Subject: first chapter of "Thank God I Found You"

hey y'all, this is the first chapter of "Thank God I Found You", if y'all
got any suggestions or comments about what you think of the story, or what
direction the story should take, just e-mail me at nasty_boyz86@hotmail.com,
i'll be sending installments frequently over the coming summer months, just
keep looking.

no, i don't know BSB, B4-4 or any of the celebrities mentioned in this
story, and I don't know who they sleep with, it's none of my business.

For those of you who have no idea who B4-4 are, they're a Canadian boy band
and are REALLY cute.

now, to get on with the story...

TGIFY
ch. 1

"I'm leaving, that's all there is to it, I can't put up with this shit
anymore" exclaimed Nick, "you didn't give me another choice, ANY of you."

The members of BSB were sitting around their hotel room watching Nick
nervously pace the room, loudly proclaiming all his problems. The tour and
all promotion for "Black & Blue" had ended, the last concert had been the
night before in Toronto. The group sat around in their suite inside the
Royal York hotel, pondering the situation.

Kevin looked up at Nick and asked "and just what do you think you're gonna
do once you leave?"

Nick stared blankly at the wall, avoiding Kevin's worried expression.
"Well...I think I can make it on my own, it could take some work, but I'm
gonna try."

AJ stood up and told the group "well, personally, I think it's his
decision", he turned to Nick, "and I wish you the best in whatever you do."

Nick glared at AJ, "You're just saying that cause you're the one who wanted
me to leave so desperately. You'd do anything get rid of me at this point!"

"Well, i'm not the one who waltzed into the room sucking on some random
guy's face" AJ retaliated, by this point everyone else tried to calm the
battling pair to no avail.

"SEE THIS?! THIS is why i'm leaving this FUCKING group, i've HAD IT with ALL
of you!!" Nick shouted at the group.

Slowly Nick calmed down "I'm out, I'm going far from ALL of you, hope you
enjoy your lives."

Nick grabbed his suitcases, already packed, and stormed out of the room,
down to the lobby to pick up his car. Nick packed the suitcases into his
tiny Mercury Cougar coupe. After struggling to close the trunk lid, Nick
raced into his car, to avoid another last-minute confrontation with his
now-former band mates. He was free, and that's how intended to stay. Free of
worry, free of problems, free of pressure, free of the press, free of
EVERYTHING. He felt the weight come off his shoulders as he drove toward the
Gardiner Expressway, which would lead him eventually back to the US.

As he drove down the road, Nick remained deep in thought, thinking about the
night that lead to all of the problems he had been facing.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Nick and rest of the group had gone clubbing on their first night in
Toronto. There Nick was out dancing the whole night, while the others sat at
their table, sipping on their drinks, occasionally looking over at Nick.

As Nick danced, he saw a very cute guy approaching. Even in the dim light of
the club, Nick could see this guy's glowing smile, muscular build, spiked
hair. They caught each other's eye, and eventually, after a few minutes, the
two were face to face, bumping and grinding on the dance floor.

Nick had only had one drink the whole night, he had been dancing the rest of
the night, but one was enough. Alcohol affected Nick severely, and after
only a few minutes, Nick and his newfound dance partner were sitting at the
table with the rest of the Backstreet Boys, kissing like there was no
tomorrow.

No one in the group had even considered that Nick was gay, but they still
weren't entirely convinced, knowing Nick's lack of tolerance for alcohol. As
the speakers in the club blared out Janet's "If", Nick and his so-far
nameless partner grew more intense in their tonsil hockey. Nobody else even
looked up beyond their own drinks at this point, embarassed as hell by the
drunken pair.

Kevin's fathering instinct kicked in, and in no time Nick and the rest of
the group were to leave immediately. Nick glared at Kevin, then turned and
smiled at this nameless god on whom Nick sat.

"Give...me your number, i call you laterorsomthing..." Nick trailed off in
his alcohol-induced light-headedness. The still-nameless guy wrote down his
number on Nick's arm, and Nicm got up from the table.

