Working for the Boys -8

Ryan drags Nick's body to the bed. He huffs and puffs a little
while he looks at Nick passed out.

"Just like an angel. Sweet and peaceful. I don't want to hurt you,
but I have to. Both our lives depend on it, Nicky."

Ryan bends over and kisses Nick's cheek.

"You will understand, Nicky. You will."

Howie gets off the elevator and rushes to his room. He sits down
just as the phone rings. Howie calms himself down, then answers it.

	"Hello," Howie said

"Howie," I smiled, "where the hell are you and Nick?"

"We both are stuck at the hotel," Howie lied.

	"Why?"

"We just are. Where is everybody?"

"We are about to see your best friend get married."

"Married," Howie yelled jumping off the bed.

"Yep. AJ and Kevin are tying the knot in about 15 minutes. They
both would really like you guys here. AJ even wants you to be the best
man. Can you make it?"

	"Where?"

I told Howie where the abandoned building was and he said he'd find
Nick and meet us.

Howie ran to Nick's room to see Ryan undressing a passed out Nick.

"Ryan, what the hell is going on," Howie demanded.

"Just part of the plan, trust me, it won't backfire. Now what do
you want?"

"Well, we are suppose to be going to a wedding," Howie smirked.

Ryan looked at him, then laughed.

"Lie, you moron. Say you couldn't find him. Go."

With that, Howie left the room.

I had made Brian help Kevin, when he finally found out what was
going on, and Tyler help AJ. Meanwhile, I made sure everything was going
to go perfect for this wedding. With help from my dad's older business
partners, I turned an old abandoned building into a fantastic wedding
bliss. I basically was waiting for the only people who could show in such
notice, Mrs. McLean, Howie, Nick, and Janet. The isle was set perfectly. I
had gotten Kevin and AJ's suits that morning, along with the caterer, who
just made desserts and drinks for us, a florist, who worked her magic
throughout the place, and my Uncle Winston, who was a judge at New York. We
had already discussed that this would not be legal, but he said that he
would be happy to do it. He knew I was gay, so he had no problem.

Mrs. McLean walked in. She was on the verge of crying when I got to
her.

	"Mrs. McLean," I asked.

"Yes. Is my baby here yet?"

"He's in the back, let me show you there."

I took her back to AJ's door. I knocked and Tyler's head popped
out.

"He's not ready yet. He's freaking crying for joy."

"Tyler, this is AJ's mom. Let them have some time together."

Tyler came out as Mrs. McLean went in.

"Well, have you heard from Nick yet," Tyler asked.

"Howie said he was going to find him and bring him. I hope they get
here time."

AJ's mom walked in and shut the door. AJ was dressed in a white
suit, with a white shirt, shoes, and a black tie. She looked at him and
started to cry.

"Mom, it's ok," AJ reassured her.

"I know. I just never thought I'd see you get married. The hall is
beautiful. I also met Jamie; the guy who you said set this up. He's a
miracle worker. And he's your pr?"

"A great one too," AJ smiled. He saw some doubt in her eyes. "Mom,
Kevin is the one. I know he is. I feel this.. amazing feeling when I'm with
him. He feels it to. I love him so much, mom."

"I know you do. And does he feel the same?"

"Does he feel the same," Brian asked at he walked out of the
bathroom in a gray suit.

"God, yes. Brian, he makes me feel so loved, so wonderful. This
marriage is so right. It's the perfect time because everything is fitting
in perfectly."

"For your sake, I hope so."

Brian walked out of Kevin's door just as Janet walked in. He was a
little stunned.

"Janet Jackson," Brian asked. "How the hell did you pull that one?
Wouldn't she tell?"

"Brian, don't worry. You need to calm down and get a man."

Brian punched me in the arm as I giggled. He acknowledged that
Kevin was ready.

"Good, just waiting for Nick and Howie. Oh and AJ to finish with
his mom."

"His mom is here," Brian asked. I nodded and Brian ran to Kevin's
room.

