I am here at there and Lance Bass's request, May I come in............... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6: I stood there in the door in total shock. "Sure, come in" I said. Peter McCain walked in and I lead him to the den and I sat on the sofa and him on the chair just across from me. "Mr. Taylor, let me explain, there is no problem here, at Lance's request and to fill the need that their management had, I am here to offer you a job. The Firm has wanted to add a counselor to the boys touring staff and Lance knew of this. He explained to me what happened at your last job and based on the information we have been able to obtain you seem to be the type of person we are looking for." Peter stopped there and looked at me like he was waiting for some type of intelligent response from me. I could not for the life of me say anything. I am in total shock, here this guy is, offering me a job to be with Lance all the time and I cannot speak. I finally came around and said "OK, tell me about what you are looking for me to do and........" I trailed off because of the huge grin he had. "What's so funny" I asked? "Well evidently Lance was as secretive as ever, I know that because of the look you gave me at the door and then again when we sat down and explained why I was here, you did not know he has done this, huh" he replied. " I am totally in the dark here" I replied. "Well let me clue you in" he replied " I know about Lance and how he feels about you. When he asked me to do this I asked him if you were special and he told me more than JC was and that suprised me. Him and JC were inseparable, so when he told me you meant more to him than JC, I knew you were something special to him. After I did the investigation on you I found out that a lot of people think you are special, especially your old boss. She was quite praising of you and I think Lance is totally right about you and I hope you will come to work for me and the guys." He stopped, set back and looked at me. "Well, Peter", I replied "I think Lance is a special person as well. Now, one question I have, What will I be doing for the guys? You seem to know about my relationship with Lance, so you know, he is trying to get his boyfriend with him." "Well, Tam", Peter replied, "I know Lance well enough to know that I trust his judgment. Now as far as what you will be doing, it is simple, you will go on tour with them, and when the pressure of touring gets too much the 6 of you will sit down and you will help them work through the problems. All we ask is that you keep everything confidential and if you are asked why you are with them you tell them that you are there to help the guys with any touring problems. We also ask that you and Lance refrain from any public displays of affection. In other words no kissing or hand hold in public. You will travel on the same bus as the guys and will room with them, that way you know exactly what is going on." "Do the rest of the guys know about this" I asked. "Why don't you ask them yourself" he replied. At that moment there was a knock on the door and the door opened and I heard Lance call my name. "Tam" Lance called "In the living room, Lance" I replied. Lance walked in and came straight over and sat down next to me and kissed me hard on the lips. "I missed you, baby" Lance said. "I missed you too" I replied I heard some chuckling and looked up and saw JC and the rest of the group. Lance stood up and introduced the rest of the gang.. "You know JC, this is Justin, this is Chris, and the one how cannot decide on a hair color is Joey. Lance said. "Hello guys, JC it is good to see you again" I replied. Lance and I sat down again and the guys all found places to sit. "Well Peter, if you are here you have just presented the job offer to Tam" JC asked. "Yes JC, I did and his response was how do you guys feel about him coming on tour with you and his relationship with Lance" Peter replied. "Well, it is too soon to tell for all of us but JC and Lance since they have gotten to know him" Chris replied "But none of us mind him going on tour with us, it will give us a chance to get to know him" Joey said. "Well, I guess it is all settled, I'll take the job" I said. Lance leaned over and kissed me quickly on the lips. Peter interrupted us from going further be asking me a question. "Tam, are you curious about the salary and benefits" Peter asked? "I think he likes the benefits" Justin said Lance reached over and slapped him on the back of the head. "Watch the hair Scoop" Justin whined. "Now back to the topic on hand, all your travel, rooms and meals while on tour will be paid for by the Firm. You will have a corporate credit card for meals and rental cars if necessary, and your salary will be $150,000 per tour." Peter replied. "Did you say $150,000" I asked. "I know it not allot, but hopefully if 'No Strings Attached' does well, maybe next tour it can be more." Peter replied. "No, it's fine, It's more than I made at my last job." I replied. "Well I think I am going to leave, there will be a messenger by in the morning with the contracts and secrecy agreement for you to review and sign. Also, since we are a month into the tour, your first check will be included along with a bonus to help you get ready for the tour. We leave in 4 days, see you guys later" Peter said. Joey showed Peter out and then came back in and set down in his vacated chair. "So Tam, how are you feeling" JC asked. "OK, I guess" I replied. "You look tired, baby" Lance said "I could use a nap" I replied. "While I am napping there are movies and in the guest bedroom there is a box with 2 playstations and some games and a TV, you guys make yourselves at home. Lance will you come with me please" I said. "Sure, I be back guys" Lance replied. "Take your time Scoop" Justin said and he a JC headed for the movie cabinet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- When we got to my room I closed the door and locked it. Lance seemed suprised when I did this. When I looked at Lance he had a suprised look on his face. "What's wrong" I asked? "You locked the door" He replied "I know, we need some privacy" I replied. "Lance, thank you for what you did for me today, I am really grateful. I was not sure how I was going to make it without you, when you left. I hope you were serious about what you told Peter about us. I love you Lance" I replied with tears running down my face. Lance walked over and pulled me into a hug. "I love you too Tam, and I was very serious about what I told Peter. I was dying inside about leaving you and there was this opportunity for you to go with us and I took it. I hope you are not mad at me for not telling you about it first." Lance replied "No, Lance I'm not mad, a little concerned on how to get ready in 4 days, that's all." I replied. I started yawning and Lance laughed. "You need some sleep Tam" Lance stated. " I know, lay down with me please" I asked. " OK I will" he replied. We kicked our shoes off and turned the bed back and crawled in, I rolled over and put my head on Lance's chest and with the sound of his heart and his breathing drifted off to dream land. to be continued?
