"Come on, I want to see some sweat," Devon yelled. He watched
carefully as Kevin, AJ, Nick, Brian and Howie worked through their routine.
"That means dance harder, not faster. Stay with the beat." Devon himself
sat at the foot of the stage, tapping out the rhythm with his finger. He
laughed to himself as he remembered his talk with Fatima earlier in the day.
"Be tough on them," she had instructed. "It's the only way you'll get any
work out of them."

"Nick, I know you have hips. Let's see them," Devon said with a
laugh.

"Yea Nick," Justin said from the side of the stage. "Let's see some
hips." He laughed a bit and then looked over at Devon.

"You just wait til I get to you guys," he said with a wicked grin.
"The hospital is gonna look like a paradise."

Two weeks had passed since everyone had been released from the
hospital. Most of the time they had spent in the hot tub, relaxing, or
shopping at the mall. Devon had been amazed that guys could possibly own so
many clothes. The had gotten him to buy a lot too, more than he thought he
would ever wear. When not relaxing, the guys were off doing their voice
training, or finishing the tracks for their CD. Devon on the other hand had
spent most of the time in the studio with Fatima, going over the changes he
wanted to make in a few of the dances and reworking the remixes. It was a
lot different from his old ballet company. He found he had more free time
than he knew what to do with. Most of it had been spent with Lance.

"OK guys, not too bad," he said with a smile. "You guys take a
break and make fun of N'Sync while they rehearse their numbers."

"Hey," Lance yelled from the side of the stage. Chris got up slowly
and hopped over to where Devon was sitting.

"I have a doctor's note excusing me from gym today," he said with a
smile as he pointed to his foot.

"Well, OK. I still want you to stretch a little though. When did
the doctor say you'd be able to do all the dancing again?"

"Well, I can stop wearing the cast in another week or so, just in
time for the first concert. But I can't really dance all out for another
couple of weeks after that."

"OK," Devon said, nodding his head. "I still want you to learn
these routines though. You're gonna have to jump into them as soon as you
can. As for now, you can sit with the backstreet boys and stretch." Then he
added
with a laugh, "You can make fun of them too."

"Yippy," Chris yelled. "I hear that Lance guy can't dance at all,"
he said jokingly, loud enough for Lance to hear.

"What is this? Pick on Lance day or something," Lance asked with a
pout as he kneeled in front of Devon.

"You know we love you," Devon said as he messed up Lance's hair.
"Now, get up there and dance!"

Lance hopped up happily and got into position next to JC. He heard
the intro to "Tearing Up My Heart" come on and jumped into his routine on
the right beat along with everyone else.

"Lance and Devon certainly have been spending a lot of time
together, haven't they," Howie said with a grin.

"Yes," Kevin replied a bit solemnly as he sipped his bottle of
water.

"What Kevin," Chris asked with his eyebrow raised.

"Huh? Oh it's nothing. I'm just wondering if they're going to be
starting a relationship. Other than a professional one that is."

"Well if Lance has his way I know they will," Chris said with a
grin. "That's all he ever talks about. It's getting quite nauseating,"
Chris said with a laugh.

"As long as it doesn't get in the way of work, I guess it's pretty
cool," Kevin finally said.

"Lance stay on the beat," Devon yelled from his position as Lance
caught up.

"I think he's a bit distracted," Brian said with a laugh.

Kevin sat where he was and looked down at the floor. 'That's what
I'm afraid of,' he thought to himself. He watched the rest of the rehearsal
before hopping up and stretching. He watched as Nick walked immediately up
to Justin with a towel and a bottle of water, just as they always did for
each other.

"Devon's even tougher than Fatima is," Justin said with a smile.

"Yea I know," Nick agreed. "But he's good too."

Justin nodded in agreement and walked over to the rest of the guys.
"I'm hungry," he whined.

"Well, did the drill sergeant say it was OK to go on a break," Chris
asked with a laugh.

"Yes he did," Devon said as he walked over. "You guys head over and
get some lunch. When you get back, we're just gonna work one more routine
for each group and then you're done for the day."

"Cool," AJ said as stretched his back.

"Aren't you gonna come to lunch with us," Lance asked as he saw
Devon start to walk away.

