***WARNING: this story is not yet finished, and ends very abruptly***

It was that lazy time late in a party when everyone was sprawled out
across comfy chairs and bullshit was flying thick and fast. Most
people had left; just the small group of regulars was left in the
house.

Jennifer was curled up next to Bob on the couch. They had known each
other for a while, but didn't usually talk much. Tonight, they had
been spending quite a bit of time together. Everyone had noticed,
though no one had mentioned it yet.

Amy and Sue were sitting on the floor playing cards with Jeff and
Mike. Tim was sitting in an easy chair across the room with a beer in
his hand, and Meg and Jason were standing nearby.
