Subject: Cold Nights Being Alone 2

Hey peeps. Thanks for your feedback! Thanks to it,
here's the next part (a gift from me to you...aw!
*hehe*) Anywayz, when writing to me, please put the
story title in the subject line or i might
accidentally erase it. And this story is not true, I'm
not claming that I know NSYNC personally at all. I'm
not implying aything.
~*~
The next morning-

I woke up again the next morning after JC. He was
looking around at all my posters and out the window.

"Hi Josh." I said brightly.

"Hi." He whispered.

I sat up, and rubbed my bare arms and chest against
the cold. "Ooh, it's cold. Hey, what's the matter? Do
you hurt?"

He shook his head. "No, I feel fine."

"So what's wrong?" I put my arm around his bare
shoulders.

"Jennipher." He whispered.

"Oh." I said quietly.

"Don't you dare tell me *that* wasn't cheating on
them." He said severely.

"Okay okay so it was." I sighed. "So what do we do?
Are you going to tell Jenni?"

"Hell no. She'll never understand." He sighed. "I'm
not even sure I do...I want to tell her because I love
her, but now I..." he trailed off.

"What?" I asked.

He swallowed. "Love you..."

I blinked. "Really? I love you too JC. But
still...what about the girls?"

"Not tell them." He said firmly. "That kind of thing
is saved for deathbeds and last words and such."

I laughed. "Okay. We won't tell them...are you sure
you can keep that from JD?"

"I'll have to." He said simply.

"Okay." I yawned. "And anyway, it's cold. And six-ten
in the morning. Let's go back to sleep."

He shook his head. "I'm awaked. I want to get
dressed."

"So do it." I gestured to his clothes on my floor.

He paused. "Can you...can you not look?"

I gave him a funny look. "JC, after what we did last
night, does it really matter if I see you?"

"Please Justin. This is a very awkward situation. I'm
sitting naked next to my best friend, the man I slept
with last night when I'm supposed to be with the woman
who's having my babies."

"For you." I said, turning.

"What, not for you?"

"Nope, I'm completely comfortable."

"Whatever." He leapt into his clothes. "Okay." He
sighed.

I glanced at him. "Better go comb your hair."

He nodded. "Okay, I will." He turned to leave. "Um,
Justin?"

"Whassat?"

"I'm not gay." He said.

I looked at him, my JC (after what I did to and with
him last night I can afford to call him mine in my own
head) with his blondish hair messy and his blue eyes
wide.

"Okay." I said.

He walked out, and promptly walked back in. "You're
mocking me!" he accused.

"No, I'm not." I said.

He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I'm not. I'm saying I heard you, I'm responding,
replying, and agreeing. Okay?" I said calmly.

"Oh. Okay then." He went out.

I sighed, and looked out my window. The sun was
beginning to rise, and it was really beautiful. Was
that a sign?

~*~JC's wedding day (June 21st)

I walked into the room where he was at, dressed in a
black tuxedo (I was the best man. Yep. Aint I the
best? J/K) JC was also ready. "Ready yet Josh?" I
asked.

He looked up at me. We haven't spoken of the events
that took place on June 13th. We had stayed clear of
each other and took precautions not to be alone
together, j/i/c. But we're okay now. It's like a left
behind piece of homework. Done and forgotten, never to
be returned to the atmosphere.

"Yep." He took a deep breath. "I'm ready. Is Jennipher
ready?"

"Dunno. Want me to go check?"

He nodded. "Yeah."

I went down to the hall of his parent's house (him and
Jade wanted to get married where he grew up, (Bowie,
Maryland) and went to JD's room. "Hi girls." I said.
"Ready Jen?"

She nodded. She was very big with twins, and very
quiet the last few days. Andy told me she was afraid
of when she'd go into labor, because of the pain, and
because you never know when complications can present
themselves. She didn't want problems with the twins.

"Okay. JC just wanted me to check on you." I said. I
looked over to Andy, who was in the bridesmaid's
dress. "Wow. You look pretty." I said.

She smiled. "And you look darling in that suit."

I made a playful disgusted face. "Yuck. I hate suits."

"How much longer until the wedding?" I asked. Andy
checked her watch.

"About fifteen more minutes. C'mon Jenni D, gotta get
ready to go." She said.

JD nodded. She looked great in the wedding dress.

"Well, see you at the altar." I said, and walked back
to where Josh was. "She's ready. Let's a go."

He nodded. "Okay." And walked towards the door.

