    I was in the kitchen getting a sandwich when Micah said; can you come
here for a minute and talk to me for a minute. I walked into the living
room and sat down on the sofa, I asked him if everything was okay because
his tone concerned me. Clayton do you think that Tommie is ready for a
committed relationship with Erwin or he just too young. Micah; Tommie is
far more mature than you think, to find that special person that you are
meant to be with for the rest of your life is so rare these days, do you
remember the way you first felt when we met for the first time and how it
felt deep down in your soul no matter what you were told how to feel. Micah
said; that's what I needed to hear my love; Erwin has met with the Elders
and asked to be allowed to move into the community and take a small one
bedroom cabin so he can ready it for their life together after he graduates
next week, and Tommie turns 17 in one month. I excitedly asked; do you
think they will approve his request Micah. They already have Clayton all
that's left is to tell Erwin, Tommie and the Holden's the news. No I said;
first we have to make sure the cabin is ready for them because they have
nothing at all to their names, Erwin needs a job and Tommie still has to
finish school. Done; responded Micah, Erwin will assist Galen on the farm
so he can learn a trade and Tommie will be required to finish school or
they will not be allowed to live together as life mates in the community. I
smiled and said; Micah Earl have I told you lately how lucky I am to have
you in my life.

I called Ellen and asked her if we sent the boys over to visit would she
and Stephan bring Tommie to our house so he and Erwin could meet and have a
talk. While I was setting this up Micah called Erwin and had him come over
for a meeting, he said; yes sir I'm on my way. Erwin arrived first and
Micah said for him to have a seat until the others arrived. The doorbell
rang, Micah opened it and the Holden's walked in followed by Tommie who sat
beside Erwin, I showed the Holden's to a seat. Micah started out Erwin you
and Tommie are very young and some feel that he is too young to know what
is best for him, and you are blinded with the lust that a young man can let
cloud his judgement. Tommie started to cry and said; I know what I feel and
I love him. Micah started again at 17 Tommie some feel you need to mature
and wait for another year before committing yourself to another and Erwin
you have nothing to offer him, no job, no home, no hope of future. Erwin
held Tommie as he cried to comfort him.

With that said; others feel with the proper guidance, a job, home and that
Tommie finishes his school you two will be able to make it with all of the
odds stacked against you and will become stronger, so Erwin your request
for admittance to the Giving Community and the Cabin have been
approved. Erwin excitedly said; really are you for sure, when can I move in
and what's the job, as long as I have a job I don't care, hell I'll shovel
pig shit if I have to, he hugged Tommie as hard as he could. Tommie went
for surprise to shock and said; Erwin, we have nothing what will we do?
Erwin said; I don't care if we have to sleep and sit on the floors have to
use an ice chest for our food as long as we're together I don't
care. Stephan spoke up and said; this is not going to happen, I won't allow
it. Tommie responded with why would not want me to be happy
Stephan. Stephan said; no son of mine will have to sleep or sit on the
floor of the home he has chosen to make with his husband, I may not be a
rich man in money but I have plenty of friends who will make sure my son is
happy in his life. Tommie jumped up and hugged Stephan's neck and asked if
he meant it when he called him his son. Yes and I want everybody to know
how proud I am of you and Erwin and that you have chosen to commit to one
another. Ellen got up and hugged them both and told them this is what a
family does they support each other, she turned to Erwin and said; you
young man need to work hard and build you and Tommie a future because I
want me some grandchildren one day. Erwin turned red-faced and said; yes
Mrs. Holden, to which Ellen responded its Mom to you young man and get used
to it.

Tommie, I said; tomorrow is Saturday and you are coming with your mother
and I to see Doctor Ed and you don't have an option in this matter, Erwin
you need to be here at 8:00 am for a meeting about your future.

Mr. Clayton what is it for, this meeting. Micah spoke up it's about your
new job that you will start on the Monday after you graduate school next
Friday. Yes sir I'll be here bright and early, can Mr. Holden be there
also. Not a problem if he wishes to be there.

As we drove to the Doctor's appointment Tommie asked why do I have to see
the doctor I'm not sick. I responded he thought it was best that you had a
checkup before you move in with Erwin after the other day. Ellen asked what
happened the other day. The boy's nickname is snuff, that's short for
snuffleupagus so think about it Ellen. Oh my gosh! she responded exactly
how close is his nickname to the truth? Tommie spoke up from the back seat

had suffered when he was younger. Doctor released the device and promptly

go get some ice creams and talk about what took place at the doctor's
office. Tommie was silent and reserve until he asked; why he had to hurt me
down there like the mean men did, they had already hurt him enough when

Ellen said; my precious Tommie, Doctor Ed had to check you to make sure
your insides were okay so you and Erwin could live a good life together. He
did not hurt you out of wickedness like those men did all of those years
ago honey. This seemed to calm Tommie as we ate our ice cream. I said;
Tommie if you feel up to it lets go buy you a few new things for later next
month when you and Erwin move in together. That would be nice said; Tommie.

I slipped away from them and called Micah, I explained to him about Tommie
and asked him to call Erwin over to the house so we could have a talk
tonight and to tell him the Doctor wanted to see us on Monday. Micah said;
I'll have him here waiting my love.

Ellen gave Tommie a small pill and told him to take it, he would feel
better on the ride home and it would ease the discomfort he was feeling,
Tommie took the pill and he get into the back seat on the van, what was
that Ellen? Just something the doctor gave me to relax Tommie for the ride
home and will make him sleep soundly all night long but we may need a
little help with him when we get there. Damn they must be strong little
suckers if we need help getting him out of the van and into the house, I'll
call Galen and have him meet us at your home when we arrive, good thinking
said; Ellen. We hadn't been on the road a good five minutes when Ellen
remarked my poor baby is sound asleep, I know that it's not our ways but I

the Lord for forgiveness, because of the pain they would suffer by my
hands. Ellen; that's spoken like a true mother protecting her child no one
would blame you.

