A Brand New Feeling
Chapter 2
By: Suma L.

Semi New News- Okay, for a little background, I started writing this story
for a friend of mine based on his life. I actually am a part in this story,
but that's a secret I'll give out to whoever I get feedback from that
asks. ? The names have been changed, but the actually story basically
remains. I finally decided to type it up since I have free time, seeing as
I've been sick with the flu or... something like that. Anyhoo, I'd really
like some feedback on this first chapter so I know whether or not to
continue on with this new story. Please let me know what you think, whether
it is good or bad.

This story switches point of views. This is indicated by the *****'s.

Thanks for even clicking here! Hope you enjoy what I have so far!

****DISCLAIMER****
This story isn't supposed to imply anything about the members of Nsync
or anyone else involved in the story. This is all made up. In better
English, IT'S NOT REAL! If you're too young in your area or it's illegal,
then leave. If homosexual themes offend you then you may want to leave as
well.

Chapter 2 --

	"Joey!"

"What?" Joseph Fatone turned around to eye his husband
nervously. "Yes?"

"Joseph Anthony! PUT DOWN THAT COOKIE!"

	"WHAT!? I was hungry!"

"Your watching your figure, remember? No more dancing, so
therefore, your going to start gaining some weight when you eat." Lance
Bass-Fatone watched as Joey's face fell from it's happy smile. "Sweetie, I
have to watch mine too. Here, eat this." He shoved a rice cake in Joey's
face.

"Babe, as much as I love you, you've GOT to be kidding me. That
looks, and probably tastes like shit."

"It does not." Lance took a bite. "It's good. Taste, taste, taste!"

"I'll pass!" He put the rice cake on the counter, and wrapped his
arms around his husbands waist, pulling him in for a kiss. "What's Britney
serving at the party?"

"I don't know! Stop thinking about your stomach!" He paused for a
moment. "Britney said that Justin's getting a lot better. That he hasn't
had any alcohol since the crash, and that he is picking up new hobbies and
things. He might even consider making a solo album!"

"Oh, that's good. Will there be alcohol at the party?"

"Joe, I highly doubt there will be any. Too much temptation for
Justin. He's still getting over his drinking problem."

	"He wasn't THAT addicted, James."

"Good. And we're not going to let him get that way."

"Fine. I'm going to go lay down until your ready."

	"Joey, YOUR not ready."

"What do you mean?" He motioned to his clothing, and hair, the
color of which was back to it's normal brown.

"You're not going anywhere dressed like that! Go change!"

	"WHAT!?"

	"GO CHANGE, JOSEPH!"

"Okay, JAMES!" He turned around and went upstairs.

"Joey, just put on what you wore to the last party we went to. I
like that outfit!" Lance called up the stairs.

"IT'S TOO BORING!" Joey shouted back.

"Boring or not! It makes you look sexy, and you know what that does
to me!" Lance crossed his fingers, hoping that his words would work the
way he wanted them to.

Joey thought for a moment. Wild clothes = Fun. Tame clothes =
Sex. Easy decision. Tame clothes wins. "OKAY!" He called back as he slid on
the black pants.

******

Britney hurriedly set up the food bowls around the house, as Dan
poured out the drinks. "No alcohol, hon!" She reminded him.

"I know, Brit. You won't let me forget. Why don't you go put
Danielle in her room so she'll leave everybody alone?"

"Okay, let me go get her surprise." She ran upstairs, and grabbed
the new Barbie, and Barbie beach accessory set from under her and Dan's
bed. "Danielle?" She called, as she walked happily into the 'Barbie Cave.'

	"Yeah?"

	"I got something for you!"

	"OOO! GIMME GIMME!"

"You can only have it as long as you stay in here all night. If you
need anything, go to the top of the stairs and get my or your fathers
attention. No one else's, okay?"

"Alright! Can I have it now?"

"Of course." Britney handed her the set. Danielle's eyes widened
and she squealed.

"OOO! I WANTED THIS! THANK YOU BRITNEY!" She ran up and hugged her
stepmother till Britney couldn't breathe.

"Okay, hon, let go." She smiled, and ruffled the girls hair. "I'll
be up at about 9:30 to tuck you in, alright?"

	"OKAY!"

Britney walked back down the hall and came across Justin's
room. She paused to peek in. He was trying to button his shirt, but his
hands were shaking, he was so nervous. Suddenly, his head snapped in her
direction. "Oh, hi, Brit. I'm just... just nervous, that's all."

