Review:

Short, sweet, and filled with lots of sound effects, this story is much like I would have expected given the synopsis and codes.

I think I've said it before, but it bears repeating: Writing isn't just good fun, it's good therapy! I read this while yearning for a good rap soundtrack. Eminem screaming, "Bleed, Bitch...Bleeeeeed!" would have added a multimedia dimension the written word sorely lacks in this golden age of techno-masochism.

But I digress. The story itself is well written in the beginning, but like all artists feeling the passion, Nasteeboy gets a little sloppy towards the end with his grammar. I'm half-tempted to believe that's intentional, however, as it mirrors remarkably well the loss of control exhibited by many real life rapists engaging in their preferred crime of passion. If they never made mistakes, they'd never get caught, right?

I also have to point out one glaring inconsistency that really threw me out of the story near the end. I don't want to give anything away, but it has to do with the shotgun. It's just a very bad oversight and something the author really needs to fix.

That said, overall we have a short story about anger management and the catastrophic effects resulting from the lack thereof. It's brief, simple, and a rather condensed revenge fantasy that I'd really recommend after 7 cups of coffee, 4 jelly donuts, a stale cigarette, and a poor performance evaluation from your dick...I mean, your boss.

Sorry.

If you don't meet that criteria as a reader, you're taking your chances like the rest of us.
