The Mennonite - A New Start 36

    The joining went off perfectly and everyone was very happy, Clyde asked
his Mom where they were going to honeymoon at? Liza replied that Henri and
she were going to stay at Foxworth Manor for the first few months to be on
the safe side Clyde asked; is everything ok with the baby mom or was she
having problems?

   No son; everything is going great but until I see Eve for my 6 week
check-up I'm not putting this baby at risk by doing anything stupid. When
Henri isn't driving Jarvis will be, Henri's orders because let's face it my
driving sucks. Clyde laughed at his Moms statement about her driving. Danis
walked up and said; I can see your baby tummy already, he is going to be a
big one, Liza took a seat and motioned for Danis to come to her, he thought
he was in trouble for saying she had a tummy. Liza hugged her Great Nephew
and said; he is growing very quickly isn't he, that means he can't wait to
meet his sweet cousin.

  The first 6 weeks flew by and she had an appointment with Eve today. Liza
had been staying close to the house; Henri hired Liza a personal assistant
to be at the house when he was away at work.  Eve was shocked when she saw
Liza for the first time since the joining; she had gained a lot of
weight. Eve was concerned for her, Eve checked her blood pressure and it
was fine when asked Liza remarked she was healthy, eating fresh fruits and
steamed veggies and she had already gained 15 pounds. Eve told Liza to
return in 2 weeks she wanted to do a 3-d sonogram to check out what was
going on with the baby, but not to worry everything we looking great.

  Liza was very concerned about the pregnancy, Henri told her to calm down
and everything would be fine. He was very worried that something might be
wrong. He drove to the house, Clyde needed to see his mother to help calm
her down; Liza needed to be around family.

  Clyde was shocked when he saw how big his mother was, Jenny said; calm
down we have 2 weeks to go before she sees the Doctor again, she could be
like me and having twins and laughed. Liza remarked that's not even funny
my daughter. Clyde said; you did say you wanted to have several children
with Henri didn't you mom. Liza flipped her son off. It was 2 weeks of pins
and needles for Liza and Henri.

  The next time Eve saw Liza she had gained another 5lbs. Eve was
preforming the procedure when she called for Andy to come in and assist
her, Andy had Liza lay in her right side then her left and finally her
back. Henri and Liza were very worried because they weren't saying
anything; Liza broke the ice when she demanded to know what the fuck is
wrong with my baby.

Andy replied they are perfect Liza, Liza stuttered and said; did you say
they doctor. Yes Liza I did, would you and Henri like to see them? Andy
turned the monitor around and there were 4 images on the screen, Liza said;
look Henry they got different photos of the twins. Andy laughed and said;
no Mommy, He pointed to the screen and said; this is baby #1, #2, #3 and
finally #4. You two are having quadruplets. Would you like to know the
sexes of the babies?

  Henri inquired; you ca tell us this early in the pregnancy?  Andy not
normally but in this case yes. Liza said; then tell me what am I having
Doc.

 There is no doubt #1 and #3 are boys, they must take after their daddy, #2
and #4 appear to be girls we will repeat this test next month. Would you
two like a photo to show off to everyone? Henri said; Hell yes make two
copies, one to save and one to show off. Andy remarked; Liza you understand
that this makes you high risk and need to be very careful during this
pregnancy.

  Liza replied Henri has already hired me a C.N.A. to be at the house when
he's away. Andy remarked that's great and soon you will need to upgrade to
include also a RN in the L&D field, and take no chances.

  Henri and Liza were in shock as they left the clinic, as they sat in the
car Henri replied; let's go tell the kids the great news.

 Liza called Jenny to see if they were at home, Jenny replied; they were
Rob and Joe's having lunch. Even better yet said Liza we need to speak to
everyone, we just left the clinic.

  Danis was waiting at the window when we drove up, He opened the door and
ran out to the car and gave Liza a hug and asked; are you feeling ok Aunt
Liza, are the babies ok in your tummy. Yes young man they are just fine but
let's keep that a secret for now. Henri helped his wife out of the car and
they along with Danis walked into the house, Liza sat on the sofa.

