Subject: video gaming with nsync: The meeting  part 1

I don't own or claim to know the personal life of *NSync I also don't own
square enix or the kingdom hears series

       The day started out like any other got up, showered and took care of
my morning wood, got dressed for work, and fed my dog, then left. My life
is really boring even though I live 45 minutes from L.A. but I never see
any celebrities where I work. My name is Ridge Frost, I'm gay, and I work
and live in Costa Mesa California as a video game programmer for square
Enix.
       I went in the office this morning to work on the Kingdom Hearts 3
project.  When I got into the office today my boss Bruce Pebble stopped me
and told me I had a meeting in L.A. tomorrow at 8a.m.  with some potential
clients. I just smiled and said "ok I'll be there". When I got to my office
I booted up my computer and clocked in. After working on the game for a few
hours I took a break to check on everyone that works under me because I'm
the lead programmer here. After making my rounds I went back to my office
and waited for my lunch break because after that I got to go to a local
school and give a presentation on my job to some high school students.
       There was a knock at the door of my office and it was one of my best
friends Kristyn asking if I wanted to go to lunch with here and I said
"sure give me a few minutes to lock up my office". She stood there hands on
her hips saying "hurry up I'm not getting any younger" and I said "you look
like you can't get any older either". She just came over and hit me in my
arm saying "jerk; I don't know why I'm your friend when you treat me like
that". I replied "because you love me". She just rolled her eyes and
started walking when I got out of my chair to follow her. It was pretty
quit at lunch besides her telling me about her latest date. I really wasn't
listening because her talking about her date made me wonder how long it has
been since I went on an actual date. Until Kristyn snapped her fingers
bringing me back to the real world. She must have seen the expression on my
face and stopped talking about her date. She asked me about my meeting
tomorrow and I told her what I knew which really wasn't a lot. Then she
asked me if I was still hanging out with her and her friends this weekend
and I said yea. The rest of lunch was filled with meaningless talk about
what new in our lives.
       The way I met Kristyn was when I was in high school and we dated
when I was trying to convince myself I was strait. Well after we broke up
and then found out that the other was gay and each of our parents blames
the other for turning the other that way. She moved out to Costa Mesa with
me after we got out of college and both started our careers as a game
designer and programmer.  After lunch we said out good byes and I left to
go to the school.
        After the presentation Kristyn called me and told me the company
decided to move the release date of the game up four weeks. I was worried
about it because sure it's almost done but none of music has been worked
on. On the way home I stopped and got something to eat because what's the
point of cooking for only one person when it will just go to waste. When I
got home to my apartment the dog was jumping up my leg trying to get to my
food. I set the food on the counter and started petting him and got some of
his dog food out and gave it to him. He ate his food while I ate mine.
After dinner I went to watch some TV in the living room and was flipping
through the channels. I stopped when a commercial for the video game came
on. The game itself really isn't attractive when you are the one making
it. I continued channel surfing till I got to MTV and saw NSync was getting
back together. JC was still my favorite and always has been since they
started almost 10 years ago. After that went off I went to my empty bed
alone again. I wasn't always alone it used to be me and my partner but that
horrible night one year ago tomorrow when he died and it was my entire
fault.
       When I woke up the next morning I had the platinum ring hanging on
my necklace right in front of my eyes reminding me that it's my fault I'm
alone. I went through the same routine this morning as any other. It was
6:45 by time I got ready and remembered I had to go to L.A. today instead
of to the office. The drive to the meeting was uneventful. When I got in
the conference room and set my stuff down the executives of squaresoft came
in a sit on both sides of me and introduced themselves as Mr. Conner ,short
man in his late forties, and Mrs. Jewel ,Women in her early thirties.
       We waited for about ten minutes till some more executives came that
were from jive records and introduced themselves as Mr. Graham and
Mrs. Jan. They said their clients would be here shortly.  After about
another five minutes five young boys came in and I instantly knew who there
where but the professional part of me kept its composure while the inside
of me was screaming omg it's JC. We all shuck hands and they started
talking to me saying how much they loved the game I've made in the past and
how many time they played them over and over. I was blushing saying thank
you over and over again. Then the room got serious and you could feel it in
the air. JC stood up and said "we want to sing some songs to be put in the
game". At first I was skeptical because putting pop in a game that took
place before it would kind of throw it off balance but after they explained
what music they would sing I was all for it. All the executives were
pulling contract after contract out of their briefcases. I looked over the
table and saw JC just staring at me until the contracts were pushed in
front of each of us and ten pens went to signing their names. After that
was all done the meeting was called to a close and the executives left
leaving me and the guys in the room.
       They had a lot of questions about my work and JC asked a question
that made me want to cry because of what today was. He asked "what does the
platinum ring on the chain around my neck mean". "I said one was my
engagement ring" and JC eyes just went from happy to sad and everyone
noticed. I told them that my fiance had died four months after giving it
to me. Everyone's attention was caught after that last sentence because the
next thing asked was "so you're gay". I replied "yea is that a problem"
with small amount of annoyance in my voice. Chris said "no just kinda
caught me off guard" while JC's eyes just started glowing.  I said "ok well
if that's all then I'm going to go home" and as I turned and started
walking JC spoke up and asked if I wanted to go to dinner tonight with him
and the guys. I thought about it for a second and said "sure about what
time". JC said "maybe fiveish we get done at the studio at about three". I
said "ok where ya'll want to meet".  He said "how about outside our
hotel". I replied "cool".
