Subject: "Nick and Justin" part 42

This is part 42 of Nick and Justin. Thanks for stopping by. =) Sorry
it took so long to get out, but, life's been pretty hectic. Lots of fun, but
hectic. Thanks everyone for reading this story and to everyone who's sent me
mail regarding "Still Breathing", the other series I work on. Both this
story and the other one will be continuing for quite some time.

This story is total fiction. Total. Not one bit of it is based on fact.
None of it. Unless I'm like psychic or something which would be pretty damn
cool. But chances of that are slim, so this isn't meant to imply anything
about anyone. Send anything ya want to Mike at BrwyMilo@aol.com. I love
mail, so keep it coming. Thanks for reading!

                    *****

Nick shifted uncomfortably in his sleep, one arm flung over the side of
the bed, the other resting on Justin's stomach. Another change of position
had him with his leg over Justin's thigh and his head resting on Justin's
shoulder. The knee in Justin's side is finally what woke up the younger man.

"If you keep this up, you're getting the couch," Justin said groggily.
Nick looked at him, seeing the smile on his face.

"I'm sorry," Nick said. "I can sleep on the couch. I don't mean to keep
you awake."

"Nick, it's alright," Justin said as he rested his head on Nick's chest.
"Are you ok?"

"Yea, I'm fine I guess. Just a little uncomfortable," Nick said,
stretching his body along the length of the bed.

There was a timid knock on the door as Justin looked up. He glanced over
at Nick who shrugged. "Um, come in."

Jonathan opened the door slowly, peaking his head in and looking at his
older brother. He stuck his upper body in followed by one leg.

"What's up buddy," Nick asked as he sat up to look at the younger boy.

"I had a nightmare," Jonathan said quietly, looking at the bed.

"Was it scary," Justin asked as he lay down, his feet at the headboard
facing the child.

"Yea," Jonathan replied, sticking the rest of his body into the room.

"You wanna sleep here tonight," Nick asked.

"K," Jonathan said, smiling lightly as he climbed onto the bed from the
foot of it. He crawled up towards the pillow and rested his head there.

"What time do you have to be up tomorrow," Justin asked as he climbed
back to the right position and reached for the alarm clock.

"Seven I think," Jonathan said as he yawned, bringing his small hand to
his mouth. Justin groaned lightly and set the alarm clock for seven.

"I'll never understand how you wake up so early," Justin said as he lay
down, facing his brother.

"I dunno," Jonathan replied, trying to get comfortable.

"It's always easier when you're young," Nick said with a smirk.

"Stop, you're gonna make me feel old," Justin laughed, kissing Jonathan
lightly on the cheek. "Now sleep munchkin."

"Don't call me munchkin," Nick said with a laugh, causing Jonathan to
giggle.

"You're worse than he is," Justin laughed. He pulled the blankets over
the three of them and wrapped one arm around Jonathan who was nuzzling
against Nick's shoulder as he drifted off. Justin peaked up and saw Nick
smiling back at him. "Night," he whispered.

"Night," Nick whispered back. He shut his eyes and rested his head
against the pillow, Jonathan breathing lightly next to him.

                                *****

Lynn sat downstairs in the darkened living room, an open bottle of brandy
on the table next to her, a glass in her hand. She stared out in front of
her, not looking at anything in particular.

"They can't be engaged," she whispered to herself. She looked over
towards the stairs and sighed. "And now he's leaving me."

Lynn took a long drink from her glass before setting it down on the
table. She then remembered Jonathan and thought better of it, closing the
bottle and replacing it in the liquor cabinet. She took her glass and walked
into the kitchen, pouring out the remainder of its contents before putting it
in the dishwasher. She looked around the darkened room, making sure
everything was as it should be before walking out and heading up the stairs.

She noticed the door to Jonathan's room was open. She smiled lightly and
peaked her head in, expecting to see him sleeping soundly. The bed was empty
with the sheets lying on the floor. She sighed and headed towards Justin's
room. She opened the door slowly and saw the three boys lying in the bed
together, Jonathan curled up tight against Nick. Smiling in spite of
herself, she turned and left the room, closing the door behind her. She
leaned against it and breathed hard, her thoughts everywhere. She looked
towards her bedroom and moved slowly toward it. "Tomorrow. We'll talk this
all out tomorrow."

                    *****

Justin awoke the next morning before the alarm clock went off. His bed
was moving. He kept his eyes shut and held the side with one hand, placing
the other on then wall behind him. "Why is my bed moving," Justin asked
matter of factly. He heard two sets of giggling voices. "Nick, if you're
doing what I think-"

"Ew," Nick said with a loud laugh. Justin opened up his eyes and saw a
very happy Jonathan jumping on his bed.

"Nick said we should wake you up," Jonathan said with a laugh.

"Nick is a dead man," Justin said in an overly sweet voice as he scooped
Jonathan up and lay him down on the bed. He looked over at Nick and held his
arms out as if he wanted to hug him.

"Hell no," Nick said as he backed up a bit. "I hug you and you tickle
me. I know that face."

"I wouldn't do that. I just want a good morning hug," Justin said,
throwing a look at Jonathan.

"What do you think," Nick asked Jonathan.

"Don't do it," the young boy laughed, jumping up again.