"Uh, yea OK," Devon replied. He was still trying to feel his way
around how far he should be personally involved with the guys during
rehearsals. 'They may want to talk about me behind my back,' he thought to
himself with a smile. "Let me just get my bag," he said as he walked
towards the foot of the stage. He grabbed his bag and then walked with
everyone else to the area where the food was set up.

"What's on the menu today," Joey asked as he took a tray. He piled
on some pasta, chicken, and cake. Devon stood by the side, watching
what everyone was putting on their plates and gasped.

"Oh my god," he said as he saw what AJ had put on his plate.

"What," AJ asked with a bit of a grin.

"I don't think I've ever seen people eat so much. This is enough to
feed a small country."

"We need to keep our energy up," Justin said with a smile.

"I would just like to make one point," Devon said. He pointed to
Kevin's plate. "Kevin is the only one who took any salad, which is probably
the healthiest thing up there." Kevin laughed a bit. "Of course, that
gallon of pudding he put in that bowl kind of balances that out."

"And what are you going to eat Mr. Healthy," Howie asked with a
smile on his face.

"Well let's see," Devon said as he glanced at all the trays. In the
end, he took a small salad with low fat dressing and a banana.

"Do you feel alright," Lance asked.

"I feel fine," Devon said with a laugh.

"How can you eat so little? We've been rehearsing for hours," Lance
said with a shocked expression on his face."

Devon laughed. "I'm used to eating light. I really can't eat much
more than this. I get full very fast."

"That's because you have no stomach," Brian said sarcastically.

"Well, I just watch what I eat, that's all. You guys should really
start doing that too," Devon told them. "But, I won't say anything more
about it. You guys eat whatever you want. As long as you don't get too fat
on me so you can't dance, I'll be happy."

"We are definitely getting you to eat," Lance said with a grin.
"We're taking you to an all you can eat buffet and we're not gonna leave for
hours."

"You're trying to kill me," Devon laughed out.

"Nope, just fatten you up a bit," Lance laughed back.

"Well, we'll just have to see what happens," Devon said as he took a
seat and started eating his salad.

"Yes we will," Lance said with a smile.

                                    *****

"Wasn't that fun," Devon said as everyone walked back to the rental
cars.

    "Oh yea," Howie said sarcastically.

"I hate dance rehearsals," Joey said. Then he glanced over at
Devon. "No offense."

"None taken," Devon said with a grin. "But you guys did do very
good. And I think you worked off the lunch pretty well."

"Thanks," Brian said with a grin. "So, what are we doing tonight?"

"Well, we have the night off, so whatever you want to do is cool,"
Kevin said with a grin.

"Let's go to a club," AJ said eagerly. "Come on, we haven't been to
a club in forever!"

"Well, I guess that would be OK. I know there are a few not too far
from the hotel," Kevin said.

"Then it's set. We'll go back to the hotel, get ready and then head
over to one," JC said. He walked closely behind Brian, hitting his hand
into Brian's with each step he took. Brian giggled lightly before finally
spinning behind JC and doing the same to him.

"Now wait a second here," Devon said. "I thought you guys didn't
like dancing."

"No, we don't like dance rehearsals," Nick said with a smile.
"There's a big difference. We love to actually dance."

"Oh, OK," Devon said with a grin. "I don't know if I have any
clothes with me that I can wear to a club."

"You can borrow something of mine," AJ said with a laugh. Devon
seemed hesitant. "Oh come on, I love dressing people up in my clothes! It
helps me feel like I'm not the only freak here."

Devon laughed loudly. "Well as long as you put it that way!"

                        *****

"Oh come on, let me see," Lance said. Devon had gotten some clothes
from AJ and immediately walked into the bathroom to get ready, not letting
Lance see what he had picked out. "I promise I won't laugh!"

"OK, close your eyes though," Devon said from the other side.

"OK, they're closed," Lance said as he squeezed his eyes shut.

He heard the bathroom door slowly creak open and then the faint
sound of a footfall on the plush carpet of the hotel room. "OK," he heard
Devon's voice say. "You can open up."

Lance opened his eyes slowly and stood shocked. Devon stood in
front of him wearing a pair of blue, shiny pleather pants and a white mesh
tank top. He had a few chains attached to the belt buckle of the pants and
he was wearing a pair of high black leather army boots. His hair was spiked
up and had been gelled when it was still damp with water, giving it a wet
look.