"And I never foundout, what was your name?" Nick asked.

"My name? Ohad. I'm in that boy band B4-4" the guy said.

"What the hell is that again? 34-4? huh?"

"No", Ohad laughed, "B4-4, we're really big here in Canada, I forgot you're
Amercian, you've never heard of us".

"YUP!" Nick was sounding stupider every time he opened his mouth, as he was
sipping on ANOTHER drink, "AMERICAN, ani'm DAMN proudof it too!"

Ohad chuckled, told Nick to write the number on something that won't wash
off as easily, and the two said goodnight. Nick then waddled off to the car
where the rest of BSB was waiting.
He opened the door to find four pairs of eyes glaring at him with clear
discontent. As Nick got into the van, the rest of the group tore into him.

"REAL smart, dumbass", Howie nearly mumbled.

"What the FUCK did you think you were doing???!" AJ screamed at him, "You
could've ruined us! You realize how stupid that was, you FAG!"

AJ's last words cut deeply into Nick, and Nick found himself trying
desparately not to burst into tears.

Kevin was at least trying to calm Nick down, but couldn't shut AJ up from
his constant verbal attacks on Nick, who was now in the corner sobbing his
eyes out. Kevin felt the heat rise up his neck with each degrading comment
that came out of AJs mouth.

Finally, Kevin had had enough and shouted, "AJ, if you don't shut your
FUCKING face right now you'll be WALKING back to the hotel", the look in his
eyes told AJ that Kevin was totally serious.

"...and I know how well you this city's streets", Kevin said sarcastically.

AJ sat back, still mumbling under his breath, as Nick sobbed to sleep.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Nick sat in his car, with a tear running down his face as he remembered that
night. He was now stuck in traffic and had barely even driven down the road.

"SHIT!", Nick was still stuck after about a half-hour.

Nick decided to think about his career without BSB. Would he still be as big
as he is now? He was clearly not HALF as popular as Justin, but then again,
NIck believed that *N SYNC had purposely been set up that way, so that
Justin would be the easy favourite. Even though he was close friends with
everyone in *N SYNC, he still felt the need to criticize them even so-often.

Nick got tired of the constant drone of the radio, so he put in a random CD,
after he put it in, he realized he had put "janet.". He was quickly back in
a sobbing state, being reminded of the other night as "If came blasting
through the speakers. Nick was so engulfed in tears that he started pounding
on random buttons hoping to stop the song.

He managed to get the song to change to track 15, "new agenda"

History hidden from me
To hide my identity
So I'd never feel
I am somebody
You've gouged my eyes
I see more clearly
You've tried to rob of my humanity
My spirit you tried to break
My soul you take away
There's no need to be afraid
'Cause I won't do unto you know
Amen
All that we've been through
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due
Amen
It's time to know the truth
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due

Because of my gender
I've heard "no" too many times
Because of my race
I've heard "no" too many times
But with every "no"
I've grown in strength
That is why
African American women
I stand tall with pride
You want to know what it takes
To ride yourself of me now
There's nothing you can do
Accept me for who I am now

Amen
All that we've been through
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due
Amen
It's time to know the truth
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due

Time to step it up, step it up
Better check yourself
I get vexed to protect what we got
Left her alone
Lookin' for your own

Amen
All that we've been through
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due
Amen
It's time to know the truth
Our time has come to rejoice
A new agenda's due

After hearing the song, Nick felt a lot better. Not only was the song very
empowering and intelligent, but it was funky too. Not only did he hear the
song from a personal standpoint, but from a business standpoint as well. He
felt that if he changed some of the lyrics to pertain to him, he could
release this song as his new song. It would make him a whole new Nick, give
him a more mature, more intelligent image. It would also do something he
always longed for, it would get rid of the screaming girls that have forever
hounded him.

As traffic picked up its pace, Nick was on his way, back to the USA. He
decided how he would make his split from BSB public, and he was
well-prepared for it.

hope you liked it. Tell me what y'all think.
