Subject: JC & Jas Part 10

Disclaimer: I am not assuming anything about the lives of anyone in this
story. Many may wish things to be true, but who knows so don't be
offended, just enjoy. If you're UNDER 18, stop reading this, and all that
other legal stuff.

This is my first attempt, and I know this story lacks sexual adventures,
give it time, I want them to get to know eachother first, okay?

Lance walked up to the other car. "Well guys," he said with a false
cheery look, "what are we waiting for? Let's get to that food that smells
so good from out here!" Lance grabbed JC's arm and they both led the way
into the pizza parlor.
After they'd sat down [think: round table- Chris, Joey, Justin,
Lance, JC, and Jason ending up on Chris' other side] and ordered Jason
turned to JC and then the other guys and started talking excitedly.
"Hey guys, guess what?! I heard your song today!"
"Cool," Chris said, munching on a bread stick, "which one?"
"Oh, well um, I don't know. The DJ said something about it being
the latest. . ." Jason looked blankly around, trying to remember the
lyrics.
	"Oh with Gloria Estefan?"
	"Um, I don't remember there being a woman's voice?"
	"Well, what were the words?"
"I was afraid you'd ask that. . .um, I love it your way? I love to
hear you say? Something like that?" Jason looked up to see everyone
laughing at him.
	"What's so funny?"
JC looked over at him, still laughing. "Well, you've experienced
the Backstreet Boys."
	"Oh no!"
	"Yep, that's THEIR new song."
"Well the DJ said your `favorite guy group' or something. I figured
you guys were popular if your concert was sold out and tonight."
"Well, it was a nice try, guess you'll just have to be fresh meat
tonight." Justin said, laughing louder.
"Yep, a music virgin." Joey threw in, causing Lance to spit out his
pop.
"Uh, excuse me, I'm going to go to the bathroom to clean up," he
sputtered out while quickly getting up.
`God, I don't know if I can take much more of this. Just knowing
what's going on and me being the only one to know about it. . .you'd think
Justin would know, of all people. . .maybe he does know?. . .no, he would
have told you when you told him you were gay. . .of course he is very loyal
to JC. . .but no, he was totally cool about it when you were asking
questions earlier, he doesn't know. . ."
Lance rejoined the group just as the food arrived. They all dug in,
and thankfully JC and Jason were too busy eating to give eachother looks;
at least none Lance could see. Half their lunch period was over and Lance
was finished eating, and getting extremely agitated. Justin looked up from
his food, laughing at one of JC's corny jokes, but secretly plotting a way
to leave early, when he noticed a bothered look on Lance's face. `Leave him
alone, maybe his food didn't settle right or something. . .but still, if
you leave now you guys could go hang out somewhere away from the guys. .
.why would I want to do that? We just spent the entire day together
yesterday, I should see if Chris or Joey or both of them want to ditch out
with me and go shopping. . .but Lance is more fun. . .and he never makes
fun of everything you buy. . ."
"Hey Lance," Justin leaned towards Lance to whisper so he didn't
disturb Chris' joke, "ya want to take off soon? I kind of want to look for
a new pair of tennis shoes, it'll help me relax before more rehearsals."
`It'll be fun to spend time with Justin, he's a blast to hang with
and it'll get your mind, and eyes, off JC and Jason for a while, just go.'
"You bet, Curly, let's get out of here."
"Hey guys?" Justin asked, waiting for them to stop laughing. "Lance
and I are going to head over to that mall a few miles back, I want to check
out some stuff, alright?"
"Sure thing guys, we'll catch up with you at the arena." Chris
said, grabbing for another piece of pizza.
	"Cool, laters."
Justin and Lance walked out to the jeep in silence. `Oh cheer up,
it's not like you had a chance to begin with. The guy didn't even know you
were gay, let alone how much you were in love with him, why would you
expect him to consider you first? He's found someone nice, you liked Jason
before you found out, so drop it. . .but, I loved him SO much. . .you still
do love him, but you can learn to love someone else, sometimes love is
right in front of. . .'
	"So whaddya say?"
	"Um, say to what?"
