I posted a story archive about 3 or 4 weeks ago and was blasted
with about 400 email requests. I'm very sorry if I dropped a few but it
was very hard to keep up. Therefore I have now written a program to help
me proccess these requests. All I ask is that you use this format:
(in the body of your letter)
email:: (your full e-mail address) archive:: (the number of the stories you want ending with a '*')
example
email:: walz@buster.cps.msu.edu archive:: 1 2 3 10 13 14 56 50 *
It is very important that you follow this format. Your email address must be your full email address(i.e. walz@buster.cps.msu.edu NOT walz@buster). Also double check for typos. I will not be able to process un-deliverable mail. NOTE: the numbers after the 'archive::' can be on multiple lines.
Also DON'T assume that just because you can send me mail that I can also send you mail. I got some mail that I just could not deliver even after triple checking the address etc.
In-order not to overload the mailer I will only mail a file every 3 min. Therefore please send two or three small requests instead of one big one. I also tried to break the stories up into a mailable size (under 50K).