"Traitor," Justin said as he picked up Jonathan and started to tickle
him.

"No, don't punish him for my actions," Nick said over dramatically.
"Take me instead." He flopped down on the bed, his arms flung out to the
side. Justin let go of Jonathan and smiled.

"You shouldn't watch this. It could get ugly. Why don't you see what
mom is up to," Justin said.

"OK," Jonathan said, laughing at the way Nick was lying. He ran out of
the room quickly, shutting the door behind him.

"You're not really going to tickle me, are you," Nick asked with a wide
smile.

"And why shouldn't I," Justin asked as he straddled Nick's waist and put
his hands at his sides.

"Because we can be doing something so much better with our hands," Nick
said with a grin. Justin thought a moment.

"I dunno," Justin said, placing one hand on his head. "You could've
woken me up in a much nicer way."

"Close your eyes," Nick said with a grin.

"Alright," Justin replied, shutting his eyes tight. He felt Nick's hands
slowly moving up and down his chest, kneeding the flesh beneath his fingers.
Justin could feel himself being lowered to the soft matress. Again, there
were hands on his bare flesh, this time against his shoulders, massaging them
gently. Lips soon followed as Justin felt Nick's warm breath against his
neck. Justin let a soft moan out as Nick's lips moved to his own. Justin
parted his lips, allowing Nick's tongue to slip inside. They explored each
other's mouths as Nick's hands continued to rub against Justin's flesh. Nick
crawled on top of Justin, rubbing his growing erection into Justin's. Justin
brought his head back and groaned as he felt Nick thrust against his crotch.
He opened his eyes and saw Nick staring at him.

"Is that a better way to wake you up," Nick asked with a grin.

"Yea, let's try it like that every morning," Justin said, breathing hard.

"Should I lock the door," Nick asked with a smile, already standing.

"Yea," Justin said with a smirk, watching as Nick stood and walked over
to the door, turning the lock. He removed his basketball shorts, standing in
only a pair of tight fitting boxer shorts. He looked at Justin longingly
before laying back down on the bed.

"It's been a while, huh," Nick said lowly.

"If two days is a while," Justin said with a grin.

"Shut up," Nick laughed, bringing his mouth to Justin's. He kissed him
deep and hard, rubbing his body along the length of Justin's. He could feel
his lover's breath quicken.

"Make love to me," Nick whispered, totally out of breath.

"Are you..." Nick placed his finger to Justin's lips and nodded. He
kissed him lightly and watched as Justin reached into his nightstand pulling
out a bottle of lube.

"Always prepared, aren't you," Nick said with a grin,

"Always," Justin replied. He gently began to pull on the waistband of
Nick's boxers, as Nick reached for Justin's. They laughed a bit before
removing their own. Nick lay on his back and poured a bit of lube into his
hand. He brought his hand to Justin's long erection and began to stroke him
gently. Justin opened his mouth, but made no sound, enjoying the sensations
that were coursing through his body.

Nick turned onto his side and pulled Justin behind him, positioning
himself. He pulled Justin's hand to his chest and squeezed tight as Justin
slowly began to enter. Nick inhaled sharply, as he felt a wave of pain.
Justin stopped and began to kiss the back of Nick's neck, trying to ease him
back to pleasure. Nick began to breathe harder and pushed back, causing
Justin to enter further. Justin moved forward slowly, breathing hard as his
own pleasure increased. Finally, he was all the way inside Nick. He sucked
gently on Nick's neck, kissing lightly. He slowly moved his hips,
withdrawing slightly. He then moved forward again, moaning loudly. Nick
moved his hips along with Justin.

"Oh God Nick," Justin moaned, his eyes shut tight.

Nick panted loudly as he felt Justin's hand move down to his growing
erection. He had a bit of lube on his hand, which he used to gently slide
onto Nick's manhood. Nick moaned as Justin's stroking increased with the
speed of his thrusting into Nick. Nick tossed his head back and let out a
long breath.

"Faster," he whispered. Justin obliged, thrusting faster and faster,
panting louder. His stroking increased as Nick breathed harder.

    "Nick," Justin moaned. "I'm gonna..."

"Me too," Nick panted. Justin quickened his pace, finally exploding
inside of Nick. Justin continued stroking until Nick's breath caught in his
throat. Nick shot into Justin's hand and collapsed onto the bed, completely
spent. His breathing was hard, but slowly began to return to normal.

"I think we can use another nap," Nick said with a laugh as he cleaned
himself and Justin off with a towel that was laying next to the bed.

"Justin," a small voice said from outside the door. The knob began to
turn, but stopped, as it was locked. "Hey, the door's locked," Jonathan said.

    "Shit," Justin whispered.

"Jonathan, let's not bother your brother right now," Lynn's voice said.

"But you said you wanted to talk to him," Jonathan said, his voice
getting lower as the child was ushered away. Justin groaned and stood up,
pulling on his boxers and a pair of basketball shorts and a wife beater.

"This is going to be a wonderful thing to explain to my mother," Justin
said. Nick stood up as well, pulling on some clothes.

"Just tell her we were...studying," Nick said with a smile. Justin threw
him a look and laughed quickly.

"You're a silly boy," Justin laughed. "But I love you."

