"N SYNC: LANCE 'N' JC

CHAPTER SIX

From Part Five...

"I love you, JC." Justin whispered. "I don't know if I can live
without you."
Outside in the hall, JC fell back against the wall and took a deep
breath. He squeezed his eyes shut, felt the tears run down his face. 'God
did I have to be so cruel to Justin? Just because he loves me... he kissed
me. Justin kissed me... and dammit I liked it. That can never, never happen
again.' He swore to himself. He loved Lance and he would never hurt
him. But what about Justin?

---
PART SIX

Lance sat in the room waiting for JC to return. He turned the TV
on, but within moments his mind had wandered far away. 'I have to be
patient with Justin,' He told himself. 'This has got to be terrible for
him. What if our situation was reversed: what if I was struggling to come
out only to find that JC was in love with Justin?' Lance winced at even the
thought of how devastated he would be. To work up the nerve to confess your
love and find that he loves someone else -- and worse yet you were trapped
where you had to face the two of them every day of your life for the
foreseeable future. Poor Justin, talk about a living hell. How could anyone
-- much less a guy barely 18 -- be expected to accept a situation like that
gracefully?
But what could he do to help? Not much, it seemed, except be
understanding and caring and low- key about his relationship with JC. When
it came down to it, Lance wondered why JC was attracted to him and not
Justin. Justin was better looking, more talented, funny, charming... JC had
even known him longer. 'Well, this is only depressing me!' He thought,
trying to pay attention to the TV. It was an old Star Trek episode he
hadn't seen since he was a kid: The Enterprise was escorting a telepathic
woman and an alien ambassador who was friendly but it's non-corporeal form
was so ugly that to see it made people go insane. Spock was mind mending
with Ambassador Kolos and the alien had a very moving line about "...how
lonely humans must be, imprisoned in their separate shells of flesh..."
Justin must be feeling terribly lonely right now, Lance
thought. For a moment he felt a twinge of anxiety thinking about JC going
to see him. 'What if JC changes his mind and decides he does want to be
with Justin and not me?' Lance clenched his fists and swallowed hard. 'Stop
it you dummy! You're just being a worry-wart. JC says he loves YOU and that
he would be faithful to YOU, what more can you want? Don't be jealous. You
have to trust him, like you've always trusted him as a friend. He's never
let you down before, never.' Lance sighed and forced himself to relax a
little. But he wanted JC to come back soon. He needed to feel those strong
arms around him again.

JC leaned against the wall for several minutes, his eyes clamped
shut, while he pulled himself together. He forced himself to analyze his
feelings for Justin versus those he had for Lance.
Sure Justin had grown up to be a really hot guy, and JC wouldn't
deny that he'd checked out his friend more than once. If you were being
totally objective, you might say Justin was sexier than Lance, or more
handsome, but it just wasn't the same. He cared deeply for his friend, but
he had never craved an intimacy with him like he did with Lance. There was
something very special about Lance, a vulnerability, an honesty and
openness that made him so appealing -- not to mention a certain endearing
lack of coordination... JC smiled to himself.
He thought about their last tour, on the bus at night as it hurtled
down the endless highways. How he would lie in his bunk and think about
Lance, sleeping just a few feet away. His body would actually ache with the
desire to be close to Lance, to crawl into that cramped space and wrap his
arms around him and hold him tight, to feel the warmth of his body, hear
his deep voice murmuring softly. Some nights he felt so lonely, even though
his friends were all around him. He would tell himself how futile his wish
was: Lance wasn't gay, Lance would never feel the same way he did, so why
didn't he just get over it! JC would mentally beat himself up until he
would curl up in a ball and cry half the night away, sobbing into his
pillow so no one else would hear.
And now that impossible wish had come true, and these last few days
with Lance had been more wonderful than his wildest fantasies. No one could
ask for a more caring human being as their partner. He loved Lance with all
his heart; would die before he hurt him. The kiss with Justin was a
momentary thing; it had been pleasurable, but it wasn't his Lance.
