Subject: (mm/boybands)  More Than Anything : Prelude : Chapter 1

Hi, this is my first time posting anything on here so hopefully I'm not
screwing anything up..  I've sent this story out to a bunch of *NSYNC
OneLists, which were for the most part, not gay and on most of the lists
had never had a story with a gay relationship in it.  I was surprised to
find a lot of good responses on it.  I started writing the story back in
September or October of last year, and I hadn't really written anything in
a long time, so my writing at first isn't the greatest.  I have inprove a
lot I think since then.  I'm still writing the story and it's far from over
I think, it's on chapter 50 now.  Anyway, the prelude isn't the kinda thing
you normally see on nifty but I wrote it to explain some things and
everything so I'm just gonna keep it there.  I came across the archives in
Febuary and I've read tons of awesome stories and I hope there will be some
people that will like mine.  Well anyway, I'll just get on with this :) If
you like it, or have any problems with it, please feel free to email me,

Oh, one more thing, I am a girl so obviously I'm not to knowledgeable in
this, but I try :) Oh and there is going to be sex, but not until chapter
11, I hope you can wait :)

On with the story!


Prelude

This story is all about love and relationships of *NSYNC, mainly Lance and
JC, and to fully understand it, you need to know some of the history of
their love lives. Remember, this is purely fiction and has nothing to do
with the members of *NSYNC's real love lives.

We will start with Lance, Lance has had girlfriends all his life, he's
always been a really friendly guy, but he's never truly been in love,
though he's been close a few times. He's never had a really serious
relationship, nothing looking toward marriage. He is bi-sexual, he realized
this when he was about 16, when he realized he was attracted to a male
schoolmate, nothing happened though, as the boy was straight. Lance's first
and only gay relationship was with Joey Fatone. It happened in the
beginning of *NSYNC, when they were struggling and when they were in
Europe. They were discreet with their relationship, only one other found
out, JC, and he's the only one that ever found out. They were great
friends, but then after their relationship ended, they drifted a little
more, JC was there to comfort Lance, and since then, they have been best
friends. Lance couldn't handle Joey's life, he was too flirty, Lance
couldn't trust him, he felt as if he'd get cheated on, Lance wanted more of
a commitment than Joey could give him. It also was very dangerous to be
together, they were always worried someone would find out, they were almost
found out once, and they couldn't have that happen, so they ended the
relationship. The only person Lance was with after Joey was Danielle
Fishel, he was with her until he found out she was using him, that was the
only relationship that got publicized, he wanted to keep it secret at
first, but Danielle announced they were going out and flaunted it to
everyone, she used him for his status, his fame, his money, so he broke it
off with her. He just wanted to find the right one he could settle down
with, he would have to worry about getting hurt, or betrayed, he just
wanted to find "the one" and be happy.

Next is JC, JC has a girlfriend as the story begins, her name is Stacy,
you'll find out more about her in the story. JC doesn't love her though, he
is gay, he likes her as a friend, but that's it, he didn't want to, but he
was with her for the need to be with someone, people were suspicious why
he'd been single for so long, so when she asked him out, he went for it, he
knew she was probably cheating on him, but he kept it on so it looked good,
neither cared. JC had had a few gay relationships when he was younger, but
nothing serious. He wanted to get serious though, there was one person whom
he loves with all his heart... Lance.

Then is Joey, as everyone knows, Joey is the flirt of the group. He wasn't
as bad as he seemed but he'd been with many women and a few men. A few
serious, but nothing ever lasted too long, that was until he met a girl
names Nina. They met at an *NSYNC concert last fall. Nina was a big *NSYNC
fan and won meet and greet passes off the internet, she had submitted a fan
fiction story about them and her story won. They didn't really hit it off
when they met, they seems to be total opposites, Nina didn't say a lot,
which intrigued Joey, he was interested in her, there was just something
about her that he like and he wanted to get to know her more, and that he
did. He was happy to find out that she lived in Florida, he called her
almost everyday while on tour and when he came back home, they got
together, they've been together since. It's been the first time he'd been
committed and faithful to a girl.

Justin was dating Britney Spears, again, they've been dating on and off for
years, none of them really liked Britney, they just acted like they did in
public, as to not start rumors, but they really couldn't stand her. Justin
was always different when he was with Britney, she was so manipulative, she
could get him to do just about anything, it was really hard on the guys,
cuz they were all really good friends with him, especially Lance, even
though sometimes Lance could get jealous of him because Justin seemed to be
just perfect, but the two were great friends, he got along with everyone,
well unless Britney was around.

