Subject: "Nick and Justin" part 25
Well here we go. Part 25. Excited? Just a little? :o) As always,
this section will answer many of the questions i've been asked in e-mails and
cause a whole bunch of new ones. But that's the fun of it all! If you have
any quesitons, comments, suggestions, criticisms, etc, send them all to Mike
at BrwyMilo@aol.com. I love e-mail.
The other series i work on, "Lost and Found" will be updated more
regularly now. It's still in it's early stages, but we're really gonna start
getting it out more regularly. RJ is my parner in crime in that series.
Look out for his story, N'Sync and RJ.
On to the legalities! This story is totally fictional and not based at
all on reality. It's not meant to imply anything about the sexuality or
beliefs of anyone involved. That said, enjoy the story!

Lance ran back to his room, aware that Devon was right behind him.
He quickly entered the bathroom, shutting and locking the door. He sat down
on the floor and hugged his knees to his chest, a million thoughts flying
through his head. "Why would Kevin do that," Lance asked himself. "That's
why he was so upset about me liking Devon. He wanted him for himself
without any competition." He paused for a second. "Is Kevin even gay
though," he asked himself. He shook his head, not even caring about the
answer. All he knew was that Kevin had been kissing Dev. That's all that
mattered. Lance let a tear fall from his eye. "Why does this always happen
to me?"
There was a timid knocking on the door. "Lance, it's Devon. Can I
come in?"
"Um, just give me a second to finish up," Lance said, trying to wipe
away his tears. He stood up and dusted off his pants. He splashed some
water on his face and looked in the mirror. 'I look like shit,' he said to
himself. He sighed heavily and turned towards the door. After pulling it
open, he
quickly and rushed out and walked over to his bed and lay down. Glancing up,
he saw Devon standing over him.
"I thought you had to get into the bathroom," Lance said, not
looking up at Devon's eyes.
"Actually I wanted to explain what happened over in Kevin's room,"
Devon said as he sat down on Lance's bed.
"There's no need to explain anything," Lance said, a bit sadly.
"It's alright that you like Kevin. He's attractive and all. It's none of my
business what you do with him."
Devon laughed a bit. "Lance, you know I don't like Kevin."
Lance looked at him for a second. "Devon you really don't have to
lie. I mean, I saw you two kissing."
"I was as surprised about that as you were," Devon replied. "Lance,
Kevin is drunk off his ass right now. He had no idea what he was doing. He
probably just saw me standing there and thought he'd be funny."
Lance stared him straight in the eyes. "Well it wasn't very funny."
Devon stopped laughing. "No, I suppose it wasn't." He studied
Lance's expression for a moment. He saw tear stains in the corners of his
eyes. "What's wrong Lance? I mean, what's really bothering you. I feel
like I'm totally in the dark here and I hate that feeling."
Lance stared at his feet on the other end of the bed and remained
silent. He put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. "I think I'm
just tired," he lied. He turned his head and saw a bit of a frown on
Devon's face. "I guess I was just tired and then I saw you two kissing, and
got a bit of a shock. There's nothing wrong. Really."
"So that's it," Devon asked. "You were just a little surprised when
you saw Kevin kiss me?" Lance nodded. "I see," Devon said as he stood up.
"Well you should get to bed then."
"What are you going to do," Lance asked, sitting up as he saw Devon
turn towards the door.
"I guess I'm gonna go down to the gym for a while. I'm not really
in the mood for sleep right now." Lance stared as Devon opened the door and
walked out.
He laid back down on the bed and dropped his head to the pillow with
a thud. "Why didn't I just tell him," Lance scolded himself. "I always
wait too long, never take a chance." He thought back to Justin. "And
I always lose."
His mind wandered back to the night at Justin's house when he first told
him
how he felt. He could still see Justin's face when he saw Nick come down
the stairs and fly out the door, Justin running after him. "I always lose,"
he said again. He sat up in his bed suddenly and threw his legs over the
side. "Well not this time." He sprang up quickly and, grabbing his keys,
ran out the door.

Brian nuzzled closer to JC in his sleep and sighed happily. They too had
left the club early, Brian not really wanting to let Kevin stay and drink
himself into a stupor, but at the same time not wanting to see the mess his
cousin had become. When Devon and Lance said they would get Kevin home for
him, he was more than happy to let them. His stay at the hospital had
exhausted him more than he wanted to admit and the club had tired him out
even further. Both he and JC had agreed to go straight to bed, no matter
what the other temptations might be.
Brian's eyes flew open at the sound of the phone ringing. He grabbed it
quickly, trying to catch it before it could wake JC. "Hello," he said in an
angry whisper.
