Tiernan smiled as he saw Lance's reaction. Silently hoping that the
gorgeous pop singer couldn't see the nervousness that he felt tearing at his
insides.
"Did you just say what I think you said?"
"What do you think I said?"
"That you preferred blond haired and green eyed singers?"
Tiernan took a hesitant step forward, watching Lance's face, which
seemed such a conflicting mix of hope and fear.
"If you heard me then why did you ask?"
"W..Well...I just wanted...I needed to know that I wasn't dreaming."
That was all the encouragement that Tiernan needed. He crossed the
intervening feet and leaned down placing his lips next to Lance's ear. Who
for his part was trying to keep his hands casually at his side regardless of
the fact that every inch of him wanted to reach out and caress every part of
Tiernan's body. His whole being was far too aroused by Tiernan's closeness
and his hot breath. Lance trembled slightly, hoping that Tiernan wouldn't
suddenly vanish like some mirage in the desert.
"Can I ask you something Lance?"
"Y..Yeah anything."
"Would you think anything less of me if I kissed you?"
Tiernan waited a few seconds for Lance's reply before realizing none
was coming. Slowly and sensually he straddled Lance in the chair. Leaning
over and taking Lance's open mouth as an invitation. Slowly he brought his
lips to Lance's, who by this time was uncomfortably aware of his own
heightened arousal as Tiernan pressed his body down against his crotch.
Tiernan lightly brushed his tongue against Lance's lips silently begging to
be allowed entrance. Hesitantly, he was admitted, and Lance began to gently
massage Tiernan's tongue with his own. They kissed for what seemed like an
eternity, before Tiernan pulled back.
"I'm glad you seem to be enjoying this."
Tiernan nodded down pointedly, and ground his hips down onto Lance's
erection, causing him to whimper with pleasure. He leaned back in for
another kiss, aroused as much as his emerald eyed angel. As he did, Lance
chose that opportunity to arch his back and grunted a bit as Tiernan's cock
pushed into his stomach.
"Apparently I'm not the only one."
"Mmmm...definitely not the only one..."
They both moaned softly as they rubbed against one another. Both losing
sight of who's body was who's, and which tongue belonged in which mouth.
Tiernan had just broken their kiss and started gently stroking the side of
Lance's neck with his tongue when he thought he heard a muffled voice in the
hallway. Lance writhed underneath him, unaware of anything. He started to
doubt his hearing when he heard a sharp knock and the sound of the door
opening.
"Shit!!"
With that, Tiernan kind of vaulted off Lance and stumbled backward onto
the bed. Just as he sat up someone entered.
"Hey Scoop are you ready ye...whoa, I didn't know you had company."
A stunned Justin looked from his friend to the unknown guy sitting on
his bed. Luckily, both boys were sitting and Justin couldn't tell anything
had been going on.
"We figured that you would be ready and might want to grab a bite to eat
before going to the interview."
"Sure, this is Tiernan. He is a guest star on Dawson's Creek and was here
for the interview."
"Yeah, I got kind of caught up with the photographer and wasn't out of the
room in time."
"Oh. Well it seems you guys have been getting to know each other. Would you
like to come to lunch with us?"
"Well, uh, that would be cool. Where were you guys planning on going?"
"I don't know, we were hoping to find a good Mexican restaurant around. Do
you know any place?"
"Yeah, the show is filmed here so I have had to learn where all the good
restaurants are. Fortunately, Mexican food is my favorite. I know the
perfect place. It's small and anonymous."
Justin walked over and extended his hand to Tiernan, who by this time
was cooled down enough to stand and firmly shake his hand. Lance stood as
well, looking at Tiernan and hoping his voice wouldn't betray him.
"It's good that its anonymous, being an actor I'm sure you understand how
uncomfortable it is to be mobbed by people while eating."
"Yeah, I've had a run for my money since the new episodes have been aired."
"Well Tiernan, why don't we leave our boy Scoop here to get ready. I can
introduce you to the rest of the group."
"Sounds great."
As Justin turned to lead him out, Tiernan gave Lance a meaningful wink
and smiled. Lance looked like he was using all his self control not to grab
Tiernan and haul him bodily back into another passionate embrace. Tiernan
smiled and tried to keep from laughing at the frustrated look his new friend
was wearing.
"Don't worry, we'll finish getting to know each other later."
"Yeah, and you better hurry in the shower, or we're going to leave you
behind. The other guys are starving as is."
"Don't worry guys, I'll be ready to go in a few minutes."
With that, Tiernan and Justin headed out, shutting the door. Justin led
them to a room around the corner and knocked once before entering.
"Hey Josh, James wasn't ready, but he met a guy who knows a great Mexican
place. He's an actor and I invited him to come to eat with us."
JC came out of the bathroom, still buttoning up his shirt. He strolled
over to his two visitors and offered his hand to Tiernan.
"Glad to meet you, I'm Josh."
