Chapter 2 The next day at school, Akane is given some idea of what the future holds. A plan is forged to keep anyone else from discovering her current weakness. Chapter 3 Akane learns not to avoid her tormentors. Chapter 4 Akane has an appointment with Doctor Yamada to get an excuse slip which will allow her to skip gym classes indefinitely. Chapter 5 Nabiki returns with a surprise announcement. Akane starts learning to do as she's told. Chapter 6 The boys in the gang make some scheduling rearrangements. There's some role-playing, and Akane says something by mistake. Chapter 7 Akane gets cleaned out, and then studies Greek. Chapter 8 Hiroshi makes a discovery. The rest of the boys want to study Greek with Akane as well, and decide that she'd enjoy a sandwich. Akane has a difficult walk home and then talks to herself. Chapter 9 Ranma meets an old rival and an old friend. Akane explores her need to be punished for the way she's been acting. Chapter 10 Michio gives Akane a homework assignment. Ranma encounters two more people he knew from before. Chapter 11 Akane does her homework, and faces the librarian's displeasure. She also has to convince Hiroshi of his belief in her needs. Ranma is tutored by Happosai, and runs into Ukyo again. Chapter 12 Happosai teaches Ranma a lesson about obedience. Akane pays her second visit to Doctor Yamada and does some work for him. Ranma does some training at college. Happosai gives Ranma a reward for all his hard work, and completes their deal. Chapter 13 Akane has a surprise encounter in the dojo. Hikaru punishes Akane for what happened at the doctor's office. Akane fiddles around that night, and is nearly caught by Kasumi. Chapter 14 Ryoga and Ukyo each reflect on matters. Hiroshi and Akane have a meeting backstage, and nearly get caught. Akane gives Ranma more details on what's been happening while he was gone. Ranma decides to spy. Akane and Ranma try again, unsuccessfully, and Akane has an interesting dream in consequence. Chapter 15 Akane flashes the librarian, and gets into a knotty situation. There's a power failure at school, and Hiroshi deals with Akane's mistake from before. Ranma pays a visit to Michio's house, and meets the gang. Chapter 16 Akane comes over to Michio's to join Ranma and explain herself to the gang. Two additions to the gang are nominated. Akane and Ranma wash up, before announcing his return to the family. Later, the two of them study together. Chapter 17 Akane has another meeting with the librarian at lunch, and goes over to Hiroshi's house after school to study with him and Daisuke. At the same time, Ranma visits with some of the boys at Hikaru's house, and has a long talk with Hikaru. Akane and Hikaru have some fun while Ranma waits out on the engawa. Chapter 18 Akane hangs around in a garage at school at lunchtime. After school she talks with Hikaru and then has a meeting with Hiroshi, in which the obscuring effect of ice plays a factor. Akane and Ranma make use of an old friend's place, since the owner is currently not home. Chapter 19 Akane tells all to her pet P-chan. Akane and Ranma have a vigorous workout with the gang. Chapter 20 Ranma and Akane pay a visit to Hikaru for some tutoring. Chapter 21 Michio has a talk with Hiroshi and Daisuke. Ryoga shows up at the Tendo home in person, at long last. Chapter 22 Hiroshi and Daisuke train to go undercover. Ryoga lays down the law. Chapter 23 Ryoga reveals his plan for staying close to Ranma and Akane. The latter two continue to train with Hiroshi and Daisuke. Chapter 24 Ryoga makes demands of Ranma. Christmas morning brings an exchange of gifts. Akane and Ranma spend some quality time together. Chapter 25 A trip to the lake. Several people practice doing the splits. Ukyo comes home, and Soun and Genma are acting like their usual selves at home. Chapter 26 Some people from China come hunting Ranma's hair, while Ukyo goes hunting for Akane. Chapter 27 Ukyo begins to take her revenge on Akane, with an unforeseen conclusion. Chapter 28 The nature of the dragon's whisker is revealed, and Ryoga visits a dungeon.
