   I think this plot device has so much potential, I can't resist tinkering
with it.  My version 'Save the Animals' begins very similarly to Sarah's,
then diverges greatly.

   There's a b-movie (and book) called Demon Seed, involving a research
program AI that gets the hots for a woman, and has the capabilities to do
something about it.  It was pretty intense.  Although there's a way to go
yet in my story, it's already probably fairly obvious it's going to go in a
similar direction.
