				Chapter XII

Erik awoke to the sound of feet shuffling against the carpet, an
empty space was to his left where Salvador's body should have been. Murali
laid fast asleep and Erik leapt from the bed, he looked back and saw Murali
murmur then quickly doze off. The smell of sex still lingered in the air as
he entered the bathroom. Salvador sat on the edge of the bathtub, his body
basked in a white glow. The sound of running water filled Erik's ears as he
sat next to Salvador, dried cum was spattered across the golden olive skin
and Salvador looked up with a confused expression.

"Did I hurt ya?"

"A lot but I will be fine."

"You got cum all over ya." Erik ran a hand through the soft hair.

"Did you and Murali plan that?"

"Yeah. I must admit that you have a nice ass Sal." Erik saw Salvador blush
intently.

"You should be spending time with your lover." Salvador said frankly.

"We're still close, can't I hang with ya?"

"You are supposed to be with one person." Salvador replied.

"That's true but... ya know if Murali and I get married. I want ya to live
with us."

Salvador's eyes grew wide "You are crazy."

"I'm being serious Sal. Me and Murali both want ya. Besides you're really
close with us."

"I cannot respond to that." Salvador dipped his hand in the water and
lowered himself into it.

"Did ya.. uhm like the sex?" Erik scratched his head.

Salvador blushed again "It was... good."

"Haha guess we turned ya?" Erik smiled.

"I guess so..." Salvador lowered his face into the water.

"It was Murali's idea to seduce you."

"Verdad? (Really?)"

"Yeah... but it was a good idea in the end." it was Erik's turn to blush
"Mind if I join ya?"

"No go ahead." Salvador made room and Erik dropped his naked flesh into the
water.

"Nice and warm." Erik smiled again and added some bath salts.

Salvador washed his body with a bar of soap and Erik watched "We should
head to bed Sal. We have a flight ya know."

"You are right." Salvador began drying himself off.

"Are ya going to think about it?" Erik asked again.

"We will see." Salvador gave a smile and went to bed and Erik quickly
followed.

Alarms rang almost simultaneously at 4 am, tired yawns resounded
throughout the room. They dressed, and gathered their things in hopes of
avoiding Lavanya's breakfast. The shuttle ride was a mixture of resentment
and awe as they swerved in and out of traffic. Cows did not go out of their
way to hinder their trip, and they managed to reach the airport with an
hour to spare. An attendant in a sari bid them farewell and they boarded
the plane. Passengers gazed curiously at the two Europeans, and they
whispered amongst themselves. Flight attendants could not help but giggle
as they passed the three men, if only they knew. Salvador watched the
runway outside, and Erik dove into a thick novel. Murali gazed about in
boredom; curious eyes would turn every so often and whispers
continued. Lavanya joined them with a large carryon bag to her side, her
face in a bemused smile as she sat across from Murali.

"How long do we think you will be gone? A year?" Murali asked teasingly.

"You are moving back to the United States. I want to stay for awhile."
Lavanya smiled.

"Where's your husband?"

"He cannot come, he is doing training." Lavanya responded sadly.

"He always wanted to go to the U.S." Murali added.

"I know. I will bring him back something."

An attendant made the usual precautionary speech , and the plane
began to rattle with movement. The runway outside began to streak by , and
the plane ascended into the sky. Murali had only his sister to talk to;
Erik and Salvador were chatting rapidly in Catalan. Attendants rolled out
with the usual food that made you full instantly, and Murali snacked on
peanuts. He wondered what they were discussing and attempted to listen in.

"La festa sera magnific. (The party will be great)."

"Has tu preparat le decoracios? (Have you prepared the decorations?)"

Murali saw Erik nod, he decided to give on trying to understand. Lavanya
smiled as if she knew. Lavanya patted the seat next to her "Come chat with
me."

Murali sighed and sat "I wish they wouldn't talk in Catalan."

"Well we are talking in Hindi, that is what you get for dating foreigners."
Lavanya laughed.

"True.. but Arman knows French."

"What does Erik speak?" Lavanya asked curiously.

"Many things."