                    *****

"Hi," Jonathan said from the couch as he watched his cartoons. Justin
ran down the stairs and over to him, kissing him on the cheek.

"What's on," he asked with a grin.

"Rugrats," Jonathan replied, paying more attention to the tv. Justin
stood slowly and walked back the foot of the stairs where Nick stood.

"Guess we should see how my mom is," Justin said. Nick nodded and walked
in front of Justin. Justin shrugged and threw on more glance back at
Jonathan.

"Hi Lynn," Nick said as soon as he entered the kitchen. Lynn looked up
from her coffee and smiled weakly.

    "Morning."

"Hi mom," Justin said with a wide smile, trying to feel out his mother's
mood.

"I left you a bowl of cereal on the counter," she replied flatly, barely
looking in her son's direction. She looked down at the toast on her plate
and pushed it away.

"I was wondering if we could talk to you," Justin said as he approached
his mother. "About last night."

"Justin, there's nothing to discuss," Lynn said, standing quickly.

"There's plenty to discuss mom," Justin replied, trying to stand in her
way from the door. Lynn glared at him before walking to the sink with her
plate.

"You've already made up your mind, haven't you," Lynn asked over the
water from the faucet.

"Yes I have," Justin replied.

"Then there's nothing to say," Lynn said. "I hope you'll be happy." She
wiped her hands on a towel and once again made for the door, Justin standing
in front of her. "Justin, I have a long day and I have to get your brother
to day care. Now stop this."

"Mom, please," Justin said a bit pleadingly. Lynn looked in his eyes for
a moment, feeling herself soften. She looked over at Nick and saw a defeated
look on his face. With a sigh she was sitting down at the table again.

"Thank you," Nick whispered, taking a seat next to the patio door.

"Look, I meant what I said about not having time for this right now,"
Lynn said. "I will tell you this. I think you guys are making a mistake. A
big one. You guys are in love, I know, but love isn't always enough. You
haven't been together long enough to-" She looked and saw tears start to
frame Justin's eyes. She paused and looked over at Nick who had the same
pained expression on his face. She stared down at the table again. "I'm not
going to lie to you. And you're not going to like what I have to say." She
looked at Justin again who was merely nodding. "God, why do you have to do
that! Justin, I'm trying to help you! If I didn't love you, I'd say, 'Sure
son! Go for it! Marry your boyfriend and live happily ever after!' I'm
sorry, I'm just a little more cynical than that! I know what happens when
love goes wrong. You think it's all fun and games. It's not! It's really
not!" Her whole body was shaking now, remembering the harder times in her
first marriage. "Love isn't always enough."

"Mom, why can't you understand," Justin pleaded.

"Justin, I'm trying. I think you guys moving in together is fine.
Probably a good idea. If I had lived with your father before we got married,
we wouldn't have made such a huge mistake."

"And you wouldn't have had me," Justin said, standing up.

Lynn stopped and looked at him, feeling her heart drop to her knees.
"You know I didn't mean that," she whispered.

"Right," Justin replied, standing by the sink, his back towards his
mother.

"Justin, look at me," Lynn said. Justin made no move, but stared out the
small window over the sink.

"Justin," Lynn said, a bit stronger.

"What's going on," the small voice said. Lynn's head snapped around as
she saw Jonathan. She looked over at Nick who nodded. He walked over to the
refrigerator and took one of Jonathan's boxed juices.

"Hey buddy, let's walk in the back for a bit, ok," Nick said, picking him
up.

"Are mommy and Justin fighting," Jonathan asked.

"Nope, just talkin loud," Nick said with a smile as he walked out the
back door, child in arms. Jonathan grasped his box of juice tightly. "Come
on, we can see if that bunny is still around." Jonathan's eyes lit up as
Nick mentioned the animal.

Nick turned around and faced Lynn before he exited with Jonathan.
'Please,' he mouthed to her, his eyes pained. She looked away, hearing the
door shut as she turned to her son.

"Please look at me," Lynn said, placing her hand on her son's shoulder.
"Justin, you know how much I love you. I didn't mean for what I said to come
out like that."

"I know," Justin said weakly. "It's just that this is all too much
sometimes."

    "What is," Lynn asked.

"Mom, would we be having this discussion if it was Britney Spears I was
engaged too," Justin asked.

"Justin, we'd be having this discussion if you were engaged to the queen
of England." Lynn stopped for a moment and laughed. "It would be a whole
other talk, but this one has nothing to do with Nick being..."

"A man," Justin said, jumping in. "He's a man mom. You can say it."

"I know I can say it," Lynn said. "It just doesn't roll of the tongue
easily. Ok, so this has nothing to do with you being gay. I just think
you're too young to be thinking about marriage."

"Mom, I think you misunderstood what we were saying last night."

"No, I heard you two loud and clear," Lynn said. "Engaged. That's all I
needed for you to say."

"Mom, we're not running out tomorrow and doing this," Justin said
quickly. "Give me a little credit." He held out his ring for his mother to
see. "This is an engagement ring, yea. We're not doing this tomorrow.
We're not even setting a date right now. We're gonna enjoy being with each
other, and getting used to living together. Then, when things are right and
we both have some time...that's when we'll officially get married...or have a
ceremony...or something."