"I know, Just. Let me help you." She walked in and stood in front
of him. Moving his hands out of her way, she began to do his buttons for
him. "You look very handsome today. Everyone's going to be so happy to see
you! I invited everyone I could think of that you know! We've got lots of
food and drinks." Justin gave her a strange look. "Non-alcoholic, of
course." He smiled and then let her continue. "You're going to have a good
time. Don't be nervous, okay?" He nodded, and she leaned up and kissed his
cheek. "I'll see you in a bit! I've got to go finish getting ready, then
start letting people in. You can come downstairs when you're ready. Dan
will help you."

"Oh, joy. Crutching downstairs in front of everybody. A constant
reminder of my mistakes." Justin rolled his eyes away from Britney to hide
some of his pain, but she caught it.

"Don't be like that, Justin. Soon, your leg will heal, and you'll
be back to old tricks again."

"There's no one to party with anymore, Brit. They've all grown up,
and gone away."

"Well, then maybe you could do that too."

	"I only wish."

"You'll find somebody too, Justin. I promise." She hugged him
quickly, and then rushed to the door. "I've got to go get ready!" The
doorbell rang, and her ears perked up. "SEE YOU IN A BIT!" And she ran out
the door.

Justin sighed, and began to slowly comb his hair. He looked in the
mirror at himself, but the sight only made him want to cry. His eyes were
dull; they'd lost their beauty that they once held. His mouth would no
longer smile. His skin was paler than normal. He had been eating better
since he got to Britney's, but he had trouble keeping the food down when he
was really upset some nights.

He listened as the doorbell rang about 40 more times in a 10-minute
period. "I should go." He whispered to himself, and hopped over to his
crutches, sliding them under his arms. He made his way to the top of the
stairs. Dan spotted him, and ran up to help him down. They both made it
down without Justin falling.

"Ready to see them all, Justin?"

	"Ready as I'll ever be."

"Don't worry, okay? Britney's made sure everything's nice and happy
in there. You'll have a good time."

"I know. Let's get this show on the road."

Justin crutched into the main room. It was FULL of people, and he
immediately heard a few gasps. After the long pause of everybody looking at
him, some turned away and began to talk to each other.

"Justin! Over here!" Chris Kirkpatrick called to him. He turned to
see the dark haired man jumping up and down waving his arms vigorously. He
laughed, and went over to him.

	"Hey, Chris. Missed ya, man."

"I missed you too, Justin!" Chris hugged him tightly, and then
turned to his left. "And you know my wife, Danielle."

"Long time, no see, Just." The blonde hugged him, and then went
back to her conversation with Britney.

"Where's Lance and Joey?" Justin asked, and let his eyes search the
room for the two.

"RIGHT HERE!" Joey called from behind Justin, making him jump. He
flipped around to see the two of them smiling happily, holding hands. Lance
sharply elbowed Joey, and he mumbled a sorry.

"Justin, it's so good to see you! We've all missed you so much!"
Lance hugged his friend, and then released him so Joey could do the same.

"I've missed you guys too. How's life?"

"Tough." Joey motioned to his clothes. "I don't even get to dress
myself anymore."

"Joe, I honestly think that's a good thing!" Justin laughed and
patted his friend on the shoulder.

"EVERYBODY sides with Lance. Always LANCE. LANCE is right. JOEY'S
wrong."

"And that's a good system, babe." Lance intertwined his fingers
with Joey's again.

"Have you two seen JC? I was kind of hoping to talk to him..."

"I don't think he's here yet." Joey took a sip of his diet coke,
and then jumped away from Lance to go to talk to Dan.

"Justin... You guys are okay, right?"

"Yeah. After the accident, we talked. We're okay. I just wanted to
see him. It's been awhile, you know. I kind of miss him. Has he and, uh,
you know, gotten engaged yet?"

"Drew? Yeah. He asked him the night of the, uh, accident. I guess
he never told you."

"No, he didn't. But I understand. Do they have a date set yet?"

"Um, I just talked to Drew last night and he was complaining
because he wanted February 14th, and JC wanted to do it in April."

	"Why April?"

"JC likes the word April, and thinks it would look pretty on the
invitations." They both shared a laugh at JC's expense, and then Justin
'serioused' up.

"How are things with you and Joey?"

"Good. I have to keep getting after Joey about his eating
habits. He's going to be huge if he keeps up the eating style we had back
during touring days." He laughed nervously.

"That's not exactly what I meant..."

"I know." Lance sighed. He still didn't want to address that they
were still having a few problems in their relationship. A few weeks back,
during one fight, Joey had hit Lance. It was very traumatic for everyone,
and they were both in counseling so that Joey could learn to control his
anger. "We're doing... better. You know Joey still feels bad for what
happened, and he's still apologizing for it. I just want to get that whole
chapter in my life over with and move on."