JC felt badly for Justin, but they would all just have to work
through this. He wiped the tears from his face, composed himself, and
walked slowly back to his room.

Lance was sitting up on the bed, watching TV, but he turned it off
the minute JC entered.
"How did it go?" He asked with concern.
"Not too good." JC sighed and climbed onto the bed next to
Lance. "I think I made it worse."
"I'm sorry." Lance put his arm around JC and eased his head down
onto his chest, gently caressing his soft brown hair. "At least you
tried. Do you want to talk about it?"
JC wrapped his arm around Lance and hugged him. "Not right now. I
just want to be close to you. I wish we could just shut out the whole
world. I wish... I almost wish we could go back to that beach and be alone,
just you and me."
"I know what you mean." Lance smiled. 'Just you and me, JC.'
"I actually thought that breaking this to the other guys would be
the easy part compared to our families." Lance said after a few minutes of
just enjoying his lover's nearness.
"Well, who knew Justin was gay too?" JC muttered.
	 "Maybe he's just confused."
"Maybe." JC said flatly, though it was clear to Lance that he
didn't believe that possibility. "Anyway, how much time do we have?"
Lance looked at his watch. "We have to be downstairs in an hour. At
some point I have to call my parents. Oh, and there was a message: Justin's
mom called. She was hoping you would call Jonathan; he's worried about you
and still isn't sleeping well."
"Oh jeez. That won't be awkward or anything." JC mumbled sleepily,
even as he pressed his face against Lance's chest. They laid together in
silence for a few minutes more.
	"Are you comfortable, Josh?"
"Very." JC smiled. "And I like it when you call me 'Josh'."
Lance laid his head back on the piled-up pillows and closed his
eyes. It felt so nice just to lie here and feel JC next to himÉ
Both boys jumped as the phone rang and dragged them back from their
blissful half-sleeping state.
"I'm not answering that." JC growled.
Lance just gave him his 'now let's be reasonable' smile and picked
up the phone. "Hello?"
"Lance? I thought I was calling JC's room."
"Yes it's Lance. JC is here too. What's up, Alex?" His tone was
pleasant as always, but he rolled his eyes.
"I've been on the phone with Johnny, and after the interview today
we realized that maybe we are pushing you guys a little too hard,
especially after the whole boat accident thing. So we've arranged for you
to take the rest of today and all tomorrow off. We'll stay in Hawaii an
extra day and finish the video filming; we can put off the rest of the
studio work."
"Wow, that's great! Thanks, Alex!" Lance said sincerely.
"See I'm not all bad." Alex laughed. "Enjoy your time off, and be
sure to use sunscreen, paleface."
"I will, bye!" Lance hung up the phone, a smile on his face. He
wrapped his arms around JC and snuggled up next to him again. "Guess what,
Josh?" He asked softly.
"If I didn't know Alex better, I'd guess that we had the afternoon
off." JC replied skeptically, sitting up a little.
"Somebody's on our side then, because we have today AND tomorrow
off!" Lance grinned and gave his lover a little kiss.
"Oh baby that's GREAT!" JC hugged Lance back and gave him a big wet
smooch. "Let's just stay in here the whole time and make out!"
"Oh man!" Lance laughed. "Are you horny ALL the time?"
"Only when I'm thinking of you."
"You sure know how to make a guy feel good." Lance said softly,
looking into JC's dreamy eyes.
Just then they heard whoops and hollers echoing down the hall.
"Sounds like Chris just got the good news." JC whispered. "If we
stay real quiet, maybe he'll leave us alone."

Joey stood at Justin's door and knocked softly. After not getting
an answer, he said, "Curly, I know you're in there, I just want to talk to
you for a second."
Finally the door opened a crack. "What?" Justin peered at him out
of the darkness.
