Chapter 15 Dirty

Lance drove the kids to the club Dinah told Sarah about. Everyone
seemed excited to go, but all had their own individual reasons. When they
pulled up, the teens piled out. Dinah was greeted by a young African
American boy.
	"Hi, Barry!"
	"Hey, Dinah! What's up?"
"Not much. Been a little busy."
"I know. We haven't seen you in forever." He looked at the other
teens and realized he had never met them before. "Who're your peeps?"
"Oh, this is Clark, Diana, Preston, Randy, and Sarah. And that's
Lance, Sarah and Preston's dad."
"Nice to meet you," Lance said sticking out his hand.
Barry took it and shook it. "Nice to meet you, too."
"I'll be back at midnight to get you guys," Lance said. "If you
want to leave earlier, call and someone will be out to get you."
"We'll be fine, Daddy. You and dad have a good night."
Lance smiled and watched as his children entered the club. Then,
he drove off.

The group entered the club and patrons near the door turned to
watch Dinah. She was a performer and was popular among the club circuit.
"Where are my clothes?" she asked Barry.
	"In the back. Let's go."
"Find a table," Dinah said to Sarah. "I'll be back."
The group made their way through the club. Preston looked around
at the throngs of people wondering how many of them might be vampires. He
still couldn't believe they existed. His eyes caught sight of a young,
red-headed man, perhaps a year or two older than him, who was staring at
him and Sarah. His eyes locked with the red-head and he stood mesmerized.
A group of people walked between them and broke the eye contact. When the
space cleared, the red-head was no longer in sight.
"Come on," Randy said to Preston grabbing his arm. "We've got to
find a place to sit!"
Moving through the throng of people, they finally found a table and
sat.
"I've never been in a club before," Clark said. "Back in
Smallville, we really don't have anything like this. The nearest thing is
in Wichita Falls, which is a good two-hour drive."
"They are awesome!" Randy stated. "I love them! I could live in a
club!"
Something on stage caught everyone's attention and they saw Barry
standing up at the microphone. Dinah came out dressed in a short leather
jacket, leather bustier, and fishnet stockings with black leather boots
that went to her knees.
"Why are you wearing that?" Sarah asked. Then she noticed the
microphone and headset on Dinah's head.

Barry started talking into the microphone and Dinah repeated what
he said.

	Dirty
	Filthy
	Nasty
Too dirty to clean my act up
If you ain't dirty... you ain't here to party!

	Then Dinah began her song:

Ladies move, gentlemen move Barry: Somebody ring the alarm
A fire on the roof Dinah: Ring the alarm Barry: (And I'm throwin
elbows) Dinah: I said ring the alarm Barry: (And I'm throwin elbows) Dinah:
Ring the alarm Barry: (And I'm throwin elbows)

Dinah: Ooh, I'm overdue
Gimme some room, I'm comin' through
Paid my dues, I'm in the mood
Me and my girls gonna shake the room
	DJ's spinnin (show your hands)
And let's get dirty (that's my jam)
I need that ... to get me off
Sweatin' till my clothes come off

Dinah moved throughout the room as she sang getting the patrons
riled up and in the mood to dance. The teens at the table got up and
danced as well, although Clark had a really hard time with the moves.
Diana sat and observed the people, mesmerized by the way they danced.

	It's explosive, speakers are thumpin'
Still jumpin', 6 in the morning
	Table dancin', glasses are crashin'
No question, time for some action!

Temperature's up (Can you feel it?)
	'Bout to erupt (so get)
	Gonna get my girls
	Get your boys
	Gonna make some noise...

	Gonna get rowdy
	Gonna get a little unruly
Get it fired up in a hurry

It's about time that I came to start the party
	Sweat drippin' over my body
Dancin' gettin' just a little naughty
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time for my arrival

	Ahh, heat is up
So ladies, fellas, drop your cups
Body's hot from front to back
Move your ass, I like that

Tight hip huggers (low fo' sho')
Shake a little somethin' (On the floor)
I need that ... to get me off
Sweatin' till my clothes come off

Let's get open, cause a commotion
We're still goin', 8 in the morning
There's no stoppin', we keep it poppin'
	Hard rockin', everyone's talkin'

Be all you got (give it to me)
	Just hit the spot
	Gonna get my girls
	Get your boys
	Gonna make some noise...