"Brian, its Kevin."
Brian sat up in his bed and sighed heavily. "What is it Kevin? It's
three
o'clock in the morning."
"Brian, can you please come to my room. I really need to talk to you."
His
voice had a pleading to it, something that Brian wasn't used to hearing from
Kevin.
"Are you sure this can't wait til morning," Brian said groggily.
"Brian please," Kevin said again, a little more desperate this time.
"I'll be right there," Brian said with a sigh. He hung up the phone and
looked down at JC, who had slept through the entire conversation. "I'll be
right back," he whispered. He got up slowly and threw a t-shirt on with his
boxer shorts and walked over to Kevin's room. He found the door open and
Kevin laying face down on the bed. Brian rushed over and sat down next to
him, rubbing his back gently. Kevin jumped up and stared at Brian.
"What the hell is wrong," Brian asked as he saw Kevin's tear stained face.
"I've never seen you cry before."
"I did a really bad thing," Kevin said.
"Kevin, it's alright," Brian said as he gave Kevin's shoulder a
gentle squeeze. "You're drunk. Very drunk. Everything will be fine in the
morning."
"I kissed Devon," Kevin said quickly. Brian stopped his movements
and stared at Kevin's eyes.
"You did what?"
"I kissed Devon," Kevin repeated. More tears came to his eyes as he
remembered the scene. Brian felt his body get weak as he slumped down
further onto the bed. He stared off into space and shook his head. "Brian,
say something," Kevin pleaded.
"What can I say," Brian asked. He looked at his cousin. "You've
got a lot of explaining to do cuz."
"I know I do. Shit Brian, how could I be so dumb?"
"I have no idea," Brian said. "First of all, are you gay Kevin?"
Kevin thought for a moment. "No, I don't think so."
"You don't think so," Brian said, a bit shocked. "Then what
possessed you to kiss him!"
Kevin jumped a little as Brian raised his voice. "I don't know. I
don't know what came over me. Him and Lance got me back to my room, Lance
left for a second, I kissed him and then Lance walked back in and caught
us."
"Oh my God Kevin. Lance saw the two of you?" Kevin nodded
guiltily. Brian stood up from the bed and began to pace around. "This
whole thing is so fucked up Kevin."
"I know it is Brian," Kevin said as more tears came to his eyes.
Brian heard a quiver in Kevin's voice and stopped. He examined his cousin
for a second before walking back over to him and pulling him into a hug.
"We'll make it better Kevin. I'm just still confused. Kevin, what
made you kiss Devon, honestly. Are you attracted to him?"
Kevin stopped for a second and then nodded his head. He looked up
at Brian. "Yes, I am."
Brian sighed. "Is that why you tried to discourage Lance form
seeing him?"
"No," Kevin yelled defensively. "Look, I would never have done
anything like that if I hadn't been drunk. I would never try to sabotage
something for Lance. I just...I dunno. I saw him standing above me and I
guess I kind of got carried away in the moment or something because before I
knew it I was kissing him."
"And Lance saw you and stormed out," Brian interjected. Kevin
nodded slowly. "Do you want to try to pursue anything with Devon," Brian
asked slowly.
Kevin sighed heavily before shaking his head. "No, I can't. I know
how Lance feels about him. I had no right to even kiss him. Besides, no
matter what I did here tonight and what it may look like; I'm not gay Brian.
I guess I'm not exactly straight as an arrow, but I know I'm not gay."
"Well then, I guess we just have to worry about damage control,"
Brian said as he sat repositioned himself on the bed. "After what I did
with Lance, we never got a chance to settle things. I don't want him to
think that our night together meant nothing to me. It did, it's just that
JC means to much to me. So how about I handle Lance and you handle Devon."
"You know I have to talk to Lance too," Kevin said.
"Oh, believe me, I know that Kevin," Brian said with a laugh. "But
I need to get some things off my chest with Lance anyway, so I'll just
smooth him over for you. You need to make sure things are ok between you
and Devon."
Kevin pulled Brian into a hug. "You a good cousin Brian," Kevin
said.
"Well, I learned form the best," Brian said with a smile. "Now you
get some rest. We'll take care of everything tomorrow."
*****
One. Two. Three. Four. Devon bobbed up and down doing his
push-ups. He had been in the gym for half an hour already, trying to clear
his head of all that had happened. Beads of sweat had long ago formed on
his forehead and were now dripping down his face and chest. Fifteen.
Sixteen. Seventeen. Eighteen. He continued going, his thoughts running
wild through his mind. 'Why the hell did Kevin kiss me,' he asked himself.
