Subject: Nick Lachey: My Everything-37

Hey all, I'm back and still writing the story. it's
getting harder and harder to write and make sense out
of it considering some of the choices I've made in the
story.

Oh, and I'm going to try to write it with different
scenes in each chapter so we can all see what's going
on with the other characters, rather then from Sean's
point of view.


First of all, let me just say that this is my first
time writing any kind of fiction like this.

DISCLAIMER: This is a work of total fiction and is not
meant to imply anything about the sexualities of Nick
and Drew Lachey or anyone else mentioned in this
story.

If you are too young to read this, or if Homosexuality
offends you, then please don't continue any further
and leave.

Drew was still standing there, looking at Nick. Nick
noticed.

"What's wrong, Drew?" Nick asked him.

Drew gave Nick a look that Nick knew very well. Nick
answered for Drew before he could say anything.

"Ok, Drew, I know that look and I'm telling you I'm
fine, ok?" Nick said.

Drew studied Nick's face for a minute and then nodded.

"Ok." He said. "Now I"m going to go upstairs and go to
sleep in my bed. Goodnight, Nick."

"Goodnight, Drew." Nick replied.

He watched Drew go upstairs and then sat up and ran
his hand through his hair. Then feeling thirsty, he
reached over to grab his glass of water and as he did,
his eyes fell on Sean's wedding ring, which was
sitting on the table, near his glass.

Nick picked it up and looked at the engraved message
inside Sean's ring.

Sean Perry Lachey: "My Everything"

As Nick looked at the engraved inscription, he got a
very intense look on his face.

IN JEFF'S ROOM........

"Do you have any idea how much I love you right now?"
Jeff said to Danny, as they were snuggling up to each
other.

Danny smiled, hearing Jeff's words. He couldn't have
felt happier than he did at that very moment.

"I know, Jeff." He said. "And I love you too." I just
can't believe I was such a fool not to see and deal
with it sooner."

"That doesn't matter now." Jeff said, stroking Danny's
cheek with his thumb and forefinger. "What matters is
that you love me now and I'm finally the happiest man
in the world."

"Me too." Danny said, as his eyes connected with
Jeff's.

Danny and Jeff started to lean in to each other to
share a kiss, but was interrupted by Drew screaming.

"Guys! Come down here, quick!"

"What the hell?" Jeff exclaimed, he and Danny jumping
out of the bed and running down the stairs. Kandi and
Justin were right behind them as they got to the
bottom of the stairs to see Drew looking panic
stricken.

"What's wrong, Drew?" Danny asked him.

Drew looked at everyone his face white as a ghost and
managed to blurt out the words.

"Nick,s gone!"



CHAPTER 37
**********

"What?" Justin asked in disbelief. "What do you mean
Nick's gone?"

Drew put a hand to his forehead, indicating that he
felt really stupid for leaving Nick alone.

"I mean, I just left this room 5 minutes ago and came
upstairs to brush my teeth and head to bed, until I
decided that I'd check on Nick one more time before I
headed to bed." Drew explained. "That's when I
realized that he was gone. He obviously left the
house."

"But where would he go?" Kandi asked, sounding
worried.

"I don't know." Drew said. "But in his frame of mind,
my god, he shouldn't be alone. Not right now."

Drew was starting to panic, and everyone else around
him wasn't that far behind him. They were all worried
about Nick and could understand what he was going
through. They'd all suffered the same loss.

They also knew that when someone was in that state of
mind, you never knew what that person would do. And
that thought had them all scared. They had to find
Nick before he got into trouble. Or worse.

"Alright, that does it." Jeff said, turning to all of
the guys. "Let's get dressed and look for him."

"That's a good idea, baby." Danny said, then asked.

"Do you guys have any idea where he could have gone?"

Everone frowned and thought hard for a second trying
to figure out where Nick would go at this hour.

"Oh my god." Drew suddenly said. "I think I know where
he went."

"Where?" Danny wanted to know.

"I'll explain on the way." Drew told everyone. "Right
now, let's get dressed and out of here."