"I'm Tiernan. Who's James, is he one of the other two I haven't met?"
Both of the guys laughed as Tiernan looked from one to the other,
clearly puzzled. After a few seconds both recovered and JC shook his head.
"Lance is James. James is his first name, and Lance his middle. We all call
him either James or Scoop."
"Oh...He is pretty nice, is he from the south?"
Justin laughed again and nudged Tiernan in the ribs. Trying to look as
though he was offended.
"Not one of our avid fans I see. Scoop is from Mississippi."
"What about you Tiernan?", JC piped in.
"I'm from New Orleans."
"Really, you have an interesting accent, I can't place it", that came from
Justin.
"My father's side is Irish Catholic, from that district of town, but my mom
is from old blood in the Garden District. She owned a large manor she
inherited when her mother died. I grew up with a mixture of Irish and French
influence."
JC and Justin both shifted uncomfortably, neither of them having missed
the "owned" part of Tiernan's story. Noticing, Tiernan smiled a little
sadly.
"My mother and father died in a plane wreck when I was ten. I grew up in the
manor with my sister. My parents Butler and Maid took care of us. Even now
at nineteen they still try to hover over me."
"Wow, I'm sorry man."
"What about your extended family?"
"Actually, my father was an only child, just like my mother. I never knew my
father's parents, and my mother's parents died when I was really young. But
Marcus and Lhiandran loved us like we were their own kids."
The three of them sat in an uncomfortable silence. Neither singer
really knowing what to say. Tiernan looked from one to the other and smiled.
"Don't worry about it, I loved it. Anyway, shouldn't we head downstairs to
meet the other guys?"
Tiernan's voice seemed to ease them, and they nodded. The three stood
and headed to the elevator. The mood seemed to have improved, Tiernan wasn't
really upset about his childhood, it had been the only one he knew, and
didn't feel like he had missed anything. His mood soon infected the other
two, and by the time the elevator reached the bottom floor they were
laughing and making jokes like old friends. Joey and Chris stood at hearing
the voices of their friends. Chris bounding forward, not wanting to be left
out of the apparent fun.
"So who's your friend?"
In short order, introductions were made and everyone was sitting around
the lobby waiting for Lance. The five guys exchanged a few stories, Chris
and Joey looked a little sad when Tiernan explained about his parents, but
quickly were able to pass it by as he started to tell them about all the fun
of Mardi Gras and growing up in New Orleans. Tiernan had the group almost in
tears with an embarrassing tale about his sister and an adventure in the
french quarter involving far to much alcohol for a sixteen year old girl,
when he suddenly cut of in mid-sentence.
"Hey guys, sorry I took so long."
It took every bit of self control Tiernan had to not simply stop and
stare at Lance. He had changed into a pair of loose khakis, and had a
sleeveless tight black shirt on. His silver necklace holding a cross gleamed
right below the neckline of the shirt. His Doc Martins shined as though he
just polished them, and he had Abercrombie and Fitch cologne on(which
happened to be Tiernan's favorite). His hair was immaculate, and his emerald
eyes and breath taking smile lingered a little on him as he addressed the
group. Tiernan gazed a little lustily at Lance's nicely formed arms. He
wasn't overly muscular and gross, but toned. As he watched Lance move, he
could tell the boy definitely worked out. He was glad that his new friend
had to stay in shape for all that dancing.
The other guys stood, oblivious to the extra attention Lance and
Tiernan were paying each other. They started for the side door immediately,
happy to finally be on their way to get some food. Lance and Tiernan brought
up the rear, eyeing each other and making small talk. They all quickly got
into JC's rented van and headed out to the restaurant. The trip went
quickly, and a few scattered conversations popped up now and then in the
companionable silence.
The group arrived at the restaurant relatively quietly, and where able
to get seated without much hassle. Fortunately, their fishing hats and
sunglasses were enough to mask their identities. Small talk was made through
lunch, nothing of any real substance until the band started to ask about
Tiernan's role on the show.
"I play Jack McPhee's new lover."
Four sets of astonished eyes all turned to regard him in four
surprisingly different ways. Chris merely shrugged his shoulders and
considered it just a part of the job. JC looked a little pale, like the
whole idea kind of freaked him out a little. Justin suddenly went
introspective, possibly wondering about Tiernan and Lance earlier, when
suddenly Joey burst out with a flurry of questions.
"Does that freak you out at all? You know, making out with a guy?"
"A little."
"A little! Do you just try to think your kissing a girl?"
"That's a bit tough, considering you can feel his hands on you, not to
mention the slight stubble brushing against your face. Besides its not that
he's a guy, it's that he's a guy I don't really know all that well. We're
getting to know each other, but the first day I met him I had to make out
with him."
At Tiernan's explanation everyone went quiet. He looked around to see
five sets of astonished eyes looking at him. He flashed them his most
charismatic smile and hoped the the guys were going to deal with this well.
"I'm gay. I hope that doesn't bother any of you..."