"Wait." I caught him by the shoulders. He looked up at
me, in my no longer innocent blue eyes. "I-" I paused.
"Are you going to let me give you a wedding day kiss?"

He glanced around, and seeing that we were alone,
sighed. "I don't think so Justin. You can't imagine
how I feel, so guilty cause of Jennipher. I swore to
myself that I would never let it happen again. And I
have to stick with that. So no, I won't let you." He
wriggled from my grip and began to walk down the
hallway.

"You said you loved me." I called after him.

He stopped, and sighed. He came back over, and looked
up at me. I smiled. He put his hand on the back of my
head, stood on tiptoe, and kissed me, pressed his lips
to mine, no tongue. He let me go. "I do." He
whispered. He laid his head on my chest a moment. "And
it's tearing me apart."

I put my arms around him. "Shh, it's okay."

"Hey ya'll, ready to go?" Joey's voice said from
behind us.

"Whatcha doin?" Lance asked.

JC let me go. "A hug to settle my nerves. I'm a
nervous wreck."

Joey put his arm around his shoulders. "Don't worry
li'l cuz, everyone says that this is supposed to be
the happiest day of your life."

"Not bloody likely." He muttered as we walked, but
only I heard.

We stood in our places, and waited for Jennipher to
show. The bridesmaid's (Andy and an old friend of
Jenni's, Andy Lakewood) followed the flower girls
(JC's nieces) and the organ player composed 'Here
Comes The Bride'. We saw Jenni come in, smiling. She
stood next to JC. She was so big he had to stand a
little off to the side. I hoped she wouldn't go into
labor during the wedding.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to witness blah
blah blah yakity smelling elephants and a dry porpoise
on land."

"What?" My head snapped towards the minister.

"Just checking to see if you're paying attention." He
said, winking at Jennipher. I snorted, sounding like a
pig on steroids*. That was just like Jennipher to get
that set up. Anyway, the minister said the blessing
for real. Before I knew it, he was saying, "I now
pronounce you man and wife, you may now kiss the
bride." JC lifted the veil over JD's face. Everyone
stood up and clapped. I clapped JC on the back.

"Way to go Josh!" I said. He smiled at his audience,
with his arm around Jenni's waist. The reception was
normal, and then JC and JD went to our house (JC's and
mine). I was going over with Andy to spend the night.

When we got there, Andy threw herself into my arms and
kissed me. "Was up Andy?" I sighed. I could tell she
wanted something.

"Well...don't you think it's great JD and JC are
having babies?"

I shrugged. "Sure. Kids are great."

"Well..." she sighed and blew her hair out of her
face. "I aint one to hold back on the point. I want to
have a baby too, Justin."

I blinked. "A baby?"

"Yes. Jade's so happy she's going to have a child, and
she says it makes her so happy that there's human
beings growing inside her, and that she's having the
babies with the man she loves. I want that too."

"I don't know Andy." I said doubtfully. "A baby is a
big responsibility."

"So? JD is younger than me and she's doing it!"

"Jennipher and JC didn't exactly plan their
expectancy. It just sorta happened. And JC is older
than me."

"That means he can help you! And their children will
be older than ours, so everything that happens to us
they've already experienced and can give us advice.
They'll help. Come *on* Justin!" she pleaded.

I sighed. "Well, if it's what you really want...okay."

She smiled. "Ooh, good! C'mon." she pulled me towards
her room.

"Whoa, what's this?" I said.

She stopped, and gave me a Look. "How else do you
expect me to get pregnant, you PICKLE PICKLE PICKLE!"

I cracked up. (Some apparent inside joke between her
and Jennipher and their friends). Then, I sighed. "You
want a kid NOW?"

"Duh! C'mon." she pulled at my hand. I followed,
dazed.

~3 wks later

Andy and I had moved into a big house, and Jade and JC
moved next door to us. They had a lot of preparing to
do before their babies came. Andy still wanted to get
pregnant, and she had a doctor's checkup to see if she
was. JC went bowling with Joey, Lance and Chris, so I
was home alone and Jennipher Chasez (she loved that)
was home alone too. I was playing Nintendo quietly
when the phone rang.

"Yello?" I greeted.

Clunk. "Ah! Justin! Help me." I familiar female voice
cried.

"Huh? Jennipher? What's wrong?"

"Babies want to come out!" she whined.

"Ok, hold on, I'll be right there." I said. I ran next
door and opened the front door. "Jenni where are you?"
I called.

"Owww...in here!" she yelled. I ran to the kitchen
where she was lying on the floor.

