Chapter 1

"Last call for alcohol!" The words sounded through the bar at a mere 1:30 in
the morning. Unfortunately, No one was ready to quit drinking, and I was
definitely not ready to stop serving them. Everyone was closing out their tabs
and discussing what to do after the bar. My bar stays open until 6 a.m., but
the alcohol stopped flowing at 1:30. I still had a good crowd that stuck around
for a few hours though. Let me give you a little bit of history on me. My
name is Riley Tucker, and I own a bar/coffee house in downtown Baltimore. It
is called Temptations. My dad is the CEO of a corporate real estate company
that sells and owns properties all over the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. He sort
if handed the property over to me when I finished school, and told me I could
do whatever I want with it. That was a year ago. Temptations is now one of
the hottest bars to be seen at in the Baltimore/Washington area.

"Dory," I called to one of my managers and my closest friend. "I'm heading
to bed. You crashing with me tonight?"

"Of course. Don't get any ideas though. Chance would kill you. What time
are we heading to D.C. tomorrow?"

"I was thinking around 3. Ciao." With that, I took the private elevator
upstairs. I live on the second floor of the warehouse. My good friend Peter is
an architect, and he designed the place for me. I fell asleep as soon as I
hit the bed.
The next morning I awoke up around 11. That didn't give me much time to get
ready before I had to meet my parents for lunch. I was very close with my
parents. I saw them at least three times a week and called them every day. I
did my morning routine of showering and shaving and picked out a cute outfit for
the day. When I was all finished, I admired myself in the mirror. I was 6'2
with blonde hair and blue eyes. I had a slim, but muscular physique. I
definitely didn't have a problem finding dates. Before I headed out, I woke up
Dory and told her that I would be back in two hours. I met my parents at a nice
restaurant at the Harbor. We did the usual small talk, gave them my updated
business plan for the week, and they told me about some party they were
attending later tonight. I got back to my place at around 2, and picked up two
lattes from downstairs before I met Dory.

"Good morning Sexy!" I said as I plopped the latte down on the vanity while
she was doing her hair. "Skim with two splendas."

"Perfect as always. Were they busy down stairs?"

"Usual for a Friday afternoon. I am sure it will pick up later. Nothing to
worry about though. Let's go shopping." With that we took another private
elevator down to the garage. We took the escalade out today headed to Tyson's
Galleria to do some shopping. We got there around 3:30. We went shopping
together for a little bit. After getting tired of arguing what stores we wanted
to go to, we decided to split up and meet in a hour. A got a few new outfits
and a new pair of Chanel sunglasses. We were supposed to meet up at Saks to go
shoe shopping, but I got stood up. I bought two new pairs of shoes then
called Dory.

"Hello?" She asked innocently.

"Did you forget something?" I asked somewhat irritated.

"Yea, about that, Meet me at the Lacoste boutique." She didn't even say bye
when she hung up on me. I dropped of the bags I had at the car and went to
meet Dory. As I was walking up, I could see her talking to two guys wearing
hats and sunglasses. One had longer darker hair while the other had a short
haircut. They both looked slender and very cute.

"Thanks for ditching me girl." I interrupted their conversation.

"It was my fault." The guy with the long hair spoke up. "I ran into her, and
made her drop all of her bags. Then, we got caught up in a conversation." He
looked genuinely sorry.

"It's all good. I was just giving her a hard time. I'm Riley." I reached my
hand out and shook his hand.

"I'm JC, and this is Justin." After shaking JC's hand, I reached out to
shake Justin's. As I made eye contact with Justin, I made the connection of
who they were.

"Nice to meet you………….Um Nice to meet you." Justin stated again.

"Sorry, blonde moment. Nice to meet you as well." I made eye contact with
Justin again and I saw him smile. I smiled back at him.

"We were just asking your friend if she wanted to go have dinner and drinks
with us."

"I'm game." I said as I shrugged my shoulders and looked at Dory

"Me too." She said as she gave me a small wink. I knew she was up to no
good. Dory tends to "date" a lot of guys. She leads them on for a few weeks,
then she moves on to the next one. We all decided to go to Cheescake Factory.
JC and Dory led the way with Justin and I following behind them.

"So, what brings you guys out here?" I asked looking into Justin's eyes. He
smiled, and I instantly mirrored that smile.

"Smiles are contagious." Justin said quietly.

"Especially yours." I flirted. I know I was taking a chance, but we did make
eye contact three times already.

"JC's parents live in Baltimore, and we decided to take a little vacation.
Where do you live?" Justin asked.

"I live on the Harbor in Baltimore. Don't you live in L.A.?" I prodded.

"You know who I am?" He joked.

During dinner, Justin and I definitely made a connection. We talked about
everything from our favorite movies to our family. After we paid our bill, we
headed back out towards the mall. We all got somewhat quiet. I definitely
didn't want this night to end.

"Do you guys want to meet us out later? Justin and I were going to head out
to this new club called Temptations. It's supposed to be really cool." JC
asked us.

"I'm sorry guys but we have to work. Sorry." Dory told JC as she winked at
me.

"That's alright. Let's at least exchange numbers so we can meet up again
soon."

With that, we were all out in the parking lot. JC leaned and kissed Dory.
They obviously got along. Justin leaned in and gave me a hug.

"Thank you for making me feel like a real person again." Justin whispered
into my ear.

Dory and I headed back home.

"That was amazing." Dory whispered.

"You stole the words right out of my mouth."

"So, What's going on with you and Justin?" Dory questioned.

