so far.

Previously

"Timothy was correct. I had a stroke. They have filled me with shots and
pills. The headache has almost gone and I just feel tired and so
thankful. Now you guys have not eaten. Why don't you let me rest and take
your mother out for some food and then come back and see what is
happening. I think that I could fall asleep at any moment."

After some banter and talk, the guys took Mom out to a small bistro close
to the hospital. They talked about the events after they gave MC a call to
alert her but told her not to come until tomorrow.

"Mom, I am not happy that Dad had the stroke but I am sure happy with his
attitude to us. He took Jeremy's hand. In the ambulance he told me that we
worked like a team and that Jeremy was there for me. What can I do but be
thankful."

"Timothy, the word will get around. I phoned a couple of close friends. I
know that Father Pierre will be in tonight or tomorrow."

He could see the concern in his mother's eyes. "I shall be very careful
with what I say. I hope that he is not stupid enough to talk about
counselling and change. I really don't want a scene with him. I think that
he is poisonous on this topic. I talked with Jamie about his time with
Father Gregory but I don't know if I can be as calm as he was. Mom, I
promise that I will try very hard."

They went back to the hospital to find his father still asleep. Mother and
son decided to stay for a while with Mr. Malenfant to talk to doctors and
find out all that they could. Mrs. M told Jeremy that he was to go to go
home and to go to work the next day. They all laughed when he put on an act
of having to go to work and miss all the fun. Timothy could tell that his
mother was even more in love with his guy.

Not the end of the day that he had expected but it had a promising
ending. As Jeremy, was leaving, Timothy pulled him to himself, "See you at
home. Don't wait up. Thanks." He leaned over and gave him a quick kiss.

Present

Timothy arrived home around 9:30. Jeremy put his arm around him and steered
him into the kitchen. "You need a little drink. A beer?"

"Just what the doctor ordered. I'll probably inhale it."

"Everything OK?"

"Yeah, dad woke up and chastised us for staying and eventually the doctor
came in and filled us in on what they were doing, the prognosis which is
good, and gave us some time lines. I'll fill you in tomorrow. God I am
tired."

"You were incredible at your parents' house. Where did all that come from
this afternoon? You were amazing: 'I am in charge, Dad. Not you, not Mom,
not Jeremy, me.' Have you taken courses on strokes?"

"I sort of thought of how I would approach the situation as I drove
over. Mom had told me the symptoms so I knew that I would have to take
control right from the start. When I saw the signs of stroke, I knew how
important it is to get help. You have to get treatment as quickly as
possible. We have mandatory first aid courses at work because we have
people under stress and sometimes a more senior clientele. I was winging it
with dad but I knew what I had to do, be in control of the situation."

"If that is winging it, lord help me when you are prepared. Top marks."

"Thanks so much for coming. It took the stress off Mom and Dad. Besides, I
like ordering you around."

Timothy reached over and hugged Jeremy. Jeremy gave him a kiss.

"I think that tonight is going to cost you some legal fees." He smiled at
Jeremy. "I was working on some Powers of Attorney for a client and I
realized yet again how important they can be. If you don't have them, then
you have to think about it and get it done. If we are going to the chalet
or even just football and something happens, we need to have papers that
give permission for each of us to make decisions for the other if it is
needed."

Jeremy smiled at him. "Our one month dinner is next week. Who knows what
that will bring?' Maybe it won't be necessary."

Suddenly, Timothy looked at him with narrowed eyes and his face was set, a
mask. Oh oh, Jeremy thought to himself; I saw that look earlier this
evening. Not the right way to try to be funny today.

Timothy spoke up,"OK, move it to this Saturday night. I know my decision
and if you are trying to tell me something, then I don't want to wait a
week." His tone of voice was very definite and just a bit brittle.

Jeremy returned his look. Lightly, "I can give you a hint." Without waiting
for an answer, Jeremy moved over and pulled Timothy to him. The kiss
started softly and was soon very engaging. "I would really like to change
it to this Saturday night as well." He kissed Timothy again.

