Subject: Dreams of an Angel - 17 (gay/boybands)

Hey all!! Here's the next bit of Dreams of an Angel. Again, it's quite
short (I usually write about 10 - 12 pages per updates) but it'll have to
do for now :) Sorry about that. Any comments and suggestions, well, my
email addy is below so you know where to drop the note... and you're
welcome to do so! Or you can catch me on my yahoo messenger, the yahoo ID
is goldenknightuk. And... oh yeah, thanks for all the positive feedback
guys and gals. You're the best, and I'll try to keep the show as enjoyable
as possible :) To all readers out there waiting for the climax of the story
where the love scenes truly begins :) , be patient!! ;) It will happen, in
about two or three updates, promise!! Those updates have already been
written. It just needs some final touches to make it more perfect and
enjoyable to read. I just found out that writing is really similar to
painting. With enough shades here and there, and creative touches here and
there, the whole picture will just become perfect!! It's really like magic!
I really should be a writer, not a doctor!! I guess I found one of my
hidden major talents too late :)

Anyway, onwards to the boring part! Legal matters! Hehehe. You can
press 'fast-forward' now.

Well, first of all, this story, as you will certainly find out
soon, is TOTALLY fictional. So! If any of you truly believe in it... dude,
I'm worried about you. Secondly! None of the guys in the Backstreet Boys
are gay! (No matter how hard I wished it :P). But nobody say we couldn't
dream it, heh heh. Thirdly, Warren Worthington is actually a character from
Marvel Comics, X-men known as Angel or recently Archangel. Okay fine, I
admit it. I'm bored and I am making a pathetic attempt to make life a lil'
bit interesting. Its not like I'm gonna publish it or something. What else
to talk about hmm? Oh, there may be some adult gay scenes in this
story. Unlike my brother, I don't mind writing naughty stuff ;) so! If
you're underage, naughty, naughty! I can only ask you to go away, but I
cannot do anything else to stop you from reading on anyway. Hell! I've been
sneaking into the internet to watch gay porns since I was 13! So, if your
parents or whoever responsible for you catch you, don't say I didn't warned
you. However, if you're homophobic... well maybe I can seduce you enough to
turn you around heh heh. I do so love a challenge ;)

Anyway, enough talk. Any comments or boos or suggestion or
whatever, just sent it to the same address as in NNTs,
goldenknightuk@yahoo.co.uk . Yeah, we shared the same address. Don't
ask. Long story.

Okay then! On to the show. Now, don't be shy now. If you got any
comments or suggestions, just drop me a note. You do the request, and I'll
do the show.

	Andy

Morning greeted Nick in the form of a chill breeze blowing gently from the
opened window.

'Geez! Whose bright idea is it to leave the window wide open on such a cold
morning? The whole room is freezing!' Nick thought irritably as he shifted
uncomfortably in bed, pulling the cover closely.

But sleep wouldn't come back. He dimly remembered the recent events that
occurred during the night. Wide awake now, he opened his eyes, only to have
his first gaze of the day falling on Warren's back as the other man sat by
the opened window in silence, staring longingly at the sky outside.

Nick smiled at the feeling of longing that flows from Warren's mind into
his - an angel longing to get back to heaven where he belongs. The cold
breeze from the chilly morning blew gently in and the curtain that hangs at
each side of the window swayed in response. Even as Nick watched, Warren
inhaled the fresh air deeply and his wings flapped lazily once and twice
against the gentle caress of the wind.

Unconsciously, Nick's eyes traveled further to the broad muscular
back. Warren must have worked out in the gym a lot. Being an occasional
visitor to the gym, Nick knew he would never be able to shape his body to
be like that!

Another breeze blew through the window again, causing the locks of Warren's
golden hair to waver slightly in response. Unconsciously, Nick tightened
his grip of the bedcover around him. Does Warren not feel the cold at all?
He is only dressed in his sweatpants and yet; there he is, sitting by the
opened window, enjoying the cold wind. That man must be insane.

Yet, despite the cold, Nick remained quiet as his eyes continue to roam
throughout Warren's back. The wings appear to sprout from his shoulder
blade area, white, pure and strong... completely in contrast to the blue
skin beneath it. Nick's lips twitched into a smile as the wings quivered
again against the breeze. How does it feel to have wings? How does it feel
to fly like a bird? He has seen Warren fly in the air yesterday after they
arrived at the Mansion. He remembered clearly the joy in Warren's eyes as
he soared in the sky. Suddenly, Nick felt slightly envious at the other
man's gift but he quickly shook it out from his mind.

