Sorry its been a while, i had nothing for over a month, then suddenly i
remembered what i wanted to do with this group.

What Happened to Forever, sequel to Forever in My Heart
Chapter 1


Howie loved the smell of new tour bus.  It struck a chord with him.  It
meant that they would be onstage soon.  This one was new though.  It wasn't
at all like the tour busses of their past.  This one was MUCH larger.
Well, first of all, fir the first time, all of the Backstreet Boys would
not be traveling together.  AJ, Nick, Tommy and Lucy would be in one bus.
Howie, Brian, and Kevin in the other.  Each bus had two actual bedrooms
with doors, a bathroom, an entertainment room and a kitchen.  The men of
BSB admitted it would be strange to travel without each other, but there
was no way they would survive all together, especially with a
three-year-old and his babysitter along for the ride.


This tour would put a whole new spin on how the world looked at the
Backstreet Boys.  Sure, they would sing old favorites, from back in the
day, and from Millennium.  Plus they would add in some songs from the never
released, 'We're One.'  The boys had never released it due to personal
reasons.  Over the last three years, all of the boys had worked on, and
produced a whole new sound.  ' Universal,' would take them into a whole new
world.  The album wouldn't even be released until halfway through the tour,
which added to the excitement of each fan as they stood in line for
tickets.


As a bonus track on 'Universal,' which for once, didn't have different
songs on European albums than American albums, the boys decided to released
the never released original cut of ' I Want It That Way.'  The boys felt
the need to thank their fans for all of their support over the years, no
questions asked.


When the boys pushed off the release of ' We're One,' the whole world went
up in hysterics.  Too much was going on at the moment to put another album
together and release it, because that meant another tour, something for
which the boys were not prepared for.


Nick and AJ got married in a quiet ceremony, surrounded by family and only
the closest of friends in Vermont.  Three short months after the marriage,
Tommy blessed their lives.  There was no way anyone could have separated AJ
or Nick from their newlywed status or their son.  The album was pushed
back.  Howie and Brian took a long vacation together, to some remote but
relaxing islands.  In that time, Brian felt himself completely relax from
life's little challenges, and he found himself falling in love with Howie.
The small vacation turned into a 6 month vacation, and the album was pushed
back.  Kevin was the only member of the group to go into the studio
everyday, but this time he was writing and producing songs for his own solo
album, one of just piano music.  Again, the album was pushed back.  By the
time each member had his life back on track, the boys were in need of a
change.


Three years later ' Universal,' was completed.  Each member wrote,
produced, and had a solo in at least three songs.  It was a complete
Backstreet Boys album.  It was what they had always wanted to do but never
had the inspiration.  Now they had the inspiration, and the time and the
energy to do the tour that had been a long time coming.  It was an
extremely thrilling time in all of their lives.


Howie placed his bags down in the bedroom he had designated for him and
Brian.  He sighed deeply and began to put his clothes and personal items
away.  This time around things would be different.  Howie convinced himself
of this.  The last time they toured, the relationships within the group
were a little fucked up to say the least.  However, this time, there was a
marriage, a child, a solid relationship, and a man who had gained immense
amounts of strength over the years.


As much as Howie knew that this tour would bring good times, he still had a
lingering thought that something was going to go terribly wrong, and he
didn't quite know where it came from and how to get rid of the thought.  He
unpacked, crawled on the bed, closed his eyes, and waited for Brian to join
him.



Nick and AJ watched as Tommy ran from Lucy's arms and ran to the bus steps.
He looked back at his fathers to make sure he could go on.  When they both
smiled at the boy he ran up the steps and began to giggle at the large bus
surroundings.  Both and AJ and Nick ran to catch up with their son.  Lucy
followed slowly, dragging many bags with her.


Lucy was grateful for the job that had come to her just by knowing the
Carter's growing up, but sometimes, the hiding, and lying got a bit
tedious, and hurtful to her life.  She never thought about telling the
McLeans her concerns.  They paid her well, too well she thought sometimes.
She never complained, she just went about her duties, taking care of Tommy
and doing the occasional errand for either Nick or AJ.  She loved her job,
she did, but Lucy was at the end of her rope.