"You are on. Let's choose a restaurant. If I am going to be dumped, I want
a good expensive meal." Jeremy sighed to himself but at least there was a
smile on Timothy's face as he had spoken.

"Right!" Jeremy named one of the best restaurants in town.

"Good. I think that we need to seal that deal in a very special way, one
way or the other. Might as well enjoy ourselves, right?"

"I ALWAYS enjoy myself with you." He hoped that that would change the
direction of the end of this evening.

It did. Thirty minutes later, they lay entwined and sated. Before they fell
asleep both guys realized that they had some things to do before that meal.

Both had remembered the story of Kevin and Gio's one month dinner and both
wanted it to end the same way as Kevin had planned it. Since there was not
enough time, they both came up with the same solution. They would have to
leave work early on Friday and do what they had to do.

Timothy managed to get away late in the morning to see his father over the
lunch hour. He had meetings with clients running most of the day and he
could not cancel unless there was an absolute emergency. His mother and
father were sitting in his room talking. Both welcomed him with open
arms. His father looked much better and even some of the drooping in his
face had abated a bit. His headache and blurry vision had stopped.

Timothy and his parents were chatting about the treatments and what the
doctor had said when his father looked up and smiled.

"Father Pierre, thank you for coming."

Father Pierre was an imposing man in his early fifties and had not let
himself go. He must work out and eat properly thought Timothy. He was
naturally outgoing. He looked at Timothy. "So glad to see you here with
your father. It is wonderful how emergencies can turn situations around."

Timothy said something pretty generic about being there for his
father. Then he saw his mother look up and the trace of a smile crept
across her face; her eyes brightened. Jeremy was standing in the door, not
sure what to do.

"Mr. Malenfant, you are looking so much better. I wanted to come over and
see how you were doing. Perhaps I could come back later."

Timothy was not going to have that. "Jeremy, I would like you to meet
Father Pierre. Jeremy is a friend who helped me and and the family help Dad
last night." That was a fairly neutral statement.

Still, neutral or not, Father Pierre did not look pleased. Looking at
Timothy, not Jeremy, "Very good of him to help and come and see your father
today.."

At that moment, MC arrived. She swept into the room. "Father, you look as
if you are on the road to recovery." She leaned over and kissed his
cheek. Then she hugged her mother. "Timothy I heard from Dad how you
handled the situation yesterday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.."

She turned and engulfed Jeremy in an emotional hug. "I am so glad that you
were there to help out and spend that time with Mom. Love you."

"Father Pierre how good of you to come. Welcome."

Timothy spoke up. "Dad, I think that you have enough visitors right now. I
know that I have clients this afternoon and Jeremy probably has things back
at work as well. We'll be here to pick you up tomorrow. You are looking
great." He gave his father a firm handshake. "I'll try and drop by for a
few minutes after work."

Father Pierre, "I have some others in the hospital to see and I'll come
back later to see you when everyone has gone. He waited until Timothy and
Jeremy were leaving the room and he followed them.

In the hall, he called to Timothy. "Timothy your father has wanted me to
sit down and talk to you about some matters. Maybe we could make an
appointment now."

"What matters would that be Father?"

Father Pierre looked quickly at Jeremy and then back at Timothy. "Well they
are personal matters, best left between you and me."

"Father, Jeremy and I are partners. We tend to do those sorts of things as
a team."

"Well it is that sort of team that I want to discuss with you."

"Well then he should be there. I am certain that you do talk to couples
about personal matters all the time."

"Well uhm, yes I, I, I do talk to couples .... but ... but this is
different."

"Oh how so?'" He asked it as if he had no idea what the good Father was
talking about.

He was not a stupid man. He had been manipulated by a mere slip of boy. He
was not pleased. "Timothy, I'll be blunt. I expect that you know exactly
what I want to talk to you about."

"Father, I too will be blunt. If you are taking about my relationship with
Jeremy, that is not on the table for discussion and never will be."

