The Mennonite-A New Start 15

   Danny and Peter were the first of the newlyweds to come out of their
house at 8:45 am into the world, Danny was all smiles as he and his new
husband walked hand and hand thought their new beginning in life
together. Peter glowed as he walked , he was with the man on his dreams,
one that loved him for just being him, regardless of what had happened to
him before they made love for the first of many times. They stopped by and
they were great together. Peter said; for his first time Danny was a caring
lover and they were very happy.

  At 11:45 and no Andr? or Arnold was in sight, Micah and I decided to drop
by and check on the love birds in case there was a problem after last
night. Micah knocked on the door and Arnold let us inside, he said; that he
would get Andr? and bring him into the living room, the poor little guy
entered into the room supported by Arnold's arm, as he sat on the sofa he
was in some major pain.

  As I asked Andr? if he was okay, Arnold brought his new love a cup of
coffee and sat it on the table. Andr? thanked his husband and said; he was
very sore but fine. Andr? said; Arnold wasn't my first but he was certainly
my largest lover by far, he made love to me deeper than any before and he
was his last lover for life. He was as caring and gentle as a man with a

night. We walked to the house hand in hand. When we waked through the front

and my old man, isn't life wonderful. Walt one the other hand was having a
little trouble getting out of the truck. Walt asked if Micah could come
over and see him for a minute, as Micah walked up to Walt he said; in a
hushed tone, help me get to the nearest chair Micah.

  Micah asked if he was ok, to which Walt replied; she damned near killed
me, 7 times last night and another 5 times already today, I had to come
over for a visit so I could get me some downtime. I've had more sex in the
last 12hrs. Than in my entire life and I'm exhausted.

 Izabella asked; Poppa is there any leftovers from last night, because my
man needs to keep his strength up so he can make me a baby as soon as
possible.

 Walt groaned; I'm dead meat, I need to up my life insurance policy before
she fucks me to death.

 Micah and I both laughed at the two of them, Micah said; welcome to the
Gunderson family Walt, it only gets better and better if she doesn't kill
you first.

 An exhausted Walt just groaned. Levi and Stewart arrived, Stewart said;
pay up big brother his ears are still on his head. Not so fast Stewart we
still don't know if he can walk straight yet. Walt laughed and said; both
of you two little smart asses lose, my ears are held on by super glue and
I'm sitting here because if I tried to walk I would fall down on my ass.

 A smart assed Stewart asked; so do I need to mark the calendar for my new
little sister then. Walt flipped his youngest son off and just smiled. To
which Levi responded; that's her job Dad and it looks like you've gotten
plenty action since we last saw you.

 Izabella came out with a plate of food for Walt and asked; what did I miss
or do I dare not want to know what my step-sons have been teasing their
poor old Dad about. And just to let you two smart asses know, your poor old
Dad still has it where it counts, in the bedroom. Both boys turned red
faced and apologized to their Dad about their poor choice of words and
disrespect to him, Walt didn't see Izabella holding up her fist to the boys
behind his back. She leaned over and kissed Walt and told him, she loved
her new husband and would help him any way he needed, especially keeping
these two in line. Walt responded that he was the luckiest man the world to
have her in his life.

  It was all Micah could do not to bust out laughing, he excused himself
and went into the house so he could let loose.

  Six weeks later Walt sat down at his desk, there was a small box on his
desk top, and it had a tag on it that read. To; Dad From; Amelia Denise. A
puzzled Walt opened the box which contained a keyring that read World's
Greatest Dad. He hollered out Hot Damned and ran out of his office to find
Izabella. He ran to her and kissed his wife and dropped to his knees then
kissed his new daughter to be. And said; daddy loves you so very much
Amelia Denise Lawson.

 Elder Edwards stopped by to see his grandson Arnold and to make sure he
was treating Andr? with the respect the he was entitled to as his spouse
and husband and the fresh garden vegetables didn't hurt. Andr? said;
grandfather please stay as our guest for a meal that I shall prepare with
this bounty of fresh food that you have graciously blessed us with. Elder
Edwards said; he would be honored to have a meal at the home of his
grandson and his husband. After Elder Edwards left the house Arnold was
chasing Andr? naked saying if I catch you I get to fuck you my fine little
French tart. And fuck him he did, on the sofa, table, counter, floor,
stove, and toilet, even in the shower. After Arnold blasted his last load
into Andr?, he told him that he was so lucky to find him. Arnold; my sweet
husband do you know what would make me the happiest person in the world?
What is that my husband, that would make you so happy.

