Author’s Note
These stories are pure fantasy. I have never experienced life in an African
or any other prison, thank the Lord. However, I have spent many years in
sub-Saharan Africa and I have a deep interest in the people, their
beliefs, customs and history, and I love the great African landscapes
and the African climate. Above all, I am interested in the languages of
Africa, three of which I am fairly familiar with.
As I said, these stories are pure fantasy, but I will confess that, during
my time in Africa, I have enjoyed frequent visits from certain
strong-minded and strong-armed “Captain Ndembes” or “Sergeant Mbenges”!
Enough said!