	Rowdy
	Gonna get a little unruly
Get it fired up in a hurry
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time that I came to start the party
	Sweat drippin' over my body
Dancin' gettin' just a little naughty
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time for my arrival

It's the one you been waitin' on
	Get up, get it up
	Yo, that's what's up
Givin' just what you want to the maximum
	Uh oh
	Here we go

You can tell when the music starts to drop
That's when we take it to the parking lot
And I betcha somebody's gonna call the cops
	Uh oh's, here we go's
	Ohh... yeahh...

	Gonna get rowdy
	Gonna get a little unruly
Get it fired up in a hurry
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time that I came to start the party
	Sweat drippin' over my body
Dancin' gettin' just a little naughty
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time for my arrival

	Gonna get rowdy
	Gonna get a little unruly
Get it fired up in a hurry
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time that I came to start the party
	Sweat drippin' over my body
Dancin' gettin' just a little naughty
	Wanna get dirty
It's about time for my arrival

	Wanna get rowdy
	Let's get a little unruly
Wanna get dressed in a hurry
	Let's get dirty
It's about time that I came to start the party
	Let's get a little unruly
Wanna get dressed in a hurry
	Let's get dirty
It's about time for my arrival

Lance entered the cave and saw Jessica and me changing into our
costumes. Justin sat at Oracle looking over the readout Oracle had on
Clark's origins.
"This is the damnedest thing I had ever seen," Justin said. "He's
actually from another planet."
"That shouldn't be too hard to understand. Look at what happened
with us on Eric and my honeymoon."
"Yeah, the trip to outspace. That was some crazy shit."
"I still find it hard to believe we did that."
"I know," I replied as I pulled off the lightsaber attached to my
belt. I ignited the red blade and waved. "If it weren't for our two
little souvenirs, I wouldn't believe it myself."
I turned the blade off and placed it back on my belt. "So where is
this club?" I asked.
Lance gave me the location and Huntress and I climbed into the
mobile.
"We won't be there too long," Huntress said. "We've got a lot of
patrolling to do, especially after the dinner attack. We still don't know
who those vampires were working for."
"Vampires don't usually attack dinner parties."
We closed the doors and ignited the engine and, within moments,
were driving out of the cave.

On the roof of the club, a pointy-eared, masked man made his way to
the hatch to sneak into the club. He didn't want anyone to see his
entrance so this would be his best bet.
"Going somewhere," I said as I climbed onto the roof.
Catman spun around from his work on the hatch and narrowed his eyes
at me. "What are you doing here?"
"Out looking for you. Tell me, are the one behind the vampire
attack at the Bass home?"
	"What are you talking about?"
"You're the vampire. You've been around for a long time. It was
you who killed the mother of the children who stay at that home. And,
suddenly, you're back after a little over a decade. Looks to me like you
came back to finish the job."
Catman just stood there staring at me as if he were shocked by what
I said. Then, after a moment, "You're lying! It was you who killed her!"
Then he lunged at me, claws extended and ready to kill.
I jumped over him as he dove for me. I rolled on the rooftop,
stood, and turned as he stumbled and recovered. He grabbed his whip and
swung it around a few times, getting momentum. Then he let it fly at me.
I ducked and it snapped just above my head. He then threw snapped it again
and it wrapped around my ankle. I pulled hard and toppled me over. I
landed with a thump. No doubt the people below couldn't hear me as there
was a loud rendition of Christina Aguilera's "Dirty" going on below.
Without warning several vampires jumped up on the roof and snarled
at us.
	"These your boys?" I asked.
One of the vampires grabbed Catman and picked him up by the throat.
Catman struggled to break free. Then, to my amazement, he pulled out a
cross and held it up to the creature's face. The creature released him and
stepped back. Catman then looked around, pulled his whip out and wrapped
it around the vampire's neck. He then slid between the creature's legs and
slid down the roof to the edge. The vampire flipped over and tried
grabbing the metal sheeting. His weight served to slow the descent of
Catman, who landed safely on the ground.
"Going somewhere?" Huntress said to the masked man.
"You're friend is about to be eaten by several vampires. You can
either fight me or save him. The choice is yours."
Without warning, the vampire that slowed his descent toppled over
the edge and fell on top of him. Huntress watched as Catman hit and kicked
at the vampire but to no avail. 'He's not a vampire,' Huntress realized.
She pulled out a stake and plunged it into the vampire's heart through his
back. It turned to dust and she reached her hand out to Catman. "Are you
okay?"
Catman swatted her hand out of the way and scrambled to his feet.
Hearing a loud thump up above, Huntress decided to help her friend while
Catman disappeared into the night.
