships. So ships were only outfitted with the bare minimum needed to run her."

"That sounds stupid to me." Mike replied shaking his head.

Yev looked up at Mike, "You have to understand our resources have been limited. We have been fighting a loosing war for the past century. With the addition of your help and your station we now have a hope, even if it's just a glimmer. That small battle has my shipmates in a buzz, they have never seen the Invaru defeated in such a manner. The Titan could have taken them both out but would have taken damage. The Atlantis did it without a scratch. She's even more of a legend now."

Mike turned his attention back to the hologram. "Well it should be easy enough to patch another reactor in and have it running the shields, weapons, and the repair drones. But I think once we get the production plants running we should program them to spit out some secondary reactors for the Titan. They should be placed here, here, here, here, and here."

Several spots turned yellow as Mike touched the hologram. Brad leaned in and looked to where his brother had pointed.

"Why there?" Brad asked

"If I studied the Titan correctly that would put a secondary reactor by each main junction."

Yev nodded, "Looks about right. You surprise me with your knowledge of our ship."

Brad and Mike smiled at each other happy about the complement.

Mike spoke first, "We have had a lot of help from you and your people. Speaking of people..." Mike looked over at Brad

"Why do you not have any females on board?" Brad finished

Yev started laughing.

Brad and Mike exchanged looks.

Once Yev calmed down he explained, "Our women are, well very beautiful to the point of distraction. At one time they were part of the crew but the distraction outweighed the good. Although there are some all female ships."

Brad and Mike both said at the same time, "Think they need an engineer?"

All three burst out laughing.

After four hours of interrogation Jon finally pulled Gilas aside. Oojoung watched them as they talked in hushed whispers.

"What do you think?" Jon asked Gilas

Gilas glanced back towards Oojoung, "The Buranis and the Eutharan people had once been allies. They got forced into the current situation as slaves to the Invaru. Not all of them are evil and the few I know back home are actually very loyal to their friends."

"Well I gathered that much, but what about him? I don't really want to keep him locked up forever. I mean he did help my crew, granted it was after he tried to harm them. But I can't overlook the fact that he saved our lives by putting back the main reactor board he stole."

Gilas nodded, "If it was up to me I would allow him limited access to the station and watch him to see what he does."

Jon nodded and motioned Gilas to follow him.

Oojoung worried a bit as they approached him and he glanced over to the two Eutharan marines standing by the doors.

"Oojoung, while I think what you did for my crew in a time of crisis was a great deed. I can not overlook the fact that you sabotaged Atlantis."

Oojoung started to moan and slump in his chair, "Me made a mistake no helping you to begin with." Was all he whispered.

Jon and Gilas heard him and exchanged looks. Gilas nodded to Jon and Jon smiled.

"That being said, I can't allow you full access to the station. You are not allowed access to any restricted or classified areas and have a curfew that begins at the start of third watch and ends at middle of first watch. You are expected to be in your room at this time and there will be two guards posted on your door."

Oojoung perked up and stared at Jon, he decided right then he would repay this man somehow and in someway. This man had spared his life and given him an opportunity to redeem himself.

"Do you understand?" Jon asked

Oojoung nodded and smiled, "Yes, yes Oojoung understand."

"Good, now go with those guards and they will show you to your room."

Oojoung practically jumped from his seat ran over and all but crushed Jon in a bear hug. The two guards started to move to pull him off when Jon waved them back.

Oojoung kept whispering the same thing all the way out of the room. 'Thank you'

A week later all the senior staff from the Atlantis, Titan and Ghost Station were seated around a large table in one of the conference rooms on the station. Atlantis stood slightly behind Jon on his left and another female on his right.

"First introductions. Ghost this is..." Jon introduced them all. Several people stared. They hadn't known Mike had got her fixed.

Mike just sat back and smiled like a pig in shit.

Ghost's skin was as white as the driven snow, her eyes were crystal blue and her hair matched her skin. Ghost could control how transparent she was from being solid looking to being apparition like.

Once the introductions were done and everyone congratulated Mike on a job well done. Jon started the meeting back up.

"I have asked the senior staff of the Titan here because this involves them. The plan is simple..." Jon said as he pointed to the hologram of Earth in the center of the table.
