What could be the huge announcement? Here are a few fans take on it. "Well, he did get married a while back...maybe he's gonna be a daddy!" A girl fan suggested. "No, I bet he's gonna dump her, and marry me!" Her little sister screamed. If you want to find out what the announcement is really about tune into MTV this Friday at 4:30 directly after TRL for live footage of the event. "So what exactly is this all about Nick?" Kevin asks his him. "I told you I don't know. He hasn't said anything to me either. I just know he seems to be nervous about it. So it must be important." Nick told him. "Okay, but if you find anything else out...let me know!" Kevin said leaving Nick's room. He wasn't very pleased with surprises. Nick picks up the phone and dials Tony's cell phone. Tony picks up on the second ring. "Hey Nick. How did it go with Kevin?" Tony asked. "It went okay...but I can't keep this from him much longer! His head looks like it might pop or something." Nick told him. "I know, but it's less than 24 hours...I'm sure we can hold him off! This is Brian's decision and he doesn't need Kevin trying to talk him out of it. Here he wants to talk to you." Tony hands the phone to Brian. "Yo B'rock!" Nick hollers in the phone. "Hey Nicky, thanks for putting off Kevin. I know it must be driving him nuts, but it's for the best. Listen Tony and I are going to stay here at his house tonight. Kevin won't have time to look here. If he gets to be too much trouble just lock him out of your room. He won't do anything crazy!" Brian laughed. "I know, I can handle him man. Just make sure you know what you're doing Bro! This is a big step for you." Nick told him. "I know that, but I'll be fine. I have Tony here for me, and I got you and the other guys!" Brian told himself more than Nick. "Your right, now I'm going to go...before Kevin senses that I'm talking to you...and tackles me." Nick laughed and hung up the phone. "So what do you want to do now dear?" Tony asked Brian. "I guess we could go for a walk." Brian suggested. "You've got to be kidding it's freezing out side. We might even get an ice storm I hear." Tony told him. "In Alabama...hmm...I didn't know you guys got those." Brian asked. "Well, we do sometimes...like once every 10 years!" Tony explained. "Oh, it would be just awful to get iced in with you." Brian said tackling Tony on the bed. "Hmm...really I thought it might be kinda nice." Tony kissed Brian. "Yes, it would be great." Brian said between kisses. Soon they both exactly how they wanted to spend the afternoon. "Ring" Went the phone. Ruby reluctantly picked up the phone...she was making out with Howie once again! "This better be important." Ruby stated, only half mad. "I'd say so girl, I got big news for you!" Edwin stated. "Edwin, man, sorry what's up? `It's my boss'" She mouthed to Howie. "Oh, you won't believe it. Your CD has just been declared a platinum album in the UK! You guys are saleing like hot cakes there! Since you girls haven't done any shows there...we decided now is the perfect time for a world tour. You Girls are going over to do some shows...and best yet we got you a gig opening up for the Spice Girls! They've agreed to let you perform an hour show before they go on! It's almost like you're nearly as big a part of the show as they are! It'll be great for your careers!" Edwin blurted it all out practically in one breath... "What you're kidding me? OH MY GOD! I can't believe I love the Spice Girls! We get to be part of their show...and did you say platinum? Oh my goodness! When do we leave?" Ruby asked `Leave, Spice Girls?' What's going on Howie thinks to himself. "You'll be leaving as Saturday night. That way you have time to get ready. Well, I have to go make the other arrangements, sorry I couldn't give you more notice. But at least you have a couple of days to get ready." Edwin was really excited. This was the break the girls, and Sandlot records needed! "What was that about?" Howie asked Ruby who was obviously very excited about something. "I've got great news!" Ruby said hugging Howie tight. "We were declared platinum in the UK, and we are going to get to do a show with the Spice girls! It's going to be great!" Ruby was on cloud nine. "Wow that's great! When does the tour start?" Howie said. "It starts...Saturday." Ruby finally realizing what this might mean for them. "Where is the tour starting?" Howie asked the question that's answer could mean so much... "We are leaving for overseas..." Emerald is talking on the phone with Edwin: "You're kidding me a tour in Europe! That's great! I'm so excited. I know this will be lots of fun, getting to see new places, meet new people! Awesome when do we leave? Oh that early, I see...okay we'll be ready boss, bye." "Your going on your first European tour I see?" AJ asked Emerald. "Yes, I'm so excited about it. I