"Well, what do you think," Devon asked eagerly.

Lance couldn't even speak for a second. "You're beautiful," he
finally got out.

"Well, I wouldn't go that far," Devon said with a laugh. "But I do
like a lot of AJ's clothes. Some of them were a little too freaky for me to
wear, but other than that, he's got some nice stuff."

"So do you," Lance said under his breath. Then he blushed,
realizing that Devon had heard him.

"You look very nice too," Devon said as he examined what Lance was
wearing. It consisted of a pair of loose fitting blue jeans a long sleeve,
tight black sweater. Hid hair was spiked up as usual.

"Thanks," Lance said blushing. He continued to look at Devon and
breathed heavily. "You just look so amazing."

Devon blushed a bright red and then playfully slapped Lance's arm.
"Stop it. I'll be red all night," Devon said with a grin.

"OK," Lance said. Devon turned around to walk out the door. Lance
whistled wildly. Devon stopped and turned around. "And no watching my
ass," Devon said with a grin.

"Yea, whatever," Lance said as he ran out the door into the hall.

"And here they are now," Kevin said as he saw Lance and Devon
exiting the room. "Wow," he said as he saw Devon.

"Devon you look great," Britney said with a huge smile.

"Yep, told you he'd look good in my clothes," AJ said with a laugh.

"Thanks for letting me borrow some. I'm gonna have to go shopping
with you sometime," Devon said with a grin. "Where do you find this stuff?"

"Oh, it'll be an adventure," AJ said. "I find stuff at the weirdest
places."

"Well, enough about clothes now," Joey said impatiently. "It's time
to get to the club."

"Where's Chris," Lance asked as he noticed his friend missing.

"He's gonna stay here and keep Fatima company," Kevin said. "He
didn't feel like going with the cast on his foot and all."

"Oh, OK," Lance said. "Well, let's get going then."

                        *****

"Could you believe that doorman," Nick said angrily. "Could he have
hit on Justin any more?"

"Are we a little jealous," Brian asked with a grin.

"We're a lot jealous," Nick said, his anger subsiding into a smile.
"I was gonna start singing 'Where My Girls At', but I thought it would be
too much."

"What's up with you and JC and that song," Brian said, shaking his
head.

"Oh come on, that song is great," Nick said with a smile.

Brian laughed a bit and walked over to where JC and Justin were
sitting. "So Justin, how's your new boyfriend?"

"Shut up," Justin laughed. "That guy was just freaky," Justin said.

"I agree. I'll go kill him. Be right back," Nick said as he jumped
up.

"Get back down here," Justin said as he grabbed his arm. He smiled
widely and gave Nick a quick kiss on the cheek, trying to be inconspicuous
as possible.

"Why thank you," Nick said with a smile. He ran his thumb up and
down Justin's arm and grinned.

"That guy at the door is a pain in the neck," Devon said as he
walked over to the table.

"What, he got you too," Justin asked, laughing.

"I thought he was going to try to jump down my pants right there or
something," he said with a grin. "Lance protected me though," he laughed
out.

Lance laughed loudly. "What, we're not engaged?"

"You told the doorman-" JC began. Lance nodded slowly and began to
laugh harder.

"It worked," Devon said, blushing red. "I know he'll be leaving me
alone for the rest of the night."

"I should've said that," Nick said, smacking himself in the head.
The guys laughed a bit and then began to look around.

"Anybody want a drink," Brian asked as he got up.

"Yea, get me a cranberry and vodka," JC requested.

    "I'll take a Jack Daniel's," Kevin said. "But just one. I don't
want to get too tipsy now."

"What about you guys," Brian asked, indicating Lance, Devon, Nick
and Justin. Then he laughed. "Oh that's right. You're all under
twenty-one."

"Yea, that really stops kids from drinking," Lance said with a laugh
as Brian walked away.

"How about some dancing," Nick said as he jumped up.

Justin groaned and stood up with him. "Just take it easy. Remember what
the doctor said."

"I know, I know," Nick said as he pulled Justin with him. "Now come
on."

"What about you, aren't you going to go dance," Lance asked Devon.

