Steve's house is not that big by any standards, it's a duplex, his neighbor is crazy lady, as far as he is concerned. As a police officer Steve has responded to many different calls, one of which was at his neighbors house. She reported that someone entered her home and raped her, but apparently upon finishing up with her he just turned into smoke and disappeared. So perhaps she wasn't crazy but she was defiantly looking for attention, although the rape kit showed that she had in fact had some one in there, but with her odd story we couldn't do anything to help her, although it was highly unlikely that we would have any ability to anyhow, one of those nasty little secrets the Police Department doesn't want you to know.

       Moving up to his door, he pulled out his keys to open it, but he heard a scream from next door. He walked over and knocked, the door swung open at his touch, this was odd because Sara always had her door closed and looked. Stepping in he started to look around, and noticed a lamp on the floor, smashed up. Steve pulled out his hand gun and went forward clearing the first floor bathroom and after that the kitchen, the living room was next seeing nothing there and the basement door closed he returned back to the front door where the staircase upstairs. Slowly moving up the stairs he glanced into the bathroom across the hall. Seeing no one within Steve looked to his right into the smaller of the two bedrooms that were upstairs. Both of the closet doors were open, allowing him to look into the room and see no one inside in a moment

       Moving to his left into the master bedroom, for a moment he froze seeing what was going on. Sara was begging the man on top of her to stop and was openly crying.

       "Freeze you son of a bitch!" Steve shouted at him.

       "FUCK YOU!" The man responded

       Well that was more then Steve could handle, so he then fired off two shots aimed for the man's chest. What happened next amazed Steve to no end, as both bullets stopped about 1 foot from the man.

       "What the fuck?" Steve stated in amazement.

       Steve fired off the remainder of his clip towards the man, hoping that at least one of the bullets would lodge them selves into the man, but all of them stopped, The only effect that seemed to happen was that the rapist wasn't moving as the bullets were slowing to a stop. This was beyond sureaureal and Steve was about to resort to punching and kicking but he was thrown against the wall and was trapped by some unknown force.

       20 minuets later Steve fell to the ground, the man had disappeared after completely using Sara. At this point Steve knew, that he had to do something about people like this. 5 minuets after that Steve was free of what ever force was set up to hold him, he got up and grabbed Sara's bathrobe and handed it to her.

       "I'll find that bastard, I promise." Steve said as she took her bathroom and covered her self with it.

       "I'm not sure if that is even possible, but I hope to God that you do." Sara responded.

       One year and twenty Million Dollars later, 'The Department' was set up and running under the leadership of Steve Duran. The Mission Statement: find mages, access them, recruit them if possible, eliminate or capture any Rogues.