"You do realized what stress can do to a person and your father has been
under a lot of stress ... recently."

Timothy could see that Jeremy was beginning to become very angry. Timothy
too had reached his limit; he decided to end this conversation
immediately. He had tried hard to keep his promise to his mother but the
man was insufferable. "Father, maybe it is your constant exposition of your
views in the pulpit and to my father on a certain topic that has caused a
lot of this stress." He held up his hand to stop the reply. Jeremy saw the
signs; Timothy's eyes had narrowed almost to slits; his voice had become
lower and very calm. Father Pierre did not know the man whom he was
talking to. Jeremy smiled because he learned more about this man every day.

Timothy remembered some of the things that Jamie had said to Father
Gregory. Timothy too had read the New Testament quotes used by those
apposed to gay rights. "Why not sermons on young couples in your parish
living together outside of marriage? Why not sermons about men who abuse
their children and wives? What about sermons on pregnancies of young,
unmarried girls in your parish? What about some fairly prominent men who
everyone knows are cheating on their wives? I could go on but I think you
understand my meaning. Paul's letters to the Corinthians talks about those
and other sins to be avoided. Don't you dare try to suggest that my
orientation and my partnership caused this stroke." Jeremy looked at the
two; both of their eyes were blazing.

Timothy decided to just remain silent and see if Father Pierre would try to
fill the void. His strategy worked. "Timothy we shall have to agree to
disagree on this matter but the scripture is clear."

"Father, I agree that we shall agree to disagree." Jeremy saw the control
that that took from his guy. It was obvious that he could have gone on
longer but he had decided to leave the scripture remark untouched.

"Father, thank you for your concern and I shall tell my father that we have
talked and have agreed to disagree on this matter. Thank you for taking the
time to come and see him today. He will appreciate it a lot."

Father Pierre turned quickly and strode down the hall with no goodbye or
any further words. Not a charitable departure.

"Remind me to never, never get on your bad side."

"Let's get a quick bite at a fast food place. I have to get back to the
office. I can still make my 2 o'clock meeting. Thanks so much for coming to
see Dad. I think that he is going to like you. Can't imagine why but ...."
He leaned over and gave him a quick kiss. A nurse walking down the hall
gave them a look. Neither guy cared.

He made it to his two o'clock meeting, finished all his paper work and
ended up at the hospital at 5. His father looked rested and in good
spirits.

"Timothy, thank you for coming." His father looked at him intently. "I have
had a lot of time to think today. I have misjudged you badly. You are more
than just my son. I felt so much better when you took all the control and
worry out of my hands last night. I had no idea that I was having a stroke
but I knew that I could trust you."

"Dad, I did what any son would do. I know that we had a major disagreement
on July 2 but I left that day so that nothing really bad would be said by
you or me and I was hot under the collar that day. I hoped that, if we
didn't do any more damage, that this day would come. By the way, I have to
be honest with you. I asked Mom and she told me to do it. Jeremy and I went
to the chalet last weekend. We invited some people." His father looked a
little upset. "It was a wild crowd." He paused dramatically. "MC, Pierre,
Luc and Jake and Marie. We replaced all the gas that we used in the boat."

He father started to laugh. "Son, I want to get to know you much better. I
have been missing something."

"Might as well get it all off my chest. I talked with Father Pierre in the
hall when I left your room."

His father interrupted him. "Yes, he saw me this afternoon. He told me that
you thanked him for his concern and for visiting me."

"Father, he is being too kind. I told him after some discussion that we
would agree to disagree over his and my view of my relationship with
Jeremy. In effect, I told him that we were a couple, partners. Dad, I hate
lying and pretending to anyone. I think that it leads to misunderstanding
and more problems. Jeremy and I are going out for dinner tomorrow to
discuss our relationship. We promised when I moved into his condo that we
would not talk about it for one month. We put the meeting ahead one week
last night."