 Clyde asked; Mom is everything ok with you and the baby. Liza said; no son
it's not, come have a seat beside me we need to talk, a shaken Clyde sat
beside his Mother and held her hand and said we will be here for you two.

Liza reached into her purse and removed the photo of the babies and said;
here are the results of the sonogram. As Clyde looked at the photo he
remarked that there were several shots of the baby and they were very
clear. Danis asked if he could see the photo, he remarked oh wow there's 4
babies on the photo.

  Clyde said; no Danis those are different angles of the baby. Danis
replied; no it's not you dummy, here on the bottom it says baby #1, #2, #3
and #4 even I can count. Clyde looked at the photo and remarked; Holy Shit
it is 4 babies, you're having quadruplets Mom no wonder you're getting so
big so fast. Henri and Liza were so excited and they started to laugh at
Clyde's reaction to the photo.

  Henri said; Clyde your mother is considered very high risk and she won't
be traveling much throughout the pregnancy, so you will need to come for a
visit when you want to see her. If she does visit it will be for several
days in a row. Clyde said; that's perfect you two are always welcome here
any time. Rob called us and relayed the wonderful news.

Jenny remarked; when your time is close at hand you and Henri need to come
stay with us in the spare room so you will be near Dr. Andy, Dr. Eve and
Dr. Ivan in case you go into labor in the middle of the night.

  Liza responded that's nice but I wouldn't want to put you kids out
any. Clyde said; no Mom when you get close or if you have any trouble, you
and Henri will stay with us period and that is not up for discussion.

  The doorbell rang and Micah went to see who was at the door, he opened
the door and there stood a young teenage dark haired boy. He was dirty, his
clothes were ripped and he had been severely beaten, I picked up me phone
and called Andy, and requested he bring his bag and to come to the house as
fast as he could. Micah asked the boy to come inside and have a seat, the
boy said; mister I can't sit down I will get your furniture dirty if I do
sir. Micah helped the young teenager inside and told David to get a couple
of towels for him to sit upon. Micah shook his head as he looked at the
youngsters pants from the back.

  What is your name young man and why did you seek us out here at the
Giving Community. Sir my name is Ned and I am looking for my half-brother
who supposed to live here. I told the boy we will find your brother if he
still lives here but for now have a seat and rest, I have a Dr. on the way
to see you. Andy opened the door and said; I'm here Poppa, what's the
problem? I responded Ned here needs your help Andy.

  Andy's heart went out to the boy when he saw him. Poppa, can we get him
to a bed so he can lay down and I can check him? Micah picked the teen up
and carried him to the spare room so Andy could help him. Andy said; Poppa
I will need your help please. I walked into the room Andy said; grab a can
liner we will need to bag his clothes for evidence. Ned said; please no
these are the only clothes I have. I responded; not to worry Ned, my boys
have spares and we have a whole storeroom of clothes for boys just like
you. I removed the teen's clothes, his body was covered with bruises and
bite marks, Andy checked Ned and said; Ned I'm going to have to put a few
stitches in your bottom to stop the bleeding from where you were hurt.

  Andy asked Ned; young man will you tell me who did this to you. Ned
started to cry and said; it was his moms new boyfriend and she blamed me so
I ran away to find my older half-brother Rob. Andy said; it will be ok Ned
first I will fix you up and you can rest then we will find your brother. I
walked out of the room as Andy started to put the stitches in Ned's rectum.

  I said; Micah we have us a big problem and his name is Rob
Gunderson. Micah looked at me shocked and asked; what do you mean and why
does this concern Rob. Micah, Ned is Rob's half-brother, he was raped by
his mom's new boyfriend, and she blamed him for it so he ran away. Micah
said; that means Ned couldn't have been no older than 5 or 6 when Rob was
kicked out and he came looking for him after all of this time. Yes Micah,
that's true but I also know that our son and you have the same temper when
it comes to hurting a child.

