Subject: destiny's decision chapter 3

Disclaimer, you know the deal, no reading unless you are over the age limit
of 21 or whateva it is that your country says it is! blah blah blah! This
story does not imply that anyone ('Nsync) mentioned here is gay blah blah,
or that I know any of them personally blah blah....... I wish I did know
them though, it wouldn't be all that bad.

Woh, I actually got this far, I can't believe it. At first I thought I
wasn't going to get much response, but all in all, its all been good.
Really the only thing that means anything right now is, wow. And btw I
can't be bothered with that clue thingo in this chapter. I got one
response. AND IT WAS RIGHT! I can't think of anything special as a prize so
there isn't one. I just wanted to add a little *something* in, something a
little mysterious.

**Destiny's Decision**

|Previously on *Destiny's Decision*|

Justin had noticed Jason's head resting on his shoulder, but didn't look
down at him until the movie finished. When he did, he found a peaceful and
lovely face sound asleep. He decided not to wake him, so he pulled the
blanket over themselves, hesitantly he put his arm around Jason's sleeping
form, and lightly kissed Jason's forehead. He lay his head back and
thoughts screamed through it. 'Is he the one? Could he be....' His thought
never finished as he too drifted into the world of dreams.

Chapter 3

*In the middle of the night, 3am*

Justin eyes snapped open, his body was still, a layer of sweat covered his
face. The last image of his nightmare replayed over and over in his mind.
During the night he had ended up lying horizontally on the couch, his arms
around Jason. He looked down at Jason, who was inches from his face and his
mind forgot about the nightmare, only the words 'You're special, and I
don't ever want to lose you', remained in his mind and a tear, a tear of
longing rolled down his face. Finally the urge to sleep overwhelmed him
and he drifted back into a peaceful slumber.

*9:30am MONDAY*

Justin woke up, this time in peace. Jason had not stirred since the
previous 'awakening'. Justin decided to get up, and to do that, he had to
wake Jason up. He lightly shook Jason, and the only response he got was of
Jason turning his to face the otherway. Once more he shook him, this time
harder and for a bit longer. Jason, still lost to the fact that his
'pillow' was Justin, buried his face into Justin's chest, which sent Justin
into the giggles.

Jason opened his sleepy eyes, and looked up. His 'pillow' had stopped
laughing, and both were staring into each other's eyes, it seemed many
words were exchanged within those seconds without ever being said, but the
two looked away, full of confusion.

"Um well, now that you're FINALLY awake, can I kinda get up?" Justin
hesitated in being the first to speak.

"Oh, sorry," Jason was blushing furiously while he got up, "sorry bout
falling asleep on you last night."

"That's OK, you better call your sister before she really calls the
police."

"OH SHIT! I forgot to tell her!" He ran and stumbled everywhere, until he
found the phone. Justin was laughing all the way up the stairs and towards
his room.

"Sorry sis......yeah I know, I forgot to call......NO WE WERE NOT," he
looked around to see if Justin was around "I fell asleep on his shoulder,
and he became my pillow for the night.........NO WE AREN'T......." Justin
had gotten changed into something more 'comfortable' and had made his way
down into the kitchen where Jason was but didn't say anything as he heard
the remainder of the conversation, "yeah, he's all that, and he's really
nice, easy to talk to... fine sis, fine, I admit, he's cute......will you
shutup about that, I don't know if he's gay......I doubt he is, I hafta go
now, I'll be back soon...yes I haven't lost the address, just hangup will
you.....bye.

He turned around and saw Justin staring at him.

"Oh hi Justin, d" before he finished his sentence Justin turned and ran up
to his room.

"Shit," Jason said to himself, "he must've heard us." He ran after Justin,
hoping to catch him, but he was too slow and met face first with the door.

'SLAM'

Jason fell backwards onto his back, the world spinning lazzily around
him. He saw something moving but then everything blurred into blackness as
he passed out from the impact.

Justin had bolted up to his room, several tears ran down his face, after he
heard Jason talking with his sister. All the time his head repeated 'Isn't
this what you wanted? I thought he was special to you? Why do this?'. He
reached his room, and slammed the door shut. Before he could even take a
step away, he heard a load thud against it, and then a thud onto the floor
outside.

He turned around, opened the door and saw Jason lying on the floor holding
his head. But before Justin could do anything Jason fell unconscious.

"Oh shit, I've done it this time." Justin knelt down, picked up Jason and
carried him into his room and put him onto his bed. After 15 minutes Jason
began stirring.

"Uhhhh.......what happened?" Jason couldn't quite remember what was going
on.

"I think you knocked yourself out when you ran into my door." Justin was
relieved.

"Oh yeah......" Jason reached up to rub his throbbing head "ouch, now I
have a headache, I wonder if I have brain damamge now?" Jason tried
lightening up the situation. Justin smiled at him, but didn't say anything.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhh, my head is killing me!" Jason moaned out.