"Lemme in, fool." Joey snapped, shoving the door open.
"Oh, fine," Justin whined, "Everyone just disrespect me and barge
into my room then!" He sat on the bed then flopped backwards on the
blankets.
"Nice digs," Joey commented, surveying the dim room, which looked
like a tornado had hit it. Clothes and shoes were strewn
everywhere. Justin had closed the curtains again so it was almost dark
despite the sun outside.
"Don' be schoolin' me about housekeepin, Joey. What yo' want?"
Justin's pseudo-ebonics slang always got the worst when he was
posturing, Joey knew. "Well, in case you didn't know since you don't answer
your phone, we have the rest of today and tomorrow off. Chris and I were
wondering if you wanted to come down to the pool and hang with us."
Justin rolled over on his side so he was facing away from
Joey. "What about JC and Lance?"
"I haven't asked them yet. Should I?" He said more gently, sitting
on the bed.
"What diff' does it make? Nobody cares what I think or how I feel."
"That's not true and you know it. JC, Lance, Chris and I all care
about you."
In response Justin's arm snapped around and he stuck his palm in
the general direction of Joey's face. "Talk to the hand, Joey, 'cause the
face don' wanna hear it! I already been handed the Heisman once today!"
"Alright, that's enough of your self-pitying bullshit!" Joey
grabbed his wrist and hauled Justin up to face him. He didn't know what to
expect, but he wasn't ready for the anguished face and the swollen,
red-rimmed eyes.
"Oh god, Curly, you got it bad, don't you?" He said
sympathetically.
Justin managed to nod before breaking down again in sobs.
Joey roughly pulled the teenager against him and hugged him. "Jeez
man I'm sorry. I knew this thing with Lance and JC was gonna hit you hard
but not this hard."
"So you know 'bout that." Justin whimpered, now holding onto Joey
for dear life.
"Yeah, I kinda figured what was going on. I guess you did too. But
why are you so upset, man? It's not like JC isn't going to be your friend
anymore." Joey decided he'd let Justin tell him the rest when he was ready
to.
"I know, but..." Justin grew very still and tense in Joey's
arms. "I realized that I wanted to be more than friends with JC."
"More than friends like... lovers?" Joey prodded after a long
pause.
"Yah. Please don't think I'm a freak, Joey!"
"If you're comin' out to me, Curly, I'm afraid you're gonna have to
think of something else if you want me to think you're a freak, 'cause that
don't cut it. You still have to be my bud." Joey said, careful not to
loosen his grip on Justin.
"Thanks Joey. So you're not like, grossed out?"
"I better not be or I wouldn't have any friends left but Chris!
Talk about scary."
"You got a point there, dude." Justin laughed nervously, easing up
on his hug.
"So you want to talk about this?"
"I dunno, what's to say?" Justin slumped back against the
headboard. "JC's in love with Lance, Lance is in love with JC, and Justin
don't fit in that equation."
"Well, maybe not, but so much has happened in the last few days
that I think we all need some time to sort stuff out. The one thing I know
is that the five of us have been together as close buddies for four years,
and I'm not about to let anything stop me from caring about each of you."
Justin didn't answer but smiled a little. Then he finally said
"It's kinda strange, isn't it, all this happening at once."
"It's not really all at once, though is it?" Haven't you kinda
known for a while?"
Justin narrowed his eyes a little at Joey as he began to fully
appreciate his friend's keen perception. "That I was... gay? Or that I
had these feelings for JC?"
Joey shrugged. "Either one. Seems to me like they kinda go
together."
