<> THE FEY CHILDREN - Part One <>
Writen by Peg Leg Dukk
For Reya and Petra, life had never been easy . . . even though they
had lived for only fourty human years.
The twins were outcasts from the elves that frequented the deep
forests of Bor'myr because of their uniqueness: one, by being twins -
because most elves gave birth to one child only - and two, because of
their parentage. When their mother had been only a strippling (only
one-hundred and twenty at the time), she had been captured by a band of
roving marauders: human and Dragonian mercenaries that had been
harrasing Human settlements for several weeks. Because Elf clans led
solitary lives, thier mother did not know what to do when the mercenary
force found her. That night, after a round of "bone-toss" and some
drinking contests, a rough-hew Human named Jarrash Long won the fair,
slim-limbed Elf girl and the right to do with her as he pleased. Later,
in he bedroll, he raped the girl, and forced her to comply several times
before dawn came. She later escaped when another group of humans, these
belonging to the Rovers - Sherrifs from the nearby kingdom of Bariania -
caught the mercenaries in open country between the Kapran and Solemn
Mountains.
However, it was during that night of forced passion with Jarrash
that the twins mother Gania learned that there was more to this Human
that being just a simple mercenary. He was secretly a Rover, and was
doing everything he could to let his fellow Rovers know where these
cutthroats were, to capture them and have them brought to justice. Lying
there in his large, hairy arms after their last coupling (which Gaina
had begun to enjoy, rather than be frightened or disgusted), smelling
his altogether "Human" smell and her own arousal scents, he revealed one
of his personal secrets: "After this task is done, I will travel to the
Hinderlands, beyond the Kapran . . . I have family there, and I plan to
build a farm to feed us, and keep myself at home."
During the attack, Gaina fled towards her home in the forest, but
not before she had accidentaly grabbed something from her Human lover -
a gold and Carimbite pendant, which Jarrash had claimed was shaped into
the crest of his family's name - and had spun into the woods, seeking
her own people. They found her sometime later, trembling in a hollow
tree, still clutching the pendant between her pale fingers.
It was sometime after this, not more that two Human years, that
Gaina was found to be with child. Her parents, fearing disgrace at the
hands of their own people, arranged Gaina to be married to a young Elf
named Sarecen. He, in turn, claimed the child to be his. But, it was a
furious Sarecen that nearly beat Gaina senseless when the strangly
formed twins were born: both looking elfin, yet strangely not so elfin
in many ways. To avoid further embarassment, Gaina was given a choice by
clan: Stay and be killed for birthing a pair of freakish abominations,
or flee and never return.
It was a tearfull parting for Gaina, whose family were very
powerful members of the clan's Circle - or ruling collective - and she
had a few good friends that didn't want to see her go, but her life and
those of her children were at risk if she stayed. She was given time to
pack several belongings and supplies, and left that part of Bor'myr
never to return, with only her twin children and a ever faithful Elf
named Taggi, who was her personal servant since she was a wee elf child.
Together, Gaina and Taggi took the twins far away, nearly to the
foothills of the Solemn Mountains. There, under a towering span of rock,
they built a new home for her to raise the twins, and over the years to
come, they were cared for and taught well by Gaina and Taggi.
Raya was by now a tall Elf youth, tall as most Human boys when they
reach their eighteenth season, with a deaper chest broad shoulders, long
muscled arms and legs, hands that ended in five fingers rather than the
customary Elvish four, and five toes to each foot. His sister Petra was
similarly built, if but shorter by half a hand, with a thinner waist,
and breasts that were larger that an avrage Elf maiden had at her age.
Both had Elven features, but their Human-half blood made them less
pronounced: ears that were rounder that pointed, eyes large like an Elf
but with less sharpness and tapering, and faces that were less angular
and rounded. Raya had piercing gold eyes, think nut-brown brows, and
hair a striking bronze color. Petra had luminous eyes of ocean-blue, and
her hair was a titan mix of reds, golds, and lighter browns. They both
also had darker skin, almost like a rich tan which further marked them
as halfbloods.
They had live comfortably with their mother and Taggi, livng on
what food they could hunt and grow. Both twins felt content with their
life under the mountain's spur, but they recently had noticed their
mother had been growing sadder in recent times. One night, both twins
had been sleeping lightly in theri single bed (customary for elf
children in large families to sleep together, boys and girls), when they
both heard Taggi and their mother talking in low tones. It surprised
them both that they were talking about THEM: Raya and Petra!
"It's getting too close, Mistress," Taggi had said, fear coloring
his voice. "Even if we were to go back now, we would still be in danger,
and the children wouldn't stand a chance alone against the Clan!"
"I know, my old friend, but something must be done! My dear
children are just approaching the beginings of their young lives as
Elflings, and they must be allowed to seek out others of our kind." Her
voice was edged with great sadness, and both twins looked at each other
in concern.
"But, they'll never be accepted, Mistress! You saw how violently
Lord Sarecen reacted to their births?!? Any other Elf would kill Raya
and Petra than consider them a possible mate!"
