2nd February 2013 OK, so things ain't as regular around here as they should be. Strangely, people keep looking at Ruth depite its languishing unfinished for so long which I think might be a good reason to get on and finish it. Hence, have anoter couple of short bits, starting here. They might not be much, but I had to throw away about 10 000 words of failed drafts and dead ends to get even this far. Sigh.
2nd August 2012 Well, that was a long break. However, now this is sort of back, I've added another short bit of Ruth (more is being actively edited) another Swarm cycle thing Mantrap and a little bit of current event related hokkum called Gameplan.
The latter probably needs a great deal more work, but I wanted to get it up while the events in question were still grinding on...

Hi and welcome to a small but slowly growing collection of stories.
These are principally concerned with the way that people get together rather than the mechanics of what they do once they have. All concern consenting adults. They are also, of course, fiction: My name isn't Dave, I'm not an academic (though I came close) and I'm not remotely rich, though some aspects of these stories (particularly the geography) do have a vague basis in reality.
Basically, these are not "stroke" stories, and contain no violence or underage activity. Plenty of that elsewhere on ASSM if its what you're looking for. Also they are exclusively written in British english, though I promise to try to explain any bits that might confuse visiting colonials.