Lucy dropped her things off in the small-enclosed bedroom they made for
her, which was basically just a curtain in the middle of Tommy's room.  she
tired to unpack as much as could before she heard AJ ask her to watch Tommy
while they went to a meeting with the others before they began their
journey.  Lucy took Tommy to watch TV as his fathers discussed business.




Kevin stood outside of his bus, a cell phone in his hand.



	" Baby, this is killing me.  I wish we could tell the others."
	" I do too, but you know what their reaction will be if we don't
say it together."
	" I love you."
	" I love you too.  Don't worry so much K, we'll survive this tour,
together."
	" I know, but, it'll be so hard, you'll be so close, and yet so
far."
	" K, this time is for real, we know this now.  We'll be okay.  Now
go and unpack and hurry up to the first city so I can see you."
	" Okay, okay.  I love you and I will see in a few days."
	" Bye baby."
	" Bye."


Kevin shut his cell and threw it in his bag as he climbed the bus.  He
walked to his bedroom, the one with the door open, and flopped down on the
bed.  He wished that his lover were with him.  It had been so long since he
had been happy.  They would be together soon though.


The busses pulled out of the lot, Howie, Brian and Kevin on the video
phone, talking to Nick and AJ who had opted to remain on their own bus for
the time being.



	" We have a few days 'til the show, and we still haven't figured
out which songs we will sing."  Howie said pensively.
	" I don't think we need a set list, like other tours.  We do what
we do."  AJ suggested.
	" I like that, I do Bone, but I think that for sure, we should sing
certain songs every time."
	" Like?"
	" Like, Backstreet's Back, Larger than life, Now I'm yours, show
the world, and I want it that way."
	" Yeah, I agree with Brian's suggestions, but we should also sing
songs from 'We're One,' and not
 just stick with what people will know.  I personally think we should do
Believe, You're mine forever, and Forget this day."
	" Look, these shows are going to be long.  I say we sit down
tomorrow when we are all together and write out a list of songs.  Tonight
we concentrate on relaxing.  Okay?:" Kevin said stifling a yawn
	" Yeah, I think Kevvy needs sleep.  I do too.  See y'all tomorrow
guys."
	" Bye you two."


Howie shut off the vid telephone and walked to the kitchen.  He grabbed a
beer and sat down in front of the TV.  He flipped channels, bored and
frustrated that noting was on.  he fell asleep while he was looking for
something to watch.  Brian came to look for his lover and found him
sleeping, his beer about to slip from his fingers.  Brian took the bottle,
put it in the fridge and half carried his lover to bed.  Howie awoke from
the movement and walked back to the bedroom himself.  He got undressed ad
climbed into bed.



	" Bri, sing to me."
	" What should I sing?"
	" I dunno, just something soothing so I can fall asleep."
	" Okay, well this is what's in my head."

Howie had fallen asleep around the first verse, but Brian continued to sing
to his lover.

Kevin fell asleep with his phone to his ear.  All he heard on the other end
was deep breathing, but that was just letting him know that his baby was
safe and sleeping.  Kevin let his eyes droop and eventually he fell asleep.


Nick and AJ spooned as they fell asleep.  They had tucked Tommy in and said
goodnight to Lucy.  They cuddled for about 30 minutes before Nick turned
off the lights and fell asleep.


Lucy stayed up and watched MTV.  She noted the fact that it had gotten
worse over the years.  The prick the world knew as Carson Daly now ran the
station, which meant he had complete control on what was shown.  He liked
to flash back to 2000 a lot, so half the day was spent airing old episodes
of TRL, which for the most part, played songs that were outdated.  Lucy
switched back and forth between channels before she reached the breaking
point.  She was about to turn it off when a headline on the TV flashed
across the screen.


	" NSYNC admits to another gay member.  JC Chasez and Lance Bass,
though are not a couple, are now both open homosexuals in Hollywood."


Granted she was watching national inquired TV, but suddenly a thought
popped into her mind.  She smiled suspiciously, turned off the TV, and
climbed into bed.  She had a long tour ahead of her; she also had a plan.