With that Drew ran upstairs to get dressed. A few
seconds later, Everone else ran upstairs to get
dressed too.

THE CRASH SITE.....................

Nick pulled his car to the side of the road and shut
off the engine. He opened the door and got out out,
then shut the car door behind him.

He stood by the car for a second, looking over at the
place where the crash had been.

The car and the truck were both gone now, since the
fire squad, as well as the city tow trucks had towed
the car and the truck away. But the debris was still
there.

With tears streaming down his face, Nick started
walking towards the spot where the car and truck had
been. When he got there, he knelt down at the spot
where the car exploded.

"Oh Sean." Nick sobbed. "How am I going to get through
this?" He asked. "How do I go on without you?"

Nick was at a loss for words as he sat there and
buried his head into his hands. After he calmed down a
little bit, he continued pouring his heart out.

"Sean, If you're listening, I want you to know that I
love you and I always will." Nick said, looking up at
the sky. "I know that you're in a better place now and
that God is taking care of you and you're probably
happy. But there's something else I want you to
know.....

Here, Nick stopped and took a deep breath, trying to
control all the emotions that he was feeling at that
moment. then he spoke the words that Sean would have
wanted to hear.

"I want you to know that I forgive you." Nick finished
before he broke down again.

BACK AT NICK'S HOUSE...........

Everyone rushed down the stair, dressed and ready to
go. Well almost Everyone.

"Hey, where's Drew?" Kandi asked.

"I'm right here, Kandi." Drew said from the stairs. "I
just got down here."

"Ok, so we're all here now." Justin announced. "Now,
Drew, where do you think Nick could have gone?"

Drew looked at everone, his face all serious.

"I have a feeling he went back to the crash site."
Drew said.

"Why would he do that?" Kandi asked. "Why would he
want to prolong the agony?"

"Maybe because it makes him feel closer to Sean." Jeff
pointed out. "After all, it is the last place he was
when he........"

Jeff couldn't finish the sentence. He started getting
emotional.

"Hey, hey, it's alright, Jeff." Danny said, pulling
Jeff into his arms. Jeff held onto Danny tight as he
started to cry.

Just the fact that Jeff was in pain too,  made it hard
for Danny not to cry with him.

Everyone couldn't help but share their pain. But then
Drew forced himself to fight off the tears that were
threatening to come.

"Alright guys, let's get going." He said. "We have to
find Nick."

Danny released Jeff and they both wiped the tears off
their faces, and turned to Drew.

"Alright. Lead the way, buddy." Jeff suggested.

Drew turned and opened the door, with everone else
right behind him.

As soon as they were all out, Drew shut the door and
locked it behind him.

*******************************************************

BACK AT THE CRASH SITE..................

Nick was still knelt down at the spot where the crash
happened. he was still speaking.

"Sean, our relationship has survived so much." Nick
said to thin air. "My treatment of you back in New
York when I found out you were gay. Finding out you
had been raped and were at risk at getting STD's. My
anger at you when you turned down my marriage
proposal. and of course, my affair with Matt
Sheffield."

Nick smiled when he came to the best part.

"But then you forgave me and we got back together. Our
love was stronger than ever." Nick gushed. "At that
time, I didn't think that anything could ever separate
us again........

Nick stopped, his emotions starting to come back from
what he had to say to finish his sentence.

"Until tonight." Nick finished, tearing up again.
"Tonight when you said you made a mistake marrying me,
after I was such a jerk before. That hurt me so
terribly that I threw you out of the house without any
regard to your feelings."

Nick's tears gave way to sobs, but he continued.

"I will regret that." He sobbed. "Until the day I die
because I was so selfish! I let my anger and hurt
cloud my judgement, and because of that, I've lost you
for good! And I have no one to blame but myself!"

Nick looked up again through his tears at the sky and
continued through his sobs.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Baby." Nick sobbed. "I
wish I could have said goodbye."

Nick could not say anything more and sank down to the
ground and cried his heart out.

A few minutes later, Nick felt someone's hand on his
shoulder, squeezing it gently.

Nick looked up through his tears to see who it was.
When he did, his eyes widened.

"You?!"