"Obviously! But what is his native?" Lavanya smacked Murali's arm.

"Maltese."

"Like the dog?" Lavanya started laughing.

"Hahaha he will kill you. No it's a weird language."

"How?"

"Ask him to say something?" Murali said with a smile.

Lavanya rolled hey eyes "Hey Erik?"

Erik paused and turned "Yeah?"

"Say something in Maltese for me."

"Like what?" Erik raised an eyebrow.

"How about you're beautiful?"

"Narcissistic." Murali whispered and laughed.

"Tidher sabiha." Erik replied and returned to his conversation.

"I see your point." Lavanya laughed.

"It sounds hard to learn." Murali said solemnly.

"I am sure with enough effort , you will be fine." Lavanya patted his back.

_____

After what seemed like ages in flight, the plane landed with a
thud. Passengers began opening the overhead compartments and talking
amongst themselves. Murali and Lavanya went off speaking casually in Hindi
leaving Salvador and Erik. It was rather nice outside and the sun was
nearling high noon. 16 hours had taken a toll and Erik cracked his neck for
comfort. Inside the airport they gathered their things and found a shuttle
waiting. Erik dialed the house and waited for someone to answer.

"Hello?" Arman's voice resounded.

"Were on our way get ready."

"Alright." Various voices were heard before the phone hung up.

They piled in the shuttle and soon were on the highway heading
towards home. Murali looked at Erik with an analytical expression. Lavanya
titlted her head in the direction of her suitcase and mouthed the word
sherwanis. Salvador had fallen asleep and laid his head against Erik's
shoulder, on accident of course. Erik began to feel uncomfortable with
Murali's face, why was he looking at him like that?

"Something wrong Murali?"

"Do you know what day it is?" Murali asked shyly

"Not really." Erik lied with the best of his ability.

"I see." Murali said crest-fallen, he turned his head towards the window.

They arrived at the house and Murali gathered his things and was
out the door, a look of irritation on his face. Erik laughed along with
Salvador and Lavanya.

"In 5,4,3,2,1.." Erik felt satisfied at the yell of surprise."He owes me
one that's for sure."

Erik entered the house and was taken aback at the decorations. A
deep red fabric hung from the walls in a similar fashion to the festival,
furniture was moved to make room for a long table with cushions. Elegant
Indian lanterns and fragrant candles were lit and cast a glow. Lavanya
tapped his shoulder and handed him two garment bags, she pushed him and
Salvador to go up the stairs.

"Go get dressed. I will get the party started." Lavanya smiled

Erik dressed in the sherwani and assited Salvador in his, they
heard music being carried up the stairs and looked at each other with the
same conclusion. Erik led the way and saw Lavanya standing in a circle of a
sea of familiar faces. She was speaking in Hindi first and upon seeing Erik
waved them over. Erik felt a hand clasp his shoulder and saw his father at
his side. He smiled and invited Erik to sit next to him, the air was warm
and the flood of friends and family nostalgic. Salvador was being embraced
tightly by his parents and Francisco sat to his right. Arman and Alphonse
were chatting with Rikkardu, and Murali's family directly across. Roshan
and Padma smiled at him, and Murali looked guilty.

"It is good to see you again Nazzarenu." Roshan smiled warmly.

"It is good to see you too." Erik shook hands across the table.

"Your father is very nice." Padma added.

"Your mother is in Gozo, so she could not come." Massimiljanu rubbed his
son's back."Murali why so quiet? No hello?"

"Oh h-hello." Murali sputtered.

"So Nazzarenu, have you thought about marriage yet?" Roshan asked
curiously.

"Roshan give them time, I am sure he will decide soon." Massimiljanu
quickly responded.

"Grazzi." Erik whispered.

"You are not off the hook yet, as the Americans say. I want to know too."
His father winked.

Lavanya followed by Salvador's mother held various platters in
their arms and gently set them on the table. It was a mixture of Indian and
Spanish dishes with the occasional Maltese dish. With eagerness guests
began serving themselves, wine flowed like a river and the chatter
increased in volume. Murali kept his eyes locked with Erik's as he ate, he
had guilt ridden eyes and chatter was between their parents. Music suddenly
blared from the speakers, and Lavanya stood with an excited expression.

