He loved Dani, but it was too hard. His feelings for another were growing stronger, and the time he spent away from Dani only made it worse. Not knowing what to do, he frowned on the outside as well, and went back to listening and waiting. He was startled when ever he felt a tap from Joey on his shoulder. Looking up, he found a smile. Slipping off his head phones he motioned for Joey to take a seat next to him. "You still bummed about leaving Dani?" "A little, but not so much." Chris replied, fumbling with his fingers. "Well, don't worry. You both love each other, you can pull through it. You've been through so many tours she must be use to it by now." Joey smiled, and laughed. Chris managed to use a fake love, if only Joey knew what he was really thinking. He no longer had a love for Dani, no longer a reason to see her. But at the same time, he couldn't admit his new love, it would hurt him too much, not too mention his friends pain in the process. "Your right Joe, we can make it through." Chris smiled, and nodded. "Is everybody else asleep?" Deciding to change the topic at hand, he picked an easier one for them both. "Yeah, Justin and JC look so peaceful. Justin has his head on Josh's shoulder, and Josh has his head on Justin's." Joey cooed, and Chris smiled, once again a fake smile. "They are lucky to have each other, they make such a perfect couple." "They do, don't they?" Chris shook himself for asking such a stupid question. "You bet they do. I mean, Justin needs him. Josh is like everything to him, a mother, father, brother, lover, and a best friend. And although Josh doesn't act like it around us, I can tell that he needs Justin just as much as he needs him. But I don't know what they would do without each other, it's kinda freaky to even think about it." Joey laughed uncomfortably, he was rambling on and on about the couple. He knew he must have sounded like a deranged fan, but it was true. "Well, I think Lance and Brittney are just as cute." Chris replied, pointing towads the couple. Brittney had her head resting on Lance's shoulder, while Lance had his arms wrapped around her. His head resting on his own shoulder. "They have been together for a while now, I'm surprised they aren't together yet." "You could say the same about you and Dani. I mean, it's been over a year now, and you two haven't tied the knot." Joey joked, but Chris did not take it seriously. He couldn't tell Joey he didn't like Dani anymore, because Joey would question why. And he wasn't sure he could tell anyone. His love for another would tear the group apart, and he couldn't handle that. Not while they were on tour at least. "Maybe we will soon. Ya never know." Chris managed to lie quickly, happy with himself that he didn't let anything slip. "So, you ready for the tour?" "Nope, we have a lot of new shit to do this time. And as soon as we land in New York we get a little sleep and then we have to do Rosie O'Donnel and TRL." Chris complained, rubbing his forehead. "It sucks, but that's what we get for being famous. We don't get any down time to relax. But look on the bright side, at least we don't have it as bad as Justin and Josh. If it ever got out that they were dating, it could ruin there careers." Chris frowned again realizing his problem was just as big as that. "I guess your right, we do have it a lot better off then they do." Chris lied, and yawned. "I think I'm gonna get some sleep Joe. So if you would mind giving me back my seat." Joey smiled, and nodded. Standing he made his way back to his seat. Chris knew sleeping would be hard for him, he would have to get over the fact that he couldn't have the one he wanted. As long as you stay on the bus. Then we head to Rosie's for a taping of her show that will air later this month. Once you are done with that you can do anything you want for the night, but I suggest you get some more sleep after that, because tomorrow we have rehearsals at 5:30." Everyone flinched at the mention of everything that had to do with in a twenty four hour time period. Although Christina seemed happy, the PR was a very handsome, tall, and blond haired man. "The bus is waiting, so go ahead and get comfortable." One by one they all made there way onto the bus. Justin was last, groggily following Josh to the bunks. Josh smiled, and looked at Justin. "Top or bottom bunk?" "Mhgghgh" Justin mumbled a incomprehensible word, and stood waiting for Josh to make a decision. Josh chose top, and helped Justin up into the bunk. Justin rolled all the way over and waited. Josh jumped in, and shut the curtain. Moving over he wrapped his arms around Justin, only to find that he was already asleep. Grinning, he pulled the covers over them, and settled in for a few more hours of sleep. ____________________________________________________________________________ "Get up you two!" Christina screamed as she ripped back the curtain to wake Justin and Josh. They had slept peacefully for four and a half hours, but times was coming quick for them to head to Rosie's studio for the taping of the show. Josh rolled over and looked at her with anger. "Jesus, now I know why we used to call you Scream." He mumbled, as he rolled back over. "Seriously Josh, get up. You and Justin have got to get ready." Christina was almost begging, she hated to be late, and she certainly didn't want it to be because the gay couple slept in. "Fine, I'm up." Josh said, groaning as he leaned forward into a sitting position. Shaking Justin, it didn't take long before the younger man was