As you walk into the officer's lunch room you notice Officer Foley sitting with in a group. You walk over to join them. Foley is with officer Starsky, Smithers and Pace. They acknowledge you coldly, and Foley seems to be the only one who is happy to see you. The other officers don't talk much and Foley does his best to keep you in the conversation.
Foley asks you questions about your hopes and dreams, hobbies and interests which keeps the conversation going for a while longer.
You decide to try to get the others involves so you ask Starsky about how much he likes it here.
He replies, "it is alright, as long as you know your place. But I guess that is true everywhere. I actually started out as a pimp. It was good money and all I had to do was keep people in their place. I made some bad business decisions so I started work here." Starsky then tells some tales about times he humiliated his workers to keep them in line.The siren blares out. Foley smiles at you and says he will see you later, but the others leave without another word. It is possible that Smithers isn't alone in his suspicions.