Chris had a girlfriend for over 2 years, her name was Becky, and they were
doing great, everyone liked her, she was really nice and was like a big
sister to all the guys, a total opposite of Britney.

Chris and Justin were both straight, Joey was kinda openly bi, he never
actually talked to anyone about it, but they saw him with boyfriends and ya
never know with Joey, so assume everything. Only close, trustworthy family
and friends knew JC was gay, all the guys did, and his close family and a
few friends from home, but that was it. The only one that knew that Lance
was bi was Joey.

When this story starts, its May of 2000.*NSYNC was on a well deserved month
long break before they toured for the summer. After settling their legal
problems, their third album "No Strings Attached" was released 3 months
prior. Justin and Joey were staying at their homes in Orlando while Chris
went home to PA and Lance was staying in his new house, and JC was staying
with him.




Chapter 1

"I'm home!" shouted Lance as he walked into his house. It was 5 p.m., the
3rd day of their break. He was surprised it was so quiet. "He must be
sleeping." he thought. Lance walked up the stairs and peeped through the
door of his best friends bedroom. There he saw JC asleep with a smile on
his face. "Looks like a good dream." Quietly he shut the door and walked
downstairs.

JC was staying with Lance over their break, he told Lance he didn't want to
be alone and would like to spend the time with him. Lance just figured JC
felt bad for him, he was depressed a lot lately. All the guys had
girlfriends, and Lance was alone.

Lance plopped down on the couch and started to flip through a magazine as
he heard the muffled sound of JC's cell-phone ringing. He heard commotion
upstairs and then a loud thud. Lance ran upstairs to make sure JC was
ok. JC got up off the floor and picked up the phone and groggily said
hello.

"Yo JC wazup?" asked Justin.

"Oh nothing, I was just SLEEPING!" JC replied, obviously annoyed.

"Oh, well I just called to say I aint gonna be commin up like I was gonna,
Brit's havin more "knee surgery" if ya know whats I mean and she's not
spose to be up and about, so wes just gonna chill at my pad nstead." Trying
to hide his happiness, JC told him that was too bad, he'd miss him and to
say good luck to Britney for him. As JC hung up the phone Lance walked in.

"You ok Josh? I heard you fall, it didn't sound like it felt too good."
Lance said with a general look of concern.

"Yeah, I'm ok, I just wacked my thigh pretty hard on that table
though. said JC as he winced in pain as he lifted his leg back on the bed.

"Let me check that out." Lance said as he walked over to him. As Lance was
observing his black and blue JC told him who called. "Good" Lance said
relieved, "I didn't really wanna see that skank anyway."

JC smiled, "Me neither, and now we can spend more time together, do some
male bonding stuff."

"Yeah." chuckled Lance in that deep southern voice that drove the girls
wild, as he walked to the bathroom to get some medicine for JC. He came
back with some cream he had bought off and infomercial one sleepless night.

JC gave him a funny look, "What's that?!"

"It'll make it feel better and the bruise not so bad." He walked over to
JC. "'ll be careful to not touch it too hard." JC was a baby when it came
to pain, Lance knew that. Prepared for the worst, JC closed his eyes tight
as Lance dabbed come of the cream on his thigh. "It'll be ok Josh! It's not
gonna hurt! he said as he slowly and carefully started to run the cream
in. JC wasn't paying attention to how much his leg hurt, he was
concentration on how Lance's hands felt on him. He sucked in a quick breath
as Lance pushed up the leg of his boxers to access more of the large
bruise.

"Oh, sorry." Lance said, thinking he hurt JC.

"It's ok." muttered JC as Lance finished up rubbing it all in. JC was
enjoying the sensations running through his body by the touch of his
friend. "Come on man, He's your best friend, and you have a girlfriend!" JC
said to himself, trying to convince himself he didn't feel anything,
knowing fully he had feelings for Lance, he had for a while, but didn't
dare tell a soul.

As Lance pulled the leg of JC's boxers back down, he accidentally brushed
his hand up against JC's `manhood'. JC let out a quiet moan. Neither
knowing what to say, Lance went and put the cream away. As Lance walked
away he thought about what just happened, it seemed kinda weird
somehow. When he was taking care of JC, he had this feeling going through
him, he didn't know what it was or why it was there, but he knew it felt
right taking care of JC. "He's my best friend." He thought, as he shrugged
it off.