up. Justin had really been awake the whole time, his head still aching from Christin's yell. "Me too." Justin muttered, and looked around. He too let out a groan, but not from being awake, but the fact that it was quite bright outside. "Damn it got sunny!" Justin exclaimed, and was wacked softly on the shoulder. "Don't swear." Josh warned, and Justin frowned. "Sorry." He muttered, as he watched Josh get out of the bunk. Slowly he followed his lead, and jumped out into the main compartment of the bus. "Welcome to home for three consecutive months of touring. No getting off, no breaks, no vacation, just a one way trip from hell to hell." Justin teased, as he looked around the bus. Looking back he could make out Joey, Brittney, Lance, and Chris all sitting in the living area of the bus, while Christina was talking to the PR in the front, discussing plans for the tour. Justin smiled, it was obvious she had a crush on the man. He reminded himself to ask her about it later, but at that moment he had to get ready. Rosie O'Donnel shouted as the eyes of the audience fell on the make-shit stage. Soon the studio was filled with the sounds of 'Bye, Bye Bye'. The song played halfway through before becoming 'Oops I did it Again' and finally ending with a version of 'Come on Over' where the guys played love sick puppies to Brittney and Christina. The crowd cheered loudly, while Rosie made her way to meet them at the seats. After everyone was given a hug they took there seats. Brittney and Lance sitting together, but Justin and JC seperated by Christina. "Well it's been a while since any of you have stopped by. I'm a little mad about that. Care to explain yourselves?" Rosie asked in mock sarcasm. "Um, it's been really tight lately. I mean, we finished up the original tour for the cd, and then got about a two week vacation. And tomorrow we start the second tour for the cd." Joey complained, giving Rosie puppy dog eyes. "Don't be angwy." Joey used a child like voice and got a good crowd reaction. "Well that doesn't explain the two divas on stage." Rosie caved in, giving mock looks of anger towards Brittney and Christina. "We had our tours to concentrate on too, and then we were given time to break as well. And we used that time just to hang out with friends." Christina answered for herself and Brittney. "Okay, so why are you guys touring together? You are all big enough to fill arenas yourselves, so why together?" "Um, I think it was management's idea actually. The fans get what they want, we get cash for doing it, and we get to hang out with our friends." JC answered this question, and smiled at Rosie. "Any one in the group occupied by a signicant other?" Rosie inquired looking at two in particular. "Like you two?" Rosie hinted as she looked at Justin and Brittney. They weren't even sitting next to each other and yet it was assumed they were dating. "Nope, I'm dating Lance." Brittney smiled and let Lance wrap an arm around her. "And we are very happy together." "I'm still dating Dani, but you guys don't know her, she ain't famous like us." Chris teased. "Is that all, no one else snatched up yet, cuz I couldn't imagine any lucky young lady turning down you three. And no man in his wildest dreams would turn away Christina." Rosie laughed, and waited for answers. "I've got a special somebody." Josh let out, smiling. "Me too, but you guys don't know her. Like Chris', she ain't famous." Justin answered too. Josh gave him a smile, and they winked at each other. "But other then that, yeah me and Joey are still single. Although I have my eyes on this guy, he doesn't know it yet, but he'll be mine." Christina laughed, and her friends on stage knew exactly who she was talking about. "What's his name?" Rosie insisted on knowing. "I'll just tell you he works with us on tour, but he is not famous. He is not a singer, nor does he play in a band." Christina confided in the audience, Rosie, and her friends who already knew that. "I guess I'm not getting anything out of you. But I'm not threw with this topic. I'm sure Justin and Joshua wouldn't mind giving us the names of there sweethearts." Rosie batted her eyes, and waited. "Um, Jocelyn, my girfriends name is Jocelyn." Justin spoke up, thinking of the closet girl name to Josh he could. Josh gave him a look of worry, because he didn't have that easy of a name to work with. "Josh is dating Jessica, they are actually friends. So it's pretty cool, because we get to hang out together." Justin watched Josh's look of nervousness fade. "See that wasn't so hard" Rosie laughed, and looked at the group. "Well I want to thank all of you for coming, and be sure to come back quickly. You aren't going to get away from me for so long the next time." Rosie stood and after hugs went all around the group of singers were standing with Rosie in the hallway as a commercial rolled. "Thanks for having us Rosie." Lance politely obliged the talk show host for everyone, like usual he was the only one to remember to do so. "It was my pleasure, you guys know your my favorite boy band. And how could I say no to the new pop divas." Rosie giggled, and looked at Justin and Josh. "Nice cover out there, Jocelyn and Jessica." Rosie nudged Justin, and Justin felt himself blush. Worry crept over the group as they wondered if Rosie knew who they were really dating. Sensing the worry, Rosie stopped laughing and got a sincere smile on her face. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Rosie laughed, as the guys faces returned to normal. "What secret?"
