Scott and Ben spent some time in the camper with Scott's brother Henry. They were making the plans for how two teams would paint a large three sided one thousand five hundred foot tall tower with our gear and expertise. In one hour they had their plan then called Dave into the camper since he'd be in charge of the ground crews and safety. Ben tagged along behind his father trying to look all mature and yet like a kid, the boss's kid. I think he was a little bit on the lazy side at work anyway. The next morning we started at 2am with an elevator ride to the top. We already had our gear on, so it was old fashioned climbing past the actual KCMO antennas to the top on the steel ladder rungs welded to the antenna housings. It took until 6:45am to paint just the antennas. Now we started at the top of the elevator level with two baskets and started to head down painting as fast as we could. Thirty minutes later all the TV and radio signals came on, by then we were a few hundred feet below. We got off work after a huge day around 5pm. Everyone went to their hotel rooms and collapsed. I was too sore and tired to eat dinner so I just went to sleep. We were back on the elevator at 2am to finish the top end while all their stuff was supposedly off the air. In the hotel room they were on the air but that was cable TV which is a direct digital line, not over the air. By the end of day two we were done painting done down to 750 feet above the ground. We spent the next two days painting the rest of the way down. Ben was on a crew painting the feed line supports to the transmitter building with compressors and ladders since they were only like fifteen feet above the ground. We rarely laid eyes on each other and never had time to speak. We all busted our assess to get it done. On the last tower side we used both paint crews, same time, two hoists, two ground crews. By 2:30pm we were done and cleaning our gear, about five hours ahead of schedule. No damage, no injuries. We got our bonuses! That night we celebrated at a Ruby Tuesday's in their banquet room with the entire company. There were ten climbers, six ground crew including Ben and two bosses. Dave actually left early for home on his motorcycle. Jeremy and I drove back to St Louis in the crew truck, Ben rode with his father. Jeremy and I didn't talk much, mostly just listened to the radio. Back at the company Scott met us in the parking lot with envelopes and handshakes. For five days on the road I cleared after taxes $929.00 and found several one hundred dollar bills stuffed-in since our bonus was always paid in cash off the books. We agreed to meet on Monday morning for the drive to Alton, Illinois, our next job and last one of the season. School was starting in a week I knew Ben would be leaving soon but for now he was once again, invisible. -+- We got back from Alton later that week. It was just a two-tower AM station, did it in two days then back home. Ben didn't come along, not sure where he was. I thought about him a lot. Back at the company we got our expected lay off notices, no surprise really. It was well marked on the calender in the break room. I just grew to like the money and tolerate the risks. I saved enough to survive most of the winter without working as long as nothing broke, like my truck. I'd probably get a little job in town plowing snow or working at a gas station or something. My mom was on my back about going to school to get my associates in something. Dave said he was heading back to Puerto Rico with his wife and little girl for the winter. He said he'd be back again in May like this year. I pictured them living in a grass hut, him spending the day collecting oysters and selling pearls to tourists. Who knows how they live? I never saw Ben again. I heard he graduated from high school on time. He was really too old now to be court ordered to visit his father any more. I never spent another season working for them, Mom won, I started college like a good son. To this very day, watching Scott hand wash his son's enormous banana-like curved dick in broad daylight in front of the entire crew remains one of the most erotic things I've ever seen in my life. And to this day that was the biggest boner I have ever seen and probably the largest amount of semen to pump from a single dick in a single orgasm I've ever seen in my life. I'll remember those images for the rest of my life and always wonder whatever became of the boss's kid. the end by: boris chen thanks for reading and commenting comments to borischen at zoho dot com read the rest of my stories for free now: wattpad.com/borischen Thanks for supporting the Nifty Archive.