'And what is up with Lance? First he seems like he's gonna cry when he saw
us and now he doesn't even care? What the hell is that about?'
Thirty-three. Thirty-four. Thirty-five. 'Everything was going so great
too. The guys seemed to like me. Fatima likes what I'm doing with the
choreography. I even thought Lance was starting to like me. Someone
actually might be falling for me. I haven't had as much fun as I've had
with Lance since-' He stopped were he was. Seventy-five. He dropped to
the floor and laid there for a second. 'Since...'
'Don't think about that Devon,' he scolded himself. 'That was a
long time ago. Long forgotten.' He jumped up and walked over to a set of
weights. 'Guess I could just do this all night. God knows what'll happen
when I go back to my room.' He began doing curls, wiping the sweat from his
brow with his free arm.
"Do you need a spotter," a familiar voice said.
"No, I'm good," Devon replied without looking up. Then he paused.
He glanced towards the door and saw Lance standing there, a flower in his
hand. Devon looked at the flower and then back at Lance.
"Well, I was just walking around and I passed this store-"
"What kind of store," Devon asked.
"A flower store," Lance said with a grin. He walked over to where
Devon was and, taking the barbell from his hand, replaced it with the
flower. "This brings out your eyes much better."
Devon laughed a bit, but stopped as he remembered everything that
had went on. "So, what did you want," Devon asked a bit coldly as he put
the flower down on the bench and took the barbell back from Lance.
Lance paused, and almost ran for the door. Then he recollected
himself and stared Devon straight in the eye. "I've always been one to run
away. Whenever I find I like something, I'm always afraid to just go for
it. I guess I just don't want to get hurt again. So, I run away, or I act
indifferent and then I go and do something really stupid. Kind of like
tonight."
"Tonight," Devon asked as he put the weight on the floor.
"Yea. I mean, I saw you and Kevin kissing and ran out of the room.
Natural reaction. Well, I kind of went back to our room and locked myself
in the bathroom so I could cry."
"I see," Devon said, a bit hopefully.
"I mean, I almost died when I saw the two of you." He stopped and
started staring down at the floor. "God, why can't I just say this?"
"If you say it really fast, it's easier," Devon said with a grin.
Lance smiled up at him. "I don't think I can say it fast enough."
He sighed loudly and sat down on one of the work-out benches. "Here it
goes. The reason I was so upset when I saw the two of you kissing is...I
umm..." Lance paused and then took a really deep breath. "I like you
Devon," he said as fast as he could. Then more slowly, "A lot."
Devon smiled a bit and sat down on the bench next to Lance. He put
one arm around Lance's shoulder and guided Lance's head onto his shoulder.
Lance nuzzled closer to Devon's neck and inhaled his scent deeply. Devon
began to rhythmically stroke Lance's hair and massage his shoulder, making
Lance moan a bit.
"I like you too," Devon said slowly. As he spoke, he could feel his
heart jump. 'I haven't said anything like that in so long.'
Lance looked up at him. "You do?"
Devon nodded and gave him a huge smile. "I have a great time
whenever I'm with you. You're sweet, caring, not a half-bad dancer." Lance
giggled at the last comment. Devon gave his shoulder a gentle squeeze.
"So, I guess I really like you is what I'm trying to say."
Lance got a huge smile across his face as Devon spoke. "So, um,
does that mean you'll..."
"Yes Lance," Devon said with a grin. "I'll be your boyfriend."
Lance threw his arms around Devon's neck and squeezed tightly.
Devon laughed and returned the wild embrace. "You're gonna choke me you
know," he laughed out.
"So what," Lance said. "There's no way I'm letting go."
*****
Sunlight streamed through the hotel window. Inside the room was
cold as ice as Nick and Justin pulled the blankets closer around their naked
bodies. Nick held Justin tightly in his arms, trying to keep him warm.
"Um, clothes might be a good thing," Justin said with a laugh.
"You're probably right, but that would involve getting out from
under the blanket," Nick replied.
"You're right," Justin said with a frown. "OK, I guess I'll get up
and get us some then. You stay here." Justin stood up and wrapped his arms
around himself. Then with a quick motion, he tore the covers off of the bed
and wrapped then around himself. Nick laughed loudly.
"That was harsh," he said as he hopped up and ran over to Justin.
He wrapped some of the blankets around himself and put his hands on Justin's
hips. "What time did Brian say breakfast was?"
"We have ten minutes to get our asses to his room," Justin repeated
as he tried to imitate Brian's voice.
Nick groaned and pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt.
Justin did the same and together they walked back to the bed and collapsed
on it, still under the blanket.
"Why didn't Kevin take care of breakfast like he usually does," Nick
asked.