Never ceasing his staring, his eyes moved to the skin between those wings
and briefly, he imagined caressing the man's back gently, feeling and
kneading the firm muscle underneath, made strong after years of flapping
those wings against the wind in his flight, combined with years of working
out in the gym. He imagined slipping his arm around that torso and pulled
the man into a tight embrace, never thinking of letting him go. He imagined
kissing those glistening skin, soft against the firm muscle. He imagined
rubbing his cheek against the soft feathers, gently embracing its warmth
while his hands and fingers gently and slowly travel upwards to caress the
abdomen and on to the chest... feeling it, kneading it, caressing it...

'Whoops! Things seems to get hot in here!' Nick thought as he smiled. 'And
looks like li'l Nicky down there decided to wake up from its beauty sleep
too.'

Strange that thinking of... doing it... with another guy now seems less
uncomfortable compared to thinking about it several days ago...

Sighing softly, Nick wonders if he could find it in his heart the strength
to let the man knows of his feelings. But thinking of that immediately
reminds him of Betsy. Warren is as straight as they come. It'd be a waste
of time and effort trying to hope that Warren will feel the same way
towards Nick.

Shifting his mind away from such gloomy thoughts, Nick shifted his gaze
away from the winged-man to stare at the clock beside him. 10.45
a.m. Great! His first day here and he has already created a bad first
impression. The others'd probably think he is some lazy spoiled brat.

Forcing his stiff muscle to move, he groaned slightly as he sat on the bed.

'C'mon, you pathetic, lazy, fat, good for nothing COW, lets shake those
hands and legs.' Nick thought grumpily to himself as he looks blearily at
his legs.

The sound of his groan immediately caught Warren's attention, causing
older man to turn immediately. His eyes brightened and the most beautiful
smile Nick has ever seen flashed into existence instantly on his lips.

"Nick! You're awake at last!" Said Warren cheerfully as he jumped off the
window seat and with one flap of those wings; he basically flew towards the
bed and purposely crash-lands on the bed, causing Nick to curse loudly in
bewilderment.

"What the fuck... you oaf! What's the big idea?!" Nick protested against
Warren's laughter as their bodies tangled together amongst the
bedcover. "Is this the reward I get for helping you last night?"

"Well, good morning to you too." Warren grinned and Nick blushed as he
stared at those glittering blue eyes. "Bobby went off to town and Hank is
downstairs in his lab, so I have no one else to play with."

"By playing, you mean crashing on my bed and startled me to death?" Nick
grumbled grumpily but a smile appeared on his lips. "If you don't mind, I
prefer my first view of the day to be a cheerful one, not an attacking
Angel of Death!"

"Well consider yourself lucky it was not Bobby who gives you the good
morning greeting. You'd probably find yourself covered with ice shards and
snow." Warren replied cheekily. "Or probably you'll wake up to find
yourself surrounded by angry snowmen... or as Bobby called them: The
Blood-Thirsty Snow Goons from the Black Lagoon."

'Gosh!' Nick thought to himself. 'For a man in his late twenties, he sure
can be a ten years old kid when he wants to! And that cheeky grin does not
help matter.'

"God, you guys are worst than Brian and AJ." Nick said grumpily as he got
off the bed.

"Jean came in earlier to check up on you. She asked me to tell you to go
and see the professor in his study as soon as you're ready. So! Ready your
first lesson session?" said Warren.

"Mmm-hmm. I really need to get the hang of this empathy thingy. Don't want
to freak out when singing in front of thousands of screaming girls in the
future. I have an image to preserve, you know." Nick grinned as he walked
to the bathroom.

"I dunno, Nick. I think that Timberlake guy from N'sync has a better..."
Warren laughed again as a bar of soap flew out of the opened bathroom door
and hit him on the chest.

"Don't even go there, Worthington!" Nick voice floated from the
bathroom. "If you don't want that wings of yours attached to a more
uncomfortable part of your body, don't you even go there!"

Later, after a good, long, warm shower and a glorious masturbating session;
Nick stepped out of the bathroom, shivering against the cold breeze from
the window as he clutches the towel tightly around his waist. With his hair
still dripping wet, he cursed softly as he stumbled towards the window and
slammed it shut. Turning around, he saw Warren sitting crossed-leg on the
bed, munching an apple as he stared quietly at Nick - more specifically at
his body. Catching Nick's gaze, he smiled and winked.

"Nice muscles. Work out at the gym regularly? Breakfast?" he said in
between his bite as he gesture at the breakfast tray on the side table.

Blushing slightly at the other man's scrutiny, Nick only smiled as he
picked up his own sweatpants and put it on.

"Nope. Dancing. I go to the gym on occasion though."

"Dancing did all *that*?" Warren laughed again. "What the hell am I doing
slaving around endlessly in the gym then??"

"Don't ask me. You're the superhero here." Said Nick as he sat beside
Warren, picking up a slice of bacon from the tray and put it on an empty
plate. "Mmm. Smell nice. Who prepared it?"