"I'm still sorting that out. We'll see." I answered.

"At least he isn't after your dad's money." That joke hit a little to close
to home. My last boyfriend was an ass. He dated me for two years just to move
up in my dad's company. He messed up in this big proposal, and my dad fired
him. He never even said goodbye. "You never know. He could be another Korey.
 What about Chase?"

"What about him? He's the one that wanted a break. Now we are on a
permanent one." We got home around 9. We both took our time to get ready and have a
few drinks before we headed downstairs to greet out guests. "Are you ready"

"Not really, but what choice do I have?" I posed back at her. We got a call
from security telling us our guests had arrived. We waited a few minutes and
then had JC and Justin escorted to the private lounge so they could meet the
owner and the manager.

"Hey!" Justin said as we entered the lounge. "I thought you guys were
working."

"We are." Replied Dory "You're looking at the manager at the owner."

"That's hot." JC replied as he closed the distance between the two.

"You miss me?" I asked as I approached Justin. He was wearing a pair of
tight fitting jeans with a black sleeveless shirt. We made eye contact while I
walked towards him. We both broke out in big grins.

"Of course I did. Who else can me smile like that?"

"Probably a million girls." I replied smugly. I didn't give Justin a chance
to respond. I dragged him to the bar and made us our first round of drinks.
We had a private room overlooking the rest of the bar. It was very busy. "You
can go out there and dance if you want."

"Only if you go with me." Justin pleaded.

"If I go out there, all the ass kissers will prey on me, and I won't get a
chance to dance."

"Then, I am staying here with you. I can dance any time." Throughout the
night, all of us stayed in the room talking and hanging out with one of us
taking a turn on the bar when it was time for another round. Dory and JC headed
out to the dance floor leaving Justin and I alone for a little while. "I'm still
trying to figure you out." Justin admitted to me. "You have so many walls up,
and you won't let anyone in for even a second."

"Why should I let my walls down Justin?" I replied coolly.

"Me." Justin stated as he placed his hand over mine. He slowly leaned
towards me. Before he could get too close, Dory and JC burst through the door.
Justin backed away, but he kept his hand over mine.

"Hey guys!" JC slurred obviously drunk.

"You guys are more than welcome to come hang out upstairs and crash for the
evening." I proposed to JC and Justin.

"We couldn't want to be a bother." Justin started.

"Please," I whispered to Justin "I just want to talk some more."

That was the only thing I really needed to say to get them to stay the night.
I took them upstairs in one of my private elevators. I gave them the grand
tour of my modern home and retrieved us all some more drinks.

"Hey," I interrupted as Justin and Dory were discussing me. "You want to come
up stairs and have a cigarette with me on the roof?"

"I don't smoke." Justin shot back with a big grin.

"Well, you can keep me company while I do." I didn't give Justin a chance to
respond before I pulled him off the couch by his hand and led him to the
elevator. When we got in the elevator, I tried to break my hand free from
Justin's grip, but he wouldn't let me. "Are you keeping my hand captive?" I asked
with a raised eyebrow.

"Do you really mind?" Justin shot back. "I really like your place. You've
done very well with the club and your house.

"Thank you. It's really nice…" I broke off.

"But…." Justin put in there.

"But it's a lonely life. I have Dory and a few other friends, but it's not
enough."

"You don't have to tell me that." Justin said as I lighted my cigarette. We
sat next to each other on the edge of my building with our feet dangling
towards the parking lot. The last people were still in the process of getting
kicked out, and the parking lot was emptying out. We just sat there in silence
for a little while holding hands and enjoying each other's company. "I feel so
comfortable with you." Justin whispered in my ear before he placed the softest
kiss on my neck.

"It's almost too good to be true." I replied back. "It always is."

"What does that mean?" Justin innocently inquired while he placed his head in
the crook of my neck.

"This is great now." I replied. "But Justin, Where will I be in week after
your gone?" Justin was silent, and I grew agitated. I hastily got up and
headed towards the elevator. "No answer. Exactly what I thought would happen."
Before I got to the elevator, I felt Justin pull me back by my arm.

"Hey Riley, Don't take whatever is eating you up out on me." I turned around
to face him. "I'm not sure what's going on between us, but I'm not going to
let you walk away that easily." Justin closed the distance between us, and our
lips met passionately. We stayed locked like that for a moment before he broke
the kiss. "Wow." Justin said with a grin while he tried to read my
expression.

A huge grin spread across my face. "Wow is right." This time it was me who
hungrily seeked out his lips. I parted my mouth for his tongue, and our
innocent kiss turned into a wild fire. "Let's go say goodnight to Dory and JC." I
said after breaking the kiss. We took the elevator downstairs to see JC and
Dory asleep on the couch cuddled up to one another. "Let's not wake them." I
whispered to Justin as I led him to my room.

"Do you have any spare pajamas?" Justin asked innocently. I rummaged through
my closet until I found him a pair of pajama pants and t-shirt. Justin
changed into the pajama pants, but remained shirtless. I turned off the light and
stripped to my boxer briefs and crawled into bed.

"You coming in or waiting for an invitation?" I asked Justin curiously. I
didn't have to wait for a response, because Justin jumped on me and began
spreading soft kisses all over my neck. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled his
body closer to mine. "I'm glad I met you." I whispered softly to Justin.
Justin replied my kissing me passionately on the lips.

"Ditto." Justin mumbled into my lips. I don't remember much after that
because I was so exhausted, and I don't think I was conscience for very long.