"So, you haven't set a date," Lynn asked, a bit hopeful.

"No, there has been no date set," Justin replied with a grin.

"And you're just gonna live with each other for a while," Lynn said,
still a bit skeptical.

"Yes mom, we're gonna live together for a bit, then see how things are
and then get married." Justin looked at his mother hopefully, trying to see
a break in her armor.

"He's really good with Jonathan," Lynn said as she watched Nick in the
yard. He was chasing a rabbit around the yard as Jonathan laughed loudly,
rolling around the grass.

"One of the reasons I love him," Justin said, also looking out the
window. "He's wonderful mom."

"I know he is," Lynn said. "He's charming and attractive and nice and
caring...and loud." Justin looked at her a minute, his jaw dropping. "Both
of you...LOUD," Lynn said again. She nodded slowly. "This brings me to my
second point of the morning," Lynn said, turning away from Justin and
laughing.

"What's that," Justin asked, still shocked.

"I don't care about the two of you sharing a bed. Actually I take that
back...I care a lot." She eyed her son and then shook her head. "But I
understand you're going to be sharing a bed no matter what I think. However,
I would like to say one thing. I don't care if the two of you sleep
together. However, I would definitely prefer it if...you guys
could...um...refrain...from..."

    "No sex," Justin said flatly.

"Exactly," Lynn said with a sigh. "Or at least only quiet sex...at
night...when it's dark...and I don't have to hear...ya know."

    "The sex," Justin said prosaicaly.

"Right," Lynn said. She looked at him and groaned. "Let me go get
Jonathan. You boys be good while I'm gone please. I'll see you tonight I
guess."

"I love you mom," Justin said, kissing his mom on her cheek.

"I love you too," Lynn said, kissing him back. With that, she walked out
of the kitchen and into the yard. She picked Jonathan up off the ground as
he laughed wildly. Lynn said something to Nick, who sat up from where he was
laying and nodded. He smiled wide and turned towards the window. Seeing
Justin, he waved smally and grinned. Jonathan yelled something that made
Nick go into hysterics, running after Lynn and Jonathan. He kissed Jonathan
lightly on the cheek and jogged into the house.

"And," Nick said, trying to read Justin's expression.

"Was there ever any doubt," Justin laughed. "I tell you, my puppy dog
eyes are really good."

"Give me a break," Nick said, giggling loudly. "It went well I take it.
Your mom was really happy."

"Things went great," Justin said. He put his arms around Nick's neck and
smiled. "And they're only gonna get better."

                    *****

"What the hell are you talking about," Kevin said. He jumped off of the
couch in JC's apartment and began to walk around the room.

"Kevin, just calm down," Nick said quickly.

"You guys are engaged," Kevin said increduously. He looked back and
forth between Nick and Justin, watching as each of them nodded slowly. He
looked over at Brian and JC angrily. "Did you two know about this?"

"I didn't have a clue," Brian said, shrugging his shoulders. JC looked
over at Justin and shrugged.

"It's news to me," JC said. "But I think it's sweet. Congratulations."
He stood up and hugged Nick tightly. "And if you hurt him, I'll kill you,"
he whispered. Nick laughed a bit and nodded. JC looked over at Justin,
grinning widely. "Well, come here," he said. Justin smiled and went into
JC's arms, squeezing tightly.

    "Thank you," he whispered.

Nick walked slowly over to Brian and sat on the arm of the chair he was
sitting on. "This isn't fair. You're not supposed to be engaged before me."

"Hey, I beat ya to it," Nick laughed, placing his hand on his friend's
shoulder. "Are you ok with this," he asked seriously, trying to read into
his friends expression.

"Yea, I guess," Brian said with a shrug. "It's a lot to take in I
guess," he added, looking at the rug. "But if it makes you happy...then I'm
happy." He looked up and smiled. "I can't believe it." He reached up and
pulled Nick off the side of the chair and into his arms, hugging him tight
and kissing his cheek.

"You're crushing me," Nick laughed loudly. "And making my fiance
jealous."

"Well he'll just have to share you for a while," Brian said, squeezing
harder.

"What is wrong with you people," Kevin said above the laughter. "Do you
guys have any idea how hard this is going to be?"

"Kevin, we've always kept our relationship away from the press. This
isn't going to be any different," Justin said.

"When we decide to get married, it will be a small ceremony, with just
family and a few close friends. It won't be any time too soon," Nick said.
"Come on, even Justin's mom came around."

"Well, I'm sorry I'm not Justin's mom," Kevin said. "I'm thinking of the
practical aspects. Guys, this is not going to work!"

"Kevin, we made things work this far. We'll make it work," Nick said.

"Nick, I'm not thinking of the marriage side of this. I know how much
you guys love each other. I thinking of the business aspect of it."

"Kevin, what are you talking about," Justin said as he withdrew from JC
and sat down on the couch, where he was joined by Nick.

"Do you really think that management is going to let you guys do this,"
Kevin said. "If anyone hears about the two of you, forget about it. They
don't even like that you guys are dating. Marriage is out of the question."

"They really don't have much choice in the matter," Nick said. "No where
in our contract does it say that we can't get married."

