Notes on Obsequious |
Obsequious set out as a project to woo my intended...It worked she is now my wife and this is dedicated to her. The reason I write this is because the style chops and changes deliberately from the third person to the first person and back again. This is quite deliberate as Jeric is a fragmented being, a soul in torment; caught on a karmic ride that he struggles to comprehend. The later chapters change sometimes into songs and poetry as I try to covey his feelings, I'm not even sure that you can call them chapters in that sense. The "literary" style i have used borrows heavily from William Burroughs and Michael Moorcock two authors that have inspired my writings especially Mr Moorcock's. |