"Well, I really looked up to JC ever since I was 12 in MMC. He was
my only friend at the beginning, and it got real lonely sometimes --
especially when we toured. But I guess that as I got older I started to
feel kinda different. And I sorta had crushes on guys, though I didn't know
that's what it was at the time." Justin paused for a moment, his fingers
clutching nervously at the sheets. "I think I kinda knew, but being... that
way just wasn't acceptable. I was brought up taught that homosexuality was
a sin and evil and all that stuff. I still don't understand how it happened
-- why I am this way. I've prayed so many times over it but I was always
scared to talk to a minister; I couldn't tell anybody. I just hoped I would
grow out of it or somethin. But time went on, and I dated girls but nuthin
happened, you know? It got obvious even to me that I wasn't just shy, but I
jus' didn't want to kiss them or do anything like that. Then I'd have these
dreams... that JC and I were messin around, like we would --"
"Okay!" Joey held up his hand. "Too much information!" I love you
man but I don't want to hear your love shack fantasies with JC -- any more
than you want to hear about mine with Jennifer Lopez."
	"I hear that!" Justin agreed.
"So are you gonna come outta this cave and catch some rays with us
or not? We can check out the babes -- guy babes in your case -- and chill."
"Okay dude, and you can ask the other guys too if you want; just so
they don't throw it in my face, okay?"
Joey smiled in relief and got up. "I think they know better, but
I'll tell 'em no PDA by the pool. Hey, you wanna invite your friend Terry
to come with? Then we'd have an even number for chicken fights in the
pool!"
	"Mmmaybe." Justin smiled. "Hey Joe?"
"Yeah?" Joey paused at the door.
"Thanks man, I 'preciate you carin'."
"You'd do the same for me, kid. See yah downstairs." Joey winked at
him and left to get ready.

"Hello?" Diane Bass answered the phone in her soft southern drawl.
"Mom? Hi, it's your number one son!" Lance smiled when he heard his
mother's voice. JC was sitting on the bed next to him, scribbling some
ideas for song lyrics.
"Honey I'm so glad you called! Your father and I have been sick
with worry; we almost flew out there, but thank God they found you so
quickly. That Alex person telephoned to tell us everything was okay, but
it's so nice to hear it from you."
"I'm sorry mom, I should have called sooner, but it has just been
really crazy here. A lot is going on."
"Are you sure you aren't hurt? Did they have doctors check you
out?" Concern crept into her voice.
"I'm great mom, really. JC and I are none the worse for wear, and
now we're just getting caught up after our little 'vacation.' Actually I'm
doing really great, honest. It's so beautiful here..." Lance reached out
and placed his hand over JC's. Their eyes met and JC gave him a
heart-melting smile. "I'm having a wonderful time, really."
"That's good dear, I keep hearing how lovely and exotic Hawaii
is. And you sound happy!"
"Some day you and dad and Tracy will all have to come out here and
see it." Lance said, winking at JC.
"I don't know honey, it might not be the right place for us simple
Mississippi folk. Maybe some summer when school is out. But I'm sure you
need to go. I'll let your father and Tracy know you called. Give our love
to JC and the other boys, and we're praying for your safe return."
"Love you mom." Lance hung up the phone and immediately JC crawled
up next to him and began to nuzzle his neck. "Mom sends her love." Lance
said then trembled from the feeling of JC's lips on his skin. "I'm not sure
she would if she knew what you were doing right now, though..." he added
with a smirk.
JC threw a leg and an arm over Lance and pulled him close. "I'm
sure she'll get over it..." He whispered, between his playful kisses of
Lance's ear and jaw... "When she sees how happy you make me."
"Mmmmm... not as happy as you make me." Lance purred. "You're
turning me on, Joshua." He squirmed around as his penis began to harden
uncomfortably in his briefs.
"Here, maybe I can help you with that." JC boldly slid his hand
down into the blonde's pants and wrapped his hand around Lance's swelling
cock.
"Ohhh baby!" Lance groaned, shivering with pleasure.
"You are so incredibly hot." JC growled, his kisses becoming more
intense on Lance's neck and shoulders.
	Then the phone rang... again.
"I swear I am going to rip that thing out of the wall!" JC
snarled. But he didn't take his hand out of Lance's pants, instead he
gently massaged the pulsing thickness.