"I'll call 911." I said. I did, and then got her bag
and waited with her for the ambulance.

"Where's JC..." she whimpered. "I want him..."

I hugged her. "Yeah, believe me, so do I." I had
called him on his cellphone, but he wasn't here yet.

The ambulance came, and she asked me to stay behind to
tell JC they'd gotten her and to ride with him there.
They took off and I waited.

After about four minutes, JC raced in the door.
"Jennipher?"

"The ambulance came and took her to the hospital." I
said.

"Oh. C'mon. Where's Andy?"

"Doctor's. Had an appointment. She wants to get
pregnant and went to see if she was yet."

"Okay. C'mon."

We jumped into my car and raced to the hospital. He
ran to the delivery/waiting area, and I stood outside
the door of Andy's doctor's office.

She came out. "Ah! Justin! What are you doing here?"

"Jennipher's having the twins now. Me and Josh just
got here too. I thought I'd meet you here and take you
down to where they were."

"Oh. Okay." She sounded awfully quiet.

"What's wrong shorty?" I asked. She usually gets mad
when anyone calls her short except me. She don't mind
me or Jennipher.

She shook her head. "No baby yet. Doctor thinks there
might be something wrong with me. I've scheduled an
appointment for next Tuesday, to get a thorough
examination with the gynecologist."

"Oh. What could be wrong?"

"The hell do I know. Where's Jace and Jennipher?"

"Oh. This way." I led her to the waiting room. Me and
her sat down, and waited for four hours.

"Guess what!" JC yelled in our ears and scared us.

"Ah!" I yelled.

"Eep!" Andy said.

"Oh. Sorry. Anyways, guess what?" he said, smiling
proudly.

"Chicken butt." I said proudly.

He gave me a dark look. "No, I got sons! Three of
them!"

"What the hell happened to twins?"

"Baby hiding."

"Oh."

"What are their names?" Andy inquired.

"First baby Joshua Scott Chasez jr. Second baby Sawyer
DeLane Brian Chasez, and the baby who was hiding is
Chandler Joseph Hercules Chasez."

"What!" I burst out laughing.

"You heard me. Chandler. Joseph. Hercules."

"You named your son Hercules?" Andy said, wide-eyed.

He shrugged. "Sure, why not? Just his second middle
name. Besides, you were the one to suggest it."

"I wasn't serious!"

"Well, it's funny. Jennipher insisted, so I caved."

"Is that *really* the kid's name?" I asked doubtfully,
knowing JC's joking nature.

"Yep. Scout's Honor."

"oh, okay. Too bad you were never a scout." I said.

He shrugged. "Oh well. You're the only one besides
Jade who caught that in three years."

"Can we see Jennipher?" Andy asked.

"Not till they move her to a real room."

"How long will that take?"

"Not too long?" I asked.

"An hour, probably. They need to give her some
painkillers and stitches and stuff." He shrugged.
"Andy, can you run over to our house and get her
little teddybears she packed for the babies? She left
them behind. They're on our dresser." He said, handing
her a key.

She nodded. "Okay. Be right back. Don't wait up."

When I turned back to JC, he was looking me hard in
the eyes. "What?" I said.

"No more." He said seriously.

"No more what?"

"Kisses. Sex. No more."

I shrugged. "Fine."

He shook his head. "No. Not enough. No more, Justin."

"Okay, no more." I said. "I heard you the first time.
I get it."

"Good." He said solemnly. "I'm married now. I'm a
father now. I *do* love you, but now only as a friend.
No more anything."

I swallowed. "Kiss goodbye?"

He glanced around. "Later. There's too many people
around."

"There were people around when you said we had sex in
June but you don't hear me complaining now do you." I
sighed.

"Well, people can see what they can't hear."

"Okay okay. Later. Promise?" I asked.

"Okay, I promise." He said, exasperated.

"Okay then."

He sighed. "I'm going to check on JD. I'll be out in a
minute."

"What! And leave me all alone..." I stuck my lower lip
out.

"Grow up. I said I'd be right out." He rolled his
eyes.

"Okay, fine." I said, frowning, and he went into the
delivery room. I made a mental note to ask him why he
was mad at me and snapping at me. Was it because I'd
requested a goodbye kiss? Well excuuuuuuuuuuse me if I
was in love.

Then I froze. IN love? IN LOVE? That is *so* much
different than love. Uh-oh, was I falling for my best
friend?

Turns out, uh-oh was right.