"Not right now. I'm just gonna chill here for a bit. You can go
dance if you want though," Devon replied.

"Nah, I never was one for the whole club scene," Lance said as he
looked at Devon's smooth face.

"Yea, I know what you mean," Devon replied. "I never really had any time
for it. I've been in ballet companies since I was twelve."

"You're an amazing dancer Devon. Do you ever miss performing like you
used
to," Lance asked, trying to keep a sincere tone to his voice while at the
same time, struggling to be heard above the music.

Devon thought for a second and then nodded. "Yea, I guess I do. But I
don't know if I could ever get back into the whole ballet company thing. I
like what I'm doing now too much. Maybe someday I'll choreograph Broadway
shows, but who knows. I'm not going to rule out performing in my future,
but for right now, I love what I'm doing."

"And we love having you do it," Lance said with a warm smile. He thought
for a moment. "What made you leave your last ballet company anyway?"

Devon sighed. "Well, there were a few reasons. There was a lot of
tension
from my associates because of the attention I was drawing to the company.
People don't like it if they're not in the spotlight all the time, so when
people started paying more attention to me, the other dancers started to get
jealous. Also, I had a few disagreements with the choreographer and
director. It just seemed like the time to leave and expand my horizons so
to speak. There's more, but I'd rather not-"

"Don't worry about it," Lance said, raising his hand. "We don't have to
talk about anything you don't want to discuss. I'm not here to badger you!"
Devon laughed a bit and then stood up. "Why don't we dance," he suggested.

"Alright by me," Lance said as he let Devon lead him to the dance floor.

Kevin walked back to the table just as Lance and Devon left. He watched
them go out onto the dance floor and begin. Devon always seemed to have the
right move for the music. He joked as Lance would fool around, dancing with
flailing limbs. Kevin shook his head and sat back in his seat.

"They're really happy, aren't they," Brian asked as he came back over to
the
table. He handed Kevin his drink and sat down next to him.

"Hey Brian. JC's still dancing," Kevin said, ignoring Brian's statement.

"Yea, I can see him from here," Brian said as he pointed over to where JC
was dancing with a group of other people. Brian looked carefully at his
cousin and sighed. "Out with it Kevin."

"Out with what," Kevin asked, looking up at Brian.

"With whatever's bothering you. And don't give me any of this, oh I'm
just
worried about the band business. I want the truth. Something's been
bothering you recently and I want to know what it is."

"It's nothing Brian, really," Kevin said. He took the drink Brian handed
him and began to swirl it around.

"That's the wrong answer," Brian said. "Now out with it."

Kevin shut his eyes and tried to block out the pulsating music that
surrounded him. "I want someone. I want to love someone and be loved by
someone in the same way. I want what Nick and Justin have, or you and JC,
or hell, even what Devon and Lance seem to have developing. Why can't I
ever find that?"

Brian thought for a moment and then looked at Kevin. "Honestly, I think
it's because you play our father's. you're always the one we run to for
help, you're the responsible one, the one who gets us out of all of our
messes. And we're quite a handful, I'll tell you that," Brian said with a
smile. "But you need to start worrying more about yourself and less about
us. We'll be alright Kevin. You need to make yourself happy though."

Kevin thought for a second. "Yea, I guess you're right," he said.
"Maybe I
should take some 'me' time every once in a while."

"Exactly. Kevin, the world goes on. We're big boys now. We can take
care
of our own messes," Brian explained.

Kevin smiled. "Well, that solves one problem. Now, where can I find
someone. It's nearly impossible when being in a band is a full time job."

"Don't' worry Kevin. We'll find you someone," Brian said as he put a hand
on Kevin's shoulder. Kevin smiled weakly and looked into his drink.

"Hey, what's going on," JC asked as he walked over, a bit sweaty from the
dance floor.

"Oh, it's nothing," Kevin said. "Why don't you two go dance? I'll save
the
table."

"You sure," Brian asked still a bit worried.

