Viking Captive: notes
Okay, sure — technically it should have been tagged as Science Fiction, too, but that would have been a spoiler. I had a lot of fun carefully re-writing the beginning so that it didn’t give things away, and you wouldn’t want to deny me my fun, would you?
Parts of the story are historically accurate: the Vikings were extraordinary seafarers by any standards and certainly traded as far south as the Mediterranean. On the other hand, I have had no hesitation in inventing things: for all I know the Saxons were as good and eager kissers as you and I today.
I hope you enjoyed the story. I may write other parts as time and health permit, but for now, this is all there is.
