I'm a writer, a novelist, a man hiding behind a mask of words, cloaked in the shadows of subterfuge. I write because I like to, because my mind allows me to, and because only in the written word can I find the creative ideals that are absent from the real word.
I am MadGenuis, and what I do here is something I allow very rarely, and never without mask: I give you a glimpse into my mind and let you see thoughts that are secret to all others, that exist not in the real world, but only in the words that flow from my fingers.

Please, feel free to comment on anything I write and submit here. I really truly enjoy positive feedback, no matter how many times it is repeated, and if you have criticism, please phrase it constructively, as I know myself well enough to be aware that I do not handle destructive criticism well. Those were the days, when I still had my stories The Search for Hope and The Story of Us available there, when such a thing was allowed and was such a simple thing to accomplish. Then the rules changed, and my stories – along with any other content featuring underage characters in inappropriate contexts – were ultimately removed from the site, along with much of the highest quality content on the site.

I fully intended to move my stories here, to ASSTR, and even told the fans of my stories as much, but somehow I could never wrap my head around how the ASSTR system worked. I delayed getting it done because I did not think that I had the energy to familiarize myself with the new system – which, upon revisiting now, proved to be writing in html – and in the meantime, catastrophe struck.

During a reformatting of my computer, I forgot to save the hidden folder containing such things as my HF stories, and only realized this some time later, much to my chagrin; there existed no backup of those stories, unlike most of my other work, in order to minimize the chances of discovery.

Those stories are now lost.

But fear not, for now that I have returned, new stories will take their place, and I can almost guarantee that my new work here will feature new incarnations of those two stories, even if they won’t be exactly the same. I only hope that my new work, whatever it may be, will suffice to give the fans of my old stories and my writing style what they want.

Thanks to alphatier noticing this page and reading about my problem, chapters 4, 6, 7 and 8 of The Search for Hope have been recovered! Sadly the other half of the chapters appears to be lost, but at least some of the old story will be making a return in its original form rather than re-written by the current me. Enjoy!