Lance picked it up with a sigh. "This better be good!" He said into
the receiver.
"Uh, hello, lovebirds!" Joey said cheerily. "I hope I called at a
really bad time!"
"The worst!" Lance snapped half-jokingly, then had to bite back a
groan as JC's stroking sent waves of rapture through his body. "Wassup?" He
managed to ask conversationally.
"The rest of us are going down to the west pool to hang for a while
and catch some rays. Wanna come?"
JC stealthily unbuttoned and unzipped Lance's jeans, then wrapped
his fingers around the waistband of the jeans and his black CK
boxer-briefs. Then he began to ease them down over Lance's muscled
thighs...
"Uhhh, ummm, let me ask JC." Lance stammered. He put his hand over
the phone and looked down in panic at JC who was smiling wickedly back at
him. "Joey wants so know if we want to go to the pool with the guys." At
that moment JC freed Lance's huge cock from his briefs and it smacked up
against his belly before pointing up at an acute angle.
"We can if you want... in a half hour or so. I have something to
finish first."
Lance smiled self-consciously, then spoke into the phone, "Okay
Joey we'll see you guys in half an hour or so at the west pool."
JC laved Lance's big balls with his tongue, then began to lick and
kiss the thick cock-roots...
"Okay! I have one request though." Joey said.
At that moment JC levered himself up and took half of Lance's big
cock into his mouth in one gulp.
	"Whaaaat?" Lance moaned.
"Justin's still kinda sensitive about you guys of course, so try
not to flaunt it, okay?"
"Ohhhh, okay J-joey. We'll play it cool of course!"
	"Thanks, man."
	"Guh-guh-gotta go, Joe." *CLICK*
"'Gotta cum' sounded more like it!" Joey snickered to himself and
hung up the phone.
Lance tried to sit up but JC gently pressed him back down. He
pulled himself off of Lance's cock long enough to say "This is my treat
baby. Just lie back and enjoy it. I want to pay you back for the shower
this morning!" He winked.
'But I liked the shower too,' Lance thought with a smile, even as
JC began to lick and stroke him again. Lance had loved the incredible
feeling of JC inside him, and the energy when Josh came was almost like
electricity between them.
Even as he remembered this acute pleasure, Lance felt JC slide a
finger between his butt-cheeks. It gently teased his puckered anus -- still
a little tender from this morning's sex -- and sent waves of ecstasy
through his body. He spread his legs to allow JC more access; Josh switched
back to licking his hairless ball-sack while slowly pumping the shaft;
precum oozed from the tip to lubricate his stroking. Lance pulled his legs
up further and he felt JC's tongue dive even further to the sensitive area
at the base of his balls. Then he felt the older boy's tongue slither along
his ass crack.
"Oh man!" He gasped as JC's tongue poked against his anus. The
pleasure was unbelievable! But it was... dirty. "What are you doing? You
don't have to do that!"
JC stopped and looked up. "You don't like it?"
"Well, actually, it feels really good, but isn't it... gross?"
"You just took a shower a few hours ago, Scoop, you're nice and
clean." He smiled.
"How did you know about doing that?" Lance furrowed his delicate
brows.
"I read about it somewhere on the internet. It's called 'rimming'."
JC smirked. "Here, roll on your stomach, babe."
Lance willingly complied. JC paused to admire his lover's beautiful
body, sprawled across the bed so sexily. Then he crawled between Lance's
legs, spread his muscled ass cheeks and began to lap Lance's almost
hairless crack. He was immediately rewarded with a long low groan of
pleasure from the blonde.
"Ohhh god... that feels great." Lance moaned as JC flicked his
tongue around his pink anus, then began to probe with his pointed tip. He
slid his hand under Lance to stroke his rock-hard cock again and the
younger boy bucked up to allow him easier access. Lance was literally
whimpering from the intense pleasure as JC forced his tongue into his
spasming hole. He began to stroke faster while licking and probing Lance's
ass.