"Nick, there's always a loop hole, you know that," Kevin said. "I mean,
I want to happy for you, but...I don't see how it's going to work."

Justin sat silently, looking at his hands that lay resting in his lap.
"Nick, it's going to work, right," he asked weakly.

"Yes, Justin. It's going to work," Nick said as he wrapped his arms
around Justin. "As much as our management may want to believe they control
us, they don't own us. Things will work out."

"You sound so sure," Kevin said.

"I am sure," Nick replied with conviction, kissing Justin lightly. "I
love Justin more than anything. I'm willing to give up everything to be with
him Kevin. I don't want it to come to that, but if it means me choosing
between him and the Backstreet Boys, then it's going to be him."

"Nick, it won't come to that," Brian said. "I'll make sure to that."

    "Me too," JC said.

All eyes turned to Kevin as he sat shaking his head. "I can't stop you.
I can't do a damned thing. But...I do want you to be happy." He looked at
everyone. "Do you think I like being the reasonable one? I hate it. I just
want to hug you too and say how happy I am that you're so in love. Because I
am...I really am." He paused and sighed loudly. "So I'll support you
however I can."

Justin stood up and walked over to Kevin, hugging him tightly. "Thank
you," he whispered. Nick watched from the couch and smiled.

"I don't even think we should tell management until the tour is over,"
Kevin said, "Then, after the two of you set a date, we'll consider our
position. Alright?"

Justin nodded against Kevin's shoulder and smiled. He looked back to
Nick and inhaled loudly. "We are going to have to tell the rest of the guys
at some point," he said.

"Let's take them out to a bar," Kevin said. "With enough
liquor...anything sounds good."

"Be serious," JC laughed. "Invite everyone over here tonight. We'll
have a little party, and then you can tell them later on."

"Good idea," Brian said. "I think if everyone finds out together,
they'll keep each other calm," Brian said.

"I'll make the phone calls," Kevin said. "Why don't you two get home and
relax. It should be an interesting night."

"Thanks," Nick said, hugging Kevin tightly. "You're the best sometimes."

"Yea, I know," Kevin replied. "We'll see you later."

                        *****

"Good morning," Robert said as he took a sip of his coffee. He watched
his wife carefully as she walked over to the counter, ignoring his greeting.
Robert sighed and put down his newspaper. "You're still angry?"

She glared at him in response, turning back to her coffee.

"Jane, try to see it from their point of you. You were the one who told
me to be more open minded when it comes to our son."

"I was wrong. Be as close minded as you want," Jane said. She drank her
coffee quickly, swallowing hard as she realized she didn't add any milk or
sugar. With a groan she placed her coffee back on the counter. "You know
what kills me? They really thought we were just going to accept it. They
thought we'd just say congratulations!"

"Well, I think I took the news pretty well," Robert said.

"Well, you're an idiot," Jane said quickly, walking out of the kitchen.

"Jane, don't talk to me like that," Robert called after her. He walked
after her and groaned. "Jane, what's your biggest problem with all of this?"

"My son is not old enough to be engaged," Jane said. "My god Robert,
what are the two of them thinking?"

"They're thinking they're in love," Robert said.

"Then they can live together, like they planned."

"Jane, they said themselves that they're not doing this anytime too soon.
They're going to live together for a while first. Honestly I think you're
being very silly."

    "I'm being what?!?"

"You're being silly," Robert repeated, sitting down on the couch, "Look,
they live together for a while. There's a good chance they may decide not to
get married. Things change when you live together. As long as their not
getting married tomorrow, I don't see what you're worrying about yet."

"Robert, they're not going to break up. Do you look at them...hear the
way they talk about each other. God that's how I used to talk about you and
look at you when we were engaged."

"And I love you as much now as I did then," Robert said as he stood up,
putting his arms around his wife. "You've made me the happiest man alive.
Do you want to keep the same happiness from Nick?"

Jane dropped her head to Robert's shoulder and sighed. "No," she
conceded. "I want him to be happy...but...but he's my baby."

"And he'll always be your baby," Robert laughed. "But your baby is also
in his twenties. And in love."

Jane sighed and nodded. "God, what if they decide they want a baby. I'm
too young to be a grandmother."

"Oh you'd love it," Robert laughed.

"Yea," Jane said, laughing as well. "I guess I would."

Robert looked down at his wife and smiled. "You, uh, want to go
upstairs?"

"Upstairs," Jane asked, arching her eyebrow. She looked into his
husband's eyes and smiled. "Oh, upstairs." She giggled lightly and tugged
on his arm. "Let's go tiger."

                        *****

"I walked in on my parents once," Chris said with a laugh. "I thought I
was going to be sick."

"Um, can we not talk about this," Nick said, holding his stomach.

"Aw, we're making little Nicky sick," Joey laughed, tossing s pillow at
him.

"Hey, don't break my house," JC said with a laugh, catching the pillow
easily.

"What, you're moving soon," Lance said. Brian and JC had just told
everyone about their plans to buy a house together. They had been happy for
them, a bit to the surprise of JC and Brian.

"Doesn't mean you can destroy this one. Something called a security
deposit," JC said with a smile, plopping down on the couch on top of Brian.

"How about some food," Devon said. I haven't eaten all day."