At this, the twins stiffened. -Mates? Did he say Mates?-
Gaina sighed, "You are right, my old friend. I just can't stand the
fact that my childen will never find someone to love them, and begin a
family with . . . as I almost did once. They are two lost children,
alone in this world. Once I am gone, they will only have each other."
Raya looked over the edge of the loft, where he and his sister
slept, looking down into the main room of the house, watching with great
worry as his mother and their "uncle" Taggi continued to talk.
"Why is mother talking like that?" Petra queried him, taking a
glance down below for herself.
"I don't know . . . She can't be sick, can she?" he returned.
Together they continued to listen to the two adult Elves beneath them.
Taggi spoke up then, "It is a shame they are brother and sister.
Together, as half-elves, they might have been perfect for each others
mate."
At this, both twins turned to look at each other incrediously.
-What was Uncle Taggi saying? Mates for each other???-
Gaina spoke in reply, "Together, maybe so, but they would never
concider it! No, we must find another way to solve their problem of
finding a suitible mate for them."
As the talk droned on, both twins returned to their bed, each one
mulling over what Taggi had just said. Tonight, insteade of finding
comfort in each others arms, holding onto each other like they had done
since they were babies, they slept apart on opposite sides of their
collective bed, each turning their minds over and over on what they had
never comprehended before: mating with their own sibling, as a matter
for survival?
The next day, Raya had left the house early, waking before anyone
else was up, and gathering his hunting tools before leaving to go gather
some food for their morning meal. Clad in only his leather jerkin, short
trousers, and nothing else, he dissapeared into the woods behind the
house.
For hours he tracked small game and birds, hoping to loose himself
in the sport of the hunt. But, he found his mind wandering back to the
conversation he listened to last night. A few times in the past, he and
his sister ahad asked Taggi and Gaina about their people, and why there
wasn't more Elves around. They explained the unusual circumstances
surrounding Him and his sister's birth, and at times were never truly
clear on why they all couldn't return to the Clan. Now, as this
information about him and his sister being ready to seek out mates for
themselves, but unable to because of the threats made by their full
-blooded cousins, the entire view of his and his sisters life began to
take on a new focus.
Raya had grown with his sister for as long as he could remember,
and together they had become good friends, as their sibling relationship
had gone through all of it's many phases: competing, hating, fearing,
ultimately loving as a brother and sister ought. Now, thinking back on
recent days and months, Raya slowly began to look at his sister in a new
light.

"The Discovery"
Writen by Peg Leg Dukk
As far as Elf women were concerned, Reya has only know his mother
and his sister. Gaina was a beatuful example of fair Elfish womanhood,
but there was something more to his sister that he was now only begining
to notice. They both shared the same half-Human/half-Elfin blood, and
maybe that was what made his now reasses his sister's looks and beauty.
She and him both shared similar builds, albiet much thicker than
that of a pure-blooded Elf youth. Her eyes were always flashing in their
alien blue - something no Elf had even had before - and her pixie
expressions were a delight for him to see: weither she was happy, sad,
angry, or content. Her was smaller, and a little upturned, as it sat
over her small mouth, which was tipped with full lips that pouted no
matter what her mood. Her body was firm and lithsome, rippling with
muscles that she gained from having to live hard in the woods aroudn
their home, much in the same way as his were. And, though he could
scarcely believe his own mind, he lingered over her bossom, only
slightly larger than her mothers, that filled out hte top of her usual
leather-and-cloth dresses.
As the morning wore on, Reya stopped by a brook that ran into a
space between the rocks at the foot of the Solemn Mountains. He quenched
his thirst from water from it's trickling current, and stored his
captured game from predators in a high rope-and-sack affair. Once done,
he then sat down next to a large rock and stretched out, letting the sun
warm his limbs and body. Within a few minutes he was caught in a drowsy
nap.
Several moments into his sleepy-haze, Reya let his mind wander over
thoughts of his sister. Surely she and mother would be up by now.
Perhaps they were by the larger stream that ran down by the house,
washing and cleaning their clothes. He began to picture his sister now,
dressed in her usual deep brown dress, kneeing beside he mother as they
bent to their tasks. As he formed this image, he began to concentrate on
Petra's body, on the way her breasts would rise and fall with each deep
breath, the way the sun glinted off of her titan colored hair, and the
beads of moisture that formed on her skin during hard work.
As he turned this image about in his mind, that feeling he'd been
having as of late began forming in his mind, a kind of buzzing warmth
that seem to grow downward towards his belly, to settle into his groin.
Murmuring to himself, he let the feeling grow again, this time letting
it sing from his mind, as his thoughts continued to spin around his
lovely sister.
Suddenly, the image of his sister began to change suddenly. Petra
stopped in her exhertions, sitting bolt upright onto her heels as she
cast around, a look of bewilderment growing on her face. Reya frowned.
What was wrong? Slowly he opened his eyes, but it his shock, the image
of his sister remained: fixed over his eyes like a blinder on a pack
beast. Petra slowly rose to her feet, and after doing what looked like
her telling mother that she was going for a short walk, she walked into
the woods behind the house, holding a hand to her head.