   After a little while Andy came out of the room and said; I repaired all
of the physical damage and given him a very strong pain killer and he is
resting at this time. It will take him a little time to heal but he is a
very lucky young man, Andy handed me a bottle of pain killers and said to
use these carefully they are addictive. Thank you Andy for all of your
help; now we need to go tell his brother Rob, Ned's here at our house after
almost 11 years apart. Andy bid us goodbye for the night but to call if we
needed anything else. Micah remarked; how about some horse tranquilizers
for Rob when we tell him about Ned.

  I asked; David and Alec to please keep a watchful eye on Ned, if he
started to wake before we returned. I called Galen and briefed his on what
was going on and asked him to meet us at Rob and Joe's house, so we could
tell him, not knowing how he would react to the news. I remember the time
when his Daddy turned over his truck when he lost his temper.

  I called Joe and told we were on our way to their house, Rob's Daddy
needed to talk him. Joe asked if everything was ok, I replied that we would
talk about that when we arrived. Rob was standing in the front doorway
holding Liza Anne when we walked up, he inquired if all was ok? Micah
replied; we need to have a seat inside and we will talk to you son.

 Micah started; Rob do you have a half-brother by the name of Ned? Yes
Daddy; I do but I haven't seen him since I was kicked out of the house
almost 11 years ago Sir. Daddy; you are worrying me is everything okay with
Neddie?

   Rob, he was hurt when he showed up at the house looking for you at our
home. Dr. Andy has repaired the damage and gave him a strong pain killer so
he is resting. He will be ok physically but there will be emotional scars
for a long time. Daddy what happened to Neddie, Rob asked as he held Danis
and Liza Anne even close to him for comfort.

  Your Mom was drunk and passed out, her new boyfriend beat the Hell out of
Ned then he forced himself on him, it took Andy 9 stitches to repair the
physical damage but the mental scars will take a long time. Rob sat there
and kissed his children and asked; when can we see him Daddy. I said; Rob
he is resting, you can see him but I want you to know nothing was broken
but he looks bad. The assault took place 2 days ago so he shows the bruises
now and has bite marks all over his body but he is now safe.

 I told Micah for him and Galen to take Rob and Joe to the house so he
could see Ned and I would stay here with the children. Liza was on the
phone and talking to someone about what was going on and thanked them then
hung up the phone. Liza said; Rob I just spoke to my friend Julia, she's
the Magistrate that brought the children here and told her everything, they
will arrest the boyfriend and your Mom, she has promised Ned will never
have to see her again, he will stay here with you, Joe and the children
period.

  Rob hugged her neck and said to Micah; let's go Daddy and they left the
house. Rob had to stop on the way to the house and be sick, he took a few
deep breaths and said; I'm okay, I want to see him.

  David and Alec were sitting by Ned's bedside when Rob and Joe arrived;
they excused themselves and left the room. Rob started to break when he saw
his brother's bruised face; he walked to the bedside and lifted the sheet
that covered his little brothers abused body. It was more than Rob could
handle and he started to cry. Joe walked beside his husband, held him and
said; it will be okay he's safe now and will live with us.

  Ned started to wake up and when he saw his big brother he started to cry,
I tried to stop him but he hurt me bad, I'm sorry I let him soil me
Rob. Rob sat beside Ned and said; you are safe now Neddie, you will live
with us now. Ned drifted back to sleep, Rob was enraged; if I find the
bastard that did this, I will kill him with my bare hands. Joe grabbed Rob
and said; think about our children and let the Magistrate handle
this. Please give her a chance to punish them both.

  Rob asked if he could spend the night beside Ned so he wouldn't be alone
any more. Micah said; son you can do anything you want to do, but first you
need to explain to Danis why his Dad won't be at home tonight, we will stay
here until you get back. Rob and Joe left for home and he would return
soon.