 Andr? said; giving your Grandfather his first great grandchild and you,
your first son and then a daughter. Arnold was blown away at Andr?'s
confession he never dreamed he would become a parent much less the Edwards
name lasting past him, he thought he was the end of the line.

  Arnold said; that it would make his grandfather fulfilled knowing the
Edwards name would survive. But how Andr? we have just been joined for only
10 weeks. Andr? said; I talked to Galen and there are several boys waiting
for a forever home, we do qualify now that we are joined and can't have any
natural children, what do you think my sweet husband.

 Arnold asked; are we ready so fast my love?

Andr? replied; I've always wanted kids in my life but until I met you it
was impossible. Let's call Galen and see if we can come out and talk to him
at the home tomorrow. Arnold picked up his cell phone and called Galen and
explained to what we wished to happen in our life, Galen replied; he would
see us tomorrow. Andr? was walking on air.

  We arrived at the home and met with Galen and a social worker with all of
our records and a letter of recommendation from Elder Micah. Galen said; we
have a young man here that is going to be hard to place, he suffers from
night terrors due to the way he grew up before entering the system. He is
only 5 but he has lived a lifetime during his short time on earth. He
doesn't have a name only a case number, the staff and workers have
refrained from giving him one, leaving that to the adoptive parents. Galen
called on the radio to send 87 to the office.

  There was a knock at the door and in walked a little blonde haired blue
eyed boy. He was introduced to Arnold and Andr? and was asked if he would
like to spend the week at their home for possible placement. As they went
over the rules he crawled into Arnolds lap and was holding onto Andr?'s
hand. He told Arnold that sometimes he had bad dreams at night and scared
people when he cried out. Arnold told him if he had a bad dream as long as
he was in their home, he would keep him safe from the bad dreams.

  Two days later Arnold called Galen and asked what he and Andr? had to do
so Everett could stay in their lives forever. Galen replied that he would
stop by and bring the paperwork to sign, what is going to be his full name
so I can place it on the form. Arnold replied we decided on Everett Arnold
Edwards IV as his name. Galen said; I'll have it on the form. Galen
announced over the P.A. system the boy formally known as 87 has been
adopted and is now known as Everett Arnold Edwards IV. A cheer went up over
the whole compound by the boys who lived there.

  Galen stopped by and the final paperwork was completed and congratulated
Everett on his new home and family. As Galen walked down the sidewalk he
was greeted Elder Edwards coming by for his weekly visit with a basket full
of fresh veggies for Andr? to cook.

   Elder Edwards knocked on the door, Arnold let his grandfather
inside. The Elder was surprised to find them babysitting for the evening,
but he was a very sweet little boy, well-mannered and very well
dressed. Arnold asked his son if he would like to introduce himself to the
gentleman. The boy presented his hand and shook the man's hand and said; my
name is Everett Arnold Edwards IV, I was named after a very important man.

  As Elder Edwards shook the boy's hand he said; I'm very glad to meet you
young man and who gave you, your grand name. Everett turned around and
pointed saying; my Daddies did sir, as he turned back around he asked if he
could know his name so we could be friends. In a choking voice he stated it
was Elder Everett Arnold Edwards I, we are going to be great friends, and
then he hugged his Great Grandson for the first time.

  Micah and I were sitting and talking about life and how it had been good
to us and we thanked him for all of our blessings and our family when there
was a knock at the door. Micah opened the door and there stood a disheveled
young man 17 to 18 years old and asked if he was the one known as Elder
Micah; Micah responded he was. The young man collapsed into his arms, Micah
could see that the young man had a very bad broken arm and said; Clayton
call, Ivan we need a doctor here now.

