PENA'S STORY: Part 9: My Induction
A few days after experiencing my first Appeasing of the Soul ritual, Alicia told me it was time to get my genital hair permanently removed. I was getting fed up with waxing anyway and meekly followed Alica down to the medical unit in the basement. I had made several visits to the unit to make sure I was healing properly after my circumcision and remembered the route along the maze of passageways. A slim young Filipina wearing a labcoat greeted me. She introduced herself as Elsa. I immediately felt at home in Elsa's presence. She explained the procedure and showed me the electrolysis unit. Alicia left the room and Elsa asked me to remove my lower garments and lie face-up on the table. I was wearing a wraparound skirt with nothing underneath (I had stopped wearing panties after I became a member and reveled in the lack of restriction). I made myself comfortable on the table and Elsa began her work. There was no pain, just a slight tingle as each hair was zapped. Soon my mound and labia were baby-smooth and Elsa placed my feet in the stirrups and began to remove all traces of hair up to my anus. She smoothed some cream over the entire region and it was all done. I sat on the edge of the table and chatted to Elsa for a few minutes. She gave me a warm hug and left the room. I stood in front of the mirror and admired the view as I ran a finger over the newly depilated area. The hairs would not grow back and I was glad they had gone forever. I wrapped my skirt around my waist and found my way back to Alicia's office with a happy heart. Alicia welcomed me into the office with a hug. She informed me that my formal Induction to the Society would be held early the next morning. I was delighted and the rest of the day seemed to take an eternity to pass.
I had been given an address in Ayala Heights in Quezon City. I arrived on time and was greeted by Alicia who took me down a narrow stairway to the basement of the huge house. We entered a cloakroom and I was asked to remove all my clothing and don a white robe. Alicia removed her own clothing and put on a black robe. We walked along the corridor and entered a set of double doors. I found myself in an octagonal room with white walls and gold trimmings. There was a gold and green carpet on the floor and my bare feet sank into its soft pile as I made my way to the center of the room. I was asked to kneel on the cushion, face downwards and remain motionless until I was told I could move. I could sense Alicia's presence behind me and did my best to relax. The lights slowly dimmed and I found myself in total darkness. I could hear movement and after a few minutes the lights slowly brightened. I became aware that someone had moved in front of me and did my best to keep perfectly still. I felt Alicia's hands on my shoulder and was given leave to move. I opened my eyes and slowly raised my head. My heart nearly leapt out from my chest as I beheld my mother dressed in a black robe kneeling before me! Our eyes met and a sense of peace flowed over my body as I accepted the fact that my own mother was an Elder of the Society! Mother stood and bowed her head and I returned the gesture. I heard Alicia's whispered voice in my ear, telling me to rise. I looked around me. In each of the eight corners of the room was a woman in a black robe. Mother was in front of me and Alica was behind. All of the remaining six Elders were familiar to me in the Outside World yet I had no idea that they were even members. I heard a clock in a nearby church strike the hour. I counted: 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6.. 7... 8...
The woman to my right began chanting in a deep contralto voice. The chant was taken up my each of the Elders in an anticlockwise direction. Suddenly I knew the words of the chant, yet had never heard them in my life before! I heard myself chanting along with the Elders then suddenly I realized that mine was the only voice. I stood in silence with my head lowered as the chant ended. A voice inside my head bade me open my sash and my robe fell to the ground with a swish. I heard a voice saying "María Peñafrancia Rivera, we invite you this day to formally join us as a member of our Society." I replied "I, María Peñafrancia Rivera, accept membership of the Society from the very depths of my heart!" The voice inside my head bade me slowly approach the person in front of me, my own mother, and kneel before her. I did so and my mother loosened her sash and stood naked before me. I kissed each of her feet three times and moved anticlockwise to the next Elder, where the process was repeated for all eight Elders. I stood and noticed that the other elders had formed a tight ring around me. I could feel the warmth of their naked bodies as they circled me. The room lights began to dim and I was once again left in total darkness. The whispering voice in my mind told me I was standing at the edge of a high cliff. I could smell the ocean and feel the wind blowing in my hair. The voice began again: I was to turn 180 degrees, totally relax and allow myself to fall backwards. I did not hesitate to obey and waited for my death as my body hit the rocks below. I landed against something warm and soft. It was Mother! she had caught me as I fell backwards. I came back to the world and realized I had just passed a test! I was now a full member of the Society!
The other Elders donned their robes and left the chamber, leaving only myself, Alicia and Mother standing in the center of the room. By then, I had fully accepted my mother's role in the Society and gave her a long hug. I began to feel a bit cold and realized I was still naked. I replaced my robe for the short walk back to the cloakroom and we changed back into outside clothing and left the building. The three of us went to Alicia's home for lunch and I later accompanied Mother back home where I promptly buried my face in her breast and allowed the tears to flow.
