I used to be a very good computer programmer and I've got an excellent eye for detail and consistency, as some authors have already found out.
Subject to limitations on my time, I'm happy to proof-read anything for publication on alt.sex.stories.moderated or ASSTR, provided readers can access the stories free without having to register.
There are no restrictions on the subject material, but if it's something exotic don't expect me to be familiar with technical details.
I'll try to tailor my feedback to accommodate any peculiarities or idiosyncracies you have with respect to formatting, spelling, punctuation and grammar. I'm English English but I have reasonable experience of American English too, and if there's any vernacular I'm not sure about I'll ask for clarification.
My preferred format is ASCII text or Word 2003. Sorry, I don't intend to install Open Office again and I can't open .docx documents because I have the Microsoft Windows XP Security Patch which is incompatible with Microsoft's .docx converters. And hell will freeze over before I touch .pdf files.