We arrived at the Holden's home and Galen was there waiting along with
Stephan as we drove up to the house, Galen opened the side door to the van
and picked up Tommie and carried him to the house Tommie started to mumble
that he would be good just don't hurt him. Galen nobody is going to hurt
you anymore little man I am here to protect you. Stephan's heart was
breaking as he felt his son's pain. They got Tommie ready for bed, put him
in it and covered him.

Kaden and Edward met Stephan at the door to Tommie's room; Kaden asked his
dad if he could stay with Tommie so he wouldn't have a bad dream about the
mean men hurting him again. Stephan said; it was fine just don't wake him,
let him sleep. Yes dad we won't disturb him; the boys crawled onto the bed
and lay down beside him holding him keeping him safe. Stephan had to leave
the room because his heart was breaking to pieces.

Galen said; I'll wait here you need to take a walk and compose yourself
Stephan. Ellen said; we are going to Micah and Clayton's for a meeting with
Erwin to discuss Tommie and they left. When we arrived Erwin was sitting
there waiting for us. Stephan, Ellen and I sat down, I started; Erwin how
much do you know about Tommie's past and what happened, just a little bit
he doesn't like to speak of the past I've told him if he ever needs to talk
I will listen to him without any judgement, why Mr. Clayton. Erwin When he
was younger and before he moved in the Holden's home he lived with his mom,
stepfather and 3 siblings and things were very bad they were into drugs
which they traded the children for Tommie was hurt so bad one time the
thought he was dead and left his broken and bloody body on top of a pile of
trash then ran away to avoid the law. David came to live with us when the
parents were killed after a drug deal went bad; the little girl died and
was left behind somewhere unknown. Wow said Erwin; I had no idea all of
that took place he never said anything to me. Erwin; Tommie has closed off
his memories from himself, David has faced his past and has chosen to
overcome his hardship but Tommie cannot force himself to open up and
overcome the pain that he has suffered that's the reason the doctor wants
to speak to you on Monday if you want us to be there for support we will.

Erwin asked if Micah, Stephan, Ellen and I could be there with him to help
him understand where Tommie is mentally, physically and how to help him
overcome his past. We all said we would be there for them.

We attended the meeting with Erwin on Monday, as doctor Ed explained in
very graphic detail what Tommie had endured at the hands of the men in his
past Ellen, Stephan, Micah and Erwin sat there in shock that anyone much
less a child could survive it. Doctor Ed and I had discussed this matter in
detail before because it also involved David. Micah asked Doctor if David
had suffered a similar fate in his previous life before he came to live
with us, to which he said; very close to it Micah. Micah broke down in
tears and said; If he ever met any of his son's abusers they better have
their affairs on this earth in order because they would no longer walk on
the world that God had created, the trial of the piece of trash that Galen
had punched out that day was coming up and he would make sure that he would
never be a free man again. Stephan remarked that he didn't have to go it
alone; he would be there to support him.

Erwin asked if was ok for him and Tommie to move in together, and was
Tommie strong enough to handle a fully committed relationship. Doctor Ed
remarked; if you will take it very slowly with him and treat him as if this
is his first time also, get to know each other's bodies. Never rush
anything if you feel that things are moving too fast stop and tell him that
you have the rest of your lives to have a physical relationship. It will be
okay and if you need to talk to anyone about things you have the best 4
people to depend on.

On the way to the house I called and told Jonah to make sure that he,
Daniel, Edward, Robert, Kaden and David were there for a meeting tonight as
soon as we get home. Ellen called Tommie and asked him to meet her at home
after the boys left, he said; I'll be there mom not a problem.

As we drove up to the house Tommie was sitting on the steps, he had a
surprised look on his face when Erwin got out of the van along with his
parents, Micah and me. He asked if everything was ok with everyone, Erwin
walked up to him and wrapped his arms around him and said; I love you so
very much Tommie Holden you are my world and I'll stand beside you and
protect you from harm, it was a sentiment echoed by Stephan and Ellen as
they hugged him also.

A stunned Tommie looked at them and asked them what was up?  Erwin spoke up
and said; the boys are waiting at the Gunderson's, I want to tell them
about us and next month when you turn 17 we will be moving in together as a
couple. Tommie asked; are you sure about telling them Erwin? Am I sure that
I love you and want to share my life with you until I take my last breath
on this earth, yes Tommie I'm sure. Tommie started to cry as Erwin held
him.

We walked to the house, Micah and Stephan walked inside first followed by
Ellen and I, a minute later Tommie and Erwin walked in. all of the kids
were waiting for us in the living room Erwin walked up behind Tommie and
wrapped his arms around him for support. Tommie said; Next month when I
turn 17, I will be moving into Erwin's cabin and we will be living there as
a couple.

 David was the first one to speak he said; it's a good thing you didn't let
a stud like him get away from you Tommie because men like him only come
along once in a lifetime and you deserve a little happiness in yours. The
others gathered around them and hugged their necks. As they stood there
David spoke up again and asked Daniel if he and Jonah were going to move
also. Daniel said; we haven't thought about it why do you want to know
David? Because if you don't move you need to get a new bed the one you two
share now squeaks way too much, we can hear you two all over the house and
that noise is driving us crazy. We all busted out laughing Micah remarked
that the cat was out of the bag now, Robert smarted off and said; it's
about time because that bag was getting full.