"Earth to Lance, I've been talking all this time and you weren't
even listening. So I SAID, whaddya say about us hitting up that little mall
back there, and then maybe just cruising around town for a few before
heading back?"
"Yeah, sounds great J, why don't you drive?" Lance said, throwing
him the keys.
"Oh tight! Strap up Scoop, wouldn't want you hurting yourself!"
Justin said, whipping out of the parking spot.
"Maybe I shouldn't have let you drive again! So quickly I forget
your previous driving experiences." Lance joked, being thrown into his
seat.
"It's your old age, by tonight, you'll forget we even went out
today!"
"Oh, funny. Seems to me I'm not all that much older than you, my
child. But maybe I should check your diaper and see if you've become a big
boy yet?"
As they pulled into the mall they looked around and then back at
eachother.
"Well at least we don't need to worry about getting mobbed?"
"I guess not, there's practically no one here!" Justin said back,
laughing as he took his hat and sunglasses off. "I'm glad, though, it's
been a while since we could go out without these `disguises'."
"How true!" Lance said, laughing as he took his off and threw them
back in the jeep. "Shall we?"
	"But of course!"
They walked into the makeshift mall and looked around for a few
minutes. The `mall' contained two clothing stores, a shoe store, a used
music instrument/cd shop, a junk store where everything was under a dollar,
a coffee shop and two fast food counters.
"Well, the shoe store contained about 2 pairs of shoes I liked,
except they didn't have them in my size, did you see anything you liked?"
Justin said, laughing.
"They had some awesome warm-up pants at one of the clothing stores,
but I don't need any more."
"Yeah, let's go try the music place."
They went into the music store and began to look around. Up on the
wall were various guitars. Lance checked them out and began to freak out
when he saw a fairly nice condition PRS electric. He picked it up off the
wall and went to find the clerk.
"Hey, can you give me the cords so I can hook it up and check it
out?"
"Yeah, here's the cord, the tester amp is over in that corner, by
the window?"
"Cool, I see it, thanks." He said, hurrying over to the amp. He
plugged the guitar in and started strumming various chords. This was only
"crowded" store in the whole mall, and it had like 10 customers in it, but
they all came over to listen to Lance play as he started the chords to
"Everything I Own". Justin looked up from the other side of the store and
came over, sitting down next to Lance. After a minute he started to sing,
and Lance joined in, balancing the harmony. When they finished, the
customers began to clap and Lance and Justin just smiled and bowed. Leaving
the store they went back to the jeep to start heading back.
"That was fun Scoop, you should definitely sing more solos on the
next album, none of those people knew who we were and they loved your
voice!"
"Yeah, well, they're not fans, and the fans want to here more from
you and JC."
"Oh screw us, it'll give me a well needed break on tour, that's for
sure! You can go out during the concerts and sing all the leads, my voice
is getting tired." Justin said, laughing.
"Well I hope it's plenty rested for tonight, we've got a show to
put on in 6 hours."
"I'll just take a nap!" he said, causing them both to laugh at the
idea of actually having time to sleep before the show.

At the arena:
All the guys were sitting around, waiting for Justin and Lance to
return as the trainer was getting angry.
"Well I honestly don't see what part of 90 minutes those two got
confused with." He said for the third time in the 45 minutes since everyone
else had returned.
"Don't worry Jeff, Lance is always on time, there must be a
reasonable explanation," JC said, hoping there was one that didn't involve
Justin and Lance being in a ditch somewhere. `God, don't think like that.'
Jason looked over at JC to see a pained look in his eyes. `He must
be getting worried, god I wish I could go hold him to cheer him up.' Jason
fought to get JC to look up into his eyes and finally got his wish. As JC
looked up Jason smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling up and looking
around to make sure no one can see mouthed "I Love you". JC smiled back and
nodded, feeling warm all over.
As JC looked back down again, he heard noises heading their way,
and soon boisterous laughter as Justin and Lance made their way on stage.
"Hey guys," Justin said, noticing their stares, "sorry we're
late. Jason, ya didn't warn us lunch-time traffic by the arena was a
madhouse!"
