FoolishBeat - Chapter 1

Hello my name is Sean Brandon Anderson, I am a 27 year old cute guy, 6',0",
180lbs, brown eyes, brown hair and very gay. Today is my lucky day, I start
my new job as a record executive working at Jive Records in Orlando. I have
been working with Jive for almost 4 years now, I started as an intern and
now I have worked my way up to executive status, cool. When I go into the
office today, I will meet the people and groups that I will be overseeing
and for my first task I get to go on tour...is that cool or what. But first
things first, I must say that this is a dream come true for me, I will get
to meet Joey Fatone of 'N Sync and I will also get to meet Brian Littrell
of the Backstreet Boys, my two favorite boy band stars, what else do I have
to live for now. Oh well, I will go ahead and get on with what happens to
me once I start my new position, so I won't keep you waiting any longer.

[Monday Morning:8:45am:Jive Recording Parking Lot]

"Good Morning Mr. Wright, how are you doing this fine Monday?" Sean asked
as he walked over to Johnny as they were walking to the entrance of the
Jive building.

"Oh I am doing great, how about Jive's new addition to the executive team?
How are things with you, how was the weekend?" Johnny asked as he held the
door open for Sean.

"It was ok, I spent most of it here with paperwork and trying to arrange
studio time for a new group called PassionFly. At the last minute Phil gave
me the group file and asked me to set them up with some time so they could
lay down a couple of tracks, other than that, everything was cool." Sean
said as he showed his ID badge and continued walking down the corridor.

"Well Sean, today is the day that we get down to the nitty gritty. I will
introduce you to 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys today, and for you to get
a feel of what their tour manager goes through, you will join them on their
joint tour starting in a couple of weeks. I want you to get to know both
groups, because you will be riding with one group, so get to know them and
choose who you are gonna be with." Johnny said as he and Sean entered the
conference room where everyone was waiting.

As the two of them entered the room, Joey of 'N Sync got up to welcome them
into the room and offered them both coffee. Overjoyed with the sight of
Joey, Sean was tongue-tied when he tried to say good morning and thank you
to Joey for the coffee.

"Are you okay sir? Is there something I can help you with?" Joey asked
Sean.

"Uh...uh uh...uh, no, I am okay, just let me get over to my seat." Sean
said to Joey as he walked over to the seat that was assigned to him.

"Are you sure you okay Sean? You seem pale." Johnny said to Sean as they
sat down at the table to start the meeting.

"I'm okay Johnny, just start the meeting and everything will be alright."
Sean said as he cleared his throat again.

"Okay everyone, let's get this meeting started. The first thing of business
today is the joint tour of "N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Also, I would
like to introduce Sean Anderson, he is going to be the tour manager for the
joint tour, so I hope you guys all get to know him, because he's going to
be around for a while. The next order of business is the picture of Joey in
the Enquirer with Chad Allen. Joey, what actually went on at that party in
LA with Chad?" Johnny asked, as he finished his statement.

"Look, I didn't do anything with him, we were just sitting in the hottub
doing nothing, then all of a sudden some guy jumps up and started taking
pictures of us, that's all." Joey said as he got up from his seat and
stormed out of the room.

"Sean can you go out and talk to him. This will give you a chance to get to
know Joey, calm him down and get him back in here for the rest of the
meeting." Johnny said as Sean pushed his chair back and stood up to go find
Joey.

Sean walked through the corridors of Jive looking for Joey, and he finally
found him when he came to the stairs leading out the back of the
building. Once Sean got close enough to actually see what was happening, he
noticed that Joey was bent over crying uncontrollably trying to catch his
breathe.

"Joey are you okay?" Sean asked as he entered the stairwell.

"I am okay, I just need some time to deal with all of this. I need to get
use to being gay, use to having people know that I am gay. It seems Johnny
just threw it out on the table for everyone to hear and I wasn't ready for
BSB and the guys to hear that I was caught in a hottub with my
ex-boyfriend." Joey said as he still sobbed.

"Chad Allen was your boyfriend? How long were you guys together?" Sean
asked.

"We had been together for about a year, but my career and his wouldn't let
us stay together. When ever I had free time, he had to work, and when he
had free time, I was off somewhere touring, so we called it quits and
decided to just remain friends." Joey said as his tears finally stopped.

"So what happened the other night with the picture of you two together?
What happened to get yourself in that situation?" Sean asked.

"We were just having some drinks when this guy started taking pictures. We
were just talking about old times. That's all, just talking old times. Why
me, why is someone trying to hurt me like this." Joey started to sob again.

"I don't know Joey, I don't know, but I do know how you feel about all of
this, I am gay too, and I know how it feels to have people try to hurt
you. If you ever need to talk, I am here for you." Sean said as he rubbed
Joey's back soothingly.