"He's probably still hung over from last night," Justin replied
sadly.
"Yea, that was getting pretty ugly there," Nick said with a frown.
"I've never known him to drink like that."
"Well, he is a big boy. He can take care of himself I guess,"
Justin said before standing.
"I suppose," Nick said. "OK, let's go get some food. I'm starving
to death!"
They quickly exited the room and walked down the hall to Brian's and
JC's. They found that the door was open, so they strolled on in, catching
JC and Brian rolling around on the bed.
"Our food isn't under there is it," Justin asked with a laugh. JC
jumped up off the bed and turned a bright shade of red.
"Hi guys! You're the first one's here. We...um...got some eggs,
and bacon...and...
"Stuff," Brian said, his face also a lovely shade of red.
"Oh, that's good," Nick laughed. He walked over to the carts and
got a big plate of food for himself and Justin to share. "You guys can
continue if you want. We'll just heckle and throw coins at you."
"Gee, you're funny in the morning," Brian laughed. He got up and
messed up Nick's hair. "I remember when we used to have to toss you into
the tub to get you up."
"Yea well, I have something bright and sunny to wake up to every
morning now," Nick said with a smile glancing over at Justin.
"OK, I'm gonna want to eat now," JC said.
"Hey, that was sweet," Justin said as he gave JC a playful slap.
"Alright alright, break it up," Chris said as he barged into the
room. His eyes were still have closed and he had a swagger to his walk.
"You look like you were just cast in 'Night of the Living Dead',"
Joey said with a laugh as he entered, AJ and Britney right behind him.
Chris yawned in his face for a reply and turned to the food.
"Coffee," he said as he reached for the pot. He took a sip and opened his
eyes wide. "Folgers?"
"Yep," JC laughed.
"Cool beans," Chris replied as he shoved a sausage in his mouth.
"Hey, where's Lance and Devon," Nick asked as he gave Justin a
forkful of eggs.
"Still asleep I guess," Brian said. "I'll go wake them up." He got
up from his seat next to JC and ran down the hall, knocking on Lance's door.
"Lance, wake up."
There was no answer. Brian knocked louder and listened for any
noise form inside. There was none. He tried the doorknob and to his
surprise it opened. He pushed the door open and peered into the darkened
room. "Oh my god," he said with a grin. Devon was lying on the bed on his
back. He had one arm around Lance's shoulder, who had his head on Devon's
chest. Both were naked from at least the waist up. Brian cleared his
throat loudly and saw them both begin to stir.
"Wake up sunshines," Brian said with a smile.
Devon's eyes opened first. He looked at Brian and then at himself
and Lance and then back at Brian. "Good morning," he said with grin.
"Looks like," Brian replied. He walked over to Lance and gently
shook him. "Morning honey."
Lance's eyes fluttered open. "What the-" His mind flew back to the
night that JC had walked in on him and Brian. He saw Devon laying there
next to him, not Brian. "Um, hi Bri."
"Hello," Brian laughed out. "Get up and get some breakfast."
Devon began to stand but the turned a bright shade of red. "Um,
we'll be in in a couple of minutes."
"You're both naked under there aren't you," Brian said with a huge
laugh.
Lance turned bright red and nodded. The he looked up at Brian.
"Don't tell any of the guys about this please. We want to tell them when
the time is right."
"Scouts honor," Brian said as he saluted them. He took one more
look at the two of them and walked out of the room, closing the door behind
him. He walked slowly back to his room and back to his position next to JC.
"They'll be in soon. They were just getting up," Brian said with a grin.
"I see," Nick said with a grin. Brian gave him a suspicious look. Nick
cocked one eyebrow and gave a short laugh.
"What are you laughing at," Justin asked as he looked at Nick.
"Me? Oh nothing," Nick replied quickly. "You got some egg here though,"
Nick said as he licked Justin's lips. "Mmm, all better." Justin giggled a
bit.
"Get a room, would ya," Chris said with a smile.
"We've got one. You wanna see," Nick asked with a growl.
"No, I'm not THAT horny yet thank you very much," Chris laughed back.
"Suit yourself," Justin said as he squirmed a bit against Nick.
"Ok, we gotta hurry up. We have to be ready to rehearse in a bit.
Brian, why don't we just bring some food to Devon and Lance. That way they
can just eat and get ready faster," JC said.
"Um, ok," Brian said. The rest of the guys got up to go and went back to
their rooms to get dressed. As soon as the last had left, Brian grabbed JC's
arm. "Let;s not go in there just yet."
"Why not," JC asked suspiciously.
"You'll see," was all that Brian said as he laid back on the bed.
"Everyone will."
