I just left him a couple of minutes ago." Lance stated speaking into his phone. "How is this affecting everyone? Are all the other guys okay?" Diane Bass asked. "Everyone is okay mom. Remember we are on a break so nothing is really out of whack at the moment. I just hope he doesn't have any other problems with this accident later." Lance stated, pressing the play button on the answering machine. "I am quite sure he will be okay then. From what I have heard he has a good doctor and you guys have been checking in on him keeping him company. Hopefully he will be home in a couple of days." She spoke as Lance walked into his bedroom and started undoing his clothes. "Well mom everything's going to be okay, don't worry about us. Just worry about sis and her new boyfriend." Lance stated laughing. "What...how did you know about that?" his mother asked. "I do have my connections mom, besides, it's not like anyone was keeping it secret, it was all over the television." Lance stated. "Well, I just hope she is happy with the man she has chosen. If she is, it would take some of the spotlight off of you." Lance's mother joked. "Well it would be good to go home and not be stalked by fans or anyone else." Lance stated as his mother started babbling about other things. Lance and his mother talked for a couple of hours catching up on the things that had happened in the past couple of weeks. Getting tired from the days events, Lance said goodbye to his mother and hung up the phone. Thinking about some of the things he and his mother talked about, Lance started to wonder why he wasn't taking the time to find someone important in his life. // A Week Later - Joey's House // "I am glad Chris is getting out of the hospital today, I have missed him so much. I can't wait to get him in front of the playstation." Joey stated as he was sitting on the couch with Justin and JC. "I can't wait either, I have missed the little elf." Justin stated laughing as Lance and Chris walked into the house. "Hello everybody. What's going on?" Lance asked walking over to the guys. "We ordered some pizza and we got some movies. Chris are you feeling okay?" Justin asked. "Feeling find JuJu, just wish I could have slapped a couple of people on my way out of the hospital, but Lance wouldn't let me." Chris said jokingly. "Well if you are saying stuff like that, you are fine. He's back to normal." JC stated as he got up and walked over to Chris and hugged him. "Great! Now I have JC Cooties...please no more hugs." Chris stated. "What, oh I am going to hug you, and kiss you too." Joey stated as he got up and walked over to Chris as Lance stepped in front of him motioning for him not to. "Joey I need you for a moment. Can you help me with some stuff outside?" Lance asked, pulling Joey outside of the house before he can get to Chris. "Okay fine, but I will expect that you give me a hug before I leave this house." Justin stated as he walked over and shook Chris' hand. "I was only teasing Curly you can hug me now, you guys can't take a joke. I have been gone too long." Chris stated laughing as Justin gave him a hug. //Outside // "What did you need me to help you with Lance?" Joey asked. "Joey listen, do what you can to keep a little distance between you and Chris." Lance stated as Joey's mouth dropped open. "You should have expected this coming from me." "What's going on Lance, why should I keep my distance from Chris? Is there something wrong, is he mad with me or something?" Joey asked with a puzzled look on his face. "Joey look, Chris is in love with you. I don't know if you know that, but he has a thing for you, and well, I don't think he's going to get over it if you or touchy feely with him. I know it sounds crazy, but from my point of view, if you are not so chumy with him, he will hopefully forget about you in that matter and move on." Lance stated. "That can't be true. I thought we cleared this up already. Me and Chris had a long talk about this the night he was causing problems for the nurses. He told me that understood and that he was happy for me and Justin and that he would not let it bother our friendship. I don't feel I should act any different." Joey stated. "Look Joey, you may not believe it, but Chris is still in love with you. I don't think the talk you two had did any good." Lance stated as Joey shook his head. "Okay Scoop, we will do it your way, but I don't want to." Joey stated walking back into the house with a confused look. // Back Inside // "Baby is something wrong? You don't look so good. Is everything okay?" Justin asked Joey as he walked back into the room. "Nothing is wrong, why do you ask?" Joey asked wrapping his arms around Justin. "You look as though someone hurt your feelings. You look the same way you looked that day I kissed you and ran away/" Justin stated laying his head on Joey's shoulder. "Baby I am okay, I just need to go upstairs and get something." Joey stated releasing himself from Justin and walking upstairs to his bedroom. "Scoop what's wrong with Joey? He walked outside to help you and now he's acting strange. Did you say something to him!?" Justin aske with anger in his voice. "Just, are you okay, why are you raising your voice?" Lance asked, almost afraid. "Look Lance, Joey was alright before he went outside with you, now he's back inside and he's acting funny. I don't like it. What did you do to him Lance?" Justin asked. "Fine, I told him to stay away from Chris, are you happy?" Lance stated. "Why would you tell him to stay away from his friend? What are you trying to pull here?" Justin asked as Chris came into the room. "What's going on in here guys? "Why are you two arguing?" Chris asked. "Don't ask me, ask your friend here."