"Thanks. I did. As you can see, I'm a man with many talents." Warren
replied.

"I can see that. You'll have a major problem if you want me to cook
though. Last time I did, I nearly burned down the whole of Brian's
kitchen."

Warren chuckled and shook his head.

"Doesn't work that way here, Nick. We takes turn with our chores
here. Besides, if a spoiled brat like me can improve my cooking skills
here, I'm sure you can too. Tell you what. You'll help me in the kitchen
when it is my turn to cook. Stick with ze Chef Warren, and I will sharpen
your cooking skills enough to make your own mother proud!"

"Fair enough. Don't blame me if I poisoned anyone though." Nick replied.

Warren snorted in response.

"If they can survive Remy's sizzling, ground-melting, tongue-burning,
hell-spawned gumbo, I'm sure they'll survive everything else."

Nick laughed at that and they continue to eat in silence.

"Nick, thanks for... helping me last night," Warren spoke quietly at
last. "And... I'm sorry for... for dumping you in the middle of the whole
thing... I mean..."

Nick gently placed a hand on Warren's knee. The two pair of eyes gazed at
each other immediately and Nick smiled reassuringly.

"It's not a problem, Warren." Nick answered. "You'd be there for me too if
I'm in trouble. Remember yesterday morning? We agreed to face our problems
together right? I don't mind helping you out, Warren, so think nothing of
it. In fact, as soon as I can master my empathy, I'll always be there for
you when the nightmare arise and... we'll face it together."

Warren could only gaze at Nick silently, no knowing what to say. Then he
smiled slowly and placed his own hand over Nick's, grasping it gently but
firmly.

"Thanks, Nick." He whispered.

Nick gave him a reassuring smile before returning to his breakfast.

"So, what are you gonna do for the rest of the day?" Nick asked.

Warren shrugged before answering.

"Scott is scheduling another training session down in the Danger Room at
noon. He's trying out the new program he and Bobby created last week." Said
Warren before taking another bite of the apple.

"Cool. Can I try it out too?" said Nick.

"I don't know about that. Your ability lies more your mental abilities
rather than physical skills. Telepaths and empaths rarely involve
themselves in physical combat. Betsy involved herself mainly because of her
fighting skills while Jean, because of her telekinesis. Can you fight,
Nick?"

"Naah. Just a little. I enrolled for a karate lesson once but I never take
it seriously." Said Nick.

"Well, if you want to join the X-men, we can brush up that skill. Do you
want to?"

Nick fell silent in thought for a while. He never thought of that
before. He got a family and friends out there... and a normal life he had
worked and sweated so hard to built throughout the years. Would he simply
cast it aside just like that? He may be a mutant, but he could still blend
in with other people easily without anyone knowing about his empathic
ability... unlike Warren or Remy.

"No," Nick answered softly as he shook his head. "I've come too far and
worked too hard to get where I am in life right now. I owe it to myself to
hang on to it rather than cast it aside just like that."

To his surprise, Warren smiled at his answer. Nick expected the other man
to try to persuade him to change his mind.

"You've made a wise choice, Nick." He said just as softly. "I was hoping
you say that. You've already got a nice normal life out there with a loving
family and good friends and a great career. Most of us here would trade
everything for a chance to lead a normal life out there, but we
couldn't. You however, have that chance. I would pick that choice myself if
I'm in your shoes."

This time it was Nick turn to smile.

"But I kinda like it here too. Maybe I'll just be a... sort of... an
unofficial member of the team. After all, I'm only an empath. You wouldn't
need me that much in a battle anyway. But if you need me, gimme a call and
I'll come over to save the day with all my wrath and raging hormones!" said
Nick before he laughed.

"Yeah! Super Nick to the rescue!" Warren cheered as he laughed too.

"So!" said Nick as he pushed away the breakfast tray. "I guess I have to
get ready for my first lesson. I never thought I'd spend my vacation like
this. Poor me."

"Well, look at the bright side. You're using a larger proportion of your
brain than any other normal human beings." Warren grinned. "So that makes
you what? A brainiac? Yeah!"

"Fuck off, Bird boy." Nick replied as he threw a pillow to the laughing
man.

***********************************

"Oooh, that is soo romantic!" Jean said happily as Bobby told her what
Warren is planning to do later that day. She closed the box Bobby has
acquired for Warren in town and handed it back to the man. "I was soo
hoping this would happen."

"So you think you can wiggle ole Bird-Brain out of the training session
tonight?" Bobby asked as the two of them walked down the hallway.

"Consider it done. Scott is really easy to persuade if you know which
button to push. A little nudge here and a little firm voice there and maybe
a puppy face here and there and throw in some kisses once a while and he'll
cave in within the hour." Jean replied causing Bobby to laugh out aloud.