"Get some rest, I'll get you some aspirin, you should feel better when you
wake up." Justin got up to get the aspirin.

"Thanx..." Jason was grateful to have met Justin, they had done so much,
yet so little at the same time. Justin came back quickly, a glass of water
in one hand and 2 aspirins in the other. He gave them to Jason, who
devoured it all in one mouthful, and sat down on the chair next to the bed.

"Are you going to just sit there and watch me sleep?" there was so much
Jason wanted to know about Justin.

"Until you fall asleep, otherwise I'll have this feeling all day." Justin
was being stubborn again, and Jason let him do as he wanted.

"Fine, do what you want." Jason snuggled into the bed buried his face into
the pillow. After about half an hour Justin decided that Jason was asleep,
he got up and walked over to his sleeping form. Jason looked so peaceful as
he slept, his calm face and relaxed body made him look like an
angel. Justin so desperately wanted to give Jason a light kiss, but he
didn't know if he was asleep yet and so didn't. Jason had rolled over to
one end of the bed, and so Justin decided to get a bit of rest too, to stop
thinking about what happened this morning. Justin slowly got into the bed,
alongside Jason, and stared up at the ceiling, thinking, of things that he
had kept to himself for a couple of years now.

*11:48am*

Jason opened his eyes, to see Justin's face inches from his own. He had
been asleep for an hour, but didn't know when Justin had gotten into the
bed. Jason reached over and placed his hand on Justin's cheek and ran his
fingers over the smooth skin.

"I don't deserve this, it's all too good to be true, I don't deserve to be
working for such great people...I don't deserve to have Justin as a
friend." Jason whispered to himself.

A tear slipped out of Jason's eye as he turned stared at the ceiling and so
his pesimistic mind went to work again, 'Justin has done so much to welcome
me to the group, and then, then I go and hammer him with me being gay. He
probably hates me now, and the others would too, there's no point in me
staying if I'm not welcomed.' By now, Jason had more tears running down his
face.

"That's not true, you deserve every bit of it." Justin had woken up when
Jason touched his face, but didn't open his eyes. Not until he Jason had
turned away. He had heard Jason whisper to himself, and then saw the tears
slowly fall down his face as he stared up at the ceiling.

"Justin?" Jason was surprised at Justin's sudden 'appearance'. He turned
and was met by a pair of blue eyes, they seemed to stare straight through
him and into his soul.

"Jason, you deserve nothing less, you're a great person. I haven't known
you for long, but destiny brought us together, I'm your friend and there's
no changing that so you shouldn't think any less of yourself." Justin could
just about feel the pain Jason felt.

"Why Justin? why are you being so nice to me?" Jason could barely hold back
his tears.

"If this about you being gay, I don't care, it doesn't shape your whole
life, I don't like people for what they are, its WHO they are that counts."
Justin knew that this hard, for both of them, but at least there was going
to be at least one person that would be there for him when he had to face
it, Jason.

"Thanx, this means alot to me, YOU mean alot to me. You're the only person
apart from my sisters, my mum and Melissa that knows, and understands."
Tears began rolling out of his eyes as Jason continued. "About half a year
ago, I told my best friend that I was gay. We had been friends for a few
years now, and I thought that maybe he would understand. But I was wrong,
he didn't accept me as a friend anymore and told a few of my other friends,
most of them don't bother talking to me anymore. Melissa was the only one
who didn't care. We had never really been close friends, but from that
point on, she became my best friend. She was there when I needed her and I
was there when she needed me. We were like brother and sister and
inseperable, that was until I said I was moving here for a job."

"I'm sorry Jason," Justin pulled him into a tight hug, "I'm sorry for
running out on you before, I"

"Its ok, I never really expect a postive response from anyone anyway."
Jason butted in before Justin finished.

Justin had thought it through, Jason was willing to let him into his life
as a trusted friend, and now he was going to do the same. "Jason, you
would expect that from someone who didn't understand the real you, and for
me to do that was wrong, especially if I'm in the same position as you."
Justin had pulled up all the confidence he could muster to say that.

Jason pulled away slightly, and stared deep into Justin's eyes, then hugged
him back. "If you're trying to say that you're gay, then all I have to say
is I'm glad you can take the courage to take the first step. Its always the
hardest."

"How'd you know you're the first?"

"Lemme see, you gave me kiss on the forehead last night. And I don't think
a guy really gives another guy your age a kiss goodnight." Jason started
laughing while Justin was still in his arms.

"Oh shut up...can you let go before you suffocate me?" Justin started
laughing as well, but was more embarasssed that Jason hadn't been
completely asleep last night.

They let go of each other, and stared into each other's eyes. Justin leaned
forward and placed his lips on Jason's. The embrace seemed to last for
eternity, it was the first kiss for both of them, and it lasted until Jason
ran out of air. They broke the embrace, but they now had a lot more than a
mere friendship, their eyes had said everything to each other, and, after
all the twists and turns fate has put them through, their destiny was to be
in each other's hearts and face the world, together.
