Let me introduce myself, my name is Josh Parks, I'm 22 years old and live
in the hilly regoins of Kentucky. This is just a fantasy of mine, and from
a request of one of my friends, an author for nifty, I decided to write
it. I love to write and I love to read stories from other people. Thus
making Nifty a great place to start. I hope you guys like this story and
I have a great many ideas for it, so comments are welcome, both good and

Chapter 1: Day Dream reality

The morning sun shone through the white blinds of my bedroom, I already
knew it was time to get up even before I opened my eyes and checked the
clock. If the sun was able to shine through my window then it was getting
around 10 oclock, my room is in the back of the house which during any time
of the year the sun always peeks through the trees and just slips a few
rays into my window to wake me up. I snuggled closer to the figure laying
next to me and sighed happily, I never wanted to leave this wonderful bed
or the warm tight embrace from the figure next to me. Jeff Timmons...now
that he was with me, my life was complete. Who's wouldn't be? A gorgeous
guy, sweet as honey and more gentle than a lamb in sping, his love
cascading around me like a warm, fuzzy blanket. I find myself creeping
back into sleep, slowly slipping into my thoughts of happiness. Then my
eyes flutter open sleepily and the tight embrace leaves me as my quilt,
pulled tight around me during the night, falls from my shoulders. The
figure sleeping soundly is my fleece, plaid pillow that's almost as long as
I am tall. I shove it from me in disgust, another dream! Another taunting,
teasing dream of a ungranted wish. My own crazy fantasy that would never
be fufilled, no matter how many stars I wished on or birthday candles I
blew out, it was just a dream.

I stretch under the warm confines of my cover and popped my toes by flexing
them then curling them up tight, can't start the day without doing that.
Getting out of the bed my feet hit the soft carpet and a small, brisk,
chill floods over me. I love the way my room stayed nice and cold it made
it easier for snuggling deep in my quilt or into my pillow. I reach over
to my left and grab my glasses from my night stand and somehow throw them
on my face and trudge forward to the door. I turn off the two switches to
my "air cleaner" as I call it. It's a machine that sucks up the dust and
allergens in the air and blows out clean air back into the room. I open my
door and walk to the kitchen and grab a white glass bowl and a spoon and
set them on the table, the spoon hits the bottom of the bowl with a clink.
I pick out my box of cereal, Kellogs Frosted Flakes...They're
GREEEEAT!...and retreive the gallon of milk from the fridge and sit down to
breakfast. As I stare aimlessly into the frosted flakes flaoting in my
bowl and mechanically spoon the cereal from the bowl to my mouth, my eyes
were drawn upwards to the back of the cereal box. My hand continued to
spoon the cereal into my mouth after every swallow as my eyes skimmed over
the box. At first I didn't really understand it, I just got up after all!!
I reread it and dropped my spoon into the bowl and clutched the box in both
hands as I read it for the 3rd time. "You could be a lucky winner, see the
boy band of your choice if your picked for our Boy Band of Your Dreams
contest. Just send in your name, age, address and phone number on a
postcard to the following address. You can pick from these 4 boy bands:
Back Street Boys, N'Snyc, 98 Degrees, or Dream Street. 2 lucky winners
will be chosen for each Boy Band group so mail in your postcard today!!
Drawings will be held December 20th." I looked at the calendar on the wall
over the sink counter, it was the 14th of December, I had a little more
than a week to have my post card sent in. I literrally tore the bag of
cereal from the box and rushed from the kitchen in search of a post card
and a pen. My frantic 10 minute search finally paid off as I found both
the items. I calmly wrote my name, age, address and phone number on the
card and wrote down the address from the back of the box, licked a stamp
and stuck it above the address in the top right hand corner and went back
to breakfast. My corn flakes were soggy by now so I poured them in the dog
bucket and grabbed an apple. I could win...sure why not?...only one
problem...I was as lucky as a black cat in a house of broken mirrors and I
was going to enter a contest against millions, BILLIONS of other people?
OF COURSE I WAS!!!! I ran the postcard out to the mailbox and ran back in
the house with my head flooding with wonderful visions of me winning and
getting to see Jeff Timmons of 98 degrees.

December 20th

Today was the day, my life would either change forever or not. I was glued
to the phone, the radio was flipped through every channel just in case they
announced it on the air, and the tv was surfed until the remote battery
died. The phone was mine or more like a part of me, it was almost another
apendage, my hand never came off the receiver as I waited for it to ring,
if it did...I'd be ready. Around 5 oclock in the afternoon I gave up
waiting, they had picked a winner by now for sure and got in contact with
them. I made a disgusted face as I thought of the lucky winners screaming
their heads off and jumping up and down. I was watching some cartoon show
but my mind kept wandering...Jeff Timmons, I could have met you if
only...MY LUCK WASN'T SO ROTTEN!!!

The phone rang and I almost jumped through the ceiling. I had forgotten
about it sitting directly next to me. I answered it and annoyingly said,
"Hello?"

A very cheerful, exciteable voice of a young man came over the phone,
"Hello there, this is Dan Johnson from the Boy Band of Your Dreams contest
sponsored by Kelloggs Corn Flakes, may I speak to Josh Parks please?"

It took a moment for me to pick the bottom of my jaw off the floor to talk
but finally stammered, "Tttthhis is him."

"Congradualtions Josh, you were picked second to meet with 98 Degrees
and...the boys are here and wanted to congradulate you."

There was a slight pause and the phone fell silent and then a very sexy
sounding group of voices came over the phone, "Hey!" " Congrads man!"
"Yea, I bet your pysched huh?" "Wassup?"

I feel silent as I placed each of their voices, "Is Jeff there?" WHAT WAS I
THINKING!! Asking for Jeff..your crazy!!!

"OOOOooo we got a Jeff Timmons fan here boys, should we just send him or
should we tag along for the fun of it?" I heard Dru say.

The voices got quieter and a gorgeous, harmonic, angelic voice came over
the phone, "Don't mind them, they are just jealous." IT WAS JEFF!!!!! AND
HE WAS TALKING TO ME!! "We are in Ohio right now, and we'll be stopping by
your house in 2 days if that's ok?"

"Sure...that's really fine...I mean that's cool with me." Really
fine...that was really descrete!!

"Cool, your house is closer then the first chosen's so we decided to stop
there first. We'll spend the whole day with you if you want, we cleared
two days off actually. Well we'll see you then ok?"

"Yea...ok," I croaked, "see you then."

"All right then...oh and Josh, I would come alone but the rules says the
whole group has to come. Cya...click" I stood there holding the phone for
what seemed a good forever. Did Jeff just hit on me or was my dreaming
getting the best of me? WHO CARES!!! I was going to meet Jeff Timmons!!!
WOOOHOOOO!! I hung up the phone and danced around the house chanting "I
won, I won! Who da man? Who da mAAAAAN?"

"Wait, they'll be here in 2 days? I have to clean house! This place is a
mess!" I began cleaning for the wonderful man that would be visiting me
for a whole day...and the other guys that was coming to.

That's it for the first chapter, this and the other chapters will be
separated into other smaller chapters. so tell me what you think and all
ideas are welcomed. and I'm not promising anything but I'll try to reply to
