Subject: Whistle down the wind part 3

This is the first boyband slash fic I've written, so I would love your
feedback, positive or negative, long or short, just please please please
send me some feedback, my mailbox gets lonely on its own!

Before we continue, I would just like to say that I in no way know the guys
of either Nsync or the BSB, or any other celebrity mentioned in this story.
As such I cannot comment on their true sexuality, I can only speculate (and
dream). If male/male sex offends you, what the hell are you doing in this
part of the archive anyway, then please leave, also if you are underage, or
it is illegal to read texts of this nature in your jurisdiction then please
utilise a vital tool, your browser's back button.

Also, thanks go to Ry and RdrOfStory, for your feedback on part 2, your
question has been answered in the footnote of this part Ry. Every reply I
get to my story is appreciated, if you like it tell me, if you hate it tell
me, if you want me to continue posting, FOR GOD SAKE TELL ME. If you are the
owner of a Microsoft .net passport and have windows messenger, or the .net

How we left it last time

Lance was still sleeping soundly, I knelt down beside him and brushed the
few strands of hair off of his face, I then kissed him gently on the
forehead and crawled into my own bed. I lay facing Lance, just watching him
sleep peacefully, until I fell asleep a few minutes later the image of his
sleeping form burnt into my brain. Dear god, I was falling for him.

Part 3

I awoke at about half past noon, and saw Lance was still sleeping, he was
facing me now though, and looked like he was about to fall out of the bed. I
got up and walked across to him, I shook his shoulder gently and said Lance
rather loudly, he stirred quickly and tried to move to get up. Seeing what
he was doing, I helped him move into a sitting position and then pulled his
legs round, so he was sitting on his bed, with his feet on the floor.
"Do you want a shower this morning Lance?"
"I do, but even if you were in there with me, I wouldn't be able to stand up
long enough"
"OK, well you can get one of the guys to help you with a bath can't you?"
"Actually, I was gonna ask if you would share a room with me?"
"Me?"
"Yeah you,"
"I will, but only if you're sure you want me to."
"Yes, I'm sure"

I moved through to the front of the bus and asked Luke (the driver) how we
were doing for time
"We're ahead of schedule we should be there by one"
"OK, thanks Luke"

I went back to the back of the bus and told Lance we would be there in about
half an hour. Then I stripped out of my T-shirt and boxers and changed into
a pair of comfy Jeans and a Levi's T-shirt. I saw Lance watchng me change,
and thoght it was odd, most straight guys would turn away, but Lance was
virtually staring. Once I was changed, I turned round and asked Lance what
he wanted to wear, he grabbed one of his bags and pulled out a clean pair of
boxers and socks, a pair of baggy khaki trousers and a plain black nike
T-shirt. I first removed the T-shirt he'd slept in, and was just about to
put on his clean one, when he interupted me.
"Can you put my deodorant on please CJ"
"Yeah sure, where is it"
"In that bag there" he jestured towards a blue adidas sports bag
I opened it up and sure enough, there was his deodorant, I pulled it out and
sprayed his underarms and then put it back in the bag. I grabbed his black
T-shirt again and slid it gently over his bad arm and then over his good,
and then over his head, a little akward but not too bad. Next I got him to
stand up, I pulled down his boxers and got him to sit down, then I pulled
them free from his legs and put the new ones in their place, then he stood
up again and I pulled them up for him. Once he was seated again, I noticed
he had gone a little red faced and was cowering away.
"Lance, are you embarrassed?"
"Well, yeah just a little CJ"
"Don't be OK, it ain't nothing a haven't been before Lance, just relax,
anyway, you have nothing to be ashamed of"
"Really?"
"Really"
"Oh, and Lance,"
"Yeah"
"Call me Chris from now on OK"
"But nobody calls you Chris,"
"Not strictly true, but thats the point, it's a special name, reserved for
my best friends and family. My bosses call me either Christopher or
Mr.James, my friends and work colleagues call me CJ and those people who
hold a very special place in my heart call me Chris, I think you've earned
that Lance"
"Thank you"
"Don't mention it"
By now he was in his khakis aswell and I was just putting his socks on,
"What shoes do you want to wear?"
"The doc martins please"
I grabbed them from by his bag, and slid his feet into them and did them up.
With that done, he stood up and walked slowly to the bathroom, and started
brushing his teeth, I glanced at the time, we only had 5 minutes left. I
made my way into the bathroom and used the toilet, when he was done with his
teeth, we swapped. We were done quickly with time to spare, I quickly went
up and powered up all the PCs. When I went back down, I locked the hatch, so
no one else could get up there (I had both of the only two keys to the
lock), and went and joined Lance on one of the couches.
"Chris,"
"Yeah"
"Will you call me by my propper first name from now on, it's like Chris is
for you, it's only for the special people"
"Thank you James"
"No prob, oh and one other thing, would you mind if I came with you while
you work until my ribs are healed? cause I can't dance so I'm not needed for
the practises and I get bored very quickly"
"No not at all, I can't promise you won't get bored but I can try my best to
keep you entertained"
"Thanks"
At that moment the bus slowed to a stop, and the door hissed open. I got
Lance's wheelchair outside and useable again and then went back in to get
Lance. I asked him if he wanted to walk to it and he said he did, so once he
was up and walking I followed very closely behind him. He managed the steps
off the bus well and moved to his chair and sat down with ease, it was good
to see him walking. I pushed him towards the other guys and left him in
their capable hands while I went back and grabbed the bags we wanted, I
stuck mine and Lance's Laptops inside one of mine and carried them over to
where the guys were. I put them all on the cart with the other guys but
grabbed the Laptops. Lance waved a room key at me.
"You keep hold of it James"
"OK Chris"
"Right guys, James and I are going to the arena now, I want all of you there
in the front row by 8 this evening, and just remember what I can do if you
aren't, if you need me in the mean time, my laptop is on, and you know where
I am so get up and find me you lazy bums"
"Hey, who are you calling lazy bums?"
"What are you going to do now Kev?"
"go to bed"
"Case closed" everyone laughed.
"Well we'll see you later guys"
"yeah, see you later Lance, CJ"
With that we were off, and quickly inside the arena itself, we were lucky on
our American leg of the tour because all of the arenas the guys were
performing at had hotels either attached or on site.