  Micah brought the young man into the house and laid him upon the sofa and
hollered at the boys to bring him a blanket, Robert came running with a
quilt and David retrieved the young man's pack that was lying on the
porch. I placed a cool cloth upon his forehead and took another to clean
him up as good as possible.

   Ivan arrived and went into full-on Doctor Mode; he cut the young man's
shirt off to check him for further injuries after seeing the trauma he
said; we need to get him to the office where Andy was still working.

  Ivan asked if we knew who he was or where he was from incase he had any
family. David was digging through his pack and found a note that stated: My
name is Lewis Sanders if you find my body there is no one to contact, I'm
alone in this world. Micah remarked that his clothes looked like he was
from one of the creek sects. But if he was placed out, he truly had no one
who would claim him.

 Ivan became furious and said; how could anybody treat such a precious
young man like a piece of trash and throw them away. I responded that it
happens all too often in this world and as long as there is intolerance it
will continue to happen.

 I sat in the backseat of the van and Ivan laid Lewis's head into my lap,
we left the house and Micah drove us to the Clinic where Andy was waiting
for us to arrive. When we arrived Ivan gently lifted Lewis's 5'9" body and
carried him into the exam room. Andy was taken back to the scenes of horror
he had seen in third world countries when he saw Lewis's broken and
battered body.

  Andy asked; what the Hell happened to this young man? Micah answered
unknown; he showed up on our steps and collapsed into my arms, but he's
home now and will never need for anything anymore. Andy grabbed pair of
triage scissors and cut off Lewis's pants and checked for signs of other
physical trauma and sexual assault. Andy stated there were no signs of
violation to the young man.

  Lewis's boots had rubbed blisters on his feet from the miles he had
apparently walked that day. Andy and Ivan worked on Lewis as a team, while
he was still passed out from the physical exhaustion and pain set his
broken arm.

  Andy gave him an injection for the pain then placed an ampule of smelling
sauce to wake him up, after 4 whiffs of the sauce Lewis started to come
around. When he awoke; Lewis was terrified by his surroundings and the
strangers there. Andy sat down beside him and said; he was among friends
now and no one would ever hurt him again in this life.

  Lewis broke down and started to sob, he tried to stop him but he was
strong and then he pushed him from the barn loft. He was so ashamed he
didn't stop the man from making advance towards him. I hushed him and
cuddled the crying Lewis in my arms and told he was safe now; Elder Micah
and I would take care of him in our home.

  Andy placed Lewis's clothes in a bag as evidence if needed for later
on. Ivan handed me some pain pills for Lewis later on for the pain. I
wrapped Lewis in a clean blanket and Micah picked him up and kissed him on
the forehead and carried him to the van. I held him in my lap for the ride
home. Ivan was concerned and furious about what had happened to Lewis and
stated; if any man ever tries to hurt a child of mine, he will live in the
dirt forever.

  We arrived at the house and Ivan picked up Lewis and carried him onto the
house, David told him Robert and I made up the spare bed in our room for
Lewis to stay in and we put a pad under the sheet in case he was hurt that
way too. Robert said; I checked out his bag and found out what size
underwear he would wear and they are on the bed waiting for him since he
had none of his own in his bag and Poppa we washed his clothes they were so
dirty, they are clean but they are in very bad shape.

    I thanked my sons for their thoughtfulness and said; as soon as he was
able we would take him to Mrs. Tang's for new ones so he would feel like a
real family member in his new family. David smiled and said; until then I
know where I can find him some that will fit his skinny self until you can
put weight on his bones.

  Micah asked his son just where he was going to find these so called
clothes at. David responded in Jonah's closet, he's such a clothes whore he
will never miss them, he has things he can't even wear and they still have
the tags on them. Micah said; still ask him and Daniel first you know how
possessive the girl gets over his clothes.

 Lewis had been asleep for over 5 hours when Daniel and Jonah brought their
noisy asses in for the evening. I shushed them so they wouldn't wake
him. Daniel asked; what's up. Micah responded we have a new house guest and
you two loudmouths better not wake him up or Poppa will tan your
backsides. Jonah asked; where is the guest at daddy. Micah said; he is
sleeping in David and Robert's room and if you don't disturb him you may go
see him.