"It will, Lance. Soon, things will be perfect as they used to
be... for everyone."

"Yeah. Some parts of the couple's therapy are pretty fun. I got to
beat the crap out of him with an inflatable baseball bat. And then we got
this kind of take home therapy assignment thing where you let the other
person do something that they've never been allowed to do, this being
within reason, I mind you, so I got to dye Joey's hair back to it's
original color!"

Justin laughed a bit, imagining the scenario. "What did he do to
you?"

Lance blushed. "I let Joey fulfill a sexual fantasy."

	"That being?"

"Don't make me say it out loud."

	"Come on, Lance, tell me!"

"Okay, but you can't tell anyone... Justin, do you know what S&M
is?"

	"Uh, Sadist and Masochist, riiiight?"

"Yeah. Do you know what it is in sex?"

"Whips, tight leather, sexual torture, bondage, oh god, you
didn't!?"

Lance nodded and his face turned almost crimson. "Joey had a great
time..." He made a face of disgust.

"I take it you didn't like the experience?" Justin stifled a laugh.

"Justin, I was handcuffed to the bed in some strange leather
underwear. I was uncomfortable and bored."

"Shut up, Lance! I just got an image!"

"Good! Well, I'm going to go check on Joe to make sure he's not off
causing mischief. JC will be here soon, when he gets here, I'll grab Drew
and take him off talking so you can talk to JC alone, alright?"

	"Yeah. Thanks."

"Talk to you in a bit, Jus." Lance ran off to where Joey was
digging into the food table while talking to a bunch of Britney's friends.

Justin looked around to find someone else to talk to, but they all
seemed busy, and he was tired already anyway. He crutched his way over to
the couch, and sat down with a Dr. Pepper, sipping away while everyone
talked around him. Suddenly, there was the doorbell again. Britney ran
over to open it. It was JC and Drew.

"Britney, it's good to see you! And you know Drew, my fiancé!"
He said with a laugh as he hugged her.

"Hi, Drew. Drew, you HAVE to see my kitchen! I just redecorated!"
She grabbed him by the arm, and Lance took his other arm and they both
dragged him into the kitchen.

"Justin!" JC called, and bounced over to him. "Justin, you look so
much better! It's so good to see you, I've missed you!" He reached forward
to hug Justin only to feel the younger man stiffen under his touch.

	"Why didn't you call, JC?"

	"Huh?"

"After the crash, you never called. Sure, I saw you in the
hospital, but you never called. It hurt me. I thought you didn't care."

"I DO care, Justin! I didn't call, because I thought you might want
some time to be alone and anonymous. Time to heal. Do you understand what
I'm saying?"

"Yeah, I guess so. But please start calling me again!" Justin
hugged JC feeling much better.

"Okay, I promise! So, how have you been?"

"Good. Brit's been a great hostess. Dan's been fun too. I've had a
lot of time to think and relax. I'm starting to get bored!"

"I can see how. Well, if you want, I could bring you into the
studio with me sometime, and maybe we could lay down some tracks or
something?"

	"Maybe."

"Okay, just let me know when you want to come in."

"Alright. So, how are you and Drew?"

"Fantastic! God, I love him. His stupid brother calls about
everyday though. I love Nick and all, but this is ridiculous."

"Hey, brothers are close! Can't deny their bond!"

"I know. I can't wait to marry him! I've already started picking
out things for it. The colors, the music. I can't wait anymore! I want to
get married today!"

	"Whoa, boy. Does Drew?"

"Drew already has everything picked out that he's supposed to
have. We picked a date on the way here. I'm letting him have February
14th."

	"Awww. And not April?"

"Lance told you? Oh, god dammit. Okay, it's a pretty word,
alright?"

	"Yeah... riiiight."

"Well, right now, I think I'm gonna go get a drink. I'll be right
back, okay?"

"Alright." Justin sighed and watched his friend walk
away. Everybody was so in love. Everybody here seemed to have
someone. Except for him. Where was his?

******

I could feel Damien's hands around my waist. The last part of the
photo shoot was completed, and now it was time for our special night.

"Hey, babe." He whispered in my ear. The feeling and sound tickled
and turned me on at the same time. "Slight problem..."

"Oh? What is it?" He couldn't cancel dinner on me! It technically
would be my first date with another guy.