She began speaking rapidly, her accent piercing every word

"I would like to propose a dance, everyone gather and hurry. Let's begin!"

She clapped her hands as the Hindi music blasted, with a pull she
led Erik to the dance floor and a shocked Murali. People laughed as they
were led by Lavanya in an energetic bollywood dance. Soon various others
were pulled into the crowd, Massimiljanu and Salvador's parents were
amongst the victims. After what seemed like two hours of dancing, the music
stopped and a familiar tune began to play. Lavanya turned Murali in the
direction and Erik turned to see a smiling Salvador. Microphone in hand and
with a wink, he began singing David Bustamante's song of love. Silence fell
as the words filled the room, tempting hearts and hums. Salvador's parents
were especially moved as they mouthed the words. Each note that sprung from
Salvador's lips were as beautiful as the song for the funeral. Erik had not
expected to find himself fixated, sure he had heard the angelic voice
before.. but this time it rang through his ears. With a last word, Salvador
took a breath, ear shattering applause swept across the room. Murali
embraced Salvador lovingly, his arms around the taller man. Erik tousled
the black hair and kissed the silky smooth cheek. Guests gave compliments
and asked series of questions, flustered Salvador attempted to answer each
one. Salvation came with Salvador's mother bringing out a large cake,
flames flickering on the candles. Murali's face lit up like a child on
christmas morning.

After the cake was decimated and chatter ceased, the guests began
to part ways. Francisco and Avan smiled and embraced Erik with
congrats. Avan slipped Erik a note and they departed for a night of sex
most likely, Cecil playfully ruffled Erik's head. Gifts were left and Arman
delivered his personally, Alphonse made a mischevious face. Erik could only
wonder what they chose for him and Murali. A sad sight greeted them as the
last of the guests left, Salvador's family helped him with his things as
they walked out the door. Erik and Murali ran quickly to the door, Salvador
gave a strained smile.

"You're leaving Sal?"

"You can't go." Murali added

Salvador waved his parents to go on "I am sorry. If I do not go back I will
not get that job. I will be here for a few more days."

"That is not the real reason is it Sal?" Erik replied and Salvador sighed

"I have done what I could, you two are a good couple. I am sure you will be
fine. It was ood that... you tried to incorporate me into your
relationship. But, I feel that I am always the third wheel... as the
americans say. This will give you a chance to spend time with one another."
Salvador smiled gently.

"But we want you to stay." Murali said pleadingly.

Erik put a hand on Murali's shoulder "He's right Murali."

Murali looked up at Erik with confusion "What do you mean?"

"We can't always turn to him to fix our problems.. He has been kind enough
to help us whenever he could but we didn't thank him. Sex only made him
feel more like a third wheel. He needs time for himself."

"I am sorry Erik." Salvador's face was filled with sadness.

"You're going to be in town for a few days, we can hang out anytime." Erik
smiled

"When I go back to Spain though, you will not see me as much."

"We promise to visit you Salvador." Murali said with reassurance.

"Good night then. " Salvador gave a quick wave and walked to the car parked
in the front yard.

"See ya tomorrow I guess." Erik laughed.

_____________

That night Murali laid in bed, Erik laid on his side breathing
softly. He did feel guilt for being angry earlier; Salvador's song echoed
in his head. Running his hand down Erik's back and groping at his ass,
Murali called out. Erik grumbled and buried his face into his
pillow. Murali tapped Erik again, this time with urgency.

"Erik?"

"What is it Murali?" Erik sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"I'm sorry."

"About what?"

"Being mad at you."

"Don't worry about it." Erik leaned over and kissed Murali's cheek.

"Have you thought about it yet?" Murali asked with curiosity.

"What marriage or fucking the living daylights out of ya?" Erik winked.

Murali giggled "I suppose both."

"Do ya want to?" Erik asked softly

"Fuck or get married?" Murali replied

"Either or." Erik squeezed Murali's cock

"Marriage? Where would we get married? How would it be?"