"I'm sure," Kevin replied with a smile. "You guys go and have fun."
Brian
shrugged and walked off with JC. Kevin took his drink in his hand and
downed it in one gulp. 'And so I'm alone again,' Kevin thought to himself.
"What the fuck am I doing?" He stood up slowly and walked over to the bar.
"Excuse me, could I get a shot of vodka?" The bartender gave him a funny
look, trying to figure out where he knew him from, but finally shrugged. he
poured him the shot and stood there as Kevin downed it. Kevin put the glass
back down and indicated to refill the glass. Kevin glanced up at the
bartender and sighed. "It's been a long day."

                            *****

"That club really sucked," Nick said as he unlocked the door to his and
Justin's hotel room. "I want to crawl right into bed and-" Justin brought
his hand up and slowly rubbed it up and down Nick's chest. Nick moaned a
bit. "I want to crawl right into bed and-" Justin lifted his head up and
began to nibble on Nick's ear. "Bed..." Nick muttered as he brought his
arms around Justin's waist and hugged him tightly.

"The doctor did say plenty of bed rest, didn't he," Justin said with a
sly grin on his face.

Nick nodded slowly and brought his hands to the bottom of Justin's shirt
and pulled it up. "It's hot in here, isn't it," Nick asked as he began to
breathe heavily. Justin nodded slowly and lifted his arms above his head to
allow Nick to pull the shirt off.

"I'm feeling a little awkward here," Justin said with a grin. "I think
you should take you're shirt off too."

"Oh, OK," Nick said eagerly as he tore his own shirt off. He rubbed his
hands up and down Justin's smooth chest and torso and smiled. "I feel like
this is our first time all over again."

Justin giggled a bit. "Our first time, didn't I do something like this?"
Justin leaned forward and brought his lips to Nick's. He parted his lips
slowly and ran his tongue along Nick's lips. Nick opened his mouth slowly
and allowed Justin to slip his tongue inside. He ran his hands up and down
Justin's back and pulled him in close to his body. Justin could feel Nick's
hardening member through the fabric of his jeans. He brought his hand to the
front of Nick's pants and slowly undid the zipper.

"I think we need more bed rest," Nick said as he tried to catch his
breath. Justin nodded slowly and collapsed back onto the bed. Nick grinned
as he looked down and saw his pants undone. "Did you do this?"

Justin giggled a bit and brought his hands to Nick's hips and pulled him
down onto the bed on top of him. "I hope that's alright," Justin said.

Nick nodded eagerly and slid his pants down his legs. He stepped out of
them, remaining only in a pair of dark gray briefs.

"Those are incredibly sexy," Justin said as he stared.

Nick laughed a bit. "Well thank you! What are you wearing today?" He
reached down to Justin's fly and opened it slowly. "Nice," Nick said as he
saw Justin's baby blue boxer briefs.

"I should take these off," Justin said as he pulled his pants all the way
down. Nick pulled the bottoms to remove them. He dropped them onto the
floor and crawled up to Justin, sliding his body along Justin's. Justin
moaned loudly and leaned all the way back.

"God you feel wonderful," Justin said with a smile.

"So do you," Nick moaned out as he brought his hand to Justin's growing
erection. He slipped his hands beneath the soft fabric and gently began to
stroke. He brought his face up to meet Justin's and gently began to suck on
his neck. He pulled the blankets back and maneuvered the both of them so
they were under the warm hotel blankets.

"Mmmm," Justin said as Nick continued to suck on his neck. "Can I have
you inside of me?"

Nick smiled down at him and nodded, kissing his lips gently. He watched
as Justin reached into the nightstand and took out a bottle of lube. Justin
opened it slowly and, puring some out, began to rub it up and down Nick's
hard member. Nick moaned loudly as he gripped the sheets. Finally, Justin
laid back on the bed and smiled up at Nick as he spread his legs.

Nick groaned as he got on top of Justin. With a look of pleasure painted
across his face, he slowly pressed the head to Justin's entrance and pushed
in. Justin inhaled through his clenched teeth. "Go slow," he said with a
smile. Nick nodded and bent down, bringing his lips to Justin's as he pushed
in further. Their passionate kisses stifled the moans which otherwise would
have erupted from the sheets. Justin adjusted to the feeling of having Nick
inside him and smiled widely. He gave Nick a nod. Nick smiled widely and
began to pull out of Justin. When only the head remained, he pushed in
again. His breathing got heavier as did Justin's. Justin brought his legs
up and wrapped them around Nick's waist. Justin moaned loudly as he could
feel himself getting closer. He pulled Nick towards him and brought his lips
to his lovers, forcing them both into a kiss. He gave a breath yell through
their kiss as he came between them. He collapsed back on the bed with an
exhausted look on his face, weakly running his hands up and down Nick's
chest. Nick gave out a breif yell, before throwing his head back and coming
inside Justin. He fell down on top of Justin, breathing heavily. Justin put
one arm behind Nick's back and slowly rubbed his hands up and down.