I pushed James up to the control booth, where I would be during the shows. I
laughed at the look of amazement on his face, he obviously hadn't been in a
control booth for a live show before.
"Do you actually know what everything does in here?"
"Yeah, of course I do, most of this is set before the show though, light
wise anyway, we pre-configure my laptop with the routines for the songs,
they're already on there, then all we have to do is spend an hour or so
customising them to the systems we have, and during the show I just click a
button to execute the routine. The sound is very different though, we do
soundchecks to set up the mics properly to your voices to get the best
sound, but during the show I'll play with the volume of your mics and the
orchestra's, and tweak all these other controls to get the best sound and
mix for the song."
"Wow, I could never do your job"
"You could James, it's easy with a bit of practise, right now though, I have
to do my job"
I had spotted that the crew were all in the arena and were just milling
about. I walked out of the booth, and down towards where they were standing,
James was following me, not in his chair, I was really pleased to see this.
"OK guys, the roadies have already been in, so all of the speakers and
lighting rigs are in, all we have to do is set them up in the right places,
I want every speaker in location and ready for use tonight, that includes
wiring to the mixing board. You've got 6 hours before I want them done, so
you've got time. Oh, and where the fuck is my mixing board, the simple one's
set up in the control booth?"
"I was in the control booth in Orlando, and you know I can't work on your
board, it's too hard, I guess the roadies just put the wrong one in there,
your board is probably still on the equip bus" Andy replied
"OK cheers Andy"
"'sOK CJ"
"Right guys, you know what you've gotta do, I want all the sound useable
tonight, so we don't have to touch it at all until soundcheck, and bring in
any CDs you want played as well tomorrow while you're doing the lighting
rigs, or your stuck with my MP3 collection"
I started walking away from the crew, and James promply followed
"You've had a miracle recovery"
"not really, I just decided I was sick of the chair, I can take a little
pain"
"Well if it gets too much just tell me yeah"
"OK"
"Right now I have to find my board,"
"yeah, about that, did you say that one in the booth is the simple one"
"In comparisson to my one yeah thats a simple one"
"So whats so special about your one then?"
"Give me a few minutes and I'll show you"
We were back in the control booth, I grabbed my walkie talkie and called for
one of the roadies
"Hi John, this is CJ, can you bring in my board please?"
"Yeah sure, do you want everything?"
"Please, and can you bring in the 50 changer as well?"
"Sure,"
"Great thanks John"
"Do you want it set up as well?"
"Yeah please, but just the board, leave the rest I'll do it later, and take
Andy's board away as well please."
"OK"
"Cheers John"

"Right come on James we'll let these nice people earn their wages, do you
want to leave the chair here or bring it back with us?"
"Can you push me in it please?"
"Of course"