"It's a lot to think about, when the time is right, we'll know. For now
let's have sex befor emy dad pokes his head in."

"What do you mean?"

"He's Maltese, they are as nosy as Europeans get."

Murali felt his boxers being pulled down and Erik removing his
clothes in a flash. Hungrily Erik kissed him, their tongues intertwining
and lips colliding. They heard Massimiljanu chatting with Rikkardu
downstairs and Murali looked into Erik's eyes. It would have to be quick
but it would be pleasurable. Murali's legs were spread as far as possible
and the thick shaft rammed in. He felt his hole being stretched as the
steel rod humped his ass bareback. Erik wasted no time in brutally ramming
in and out, clenching his teeth to prevent yells from escaping. Murali felt
like he was in heaven, the sensation of giving his body to Erik a
nostalgia. He gripped the sheets with one hand as he stroked his shaft with
the other. The flaming spear ravaged his hole with thrusts that would go
almost all the way out and ram back in. Erik huffed and increased his pace
and with a final slam , let out a relieved sigh.

"How do ya keep it so tight Murali?"

"Must be an Indian thing." Murali continued stroking.

"Hold on, stop stroking for a minute." Erik licked his lips and leaned over
with his mouth open. "Okay now go."

Murali stroked rapidly, the fluids pumping up his shaft as the cum
in his ass drooped out. With a grunt he delivered his cream into the
awaiting mouth.

Erik wiped his cum covered lips but did not withdraw from Murali's hole "
You sure got a lot of cum."

"Always." Murali smiled

A sudden knock made them jump "Nazzarenu , can I come in?"

"Le (no), 'tini cans jekk jghogbok (one moment please)." Erik and Murali
donned their clothing and sprayed air freshener.

"Come in." Murali called.

Massimiljanu entered with an amused expression "I knew what you were
doing. Next time be more quieter."

Erik flushed "What is it missier (dad)?"

"I was hoping you could take a walk with me."

"Me?" Erik asked

"Do you want to come? "

Erik and Murali looked at each other "Yes."

Erik stood and felt a nervous feeling in his chest, Massimiljanu turned to
Murali "We will be back soon."

Massimiljanu led Erik down a familiar path and they soon found
themselves by the river. Erik had to admit that his father was quite
imposing, and the moonlight did not help. The frigid blue eye seemed to
glow. His father offered him a seat and he sat nervously.

"Have you thought about marriage?" His father's face was serious and
inquisitive

"I have but..."

"But what?"

"I'm not sure if Murali is ready yet." Erik finished.

"I think BOTH of you are ready. Hold out your hand Nazzarenu."

Erik gave his father a questioning look, but finally yielded. His
father placed three metalic objects in his hand, and when the hand moved he
saw a memory. His grandfather and grandmother's wedding rings rested in his
palm, gold with a sheen. What struck him more was his grandmother's
engagement ring, it was gold as well and with a sunburst cut sapphire
nestled in a flower of diamonds. Erik with a quivering lip ran his thumb on
the rings and his father smiled.

"As you know my mother... your grandmother passed away recently. She left
those rings to you along with her house. Your mother's parents also sent
you a gift." His father stood and reached into his pocket, with a slight
tug two airline tickets came out. "You can have your wedding in Malta with
a Spanish priest."

"Grazzi." Erik said shyly, he did not know how to respond.

"I hope that you have a traditional one, Catholic and Maltese. But we have
to meet Murali's parents conditions."

"Of course, we will leave it to omm (mom) and Mrs.Patel."

"Come , let's head back. I am tired, America is a little too busy for
me. Still do not like it."

Erik laughed and tightened his grip on the rings. He half listened as he
contemplated his proposal.

			      Chapter XII End

Sorry It took so long. It was a crazy time for me, car accident
(not my fault of course). Now that this story is going to end soon. I would
like to thank my friend Zazu who taught me maltese and his culture, also my
dear friend Josep "The catalan". I hope I did not lose anyone on the
way. I was writing this on pain killers and a fractured wrist. Tune in next
week.