"Was it always that good," Nick asked sleepily.

Justin moaned in reply. His rubbing got slower as he whispered, "I love
you." Slowly, their breathing became more and more rhythmic as they drifted
to sleep in each other's arms.

                                    *****

"Gee you guys are nice," Kevin slurred as he stumbled through the
streets, holding onto Devon and Lance.

"Yes, we're very nice," Lance said as he winced, his shoulder still a bit
soar from the accident. Devon saw him struggle a bit and shifted Kevin's
weight more onto himself, giving Lance some much needed relief. Lance looked
over at him and smiled. "Thanks."

"No problem." Devon looked at Kevin's wrist. "Kevin, did you lose your
watch?"

"I lost a lot of things tonight," Kevin said. "Like my dinner..."

"Yes, you did, didn't you," Devon said.

Kevin suddenly fell down to the floor and shut his eyes. "Shit," Lance
said under his breathe as he dropped to the floor next to Kevin. He looked
up and Devon. "Now what are we going to do?"

Devon sighed. "Well i don't think he can walk anymore."

"I don't think he can either," a voice from Kevin said. Devon and Lance
both looked down and saw him grinning up at them. "Hewwo," he said with a
grin.

"Get up here," Devon laughed as he tugged on Kevin's arm. "When did the
rest of the guys leave," he asked Lance.

"Somewhere around Kevin's fifth screwdriver," Lance replied. He watched
as a group of people walked on the opposite side of the street as them,
staring. "We have to get him back to the hotel."

They trudged along through the deserted streets, finally reaching the
hotel. "Let's use the back entrance. We don't need people seeing him like
this." Devon struggled to hold up Kevin as he more or less carried him
through the kitchen and into a service elevator. He sighed loudly as the
elevator reached their floor. He put Kevin over his shoulder with a groan.

"Christ he's heavy," he said with a laugh.

"This is his room," Lance said as Devon placed Kevin down on the floor.
He bent down and put his hand into Kevin's pocket to find the key.

"Frisky," Kevin said with a grin. Devon laughed a bit and finally found
what he was looking for. He opened the door and looked down at Kevin.

"Wanna help me here," Devon said to Kevin. Kevin nodded happily and
lifted his arms. Devon yanked them up a bit and pulled him to his feet.

"I'm gonna get him some tyloenol from our room. He's gonna need them in
the morning. I'll be right back," Lance said. Devon sighed and quickly
pulled Kevin into the room and deposited him onto his bed.

"Well, I hope you had a good night. Now, I suggest you get some rest,"
Devon said. He turned to exit.

"Devon, come here," Kevin said laughing. "I want to tell you a secret."

Devon giggled a bit and bent over towards Kevin. As soon as he was close
enough, Kevin put one hand on his shirt color and yanked him down, kissing
him passionately on the lips. Devon struggled a bit, but found himself
fighting a losing battle.

"I got the tylenol for Kevin," Lance said as he entered. Upon walking
into the room he paused and saw the scene on Kevin's bed. His heart missed a
couple of beats as he dropped the tylenol to the floor. "Sorry," he said in
a hoarse whisper.

"Lance, come back. Wait up," Devon yelled as he chased him.

Kevin was left laying on the bed by himself, a single thought running
through his head. "What did I do?"

                                *****

Well, I hope everyone liked section 24. Quite a few twists. So now,
where does this leave everyone? Is Kevin gay? Will Lance recover from this?
How will Devon react when faced with Lance's feelings for him? Is Leigh
Anne gone for good? All these questions to be answered (and more raised)
when part 25 comes out in a couple of days! Send all
comments/suggestions/criticisms, etc to Mike at BrwyMilo@aol.com. Thanks for
reading!