  Rob returned but he had Danis with him. Micah asked if it was a good move
for Danis to see Ned in the shape he was in. Danis responded; Dad said his
brother was here, he was hurt and looked bad. But I want to stay with my
Dad and help my Uncle Neddie to get well.

  Micah Looked at Rob and said; you have a very tough little kid there. Rob
responded he's all Gunderson, Daddy. Rob made a pallet on the floor next to
the bed. Danis leaned over and kissed Ned on his cheek and said; get well
soon we have to go get ice cream Uncle Neddie.

  The next Morning Rob awoke to find Danis in bed next to Ned cuddled up to
his arm holding Ned's hand. Ned started to wake up and realized he wasn't
alone in bed, he looked at the young boy wrapped around his arm then he saw
his brother sitting on his bed side, who is this kid Rob?

  That Neddie is your nephew Danis and he has been by your side most of the
night. Ned couldn't believe his ears, his nephew Rob's son was next to
him. Rob, I'm sorry for being a burden to you but I didn't know what else
to do. Neddie you're my brother and never a burden to us.

 Ned asked whose house he was at. You Ned are at my parent's home and you
are very safe here. When you are better you will stay with me and my
family. Mom said; you were gay and that's why you ran away, guess she was
wrong. Ned I'm gay but I can still have a family, but I didn't run away she
kicked me out. My Daddy and his husband Clayton came and picked me up and
brought me here.  They helped me make something of myself until I met Joe,
fell in love and we were joined now have two great kids together. Danis is
there with you, Liza Anne is at home with Joe, they will be here after she
wakes up.

 Danis opened his eyes and said; hello Uncle Neddie, I'm Danis your
nephew. Ned said; hello young man glad to meet you. Danis replied when you
feel like it you can come to our house and live with us, I'll share my room
with you in-case you have bad dreams again.

Ned thanked the young boy and asked Rob if he could get him a robe and help
him so he could use the bathroom. Rob helped Ned put on his robe and walked
him to the bath room; he sat Ned on the toilet and gave him some privacy
then helped him back to the bed. Alec brought in a cup of coffee for Ned
and a glass of chocolate milk for Danis and said; that Poppa will bring in
a tray for Ned but Danis better head into the dining room if he wanted any
of Poppa's special waffles and sausages. Danis said; I'll be back after I
eat then left the room drinking his milk.

  That boy is something else, where's his Mom at Rob asked Ned? Who knows
we adopted him and he is ours now. Ned remarked; I thought he was yours, I
didn't know he was adopted that's so neat he looks just like you. Rob I'm
not going back home, when she finds me she will try everything to get me
back for the support of my trust fund. Rob said; the Hell she will, we have
an ace up our sleeve in the judicial system, that bitch is finished as far
as I'm concerned.

  I carried in a tray of food for Ned and he was amazed at what I had for
him to eat. Rob if you want anything to eat you know your way to the table,
I'll sit with Ned for a while. Yes Poppa; thank you for all you have done
for him already. Rob hugged me and went to get him something to eat.

  Ned looked at me and said; thank you for all you have done for me. Ned,
you are Robs brother why wouldn't have helped you and you were hurt. Ned
replied; others wouldn't help on the way from Hopkins Area, they saw me and
walked away even the cops there. I said; that was them, we here care about
our fellow man when he's in trouble. But he soiled me and did the dirty
with me, and yet you didn't turn your back on me. Ned; you were raped and
the man that did this to you is a horrible person he will be punished for
it, you my young man are the victim here you did nothing wrong. David
walked in the room and said; Poppa I will stay with Ned while you go eat
breakfast while there is still something left, beside he might want to talk
someone closer to his age. I kissed my son on his cheek and left the room.

 Ned looked at David and said; you have two fathers how weird is that? It's
not weird it's normal in my life now. Ned; they have loved me when no one
else would; they have been there as my family when there were no others
willing to take me in. And I have brothers and sisters to help me when I
need it, I have a Daddy and a Poppa that love me very much in live for this
I am blessed.