"Why didn't you eat," Lance said, looking at his boyfriend a little
worried.

"I kind of forgot." Lance looked at him in disbelief. "What! I was
running around a lot, and I guess my stomach didn't feel the urge to make
itself known. However, it's growling now, so food would be a good thing."

"What do you want to eat," Joey asked.

"Um, salad is good," Devon said with a shrug.

"Hell no," Lance said. "You didn't eat all day, we're putting some meat
in your mouth." Brian laughed loudly. "Perv," Lance said with a laugh.

"How about chinese food," Nick said with a smile.

"Do we even need to look at a menu," JC asked. He took out a pen and
paper and started passing it around. "Just write down what you want and I'll
order."

Five minutes later JC groaned. "We're pigs. We're a bunch of pigs." He
picked up the phone and sighed. "Christ, if anyone saw them delivering this
much food, there'd be a tabloid story the next day about our binge eating.
"Hello? Hi, I'd like to place an order to be delivered. Thanks. Yea. Ok,
we want two quarts of chicken and broccoli, a quart of beef with mushrooms,
two large orders of spareribs, two quarts of wonton soup, a quart of shrimp
with lobster sauce, a large order of sesame chicken and general tso's
chicken, a quart of szechuan chicken, no vegetables, an order of chicken chow
fun, two quarts of pork fried rice, a large chicken lo mein...no there's
more...5 shrimp rolls, 2 egg rolls, an order of fried baby shrimp...and," he
threw a look over at Devon, "a small order of steamed broccoli." Brian heard
laughter on the other end of the phone. "Oh yea, we also need a lot of white
rice. Like a gallon or something. I dunno. Do I even want to hear the
total?" JC rolled his eyes and gave his address, hanging up the phone. "I
don't think I can ever show my face in there again."

"Hey, there are 11 of us," AJ said. "I don't think we ordered too much."

"Um, right," JC said. "He got a kick out of your steamed broccoli
Devon."

"What's so strange about that," Devon said with a smile.

"Well, compared with the carnivorous order we just placed..." JC laughed.

They sat around for about half an hour before the doorbell rang. JC
jumped up as everyone looked towards the door hungrily. JC stepped back in
to the house and groaned. "Help. Some help would be nice."

Brian jumped up and walked to the door. "Oh my God," he laughed. He
stuck his head back into the room and smiled. "Nick, you come here too."
Nick threw a look at Justin and got up.

"You're joking me," Justin heard Nick's voice say.

"What's going on out there," Howie yelled.

He watched as JC entered the room again carrying two shopping bags. Then
Brian entered, carrying another two. Followed by Nick, carrying another two.
"It took the delivery guy 3 trips to his car to get all of this in."

"What did you tip him," Chris asked with a laugh.

"Twenty," JC replied. "We probably gave him a hernia."

They placed the bags on the table and unpacked them, opening the cartons.
"So this bag only has rice in it," Chris said as he opened the seventh
containor of rice.

"Um, Devon," JC said as soon as all the cartons were opened.

"JC, don't tell me," Devon said with a smirk. "Six shopping bags, a
hundred containors and..."

"No steamed brocoli," Brian said with a laugh,

"Good," Lance said. "You're gonna have to eat real food."

"Ok, I'll eat whatever you're eating," Devon said, placing his arm around
Lance's shoulder. "If you'll do every exercise I do tomorrow."

"What," Lance said. "But you do all those funky ballet ones too."

"Yea, I'm thinking of taping you trying them," Devon said. "Is it a
deal?"

"If I pull something," Lance said with a groan.

"I'll make sure everything stays in place." Devon kissed him lightly and
took a plate from JC. "So, what's going to clog my arteries first?"

                            *****

"What were we thinking ordering this much food," Howie asked as he leaned
back in his chair.

"Just wait. You'll be working it all off. Well, at least Lance will
tomorrow morning," Devon said with a smile.

"Do I have to," Lance asked with a groan, resting his head on Devon's
shoulder. "I can barely move."

"Too late, you already promised," Devon said with a grin as he tapped
Lance's nose. "You'll have fun."

"I can think of better ways to work it off," Justin said, kissing Nick's
cheek.

"We'll see you later," Nick said, jumping up and pulling Justin with him.
Brian laughed loudly and grabbed his friend's arm.

"Not yet you don't." He looked at his friends leaning back as they
rubbed their stomachs. "Anyone want some cake?"

"You have got to be kidding me," JC said with a glare. Brian smiled and
nodded.

"I couldn't fit one more thing in my stomach," Brian said, placing his
hand on JC's shoulder. "But...maybe later..."

"Ok, yea, some of us aren't getting any, so enough sexual jokes," Joey
laughed.

"Yea really, this hurts," Chris replied.

"Aw, we can get you guys some hookers or something. Maybe if you paid a
girl..." Justin suggested, a wicked grin on his face.

"Oh, now that was harsh," Kevin laughed.

"Hey, you're not getting any either Kevin," Joey said with a smirk.

"Yea, I'm also not trying to," Kevin replied.

"What about Mindy," AJ asked. "I do recall an incident in a hotel
room..."

"I still have no idea what you guys are talking about," Kevin replied,
blushing lightly.

"Oh, really," AJ said. "That's not what Mindy said."