Worried about his sister, Reya still felt the warmth building in
his body, dispite his now growing concern. Watching the image of Petra,
he began to think back on his observations earlier.
"~She is a pretty girl . . . even if she is my sister.~", he told
himself, letting his "eyes" roam over her lith body in wonderment.
"~. . .ya? Is. . .ou?~"
With a jerk, Reya cast about for the source of that voice. It
hadn't come from outside his ears! With a growing sense of fear, he
quickly realized it had come from his own mind!
"~Hello? Who is there?~" he queried.
"~. . .eya, are you . . ding from me? Answer . .~"
With a new sense of wonder, Reya recognized the voice, just as the
image of his sister began speaking, just as the voice appeared. He was
hearing his sister in his mind! He remembered his mother and Taggi
telling them about Ancient Elfin Telapaths, and how they could talk to
others using thier minds.
He decided to test his discovery. Speaking gently in his head, he
called out to Petra, "~Petra! It's me. I'm talking in your mind, just
like the stories of the Telapaths!~"
In his mind, the image of Petra seem to freeze, as her face became
one of pure shock, then bewilderment, then wonder. Her eyes were
slightly frosted, as if she was trying to focus on something
infintestimaly small.
Now her voice was clearer in his head. "~Reya! I can see you!
Sitting by the big rock near the little stream! How. . . how is this
possible?!?~"
"~We must somehow have the power,~" he reasoned, watching as Petra
sank to the ground in the shade of a large tree. "~I can see everything
you do. . . and hear your every word!~" Excitement filled his being, as
this news sank into his sibling's mind.
"~Incredible! But, how?~" she asked.
"~It must be our half-blood. Maybe there is something there that
gives us the power!~" Reya reasoned. Together, for several moments, the
two *talked* inside ther minds, relishing the pure contact of mind to
mind speech. After a while, they came together physically, drawn to one
another like bees to flowers. Sitting beside one another, they continued
to *talk*, until they collapsed against the big rock, simply holding
onto one another's mind with lingering tendrils of thought.
"~I missed holding you last night.~" Reya stated simply, after a
long stretch of silence had passed. Slightly surprised, he found his
hand had wandered across the rock face to where Petra's hand was
resting, taking her fingers into his gently as he projected some of the
warmth that had been filling his body ever since the *power* had come.
Petra gazed over her older brother. "~I missed your arms around me,
too.~" she admitted, coloring slightly as the warm feeling her brother
was transmitting began to filter into her being. "~It was so lonely.
Now, I think I know a little about what Mother was talking about last
night, when she said it would be lonely without someone to love. . .
they way she was mentioning.~" Before she realized what she had said, he
grip tightened on Reya's hand, suddenly feeling a strange sensation
coming over her.
At this, Reya raised up on one arm to look at his lovely sister,
turning his golden eyes towards her brilliant blue ones. "Do you mean
that, Petra?" he said, speaking out loud instead of *talking*.
Petra felt her skin grow warm under his open stare. Being this
close now was becoming strange and different to her now. Remembering
what her mother had mentioned about -Mates- last night, and what Uncle
Taggi had said about her and her brother being perfect for each other,
if only because of their half-Human Blood, kept singing in her ears.
Staring at Reya's face, she studied his strong mixed features, a subtle
and open blending of the two races. How handsome he looked. Strong,
gentle, yet fierce all at once, with his shining eyes seeming to hold
her own against their will.
Petra suddenly felt a rush of emotions, and the same *talking*
sensation filled her mind, as she felt Reya's voice inside saying "~She
is lovely, and beautiful to me. How she looks at me with those eyes. . .
eyes that could drown me like water in thier depths. . .~" These words
were filled with such strong feelings of love and wonder, openness and
fear, that Petra knew that her brother was contemplating mating with
her.
She decided to *speak* to him about it. "~Am I really so pretty in
your eyes, Reya? Are you feeling as wonderful towards me as I feel
towards you now?~"
Reya pulled back a bit, the sudden openness of her words surprising
him. He had been contemplating the idea of mating with his sister, but
he was worried underneath. - What if it is wrong? What if she rejects
me? How can we live together if we find we don't want to mate with each
other? - in short, he was confused as to what he should do now.
Sensing his hidden fear, because she felt it to, Petra suddenly
became strongly attached to her older brother. He was genuinely
concerned about her well-being, and that of the household should things
go wrong. It was at that brief moment, with the sun overhead, the two of
them lying on the rock face, and their hands clasped together tightly,
she suddenly had a new name for the feelings of warmth that was flooding
her being: she was feeling strong attraction to her sibling, and was
trancending the love she had aways felt for him, all her short Elfin
life.
Petra gently projected her deepest, strongest feeling into Reya's
mind, "~Reya, I love you very much, my brother. DO you not think we
could become good mates for each other? Would you not like to mate with
me?~" she asked.
Reya seemed to struggle with his emotions for a bit, then he smiled
back into her mind, "Yes, my beautiful sister, I do."