"Son, I know now that that decision is in your hands," He smiled. "Not in
mine, not in your mother's, perhaps not even in Jeremy's." Father and son
laughed at his use of Timothy's words the previous afternoon. For both of
them, it felt very good.

Jeremy was making his arrangements for Saturday night when his cell
rang. It was Timothy telling him that he had a couple of things to do and
would be home around 7. Jeremy replied that he too was off doing some
things and would be home around the same time.

They had a quick something to eat and headed out for some dancing. After
the week that they had had, they figured that they needed it. Jeremy
regaled the dads and Tom and Eric with his description of the scene at the
Malenfant home and then the next day in the hospital with Father Pierre.

Jamie stood up and went around the table and pulled Timothy into a
hug. "Timothy, quite an experience taking on a priest. I suspect that you
won't be quite as lucky as we were with Father Gregory. By the way, it
might be smart not to mention Father Gregory's name or the name of the
parish to Father Pierre. It sounds as if that man is not to be trusted."

Timothy agreed and just as they finished the music started up again. "I
think that my guy and I have to get out there and dance off all the tension
of the week." That is exactly what they did. Finally around 10:30, during a
slow dance, Jeremy pulled them apart, "I think that I want to go back to
the condo. I think that we have some unfinished business."

Jeremy could see the trace of a smile on Philipo's face when they made
their excuses of not enough sleep and being plain worn out by the whole
week. Smartly, there were no smart comments by anyone, just good wishes for
getting his father home the next day.

They walked to the car with arms around each other. Neither cared that
night who saw or what might be said. They arrived back at the condo in a
very mellow mood. Jeremy took Timothy in his arms when they entered the
condo. "Only a couple of things to do. Check the phone for messages, turn
off the lights and strip you naked in the bedroom."

"That should be interesting me naked and you fully dressed. I guess I could
take care of that for you."

Minutes later they were naked and very hard in the bedroom. They were tired
and so it was slow at the start but their languorous mood turned more
vigorous as they began to react to the wonderful feelings that was flooding
their bodies and minds. Tonight Jeremy felt that he had to make it very
clear how he felt about his guy. He smothered him with kisses and kept
telling how incredible he had been for the last days. Timothy seemed to
need that reassurance and he felt totally loved and consumed by this
man. As Timothy began his final moments, he grabbed his guy and kissed him
as if it were the last time. By the time that they came apart and lay
holding each other, each was fairly certain what the outcome of tomorrow's
dinner would be. Little did Timothy know that there would be a very
surprising twist that Jeremy would suggest.

Saturday seemed to pass quickly. When they woke, Jeremy had become a bit
amorous but Timothy said that perhaps delayed gratification should be the
order of the day. He pointed out that they had a lot to do. They had the
usual weekend chores and they had to be at the hospital for 11 in the
morning to discharge Mr. Malenfant. He had a fairly long list.

They arrived on time at the hospital but as Jeremy had expected, there were
the inevitable bureaucratic delays. There was a doctor's signature
missing. Then the nurse that was to do the actual discharge was called away
to solve a 'little' problem. That took over 30 minutes. So it was close to
one o'clock when they finally arrived at the Malenfant home.

The only person in a really good spirits was Timothy's father. He was just
happy to be feeling better and to be home. Mrs. M needed some help with
arranging his room. Then she remembered some things that she needed from
the pharmacy including the prescriptions the hospital had given his
father. Then, his mother remembered some things that she had forgotten to
buy at the grocery store. The guys split up but it still took a lot of the
afternoon.

Finally, when all was as Timothy wanted it, they were ready to go. They
accepted an invitation for lunch on Sunday with the proviso that they would
bring the food from a Thai restaurant and it would be healthy for his
father's new diet. MC and family were to be invited as well. Timothy's
father's thank you was genuine as was his thanks for the visits that the
two guys had made to the hospital. Jeremy had turned up for a few minutes
before he had gone home on Friday night for a quick visit.

"Didn't ever dream that it was going to take this long. You OK?"