"Excuse me," Kevin said, choking slightly on his words. "She told you?"

"Nah, you just did," AJ said, getting a high five from Howie. Kevin
turned away from them, his face bright red.

"I swear, you boys need to get some," Kevin said quietly.

"Ok, enough sex talk. There are young'uns here," Chris said, looking
towards Nick and Justin.

"Who are getting more than you ever have," Devon laugh, punching Chris's
shoulder lightly.

"Cute boyfriend you got there Lance," Chris said. "Really...adorable..."

"You love me," Devon replied confidently.

"Right," Chris replied sarcastically. "So what about a movie?"

Nick looked over at Justin and sighed. "Actually, Justin and I have
something to say," Nick said slowly. Justin nodded nervously, staring down
at his lap.

"So what's the news," Chris asked. "Is it as big as ol' JC and Brian
shacking up together?"

"Um, yea you can say that," Justin said, not looking up.

"Alright..." AJ said, dragging his words out. His eyes resting on Justin
and followed to the only motion in the young man's body-his hands ringing
around each other. Something caught his eye. "Um...J?"

"Justin and I have decided to buy a house together," Nick said quickly,
trying to avert AJ's attention.

"Oh cool," Howie said. "So, it's just like Brian and JC."

"With one notable exception," JC said absently. 'Shit,' he thought to
himself as his head snapped up and met with Justin's eyes.

"Yea, there's a little more to our news than that," Nick said, feeling
his heart rate increase.

"Nick, what are you saying," AJ asked.

"Well, Justin and I have been dating for a while now," Nick began, his
eyes resting on Justin, who gave him a smile and nodded. "So, a couple of
nights ago...I..." He paused and swallowed hard. "Wow this is hard to get
out," Nick said with a laugh.

"Justin what's your crazy ass boyfriend trying to say," Joey asked with a
smile.

    "Um," Nick said, laughing slightly.

"We're engaged," Justin blurted out. "Nick proposed and I accepted."
Justin held up his hand with a smile, revealing his ring to his friends.

    "Holy shit," AJ said.

"You guys are...what," Chris said in disbelief.

"We're...engaged," Nick replied, a bit more confidence in his voice.
"Engaged. Engaged," he said happily as he hugged Justin tightly. "We're
gonna get married."

"Is that even legal," Joey asked ignorantly.

"Well sort of. It's recognized in some places," Nick said. "Granted, I
don't think it will be church sanctioned. But we don't need everyone to
accept us as man and...um...man...wife...man..." Nick stammered. "Husband
and husband I guess. As long as we know and our friends and family know and
accept us, that's all we need."

"Kevin," AJ asked, trying to see Kevin's reaction.

"Well, I think it'll be hard," Kevin admitted. "But if they're willing
to try this, then I'm going to stand by them."

"So, you're alright with this," AJ said, standing quickly.

    "AJ, what's wrong," Howie asked.

"They're fucking engaged," AJ said. "How can they be engaged?"

"Christ, it's our parents all over again," Nick said as he sat back down
in his chair, Justin at his side.

"Dude, I'm just concerned for you," AJ said. "If this gets to the press
do you know the field day they'll have?"

"It's not going to get to the press," Nick said. "When we decide to
actually get married and set a date, it's all going to be done very
carefully. Very small ceremony, very select group of people invited. Hell,
we're even going to tell management so they make sure it's all kept private."

"Since when is anywhere we are kept secret. It's like everything is a
publicity stunt with them," AJ said, sitting back down in his chair.

"AJ, you have nothing to worry about," Justin said.

"The hell I don't," AJ barked. "This is my fucking career too. Maybe
you're not worried about something like that, but I sure as hell am!"

"Don't yell at him like that," Nick said, standing up for Justin.

"Nick fuck off," AJ said. "Yea, I'm concerned for you guys because I
think you're too young. But I'm also concerned about our careers. God,
can't you guys just wait?"

"I'm not putting my life on hold because you think it's going to cause
you an inconvenience," Nick shouted back. "I'd support you if you decided
you had the balls to take any relationship you've had to another level."

"Oh and what the hell does that mean," AJ asked harshly.

"It means you have a hell of a time being faithful to one woman. Does
Britney know that? Isn't this around your time limit for a relationship? A
few months and then goodbye, see you later?"

"You are so out of line," AJ said standing. "And I'm not gonna sit here
and listen to your childish bullshit anymore." With that he stormed out of
the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

"Well, that went well," Chris said.

"I'm sorry," JC whispered moving over to Justin. Justin sighed lightly
and nodded.

"How can he be so selfish," Nick asked.

"He's not exactly being selfish," Kevin said. Nick's head jerked up and
looked towards him. "No, don't get me wrong. I'm totally on your side here.
But just try to see it from his side of things. If your engagement gets
out, it could have some really serious connotations. He's worried that the
bands will suffer because of negative press."

"Well he should know after all this time that we're very careful." Nick
looked over at Justin and squeezed his hand.

"Well, for what it's worth, I'm happy for you," Chris said, getting up so
he could hug Justin.

"Yea, same here," Joey replied. He joined Chris as Howie walked over to
Nick.

"God, they grow up so fast," he said with a laugh, tossling Nick's hair.