"Think I can try it out on him?" Bobby grinned as he asked.

"Do that and I'll rip your balls out and feed it to Wolverine for dinner."
Jean replied mildly in return.

"Oooh. No thank you. My balls are my male pride and joy."

"Ugh!" Jean grimaced as Bobby laughed.

"So you think Nick will love him back?" Bobby asked quietly.

"Are you kidding? The guy is already head over heel in love with
Warren. You were not aware of that?" said Jean incredulously.

"No!" Bobby answered happily. "Don't tell me you snooped around his head,
Jeanie."

"I saw it while I was in his mind back in LA, Bobby. I most certainly
didn't snoop around." Jean answered. "Oh here's Ororo. Back from town so
soon?"

"It was only a quick errant, Jean." Ororo replied. "Have you seen Logan
around? I need to ask him something about the mission we had last
week... Oh, I'm sorry, Betsy. I didn't see you there."

Betsy who was walking out from one of the room and inadvertently bumped
into the other woman, stepped back impatiently, annoyance clearly flashed
on her face.

"It's all right, Ororo. Nothing's broken." She answered curtly.

"Are you going off to London soon?" asked Ororo again.

"Yes. This place is getting too dull for my nerve. I'll be back in a month
or two." She said before stepping around Ororo and marched across the hall.

"Nice to see you too Betsy!" said Bobby but the other woman ignored him
completely.

"That woman gives me the creeps." Bobby murmured softly as Betsy moved out
of earshot.

"I don't trust her." Said Jean softly.

"What do you mean?" asked Ororo.

"Ever since her encounter with Mandarin and the acquirement of her
Ninja-fighting ability, she's been acting very strange. And it has gotten
worst ever since she gained her Shadow-shifting ability." Said Jean
softly. "I have secretly monitored her thoughts despite the fact that she
kept her mental shield up all the time but on every rare occasion when she
let it down briefly, I could only sense... hostility... and it has been
getting stronger ever since..."

"I'm not sure what to make of it. Then came the incidence she had with
Warren." Jean continued. "I... I confess that I can never forgive what she
did to Warren. She... she could have helped him... and yet,
she... abandoned him. It's... cruel..."

Ororo looked at her in silence for a moment before sighing.

"I noticed the changes too, Jean, but... unless there is more proof that
she represents a threat to the team... there is nothing we can do about
it. Betsy has proven her loyalty to the team time and again. Her telepathic
ability, combined with her fighting skills makes her a valuable asset to
the team. We cannot afford to lose her anymore than we can afford to lose
Wolverine or you." Said Ororo.

"Jean, there you are. Everyone ready for the next session? You didn't tell
them about the new program right, Bobby?" Scott's voice interrupted them as
he entered the hall with Logan, Remy and Rogue at his side.

"Nope. See? I can be responsible like everyone else you know." Said Bobby.

"Yes. If only you do dat more often!" Remy smirked from the side.

A scream, intermingled with laughter from the floor above drew everyone's
attention to the staircase. It seems to be moving nearer and nearer. Then,
suddenly, Warren burst out, flying from the landing above, wings flicking
smoothly as he maneuvered himself expertly towards the assembly, laughing
brightly all the way. In his arm, Nick held on to the winged man as if his
very life depended on it.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! LOOK OUT! WALL... PILLAR... STATUE... PEOPLE!!!"
Nick screamed as he hangs on to Warren.

Bobby grinned and he and the others ducked as Warren and the hysterically
screaming Nick soared above them. After last night, it is good to see
Warren smiling and laughing again.

"Holy shit!" Rogue ducked as one of Nick's flailing feet nearly struck her
face.

"WOOO-HOOO!!!!" Warren laughed brightly like a little boy as he flew past
them all and landed a little distance from them. Nick's face was green and
he was hyperventilating.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! We crashed didn't we? How much do we owe the
professor? What did we break??! Was anyone hurt?!! Did we kill anyone??!"
said Nick as he looked around wildly.

Warren was actually doubled up as he laughed.

"Oh my God! Nick! You should have seen you face!" said Warren.

"You could have given me a warning!!" said Nick crossly. "Especially when
you get to the first corner!"

"AHEM!"

Both Nick and Warren looks up at Scott's stern face.

"Somebody in trooouble..." Bobby sang softly beside Jean who is giggling to
herself softly and Logan smirking beside her.

"Oh... umm... hi Scott. I was just... umm... demonstrating to Nick
my... err... superior agility in flight..." Warren grinned. Nope. Scott is
certainly not buying *that* excuse.

Looking at Scott's stern face as he watched the two impatiently, arm
crossed on his chest and tapping his feet, Nick began to realize how
similar Scott is compared to Kevin.