He sat down in it and off we went, I got him to hold the laptops for me, and
started pushing him towards the stage, I called out to the guys that my
board was going in and only to wire the speakers to it, and that I'd deal
with the rest, that said I pushed James out of the arena and throgh
reception into the lift and James pushed the button for our floor.
"What room are we in?"
"635"
"You still want that bath James?"
"Please, if you don't mind"
"No of course not"
"James, remember this morning, when I asked about a shower, you said you
wouldn't be able to stand up for long enough?"
"Yeah"
"That was a lie wasn't it?"
"Yeah" we were at our door now, I took the key from James and opened the
door, I pushed him inside and he went and sat on one of the beds
"Why didn't you want a shower James?"
"Because you would have had to come in with me and I was embarassed"
"OK, fair enough, in future James don't lie to me alright,"
"But you'dd have thought I was stupid,"
"No, I wouldn't James, don't think like that"
I put one hand on either side of his face, and made him look me directly in
the eye
"You are not stupid James, and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise. And
as far as your body is concerned you have absolutely nothing to be
embarassed or ashamed about, OK"
"You mean that?"
"Of course I do"
"Thank you," he started to tear up again, "that's the nicest thing anyone
ever said to me in ages"
"Your welcome"
"Now how's about we get you bathed now"
"Sure"
I walked into the bathroom and started a warm bath for him, and then went
back into the main room. I found him still sitting on the bed, I went over
to him, and gently removed his T-shirt, and then went into the kitchen area
and grabbed some cling film, I went back over to James and wrapped his cast
in the cling film, and then taped up each end
"There we go James, now you have a waterproof arm"
"Great," we both laughed
I noticed he was blushing again, so I sat next to him on the bed and gently
rubbed his back again.
"Are you still embarassed James?"
"Um, yeah"
"Well, do you want me to get one of the guys instead?"
"NO!, I'd be even more embarassed with them"
"ok then, just don't worry James, like I said earlier, you have nothing to
be embarassed about"
"Thank you"
"Your welcome, now shall we continue?"
"Yeah"
I knelt down in front of him and removed his doc martins and his socks, and
then got him to stand up so I could take off his Khakis,
"Do the boxers as well Chris"
"Are you sure?"
"yeah, no use in putting off the inevitable"
"OK then"
I pulled both his Khakis and his boxers down at once and got him to sit back
down on the bed, I pulled them off over his feet and set them with his
T-shirt.
"Do you wanna walk into the bathroom, or would you rather I carry you?"
"Will you carry me in please?"
"Certainly,"
I picked James up, making sure that his ear was fairly close to my mouth.
"James, just relax OK, be proud of what you've got, it's better than most,
and I don't just mean your body, you have a great personality too."
He blushed again.
"You look good in red, you know that?"
"Sorry, but it's not about my body this time, its what you just said"
We were in the bathroom now and I gently lowered James into the bath, and
handed him a flannel and a bar of soap.
"You wash what you can comfortably reach and I'll get the rest in a minute
OK,"
"That sounds like a plan"
"OK then, you get on and I'll be back in a bit, shout if you need anything"
I went back into the main room and folded James' clothes and stripped off my
own T-shirt, I was just about to head in to the bathroom, when my phone
started ringing, I answered it as soon as I saw it was my Dad.
"Hi Dad"
"Hi CJ"
"How's the job going?"
"Good, thanks for asking"
"I was just speaking to Kevin about Lance, he said he's been on your bus and
your rooming together at the moment, is there something you wanna tell me?"
"No, not at the moment"
"Do you still have that Crush on him"
"No I don't still have a crush on Lance, I've fallen for James Lansten Bass,
who happens to have the stage name Lance"
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure"
"Well good for you, have you told him yet?"
"Not yet, but I will, look Dad I really have to go now, I'll call you later"
"OK son, Love you"
"Love you too Dad, bye"
I hung up and headed into the bathroom.

"So how's your Dad?"
"He's OK, how much of that conversation did you hear?"
"Just when you said 'Love you too Dad'"

I failed to notice the sly smile and look of triumph that crossed James'
face.

Well there you have it, thats part 3 done, But what is Lance so pleased
about and what about 'the plan', all will be revealed in Part 4, which I
hope to put out tomorrow.

Ry in answer to your question, most of the technologies described are real,
so far the only one that isn't is the remote power control although similar
things are available in very new expensive homes, so that should be a
reality shortly. Also in Part 4 there will be mention of a remote control
feature on CJ's mixing board, to my knowledge that is not an available
technology currently. having said that most of the technologies are
available, some are only currently available for business customers, we
certainly have remote monitoring software where I work. I hope this answers
your question.