Devon hugged Lance tightly. "Kind of gives you a warm cuddly feeling all
over doesn't it," he said with a grin. Lance nuzzled closer to Devon and
sighed happily.

"Makes me smile," Lance said. They looked over to the small group of
celebrating men and laughed. "Guess we should join in the hugs."

"I never turned down a good hug," Devon said as he stood, helping Lance
to his feet and hugging him tightly.

                    *****

"Welcome back everyone," Rosie said as the cameraman cued her that they
were once again on the air. "Today we have something a little special. We
here on Rosie actually dared to do it. We have both Britney Spears and
Christina Aguilera on today's show. And just incase any cat fights break
out, we have extra security." She laughed a bit at her own joke as the
audience roared. "No but seriously, here they are. The two hottest female
pop stars of today."

The audience clapped loudly as Britney entered, followed immediately by
Christina. Both of them waved enthusiastically to the crowd as they took a
seat near Rosie's desk.

"Hello ladies," she said with a wide smile.

"Hi Rosie," Christina said. She and Britney each had a small basket on
their laps. "We, um brought you cookies," she said with a slight giggle.

"You what," Rosie said, laughing loudly.

"We brought you some cookies," Britney repeated. "Southern hospitality,"
Britney said with her thickest drawl.

"Well, she's from the south...I'm from Pennsylvania," Christina said with
a shrug.

"Yea, but you guys are like on a tour together now. It must rub off,"
Rosie said. "But, oh, I thank you for the cookies," she said as she ate one.
"Wow, talented, beautiful, and can cook," Rosie laughed.

"Um...something a long those lines," Britney said. "There's actually a
story with these cookies."

"Yea...this took a few tries," Christina added.

    "What do you mean?"

"Well, we're not the most comfortable people in a kitchen," Britney said.
"And we kind of learned as we went along."

"This was the eighth batch," Christina confessed.

"What happened to the first seven," Rosie asked, looking at her audience.

"Um...they made good coasters," Britney said, blushing slightly.

"OK, so beautiful and talented," Rosie said. "Who needs to know how to
cook when there's pizza and chinese food."

    "That's the spirit," Christina said.

"Now, of course I have to ask you two. Is there any truth to the
rumored...well...um...hatred between the two of you."

"No," Britney laughed. "I mean, we argue like sisters, but nothing more
than that."

"Yea, the whole thing is pretty silly," Christina said. "The press
really will just take any bit of information and run with it."

"Besides, we baked together," Britney said, laughing loudly. "If I
didn't like her, I would've set her on fire or something," she said, throwing
a look over at Christina.

"Yea really," Christina said, her best valley girl voice on as she rubbed
the bandage around her wrist, grimacing slightly. "I would've cut her hair
while she slept or something."

"Yea," Britney said, adjusting the bandana around her hair. "Really,
there's no animosity or anything."

"Well that's good to hear. And what about the guys of N'Sync and
Backstreet Boys, who I hear are on tour with you."

"Oh, they're close," Christina said with a laugh. "Very very close."

"Yea, they're really good friends," Britney said, eyeing Christina
suspiciously.

"So everyone is getting along well," Rosie said. "Everyone behaving
themselves?"

"Well, as much as can be expected," Christina said with a smirk.

"I don't need details. Your mom is probably watching," Rosie said,
looking right into the camera. "So, when does this tour reach us here in New
York City?"

"Well, right now we're on a short break," Britney said, but we'll be
kicking it back into gear next week. We should be up here in two weeks or
so."

"Wow, that's great. You guys will all have to stop by my show when
you're here." She looked at her audience and got an odd look in her eye.
"On second thought, with Backstreet Boys and N'Sync in one place at one time,
every teenage girl might hunt this place down and hold us hostage." She
looked over at Britney and Christina and shrugged. "Send me a postcard!"

Britney laughed loudly at Rosie's joke and looked over Christina who
offered a faint smile. "Well, right after this commercial break, we'll have
a special performance from these two girls. This is a once in a lifetime
opportunity guys. Stay tuned and we'll be right back!"

                                    *****

Nick lay on Justin's bed, reclining comfortably as Justin lay on top of
his back, playing with his hair gently. "These two are too funny," he
commented, watching Britney and Christina on the television.

"I'm surprised they just don't kill each other already," Justin said.

"Britney would win in a cat fight," Nick said confidently.

"I don't know about that," Justin said. Christina was pretty tough on
the Mickey mouse Club."

"Well, hopefully we won't find out," Nick said with a smile as he turned
over so that Justin now rested on his stomach. "I cannot believe we're
engaged," he said with a wide smile.

"Why not? You're not having second thoughts, are you," Justin asked
nervously, propping himself up on his elbows on either side of Nick.

"Not on your life," Nick said. "I don't care what anyone thinks. I love
you, and you love me. That's all I need to know."

Justin smiled and brought his lips down to meet Nick's. He stayed there
for a moment before resting his head on Nick's shoulder and breathing
lightly. "We don't have to get out of bed for a while ya know," he said
absently, his fingers running through Nick's hair.

"Door's already locked," Nick said with a grin.

"Mom's working. Jonathan's at day care," Justin replied.

"Lights out," Nick laughed as he went in for another kiss.

                                    *****
