 - Chapter 1 -

The young vampire was staring out of the large window, watching the sun
fade. This was his favourite part of the day, to see the sun being forced
to give room to the night. Their time...

He felt a presence in the room with him. -I knew I would find you here, my
love, a voice said softly. A pair of strong arms embraced him, a hard body
pressed itself against his back. -Do you miss it sometime, Joey? -The sun,
you mean? Joey answered. -No.

There was a pause between them. His lover rested his chin on Joey's
shoulder. -Do you ever miss it, baby? Joey asked in the end. Whenever he
approached this subject, he always felt the little twinge of fear. -No, the
answer came without hesitation. -My world, my life, my heart is here with
you. -I love you, Josh, Joey told him, folding his arms on top of JC's. -I
love too, darling, JC answered. -Now come, the sun has gone down. It's time
to hunt.

The night was humid and smelled of lillies. Much too sweet a scent for
Justin. He wrinkled up his nose. It reminded him of death, a heavy and
alarming smell. Staying away from the crowd in front of the nightclub, he
waited and was bored. Since he had already fed, the hunger was gone. But
another hunger was building up inside him now.

When he looked to his right, he could see them. JC and Joey. Joey and JC.
Always together. Always so damn captured by each other's presence that they
never saw anybody else. Running his hand through his unruly curls, Justin
caught himself thinking about the day he had met them. They had taken him
in, given him a place to stay, companionship...they had given him a
home. -Oh well, Justin sighed. It wasn't that he wasn't grateful, it was
just that he wanted someone all to himself too. Well, most of the time he
really just wanted to get laid, but having someone around permanently made
that a whole lot easier too.

It seemed as Joey and JC finally were done making out for now, and were
coming back to him. Silently Justin watched them. If he thought he could,
he would try to seduce one of them, both of them. But the bond between them
was too strong, their love too powerful. Still Justin hadn't totally given
up on the idea. He wasn't the only one watching them either. A lot of
hungry eyes followed them as they came closer to Justin.

They suited each other so well. Joey was slightly taller than JC, and more
strongly built. The more slender JC moved with the elegance of a cat. With
deep, brown eyes in a handsome face and a soft, sensous voice, Joey never
needed to use force with most of his victims. They followed him
willingly. His devilish charm and sensuality entrapped whoever he chose. JC
didn't have any problems either. Blue-eyed and darkhaired, he was
strikingly goodlooking. But he preferred hunting with his lover, to share
the kill. It had such an intimacy to it, sharing the thrill with his second
half.

With Justin it was different. He knew his boyish good looks and innocent
blue eyes and his seemingly fragility made him attractive to both men and
women. But he liked the force. It made him feel high, it made it all so
much better. Still he wasn't reckless, he always chose the bullies; the
ones who fed on the fear of others. He loved to watch them squirm.

-Hey, Justin, JC called, -aren't you going to join us? -I don't know,
Justin pouted, -I'm bored. -Poor darling, Joey laughed. After hugging
Justin, he continued: -come with us, let's go have some fun. Still pouting
Justin looked up at him. -I want a toy, he said. -Someone to keep me
company when you two get all over one another again. JC's perfect blue eyes
found his. -You actually want this, Justin? he asked. -I do! Justin
answered. He looked down on the crowd. It was like a magnetic force dragged
his eyes to the man in the middle of all the people. Justin drew a deep
breath. -Him, he said, turning back to JC and Joey, -I want him.

Joey watched the young man Justin had chosen. He couldn't deny Justin the
right to a mate. But this gave him some bad feelings. Partly because of his
guilty conscience, he had been neglecting Justin lately, and partly because
he knew Justin far too well. Justin hadn't been much more than a child
when they found him. Newly turned, angry, scared and lost. So they took him
in and learned him how to live his new life. And Justin caught on
quickly. Sometimes too quickly.

A little worried Joey watched Justin approach his choice. The blonde man
was undoubtedly beautiful, Justin always had good taste. The young man
could be around twenty years old, just a little older than Justin had been
when he was turned. He was tall, with a muscular body. His skin was fair
and smooth. The large green eyes held an almost hypnotic quality,
threathening to find their way right to your soul.