can't wait! We are leaving this weekend!" Emerald blurted out. "Where does that leave us?" AJ asked her. "Oh...I didn't think about that. I'm sure we can figure something out though. Right?" Emerald asked with a frown on her face. "I just don't know...I think I need time to think. I'll see you later dear." And with that AJ walked out and back towards his room. "Well, that didn't go so well..."Emerald stated to the air. "So what your saying is you have to leave the country Saturday...just when we have some time to spend together...without tours...without the business?" Howie asked with tears heaving his eyes. "Oh babe...I'm so sorry. I didn't expect this either...but it's our chance to make something of ourselves. We can be stars. I can finally be something that I can be proud of." Ruby told him. "You already are something to me Ruby. I love you...and I don't want to loose you." Howie held on to her tightly. "Dear stop that...your not going to loose me. We knew something like this would happen eventually. We just have to work a little harder to keep our relationship going. We can make it." Ruby told him, crying some herself. She would truly be lonely without him and Tony. "I know your right. I love you too much to give up. I'll be here for you my love." Howie said and they both lay down, and held each other. Later that evening, Tony went out to the car to get something...or so he told Brian. Tony dials Nick on his cell phone. "Hello." Nick answered the phone. "Hey man how are the preparations for tomorrow night going?" Tony asked him. "They are going great, everything's set. Brian's still in the dark right?" Nick asked. "He's clue-less. Listen I told him I was getting something from the car, so I got to get back. If anything comes up and you need me...call." Tony told him. "Will do, but I'm sure everything will go very smoothly." Nick stated. Tony hung up the phone and re-entered the house. It was around 6 and was starting to get dark. He was looking forward to getting the press conference over. He knew Brian would feel better when it was over too. As he was walking in the door his phone rang. "Hello?" Tony wasn't expecting a call. "Hey Tony this is Emerald. I have some good news. We were declared platinum in the England! Can you believe it?" Emerald told him. "Wow, that's great. I bet that'll happen here in the states sometime soon!" Tony responded. "Maybe, that would be awesome...but anyway Edwin thinks that we should go do a tour there since we are so popular there." Emerald told Tony. "Oh wow, that is exciting. I think I'll be going there with the boys sometime next year. When are you going?" Tony asked her. "We are leaving this Saturday." Emerald told Tony. "You're leaving that soon!" Tony shouted. "I know, it's a mess really...it's all to fast. AJ just walked out when he heard the news. I'm worried about him. What should I do Tony?" She asked him. "I don't know dear...but what am I going to do without you two?" Tony asked with a tear rolling down his cheek. Brian heard him yell...and saw the tear and quickly wrapped his arms around him. "Oh man I haven't thought about that either. I'm going to loose my big brother." Emerald pouted. "Stop that, you won't loose me. You'll just have to call me every day and keep in touch!" Tony forced a laugh. "Can you imagine the phone bill?" Emerald half laughed too. "Okay, then I'll settle for you both emailing me everyday, and calling once a week. Will that be okay?" Tony asked her. "You bet! I'll send you pictures of any cute guys we see too..." Emerald joked. "Well, that's okay. I don't need to see cute guys, I got Brian who's the sexist guy in the world." Tony told her. Brian blushed and held Tony tighter. "You're so full of it dear." He said and kissed Tony's neck. "Well, you go talk to AJ dear. I know he may not want to talk yet, but you need to all the same. Everything will work out one way or another." Tony told her. "I hope so. Say hi to Brian for me. Bye." She hangs up. "So what was that about?" Brian asked Turning Tony around to face him. "The girls are going on tour overseas...they are leaving this Saturday. I think AJ took it hard." Tony told Brian. "I can imagine. I'd hate to be that far away from you." Brian said kissing Tony. "Than we shall try to avoid that." Tony said returning the kiss. "So what time will your mother be back from your sisters?" Brian asked him. "Probably around 8. Why?" Tony asked. "Ah, that gives us plenty of time for another go then." Brian said leading Tony towards the bedroom. Blake's room: "Right Edwin. I'm sure the girls will like Gene. He'll be a fine manager for them. Right, they won't mind loosing me! Well, I've got plenty of other plans. Oh, there's a new band? Well, you set up a meeting and I'll see what we think of each other. Okay, that'll be great." Blake hung up with