The cab that Howie was in ran right into traffic. He took out his
cellphone and called Janet.

	"Hello," she answered.

	"Janet! Where are you?"

"Howie? Hi, I'm at AJ and Kevin's wedding. Where are you?"

"On the way. Listen, I wouldn't ask unless it was important."

	"Ask what?"

"Stall the wedding until I get there," Howie yelled.

Janet looked shocked, but then assumed he just wanted to be there
for AJ.

	"I'll try."

She hung up the phone and walked to me.

"Howie just called me. He said he got stuck in traffic and to make
sure the wedding doesn't start without him."

"I'll see what I can do," I smiled.

AJ fixed himself up again as his mother came up from behind
him. She turned him around and hugged him.

"When are you going on your honeymoon," she asked.

"As soon as the tour is over. Promise."

He smiled as he hugged her again.

"Ok, tell them I'm ready mom."

Mrs. McLean walked out of his room and up to me.

"He's all set."

"Yeah, so is Kevin. Well, I'll just have Nick and Howie see the
videotape," I smiled.

I sent Tyler to tell them everything is set and then walk with
AJ. The music started and Brian and Tyler met at the end and walked down
the isle next to each other. Then everybody stood as AJ and Kevin, in
matching suits, walked hand in hand. They passed AJ's mom and both of them
gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. The music ended as AJ and Kevin stood
in front of my uncle.

"Dearly beloved," my uncle started, "today we are hear to make a special
reunion between two loving souls, Kevin Richardson and Alexander James
McLean. They have traveled through a long time of love and secrecy to be
here right now. They both decided to say what is on there mind as their
vows from each other. Alexander, you may go first."

AJ cleared his throat a little, and then he looked into Kevin's
bright blue eyes.

"I never imagined I'd be here. When I realized I was gay, my first
reaction was `I'd never have kids and never be married.' Well, so far one
of them is coming true, God must be watching over us to bring us
together. We weren't supposed to be together. Truthfully, I was with
finding out who I was and you were always so damn bossy. Then, when I asked
you out after we became good friends, I already saw the magic between
us. All I had to do is look at you and I could see the love in your
eyes. That still remains right now as I stand here and look into your
eyes. Kevin, you couldn't make me any happier than I am right now, and
because of that I promise to love you. I promise that my love for you will
never run dry. I promise that as long as I breathe, every breath will be
for you. I promise that there will be no other to take your place. After I
have found you, I promised myself that I would love you forever. All these
promises, I will keep for as long as I live. I love you Kevin, and I never
want to loose you. Tyler?"

	Tyler gave AJ the ring.

"With this ring, I do swear to give my heart and soul to you. I
swear that there will never be another. With this ring, I thee wed."

Kevin's tears where streaming down his face, likewise for everyone
else, including me. Sniffles could be heard during the second of silence.

"Now," my uncle said, almost choked up, "you may go, Kevin."

	"'It's not that I can't live without you. It's just that I don't
even want to try.' You remember when I wrote that? We had a big fight, and
you said that no matter what I can say or do, cheating on you was the worst
and it was unforgivable. The funny thing is I didn't cheat on you and you
wouldn't listen. So I made wrote "Back To Your Heart," and sang it at your
door for hours until, finally, you let me in and we talked. Well, the
reason why I told that long boring story was to explain that EVERYTHING I
do, whether it is a good idea or bad, is for you, AJ. I wake up in the
mornings for you; I go to sleep at nights for you. I breathe for you. I eat
for you. I'd do anything and everything for you. I do it to make you
smile. I do it to make you laugh. I do it to make you happy. That's all I
really care about. If you're not happy, then I'm not happy. Brian?"

Brian, who was crying hard, didn't hear him. Kevin slapped him on
the head and everyone giggled as Brian gave Kevin the ring.

"With this ring, I make promise to you. I promise that as long as I
have you, there will be no other. I promise that I will lift heaven and
earth to keep that bright shiny smile on your face. I promise I'll always
be there, whether physically or spiritually, I will be there. And lastly."

