I jumped up from the bed and and grabbed my undies and slipped them on,
David did the same. I opened the door and peeked out into the hallway,
which was now vacant. I snuck down the hall and went into the lounge area,
Dennis was over in the kitchen sipping on a drink of fruit juice. I walked
over to the kitchen and said "Hell Dennis, you scared shit out of us just
then" He said "Well lucky for you, I came home and the whole street was out
craning their necks to see who was getting murdered, the noise was that
much I rushed inside here before I realised what was going on" He was

to the refrigerator and opened the door and bending down I looked for and
saw two cans of coke, which I reached for. Quick as lighting Dennis reached

feel like I know her, even though we never met, if she is just one bit like
you she must have been one of the world's finest people. I don't know what

in a quiet moment and I am sure she even today is still patting my head and

ever decision you make is fine with me because I know at least you have

We finished showering and dried off, we left the bathroom and I called

Dennis stood there and I more or less formally introduced Bruce and then
Philip. I could tell Philip was most impressed with Dennis. I said Dennis
was more or less my Dad but he was my sister's man and that I lived with
them. I said "Hey Bruce, you ever want to run away, you can always come
over here and adopt Dennis and Liz, they won't mind"

He laughed and Dennis said "Damn, if I got another responsibility then I
would have premature grey hair, no way" At that moment Liz did call Dennis

Dennis went to see Liz and I said to the others let's go grab a drink which
we did. I poured four glasses of iced water and we stood in the kitchen
sipping and discussing what film we would see. No one could be very
decisive or agree, so we all thought we would wait 'til we got to town and
then we would see from there. We talked about other stuff in general and
finally Dennis came out to the lounge and called, OK I think we are ready
and Liz appeared all tizzied up. Liz had on a beautiful black dress, low