Edwin. Blake had considered everything that had happened over the months with Tony and the girls. And he has come to the realization that they would be better off with another manager with more experience. Tony didn't need him either; Brian was more like his manager anyway! Blake would be sad to see his friends go...those that still considered him a friend. Blake picked up the phone and dialed Kevin's number. This would be the beginning of the end here...saying goodbye to the first person. "Hey Kevin, listen do you think you could come over for a few minutes." He asked "Sure dear, what's up? You haven't talked to much in a while." Kevin stated. "I know, I've had a lot of time lately to think things through. I'll tell you when you get here." Tony told him. Five minutes later Kevin knocked on the door. "Come in Kevin." Blake answered. "What's up dude?" Kevin asked. "I've decided to resign as the girls and Tony's manager. I will be leaving tomorrow to meet with a new band. So I guess this is goodbye." Blake told Kevin. "What but we were just getting to know each other better. And we have a lot of fun." Kevin told him. "You know that you're married...and even if that doesn't bother you, it does me. You'll find someone else to play with. And me I'm going to find someone to love me, not just fuck me. I'll miss you Kevin, and your big cock...but it's better this way." "Okay...if that's how you want it. Good bye Blake." Kevin said walking out the still open door. "I don't want it that way...but I have no choice." Blake said quietly with a tear running down his face. He was getting so close to falling for Kevin. He knew he had to get away from him. Emerald slowly walked down to AJ's room and knocked softly on the door. She was nervous as could be...what would he have to say? Would he stick it out for her? "Who is it?" AJ asked...his voice was raspy like he had been crying. "It's Emerald please let me in." She asked him. "Honey, I know why you're here...but tonight let's not talk. Let's just be together okay? I need it." AJ said and pulled her inside the door and to the bed. In mere moments Emerald would give him her most precious gift-her virginity. The next morning: "That was wonderful AJ...I couldn't think of anyone I had rather of shared my first time with." She said cuddling to him. "I love you dear." AJ said to her. "I love you too." She said with tears of joy in her eyes. "But I have to let you go..." AJ said crying openly. "Wha...what do you mean?" Emerald said more hurt and angered than ever before. "I mean the long distance thing is hard enough, but with you being in another part of the world...and both of us in this damn business it's just impossible. It's too hard for us both." AJ said crying more. "It's not hard we can work it out!" Emerald said with tears flowing. "No, we can't...I'm sorry." AJ stated. "No." Emerald grabbed her clothes and ran out the door. She barely made it to the room before she realized she was only wearing her panties...but some how she didn't care. She put on a shirt and crawled into her bed. She had no desire to come out from her covers ever again. In Howie's room: "Good morning sunshine." Howie said to his waking love. "Oh I was afraid I was dreaming, but you're still here. Thank you for not giving up on me." Ruby said. "I'll never give up on you...as long as we live." Howie said kissing her softly. "Thanks for making me happy dear." She said happily returning the kiss. Nick was walking by Emeralds room...she had left the door open and he heard her crying. He softly knocked on the door. "Whoever it is...go away." Emerald whimpered. "What's a matter Em?" Nick asked pulling the covers down from her head. "Don't look at me now...I must look like shit." Emerald said crying more. "You look fine...now what's all this crying about?" Nick asked very worried about his friend. She couldn't say anything...she just simply clung to him and cried more. Nick didn't know what was going on, but he knew she needed him. So he held her till she calmed down. 30 minutes later she was finally able to talk. "He dumped me Nick...I guess I wasn't worth the effort." Emerald said and cried her last few tears out...she had cried till there were no more tears. "What do you mean, there has to be more to this?" Nick asked her. "Yeah, we are leaving Saturday night for a European tour. He thinks the long distance will be too hard on us...so he gave up. He doesn't even want to try." Emerald stated...feeling so defeated. "I'm so sorry dear." Nick said and hugged her tightly. Soon Emerald fell asleep in his arms, and Nick just held her for a while...before slipping out from under her. He found a piece of paper and jotted his cell number down. And wrote for her to call him if she needs to talk. Soon he was back in his room, and making a few calls of his own. "Right, tomorrow at 