Smiling to himself Justin slowly walked up to his newest toy. -Hey, he
said, staring into the pair of light green eyes. -Hi, the other answered,
his deep voice giving away his Southern origin. -I'm Justin, Justin said,
offering the blonde man his hand. He took it. -I'm Lance, he
answered. Leaning his head a little to the side, Justin studied Lance. A
small smile formed on the blonde's face. -You're staring at me, you
know. -I know, Justin said. -I want you. The shocked expression on Lance's
face nearly had him laughing. Lance quickly regained his composure
though. -Really... he commented, lifting one elegantly arched
eyebrow. -Yes, Justin answered. -I want you. Now. Lance smiled again, and
Justin could see the first sparks of desire in the depth of his eyes.

Lance had already decided that he was going to give in to the curly-haired
man in front of him. He was simply too cute to miss. And the pout was
adorable, Lance was sure Justin usually got his way with that. -I haven't
seen you around here before, he commented, prolonging the game. -I'm not
around here much either, Justin answered, starting to look a little
frustrated. He really wasn't used to someone not giving in at once, Lance
thought somewhat amused. Taking another swallow of beer from the bottle in
his hand, his eyes still held Justin's.

Stepping closer to Lance, Justin let one hand slide down the side of his
chest. -Come with me, he said, his voice low. -Are you always this straight
forward? Lance answered, feeling the urgent need at Justin's touch. -When I
want something, yes, Justin said. -Come. He took Lance's hand and let him
away. Lance let him do it.

Lance was starting to get a little nervous at the sight of the car. -Why
don't we stay right here, he tried. -Too many people, Justin answered. He
looked at Lance with his best innocent little boy look and watched the
other man relax again. -Ok, Lance said, looking at the car again. -I trust
you. The innocent look giving way for smoldering lust in Justin's blue
eyes, he held the car-door open for Lance. -You really are a gentleman,
Lance teased as he got into the black sportscar. -You haven't seen nothing
yet, Justin grinned. -Nothing at all...

The drive back to the house was spent in silence. Justin glanced over at
Lance, trying to figure out what he was thinking. This close to him, he
could smell the faint scent of his blood, mixed with traces of arousel and
a little fear. -We're here, Justin said as they stopped in front of the
villa. -Nice place, Lance said and looked up at the house. -You live her
with your family? -Sort of, Justin shrugged.

Justin led the way up the pathway to the house he shared with JC and
Joey. Not bothering to turn on the lights, he quickly led Lance down to his
own bedroom. Once inside Lance looked around. Heavy black silk drapings
closed all light out, the dark red walls seemed to glow in the faint yellow
light from the small lamp at the bed. Everything else in the room was
black. Including the satin bedcovers Lance found himself suddenly pushed
down on top of.

Justin stood in front of the bed, silently watching him. The intense stare
had Lance's pulse racing, he was slightly intimidated by Justin and
enormously turned on. The fear and desire was a potent mix. Slowly Justin
got into the bed, placing himself on top of Lance. Pressing his lips on the
other man's, he felt Lance's mouth open willingly under his. -This is way
too easy, he thought, mentally smirking. Grinding his hips into Lance's he
clearly heard the happy sigh coming from the blonde. Justin bent down to
lick Lance's neck, he was already hard. Lance's skin tasted salt and and
sweet, Justin could feel the blood flowing through his veins under the
delicate layer of skin. Justin continued to kiss Lance's neck, occasionally
licking him. -Yeah, that feels great, Lance said softly, letting his hands
roam down Justin's back, cupping his firm behind. Now he could feel a
tender bite, and he shifted under Justin's insistent weight to feel more of
him.

The bite on his neck grew stronger. -Justin, that hurts, Lance said, moving
a little to make Justin stop. Suddenly Justin's caresses shifted from
tender to rough. He held Lance down in the bed, brought his mouth back to
Lance's skin and bit down. Shocked Lance felt something sharp penetrate
his skin, drawing blood. -What the hell are you doing? he got out, fighting
to get Justin off him. Justin was holding him still easily, now Lance was
desperately trying to get away. -Fight! his fogged mind told him, -you have
to get out! Dizzyness settled over him as blood was drained from his
body. Justin soon felt Lance's attempt to get away go weaker, and
triumphantly he raised his head. The fear was obvious in Lance's green eyes
as Justin stared down on him, his own blue eyes glowing in the
half-darkness. He smiled over the confused frown on Lance's face. The smell
of blood mixed with fear was intoxicating. Lance couldn't hold back a gasp
as Justin's smile widened, showing off his blood-stained fangs. -What are
you? he whispered, wide-eyed from fear and disbelief. -I, my sweet boy,
Justin laughed lowly, -am a vampire. Don't worry...come tomorrow morning,
and you will be one too...