"Oh god, oh god, JC I'm gonna cummmmm!" Lance cried in a strained
voice. His ass clamped tight and his body arched. JC pumped his steely rod
faster as he felt it began to pump out streams of ropy white cum across the
bedspread.
After he had milked the last drops from Lance's softening cock, JC
climbed on top of his buddy and they both flopped down on the bed with a
sigh.

"Well here they come!" Chris waved from the poolside as Lance and
JC emerged from the hotel. He, Joey and Justin were sprawled out on big
comfy-looking chaise lounges, with two empty ones next to Joey. Each had a
tall drink next to him. Justin was wearing baby-blue Abercrombie surf
trunks, while Joey had on black trunks and Chris wore a white t-shirt and
jeans shorts. Lance and JC had (coincidentally) matching black Tommy trunks
and Wayfarers, and JC was wearing a wifebeater. By the time they got to
their chairs, a pool boy brought them towels and asked if he could get them
drinks.
"What are you having, Curly?" JC asked, trying to break the ice.
"A frozen strawberry Daiquiri, virgin of course!" Justin smiled
from behind his little rectangular sunglasses. "And it is dee-licious!"
"I'll have that!" JC nodded to the attendant.
"I'll just have a large iced tea, please." Lance added.
They got themselves situated; Lance adjusted the umbrella on his
chair so he was out of the sun. "You guys be careful! You know the sun in
Hawaii is much more intense than in Orlando 'cause we're nearer the
equator."
"Yes, mommy, you've told us that at least five times on this trip
already!" Chris teased. "So what took you guys so long? And after all this
time you come out looking like a cross between the Bobsey Twins and 'the
Blues Brothers go to the Beach'!"
"I had to call my mom." Lance said quickly.
Joey turned to Justin. "So I guess Terry couldn't join us?" He
asked softly.
"I called and went by his room but no answer. He had a big project
to finish up for the label, and then he had to get seriously started on our
new web page."
"Well, maybe he can come out tomorrow. I bet if we leaned on Alex
we could get him some down time."
"Yeah, he works to hard, especially when we're in a place like
this!"
They made small talk for awhile, and everyone (except poor Chris
who was still in the dark) was relieved when things seemed almost back to
normal between the five friends. The tension eased and soon they were
laughing and joking like they usually did. They talked about the video for
"I Drive Myself Crazy" they were going to shoot in LA, and ideas for videos
for other songs on their album.
"I can't wait to get on that big sailboat day after tomorrow to
film!" Joey exclaimed. "It sounds really cool!"
"Ugh, I can wait!" Lance groaned.
"Well, at least they are going to take a lot of precautions: we're
each going to have an inflatable life vest where it can't be seen, or we'll
be lashed to the boat, or both." Joey tried to sound reassuring. "And no
more storms!"
"I'll just stay on the shore, and they can digitally insert me
later." Lance suggested.
"Actually, they could probably do that!" Justin sat up
excitedly. "Terry was showin' me some stuff from the new Star Wars, it's
amazing how they can combine things now."
"I can't wait for the new movie!" JC jumped in. I think Ewan
MacGregor as young Obi-wan is gonna be cool.
"And that Darth Maul looks way bad with his double lightsaber!"
Justin added.
JC peeled off his wifebeater and rolled onto his stomach. "Lance,
would you put some lotion on my back?" He asked quietly, but Justin
noticed. He couldn't help watching as Lance massaged the lotion into JC's
skin, wishing he was the one running his hands over his sinewy body...
Lance tried to do it quickly and efficiently, but he could feel
Justin's gaze on them.
Finally Justin stood up. "I'm going for a swim." He said curtly,
flinging his sunglasses on the lounge.
"I'll go with yah." Joey stood.
JC and Lance looked at each other sadly as they walked away. Things
weren't going to get back to normal that easily.