"Just glad that I could help. You would have been there 'til midnight."

They had quick glass of wine and bit of humus that they had bought at the
grocery store and decided that they had better start to get ready. They
also decided that it had better be separate showers; they did have a
reservation for 7.

The guys had dressed in open neck shirts with very attractive and expensive
jackets and light weight wool pants. From the look of the Maitre d' at the
restaurant, they had passed muster very easily. It was oui, Monsieur
Malenfant, bienvenue in French and yes Mr. Marchese-Milner, welcome. Their
waiter was very professional. There was no 'hi I am so and so, your waiter
for tonight but 'gentlemen welcome to our restaurant, can I get you
something to drink while you peruse the menu,' in each language. They
finally switched to French as the waiter was obviously French
speaking. Jeremy wanted the practice.

They felt so relaxed and every course was superb. They were finally sitting
enjoying a cognac. The end to a very good evening. "Timothy, I am so sorry
that I tried to be funny about this on Thursday night." He held up his hand
to stop the response. "No it was not the time for that kind of humour. I'll
bare my soul first. You cannot even imagine how wonderful the last months
have been for me. I cannot imagine you not being with me." He looked at him
softly. "I have a little something that I want to give you and I want to go
out with you to buy it. We can start tomorrow."

He handed him an envelope. Inside was a lovely card of friendship and small
little ring. The message he had written on the card was that he wanted to
go with Timothy to buy a ring of friendship and love.

Timothy started to chuckle. "I can't believe how in sync we are." He
paused. Shaking his head, "The last weeks have been weeks that I figured
would never happen for me. Instead, extraordinary weeks in my life." He
handed him an envelope. It had a similar cheap, small ring and the same
message.

"I would love to go out tomorrow after lunch and start looking with you. It
will be so romantic. By the way, I have felt for weeks that I have been
coming home to our place."

At the same time, they reached over and took each others hands looking
directly in the other's eyes. Jeremy could see out of the corner of his eye
a couple from an near by table who were both looking at them. He stopped
and looked at them. "We just made a big decision. Hope that this doesn't
bother you." They both shook their heads no and gave them a big smile.

Jeremy released Timothy's hand. "I have given this a lot of thought. When
we had the family over for supper, the dining room was really too
small. The study is good but we couldn't really have someone stay there for
even a short time. I think that we need a bigger place." He saw Timothy's
eyes get bigger with look of total surprise. "It's OK. Not right now. I
think that we should save some more money and maybe start looking next
spring. We have lots of time to discuss what we want and where."

"You do know how to surprise a guy. We shall have to discuss all the
ramifications, location, type of place and finally money matters. There are
a lot of decisions."

"Have you noticed that we tend to discuss everything and seem to be able to
come to mutual decisions."

"Yes we do. But I want to throw out an idea that I have been thinking
about. I have never been to Europe and really want to go with you."

"Quite a night. We didn't discuss our relationship for a month and now we
have a lot to discuss. I guess it didn't stop us from thinking about it. I
am so happy. Let's go. I want to go home."

"Exactly, let's go home, not to a condo."

They arrived back home after a wonderful walk to the car. They didn't hold
hands but there was touching and there were little endearments as they
went. When they opened the door, to both of them, it seemed that they were
entering a different place. Timothy felt so relaxed and joyful. Jeremy felt
at peace and truly happy for the first time in a long while.

Jeremy put his arm around Timothy and moved them to the living room. He
told him to wait a minute. He had put a bottle of very good champagne
hidden in the back of the refrigerator. He returned with champagne flutes
fizzing with the delicate bubbles and giving off that little bit of
effervescence to the nose.

He sat beside Timothy. "Here is to you. Here is to us. Dad has said it so
often, Jeremy, some time, some place, someone. You are my someone."

"If you hadn't taken me out of the closet, I would probably have been in it
for the rest of my life. I am free to be myself for the first time. I have
my family beside me and I have you." True to form, his eyes were wet with
tears of happiness and Jeremy pulled him to him and kissed his eyes.