Kevin held AJ's hand and stepped back to make a circle using their
arms.

".I promise that we will, forever, be whole."

Kevin then put the ring on AJ's finger.

"If there is anyone who thinks that this union is wrongful or
unjust, speak now or forever hold their peace."

Howie slammed the cab door and paid the guy. He ran into the church
just as the words.

"And I now pronounce you a married couple. You may kiss.each
other."

Everyone stood up and applaud, everyone except Howie. He walked
outside. Janet caught him out of the corner of her eye and went to check on
him.

"Don't worry, its on tape," she smiled.

	Howie started to cry.

"Howie, are you ok," she questioned.

	"I love him," Howie whispered.

"I know you like Jamie, but love?"

	"No," Howie snapped.

With his red eyes and tears streaming down his face, Howie stared
at her.

	"I love AJ."

Howie ran away. Janet went to her car and tired to follow him.

Everyone cleared out the place where the wedding was. We all
laughed and danced. Then Brian went to the center of the floor.

"Hello, everybody. My name is Brian Littrell. I am the
grooms'...well Kevin's cousin. As everybody else, I just recently found out
about their courting and marriage, so I didn't have time for a gift. So I
am going to give them `their' song. One that they can keep to forever
remember this night."

Brian motioned Tyler to stand next to him.

"We haven't practiced, so bare with us," Tyler smiled.

Saying I love you Is not the words I want to hear from you It's not that I
want to Not to say, but if you only knew How easy It could be to show me
how you feel More than words Is all I'll ever need for you to show Then you
wouldn't have to say That you love me Cause I already know

What would you do If I broke those words in two More than words to show you
feel That your love for me is real What would you say If I took those words
away Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying, "I love you"

As Brian and Tyler finished the song, Kevin slow danced with his
new mother-in-law. They finished the song and Kevin and AJ had to
leave. They were going to spend the night in Manhattan. We all said our
good-byes as Kevin and AJ hopped into their jeep and took off.

Tyler, Brian and I decided to call it a night. We went to the
hotel, assuming Nick and Howie where there. I walked into Howie's room and
he wasn't there. Then I heard a scream. Both Brian and I jumped to Nick
room. Their Ryan Phillippe and Nick lay naked in Nick's bed. Sleep. Brian
helped me take Tyler to my room, and then we went to sleep.

When the door closed, Ryan's head popped up.

"He wasn't suppose to walk in. He is suppose to be hurt," Ryan
whispered. "Oh well, everything will be fixed tomorrow."

About three in the morning, the phone rang. Grumpy as I was, I
picked it.

"This better be good," I said

AJ was sobbing on the other line. I heard sirens in the background.

"AJ," I yelled. Tyler woke up after that. "What's going on, AJ? Why
is there police?"

"There's been an accident," he said, almost hyperventilating.

"AJ, what happened. Are you and Kevin alright?"

	"NO," he screamed.

"AJ! AJ, speak to me, where are you."

"At that bridge. The one to get to Manhattan."

"Ok, I'll be there in five. Let me talk to Kevin."

AJ's sobs got louder, Than someone took the phone.

	"Hello," he asked.

"Hi, My name is James Mitchell. I am the public relations manager
for the Backstreet Boys. What's going on," I asked.

I froze. My heart stopped for a second. Tyler shook me.

	"Jamie, what's up," Tyler asked

"Thank you sir, I'll be there in about 5 minutes."

I hung the phone and looked at Tyler.

"Wake up Brian, NOW! Tell him to meet me at the elevator."

	Tyler got scared.

	"Why," he asked.

	"Tyler, please do it."

Howie stood at the end of the bridge. He looked and could barely
see AJ huddled in a ball rocking. As Howie got closer, he could see the
scratches and bruises all over his body.

"AJ," Howie spoke. AJ looked up and lunged at Howie.