"Well, see, I promised this friend of mine a week or so back that I
would go to this party she's planning. It's to celebrate the, I guess you
could say, resurrection of one of our friends. Basically, he's stopped
moping around, and she wants to party. What do you say we go for an hour,
and then we can go back to my place and have a little fun?" I felt his hand
slide down my waist and run by my crotch, immediately getting my attention.

"Sounds great." I managed to squeak out, and then I followed him to
his new BMW. "So who's the friend?" I asked as soon as we were a ways away
from New York.

"Um, no one you know directly. She lives about half an hour, I
think, out of New York. We'll be there soon, I promise. You'll have a good
time! You should know some of these people."

"Ooo! Tell me who! Please?" I reached over to run my fingers along
his arm seductively. He just laughed off my attempt and told me to sit back
and relax. Within an hour, the BMW was approaching a huge mansion like
house. It was beautiful, but I didn't really have too much time to take in
it's detail before I was swept into the house by a crowd of people along
with Damien.

"Okay, now, act calm while I introduce you to the host, okay?" He
linked his arm with mine, and kissed my cheek.

"Right..." I whispered back. We approached the door and there stood
Britney Spears. I couldn't remember her new last name, I only knew her as
the beautiful pop diva I was once obsessed with. God, I loved Dan right at
that moment for bringing me here.

"Hi, Brit! This is Jaron, I'm sure you've seen him on TV; he's my
date for tonight. Hope you don't mind. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll just
pop on in, and go visit the man of the hour!" He grabbed my arm and dragged
me in with him before I even had a chance to say hello to her.

The house was filled with celebrities mixed with average people. I
spotted Joey Fatone and Lance Bass-Fatone locked in a kiss and my jaw
dropped. I had completely forgotten about whatever happened to them. I
could barely remember them marrying a while before the group broke up. I
never thought I'd see the day when I would catch them making out, let alone
in Britney's house.

I immediately began searching for the rest of 'N Sync. I found
Chris Kirkpatrick, and his wife Danielle; I caught a look at most of the
group 98 degrees. I am still surprised that they are still together to this
day. I then found JC Chasez and Drew Lachey, arms locked, and deep in
conversation with the man that I figured to be Britney's husband, Dan I
think it was.

Damien continued to drag me through the crowd until we stopped
right in front of someone I never thought I'd see in a million years. Even
though he now bared the face of a grown man, stubble on his chin, eyes
looking older and sadder, having lost some spark. His hair was still as
curly as ever, just more tame.

"Justin! It's been a long time! It's so good to see you! Oh, I
forgot you for a second, Jare! Justin, I'd like you to meet my date for
tonight, Jaron Edwards. Jaron, this is Justin Timberlake."

Justin gave me the most beautiful smile I had ever seen in my
entire life, and reached for my hand to shake it. I trembled under his
touch, but tried to keep the greeting firm. "H...H...Hello, Justin." I
stuttered out, and began to blush.

"Hi, Jaron." He replied back, his voice almost like a whisper...

******

Okay, That's chapter two! I'm giving this story my all, you guys! I'd
really like some feedback. Please! This is the first story I've actually
cared about. Is that pathetic? Oh, I've started a website for my 'N Sync
fanfic. This chapter won't be posted until probably tomorrow on it, but
here's the website. Now, remember, I just started it, so there's a lot to
be worked on. (By the way, the picture pages are great - unfinished - but
great! Complete with three Lance Bass collages!!) Anyhoo, the web addy is
www.geocities.com/Ghettosuperstar22 (Okay, sorry about the website name, it
was my original Yahoo nickname, so I never got to choose it's name. : (
Well, I hope to receive atleast SOME email on this, because nobody wrote me
on the 1st chapter, and I'm getting the impression that no one on Nifty
likes me.... :( Is it true? *sob* Please, write me, tell me what you think.

Oh yeah, a few more thoughts. (I can hear this commercial playing in the
other room as we speak) Have you guys seen the new 'N Sync super bowl
commercial on MTV? The one at the urinals? I LOVE IT! I've seen it so many
times! I want to go, so,,,, if anyone's got tickets and wants to take me,
I'm free! Oh, and I saw the Mathew Shepard thing. I cried. It was so sad
and horrible what they did to him! So, I decided to play 'Lil Vicious
Activist' and make Fight For Your Right Against Discrimination and Hate
Crimes handouts. I passed them out all day. I felt very empowered. And me
being just some strange straight Kansas girl, I got some odd looks in my
parade against hate crimes and discrimination. I can't stand 'Hate.' It
drives me up the wall. Well, I just thought I'd let you all know what I did
to take part in the whole gay awareness and anti-hate crimes thing. Now my
question for you is, what did you do?