"Yeah, it can get kind of bad." Jason said, noticing everyone's
relief and obvious stress from being angry at their late return.
"So glad you could join us guys!" The trainer said, not even
bothering to allow the group's discussion Chris, Joey and JC were about to
start. Let's get to it, we still need to recover the new routine at least
twice and go over the first set once by 5 and it's now almost 2:30."
The guys set to work while Jason found a spot on the side of the
stage, watching JC dance. `God, he's so graceful, his body flows with the
music. . ."
"Hey sexy, room for me on this bench?" Jason heard someone whisper
in his ear. He turned to find a grinning JC starting to sit down next to
him.
"Well actually sir, I'm waiting for my boyfriend to come back. He's
very famous you know, perhaps you've heard of him?"
"Oh quiet you!" JC said, kissing him briefly on the cheek. "C'mon,
it's my break time, like 15 minutes, let's go to the dressing room." JC
said, pulling on Jason's arm.
Once they got into the room and had the door closed, JC had his
arms around Jason's waist and his head on his shoulders. "God, I've missed
holding you, touching you, all day long."
"Me too," Jason said, returning the hug.
JC started to sway to the faint music he could hear from the stage
and he began to hum along to "God Must've Spent".
"Sing to me?" Jason whispered into JC's ear.
"Nuh-uh, not until tonight! You won't hear us sing until the lights
go down."
Jason broke the hug and walked towards the door, stunning JC.
	"Where're you going?" he whimpered.
"Nowhere." Jason said, turning around as he shut the lights off.
"Very funny!" JC said, finding his way to him in the dark and
grabbing ahold again, kissing his neck. "Except now you're alone in the
dark with me. I must warn you," he said, his voice getting very quiet as
his lips traced up Jason's neck towards his ear, causing Jason to shiver,
"I've been known to bite." He finished, nibbling on Jason's ear as he
moaned.
"But," JC said quickly, pulling away and turning the lights back
on, "I must get back to work now." JC turned around to give Jason a
playful smile.
"Oh so I'm just thrown off like that, huh? Work's more important
than lil ol me? Who am I to take you away from your work even the slightest
bit? I mean, I'm just your boyfriend. . .just the love of your life. .
.just your, what'd you say last night? Your heart and soul and every other
part that no one could ever live without? Something like that?"
JC burst out laughing. "Well, after that, who could resist at least
a goodbye kiss?" They started to make out, but as JC began to roam down
Jason's neck this time it was his turn to stop.
"C'mon sweetheart, if we don't leave now they'll send a search
party after us. Well mostly you!"
"Alright, alright." He said, kissing Jason on the lips one last
time and squeezing his hand quick before they left the safety of the
dressing room.
JC returned to the stage just as Lance was getting his break Lance
smiled at the two guys as they walked out of the dressing room and then
turned around to face them again.
	"Hey Jason?"
Jason turned around as JC continued back out to the stage. "Yeah?"
"Can I talk to you a minute?"
	"Um, sure?"
"Cool. Why don't we go in here, I need to make sure all my outfits
are set up."
	"Alright."
Jason followed Lance into the same dressing room JC had brought him
in just a few minutes before. This time he had a chance to look around,
though, and noticed it was surprisingly roomy, with big comfy couches all
around. Jason sat down on one as Lance sat down on the other side of him.
"So what's on your mind Lance?"
"Well, here's the thing. You're very cool, and I'm real glad we met
you at the courts the other day."
"Yeah, I'm glad, too. You guys are all real great."
"It's nice to know you think that. We usually each end up meeting
someone in a town where we're going to be at for awhile, and then that
person gets a new friend, so it's nice, and keeps our lives interesting.
We get pretty sick of eachother sometimes, you know?"
"Yeah, I can imagine." Jason said, not having any idea where Lance
was going with this.
"So, anyway, I've noticed you and JC have really, well clicked, and
I'm glad, it's been a while since JC has made a friend on the road, so it's
well past his turn. But here's the thing, I know you didn't know who we
were, and I believe that because I think you're just a good guy, but if you
do anything to hurt JC after he put his trust in you as a friend, I will
not be very happy, you know?"
