Arata is a ordinary, perhaps troublesome sixteen year old. He has been away for many years at a private school, where he has become a delinquent. Now kicked out for vandalizing school property, he returns to find that he has caused his sister much trouble in his absence. Indeed, it is because of a certain childhood promise they made that she was bullied relentlessly at her old school, and now she is having trouble fitting in at her new one. At the start of this story, Arata has already stepped in and apparently solved the problems. But in the aftermath, what will happen between him and Aoi, the very beautiful friend of his sister who's bright smile keeps popping into his mind? What will happen between him and Kazue, who together with her older brother were instrumental in him saving his sister. And lastly, what about him and Kaname, his sister, who seems to be taking his childhood promises much too seriously for Arata's liking.