1...sure that's great!" Nick got of the phone everything was set up. Now he had to make sure the girls would still be here. He called Howie's room. "Hello." Howie answered. "Hey is Ruby still there?" Nick asked. "Yeah why?" Howie asked. "Oh I needed to talk to her for a second." He told him. "Sure no problem." Howie said handing her the phone. "Hey Nick, what's up?" Ruby asked. "Well, I just wanted to see what time your flight went out tomorrow?" He asked her. "How did you know about that?" She asked. "Well, I talked to Emerald about it...you should really talk to her later." He told her. "What happened?" Ruby asked. "AJ dumped her...I don't know if it's my place to tell ya, but she doesn't really need to go through the whole story again." Nick responded. "Oh I was afraid something like that might happen. I'll go check on her." Ruby said about to hang up. "Actually right now she's asleep and could use the rest. Maybe you should wait till lunch room and wake her up with something warm to eat." Nick suggested. "That's probably a good idea thanks Nick...oh and we are leaving for the airport around 7." She told him. "That's great! You'll be here for... `er never mind." Nick said. "You're up to something boy." Ruby laughed at him. "Whatever Ruby...paranoid much?" Nick said laughing at her. "Anyway, thanks for talking to my sister dear. I'll handle it from here. Later Nick." They hung up. At Tony's house: "Mom remember what I said. Around 7 tonight get to the airport and don't be late...I'll have a driver pick you up and take you to the hotel. And don't call me...or he'll find out." Tony told his mother. "I know, I know...I got it already!" His mom stated. "Okay, good. Now I have to go help Brian get ready for the announcement. I'll call you after that to let you know how it goes...and then I'll see you Saturday at one." Tony told her. "Right I got it under control." She smiled at her son. After that Tony helped Brian finish packing up the little things they had brought. And loaded it up in the trunk, and they drove to the airport. Soon they would re-join the others. And then on to MTV... MTV Studios That evening: "Hi everyone this is Carson Daily, any second now Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys will be coming in to make some big announcement. And you our studio audiences are lucky enough to be here to meet him, and be a part of it!" Carson stated as the crowd went nuts. "Okay come on out Brian!" Carson yelled and to everyone's surprise...Tony and Brian both came out holding hands. "Oh wow, I knew you guys were reported to be close friends, but it's a real treat that he could be here with you!" Carson stated. "It was no problem Carson. I'm glad to be here." Tony told him. "And it's a pleasure to see you to Tony. Your new Single Try Try Try again has been doing pretty damn good on TRL." Carson told Tony. Tony hadn't been keeping up with it lately. "Really? That's excellent! But let's let Brian talk first." Tony smiled and looked into Brian's eyes. "Right, well first of all...I want to state that I am divorcing my wife." With that said tons of teenage girls reacted something sighing in sadness for him, but most yelling in excitement...one even yelled "Marry me Brian!!" "Why are you doing that...you've only been married a few months now anyway." Carson was shocked. "Well, to be honest it was all set up with the record companies. I never loved her that way...she was a cover up." Brian told him. "A cover up of what?" Carson asked. "I'm gay." Brian said to Carson and the world. A few girls started crying, one fainted...but most of them cheered him. They were all impressed by his honesty. "Wow, it's not very often that someone famous like you comes out of the closet. What fuels your new found courage." Carson asked. "It's this guy over here." He said pointing at Tony. "So you guys are a couple then?" Carson asked putting the pieces together. "Yes we've been best friends for about 6 months now, and started dating a month ago." Brian told them. "That's amazing. Congratulations Brian and Tony! And just think we thought you were just starting some charity gig!" Carson laughed in amazement of the whole situation. "No it's much more important than that." Brian said kissing Tony softly on the lips. The crowd went nuts with that...lots of them cheering and crying at the same time. "Way to go cuz!" Kevin yelled and then him, Nick, and AJ all came on the stage and gave Brian and Tony a round of hugs. Meanwhile back at the hotel: "I'm sorry I couldn't go to the MTV thing dear...Emerald needed me." Ruby told Howie. "It's fine. Besides Brian filled me in about it earlier. I wanted to stay here anyhow. Cause I have something to ask you." Howie said. "What's that dear?" Ruby asked...as Howie got down on one knee. "Ruby will you marry me?" Howie asked. To Be Continued.