"Lance, honestly, I think JC's a great guy, and I'm very happy I
had the chance to meet him and become close friends with him, as well as
the rest of you guys."
"Alright then, I just needed to say that. As the one who takes care
of most things around here, it's kind of my obligation, but I also am very
protective of JC, and I want to make sure everything's ok."
"Well, rest assured Lance, I'm not going to do anything to
jeopardize my friendship with JC or any of you, you guys have all been
really great, especially JC. He's helped me with a lot of, problems, I've
been having lately."
"Yes, that's the kind of guy JC is. Well, I must go now, thanks for
putting up with me Jason."
"It's no problem, Lance, I completely understand about how that was
necessary. You guys are famous, even if I haven't heard of you. It's good
to know you look out for everyone that way. I'd like to think that you'd
look out for me as a friend half as much."
"Anytime." Lance said, exiting the room. `God, how can I hate him
when he obviously loves JC as much as I do?'
As Lance walked out, Justin started coming down the hall.
	"Hey Scoop, how's it going?"
"Oh great, `cept I don't want to go back out there!"
Justin started laughing. "Oh I know! This guy is working us real
damn hard, just `cuz we were a little late!"
It was Lance's turn to laugh. "A little late? Besides, if we had
been 2 minutes late Fatima would've grilled us to the extreme, guess we
should be thankful for small blessings?"
"Too true, ya best get out there!"
Justin walked into the dressing room to find Jason sitting there,
pondering his conversation with Lance.
"Oh hey Jason, didn't know you were in here. What's going on man?"
"Eh, not much, just chilling in here, was talking with Lance on his
break. Your turn now?"
"Yep. So, I figure I need to have this talk eventually, so what
better time then now?"
	"Oh not you, too?"
	"Whaddya mean?"
"Well, Lance just gave me the third degree on my motives. I mean,
he was pleasant about it, but still I feel dirty, like I'm using JC, and I
didn't even KNOW you guys were famous."
"Oh don't worry about Lance, he's just very protective about
us. Making sure our new friends our good people. He's actually the best
judge of character I know. He's always been the first one to suspect people
that were using us. I'm sure if he thought you were he wouldn't have been
so pleasant about it."
"Oh cool. I was just starting to worry, he kept talking about me
and JC especially, I thought maybe he knew."
"No, he's just protective, and very observant. He just noticed that
JC's the one to latch on this time, we usually all make new friends in one
town or the other, so he probably assumes you're JC's pick this time."
	"Yeah, that's what he said."
"So, doing my protective duty for my big bro, be good to him or
I'll be bad to you, and don't mess with his trust, `cuz he's such a great
guy I'd hate to think of him ever hurt because he thought you were good."
	"I won't, swear to God."
"Yeah, I know, I just need to say it is all."
	"I understand."
"But, enough of this crowded space, let's get out to the stage and
watch everyone else."
`Crowded? Geez, this room is almost the size of my studio!'
They made their way to the stage and it was going on 4:30.
"Alright guys," the trainer was saying, "it's almost five, let me
hear "I Want You Back" one more time with those new steps I just showed you
and you're free until concert time."
They finished the song and headed to the dressing room. JC walked
kind of slow and fell into step beside Jason.
	"Hey, how you holding up?"
"Great, I can't wait to see you up there!"
"I can't wait to be up there and see you on the side of the
stage. Here's your official passes, tickets, and some stubs if you want to
get something to drink or eat while you wait, ok?"
"Thanks." Jason said, looking up at him expectantly.
JC quickly drug him behind a large curtain and gave him a very
passionate kiss. "I love you, sweetie, now go find your seat and
explore. Careful, though, the girls will be let in soon, like 5:30ish
because we go on stage shortly after 6, they may attack." He started to
laugh.
"Well," Jason said, laughing as well, "I'll just be sure not to
mention you're my boyfriend or they'll get really upset!"
	"Good idea. See you soon!"
"Yep, I can't wait, you'll be wonderful as always!"
	"Thanks."
And with that Jason went to find his seat, anxious to hear JC's
voice to all of the music he'd been hearing all afternoon.