"Another couple of sips and then I want to seal this deal."

Both wanted so badly to express their feeling physically. That can be so
meaningful when everything is just right and both knew that this was such a
night. They put in a stopper to keep the Champagne to keep it from losing
all its effervescence. They put their arms around each other as they turned
off lights and walked down the hall. They stopped several times for light
kisses with just the tip of the tongue.

The slowly undressed each other stroking the beautiful skin as it was
bared. There were light kisses on the neck and shoulders causing each to
make little whimpering noises. Timothy looked at Jeremy. They spent a lot
of time with just their shorts on as their fingers roamed over the thighs
and through the hair.

Jeremy slowly took off Timothy's shorts. His cock snapped up almost against
his stomach. Jeremy stood back and let his eyes travel from Timothy's head
to his feet. "I hope that you realize that you have a really magnificent
body. From the beautiful skin colour, just the right amount of hair and the
beautifully toned torso. You have hardly touched me and look what you have
done to me." He looked down at his shorts with a huge bulge. He moved his
hands down to remove his own shorts.

Timothy smiled. "Uh, uh, no, my job." Timothy leaned over and kissed all
over his chest with his mouth finally ending on Jeremy's right nipple. The
nipple was very quickly wet, hard and inflamed with blood flowing to
it. Timothy continued kissing Jeremy's chest and then his stomach as he
knelt in front of him. His tongue and mouth left the huge bulge wet and
even bigger. He slowly removed the shorts and quickly took the red, pulsing
cock into his mouth. He looked up at Jeremy. His eyes were closed and he
looked as he were transported to some other place. As he looked up, his
mouth had come off of Jeremy. His eyes slowly opened looking unfocused and
totally involved.

Timothy stood up. "You have completed me. As I have said many times, you
have set me free. Jeremy the first time that I spoke to you, I felt an
incredible connection. You didn't remember my name but you promised me you
would. I think sometimes if I hadn't taken you up on that promise and
approached you at the wedding, I would never have a someone in my life. I
do now. Please make love to me. I never thought that I would say that to
anyone."

They lay side by side kissing and fondling each other's body. They were
both so hard that it almost hurt but each touch was achingly sensuous and
drove them to more and more passionate feelings. Finally, Timothy smiled
and turned onto his back and opened his legs. He became mesmerized as
Jeremy stood up to get the lube. He too saw the magnificent physique of his
lover. He knew that Jeremy meant what he said about him but Jeremy's
muscular chest glowed in the muted light and the hair on his chest made him
look so sexy.

With a smile, Jeremy came to the side of the bed and slowly put lots on
himself. He ended with his cock red and shining. Oh shit it looked so sexy
and sensuous. He leaned over and gently put some in Timothy and around his
opening. Again he slowly moved over between Timothy's legs and placed his
cock near Timothy's entrance.

"Timothy hold me and stroke me lightly and then place me where you want
me."

It felt amazing and when he was placed at Timothy's entrance, he leaned
over and kissed him passionately as he entered him. Both felt joined
together as one, as partners and lovers. Their bodies reacted to the other
with passion and joy. Waves of sensations coursed through them and then
Jeremy would stop just over Timothy telling him how good he felt and how
much he meant to him. There would be touches and kisses until Jeremy could
wait no longer and he would start his powerful in and out strokes that
inflamed Timothy and himself even more.

As it usually happens, they reached that point where they could not stop
and didn't want to. They knew that there would be more times that night and
the next morning. So Jeremy warned his guy that he was too close and
Timothy smiled and gently told him to do it. With his eyes closed and his
face aglow, Jeremy took his last strokes and called out Timothy's name and
finished with his entire nervous system inundated by waves of
pleasure. Suddenly, Timothy stiffened beneath him and went over himself. He
pulled Jeremy to him and kissed him until he started to breathe hard and
pulled him down onto himself whispering Jeremy's name again and again.