They eased in the room and were shocked when they returned to the living
room. Daniel asked; who is he Daddy and how did he get here to the house.

  Micah responded; his name according to a note found in his bag, his name
is Lewis Sanders, he walked here from where he was beaten and his arm was
broken by an attacker, he asked for sanctuary before he passed out from
pain and exhaustion in my arms, Ivan and Andy patched him up and checked
for any other problems but he was only beaten half to death by his attacker
from his clothing he was from one of the most restrictive creek sects. But
he's home now per Poppa and me so treat him like one of our own.

  Jonah that brings me to you, I understand that you might have some
clothes that will fit him in your possessions that you can no longer wear;
any help that you can give will make him feel accepted into our
family. Daniel he has plenty he can give if the clothes whore will turn
loose of them. Clayton stepped out of the kitchen and said; he will share
what he has that he no longer uses or he will go to work in only his
underwear for the next week.

  Jonah said; yes Poppa I will give him all of the clothes he will need to
start over his new life here, I will never forget what has been done for me
here by you and Daddy.

 I spoke; Doc. Ivan and Doc. Andy figure that he is about 17-18 but no more
based on his bodies maturity level, so he probably just started to notice
his attraction to men when he was found out and beaten then removed from
the community. So he is feeling a lot of guilt and self-loathing for his
actions. From what little was able to say; he tried to tell the person no,
but something happened and he was beaten and thrown from the loft of a barn
by his attacker. He must feel acceptance from all of us.

  Robert who was on Lewis watch came to the door and said; he was starting
to come around we needed to get in there. I sat by his side holding his
hand and Micah was on his other side and placed his hand along his
face. Lewis opened his eyes and asked; where he was at I told him he was at
the home of Elder Micah and Clayton Gunderson, he was at home now and he
would stay with us as one of our own from now on.

  He looked at Micah and said; I'm so ashamed, I let him kiss me and I
didn't stop him, he was a married man and I soiled him according to our
rules, this is my entire fault.

  Micah said; Lewis if he was a married man and he started the kiss then he
is the one at fault and should be shammed not you. Will you tell us how you
came to have a broken arm and all of these bruises on your body?

 We were working in the hayloft of the barn when we bumped into each other
and he grabbed me and kissed me on my lips and I wrapped my arms around him
and let him kiss me harder when his body began to respond to the kiss he
shoved me away and he began to hit upon my body calling me foul names, he
got off the top of me then threw me from the barn onto the wagon outside
below, I fell on the wagon and then the ground. He came out of the barn and
stomped his boot upon my arm breaking it. He told others that I touched his
maleness and he pushed out of his way and I fell. I was given the only
things I owned and put out of the community never allowed to re-enter. I
heard from others that there was a place where the menfolk lived together
in sin and would burn in Hell forever.

  After I saw this place standing here I decided to see if you would let a
sinner like me live here until could I die.

 Micah responded to Lewis; you are safe here in the Giving Community you
may live here as long as you want to. You will not live in sin here, if you
find the person that you are intended to be with you will have to be joined
together before you are allowed to lay with him and have carnal relations
with him.

   We have our rules here also. Will you tell me and Poppa your age so we
can decide what kind of legal actions needs to be taken in your behalf?
Lewis answered: I was 18 two days past so I'm an adult now according to
man's law, but per our sect until an unmarried man turns 30 he has no
voice. If he's 18 and Joined with a female and they produced an heir, then
he has the respect as an adult.

  I asked; how old was the one that did this to you Lewis. Lewis spoke; he
is 45 and married but his wife has yet to give him a child to carry on his
line, so he blames her family and he took it out on me for my older
sister's inability to give him a child.

  Micah responded; her womb has been closed from his seed by the Almighty
himself and she will never be allowed to bare his children due to him
living a lie, the fault isn't yours .

 The doorbell rang; David answered it and hollered its Ivan and Andy here
to check on the new kid of yours. Micah said; I hope you like little
brothers who can be a pain in the butt because you have two of them now.

  Micah left the room so he could fill in Ivan and Andy with the
information we found out about Lewis since they had last seen him.
